It is a nice Sunday noon. Neither too hot nor too cold. Yet the weather could not bring comfort for Eun ha and Hana as Hana is crying her heart out. Her parents are fighting again and Eun ha could only lend her ears to comfort her best friend. She is trying to coax Hana to return home and finally after two hours of coaxing she manages to persuade Hana to at least stay with her aunt instead of sauna. Well, it the best solution she could come up with since Hana refuses to come home or stay in her house. Hana's aunt offers to send her home but Eun ha refuses saying she want to take a walk home since the weather is nice.
On her walk, Eun ha couldn't help but reminiscing about her past. The past that resurfing when she is coaxing Hana. A dark time when her dad is missing and her mom couldn't stop crying. A time when everything she knew fall apart. She still remember thinking 'why did dad didn't come home? Why mom keeps on crying? Are they fighting?'
Then come the name change, and her friends tell her that her parents are definitely getting divorced. She refutes it, because she never even seen them fighting. If anything, they were always seems far too in love with each other. Yet, months after her dad still aren't home and her mom is still silently crying. So she starts to believe her friends. She starts to prepare herself to see less of her dad and start omitting his picture from her drawing.
Then after what felt like a lifetime, her dad comes home but he is different. Not entirely different but he forgets a lot of thing. That when Eun ha learns about amnesia. She remembers how weird it felt when her parents give each other a hug whenever they drop mom off to work when before they used to give each other a quick kiss. She remembers how happy she feels when dad starts remembering tiny details about the time they spent together. She remembers how they develop a new routine while incorperating any old routine her dad remembers together. She remembers how much of a roller coaster of journey they had while they start paving a road to a happier future together.
She sighs when she realises she already arrive home. It seems she was lost in the past. She takes a deep breath and knock on the door. Before the panic brought by Hana phone call in the early morning, she is suppose to help clean the house, but Hana crying voice bring that plan to a halt.
Her dad opens the door and her mom greets her saying 'You could just open the door, you do knew the password.
'Of course I do, but you two have traumatise me enough that I learn my lesson the hard way, always knock on the door whenever I leave you two alone'. And judging by the fact that she could still see a bit of lipstick remain in her dad lips, she definitely made the right choice this time. Her teasing words leave her parents red and a quick order to help them with the cleaning.
She starts cleaning but stop when she heard her mom teasing dad. Her parents has always acting like a newlyweds as far as she can remember. Sometimes, their PDA even leaves her embarrassed. Minus the time when she was in the kindergarten, she couldn't remember when was the last time they truly has a fight.
While they are an embarrassment to a teen like her, sometimes, especially when she remembers the dark time, she immediately grateful that they find their way back to each other. Because the love that radiate from them tell her they need each other to be happy and content.The tiny embarrassment she feels is a small price to pay for her family happiness. For her dad smile, for her mom laugh and to her family happiness.
