“I, Wang Fu, hereby relinquish the miracle box, and name Ladybug and Chat Noir the new guardians.:”
“Nooo!”

It’s been a few months since that event. Ladybug and Chat Noir have devolved a system for the miraculous, Ladybug holds the box, and Chat Noir gets a new miraculous every patrol to bond with them. However, their lives are about to be turned upside down.
“Chat, I have to leave Paris for a bit. I’m trusting you to hold the box until I return, and to get me here asap if there’s an akuma.”
“Will do Ladybug.”

“Things have changed dramatically since Miracle Queen.” Marinette wrote in her diary. “Chloe’s being put on trial for working with Hawkmoth/Mayura. I don’t think the mayor could ever get out of that since I saw her TRY TO GRAB AND AKUMA! If only we could find proof for Lila. Sabrina’s getting better about standing up for herself. The rest of the class is going to New York for French-American friendship week. I’m going with the rest of the class to try to convince Mr. Agreste to let Adrien come with. I got to go diary, see you later.”

“Please Mr. Agreste, with Chloe most likely getting kicked out of France. The whole class has all seen how his smile isn’t as bright as it was. We were hoping that if he gets out and connects with us, then he won’t get akumatized.” Marinette said, getting ready to start begging.
“You’re right.”
“Ple- wait what?”
“Are you back-tracking your statement?” Mr. Agreste asked.
“No-no-no. I was just surprised that you agreed with me that easily. It’s been hard to get Adrien to hang out with us in the past.”
“You’re right. I want to make sure that Adrien is okay, especially with the emotional war going on right now.”
“Thank you, Mr.Agreste.” Marinette said, turning to talk away.”

“Pag your bags Adriebn, your heading to New York with the rest of the class.”
“B- Yes Father.”

“Why didn’t you say no Master Adrien?” Wayzz asked.
“First, just Adrien or Chat is fine. Second, before Ladybug asked me to hold the miraculous box, I was begging father to let me go. It would be weird if I suddenly didn’t want to go. C’mon Plagg, I need to let Ladybug know. Claws out!”

“Greetings LB, I have some bad news.” Chat said, once Ladybug took a seat.
“What’s wrong Chaton?”
“I have to leave Paris for a bit. My parent pulled a last-minute trip on me. I can’t watch Paris.”
“What are we going to do then? We need someone to be here for akuma watch.” Ladybug said.
“I have an idea. Plagg, Wayzz Unify!” Chat said “Plagg Divide!”
“What are you doing Chat?"
“I was thinking, we can obtain miraculous from the box as ourselves, so what if we can obtain them from a different miraculous. That way we can give the miraculous to people we trust here, and have them put it in the box in case we need them wherever we’re going!” Chat, now Kame, said as he pulled out the mouse miraculous from the shield. “It works!”
“That’s genius Chat! Do you have anyone in mind?"
“Does it have to be a kid? Or can it be an adult?”
“Miraculous work with both teens and adults.” Plagg said, flying to Kame’s face. “Who you thinking of Kid?”
“I‘ll tell you later. Lb, do you have someone?”
“Yes, but we’re going to have to tell them our identity so we can give them the miraculous without sending Hawkmoth off. Can you trust them 100% to not tell a soul?”
“Yes. I trust them with my life.”
“Okay. Tell your person to give the cat miraculous to mine after any akuma’s. They’re going to put the miraculous away and grab them if there’s multiple akumas.”

“Mama, can you come here please?” Marinette called from her room.
“Just a second sweetie.” Sabine said, walking up the stairs. “What’s wrong?”
“I’m sorry Mama, I’ve been lying to you.”
“About what? As long as it’s not dangerous, it’ll be fine.”
“About that.”
“Mari, what did you do?” Sabine said in a stern, yet caring, voice.
“Tikki, you can come out.”
“Hello, Mrs. Cheng, it's an honor to officially meet you.” Tikki said, coming out of hiding.
“Isn’t that the same creature that Chloe used to turn into Queen Bee?”
“Yes, mama. Tikki is a kwami, more accurately, my kwami.”
“You’ve been lying to save the world on occasion. I’m so proud of you.”
“Mama, I haven’t been saving the world, it’s only Paris. And I kinda do it like everyday.”
“I am the kwami of creation, or Ladybug’s kwami.” Tikki said, flying onto Sabine’s hand.
“You’re Ladybug?” Sabine said, with a hint of disbelief. “Your father and I are so proud, but why are you telling me?”
“Well, I’m going to New York and Chat will also be out of town, so I was hoping that you could be Ladybug until I get back. Chat is getting someone for his miraculous now, so you can get to know each other before any akumas come. Once a battle is done, then Chat’s person will give you the miraculous to put in the miracle box, that way Chat and I can access them if need be.”
“Okay, what’s a miracle box though?”
“The miraculous box is where most of the kwami’s live, there’s 5 out currently. Tikki, Plagg, who’s Chat kwami, Wayzz, who’s Carapace’s and who’s with Chat, Nooroo, and Dussu who are Hawkmoth’s and Mayura’s kwamis, but you can meet the rest, and I’ll give chat another miraculous so you can meet Wayzz once we meet up.”
“Hello Mr. Dupain.” Adrien said once the store was empty and closed.
“Adrien! I thought I’ve told you to just call me Tom.”
“Sorry Tom.”
“It’s no hair off my back, but how are you m’boy?”
“I wanted to talk to you in private if you wouldn’t mind.”
“Not at all. We can talk in the back.”
“So what did you want to talk about?” Tom asked, once the two were safely in the back.
“Plagg?”
“You’re Pigtail’s dad. Uh, better than yours.” Plagg said.
“What’s that?” tom asked, getting ready to protect himself and Adrien from Plagg if needed.
“This is Plagg, my kwami. He’s what lets me transform into Chat Noir.”
“Kwami?” Tom asked, right before the realization hits. “YOU'RE CHAT NOIR!”
“Tell the whole Neighhood can hear.”
“Sorry. But I’m proud of you son, and I’m sure Sabine is too.” At the word ‘son’, Adrien starts to feel tears forming.
“Tom thinks of me as his son, AND he’s proud of me.” Adrien thought, and Tom brought him into a hug.
“I approve of you being a father figure to my kid.” Plagg said, curly up on Adrien’s head. “You’re much better than his sperm donor.”
“So, whatcha need?” Tom asked, ending the hug, and silently processing what Plagg had said.
“My father’s-”
“Sperm donor” Plagg interrupted.
“Father’s making me go to New York with the rest of the class, and Ladybug’s going somewhere as well, so we need a substitute Ladybug and Chat Noir. Ladybug’s choosing someone. How it’s going to work is, we’re going to meet up with LB and her person and you two can get used to your powers. Either myself or Ladybug will probably use the fox miraculous to hide you guys from everyone else, to give Hawkmoth a surprise. Whenever a battle’s done, you’ll give the miraculous to LB’s person so she can put it in the miracle box, so Lb and I can access them at any time.”
“Okay. what’s the miracle box?”
“The miracle box is the kwami’s home. Ladybug holds onto it since I don’t want Nathalie, or any of the staff to find it. Do you accept?”
“Of course. You should be able to have some fun.” Adrien took off the ring, handing it to Tom.
“To transform, say Claws out. We better go, we’re supposed to meet up with Lb in 10 minutes.
“Claws out!” Tom said.
“Wayzz, Shell on! What should I call you?”
“Papa Noir.”
“Call me Kame, we better go.”

“Hello Ladybug.” Kame said
“Hello Chaton, is this who you choose?”
“Yep. Meet Papa Noir!”
“This is Mama bug.” Just then Papa Noir ran up and hugs Lady Rena, aka Ladybug with the fox miraculous, whispering “I’m so proud.”
“Can I talk to Papa Noir?”
“Okay. But why did he hug you?”
“She just reminds me of my daughter.” Papa Noir said.
“I’m so confused. Why did you hug me and say that you were proud?”
“I saw Mama bug and recognized her. I put two and two together.”
“Papa?” Lady Rena asked carefully.
“Hello Mari.”
“Why did Chat choose you?”
“I have no clue, but I would wait until he knows who you are, otherwise he’ll figure it out. He does know who I am.”
“Okay. We better go back before Mama reveals myself.”
“Did Mama Bug expose me?” Lady Rena asked.
“Nope, all she said was that she was your mom.”
“Let’s get started then.”

“I can’t believe I almost missed the bus.” Marinette said to Adrien, on their way to the airport.
“In typical Marinette fashion.” Adrien said in response. The two had gotten closer after Miracle Queen. Marinette had pushed her crush on Adrien to the side since she couldn’t date while being the guardian, with the same being true on Adrien’s side with Ladybug.
“On the bright side, you're here! We can have a great time together!”

“What’s your seat Marinette?”
“32B.”
“You’re sitting next to me and the Gorilla! Alya and Nino are by the window.”

“I love my dude, but he’s stuck in the same place. I hope this trip can help him loosen up.” Nino said to Alya once Adrien and Marinette fell asleep.
“This trip could be used as Adrienette time!” Alya said to Nino.
“Operation New York!” Alya and Nino said in sync.
“Don’t worry passengers. The united heroes have the situation under control.” Uncanny Valley said throughout the airplane.
“Tenchopirate, you are under arrest. I suggest you surrounder.” Knight Owl said, tying up Tenchopirate.
“I’d like to give you all a welcome to the united states, from all of the united heroes.” Majestia said.

“So what happened on the plane with you and Adrien?” Alya asked Marinette on the bus to the hotel.
“Nothing, we both had to use the bathroom, and we saw the sunset.” Marinette replied. “I told you, Alya, I’m over Adrien. He needs friends right now, not a girlfriend.”
“Sure you are.”
“Relax dude, I know you're worried about Chloe, but she chose this.” Nino said, taking Adrien’s phone out of his hands. “Let’s forget about Paris and Hawkmoth for a while. We’re in New York.”
“I know.” Adrien said, hoping that Tom and Mama bug could handle themselves for a few days.
“Open your eyes, take it all in.” Nino said, rotating Adrien’s head, gently, towards Marinette and Alya. “Amazing isn’t it?”
“It really is.”
“The students are on their way.” Sparrow said to Uncanny Valley.
“Got it. Meet you in the lobby.”

“Two of them are missing?” Aeon said. “I wonder where they ar-. Found them.”
Marinette and Adrien were stuck in the automatic doors, the only explanation is that kwami’s and technology don’t mix.
“They could use a little help.” Aeon said, messing with the tech to open the door, but making them fall onto the floor.
“Are you two okay?” Alya asked while she and Nino help them to their feet.
“I’m okay, and I think Marinette is too.”
“What was up with those doors?” Nino asked.
“No clue.”
“There’s a party on the roof if you guys would like to come.” Delmar said.
“We’ll be there.” Alya said back with the others nodding along.

“I’m sorry, I only have 2 hotdogs for the 4 of you.” Hotdog Dan said, giving them to our heroes.
“Alya and I can share one, and you guys can share the other.” Nino said, breaking one in half.
“Here Adrien.” Marinette said. Our heroes ate the hotdog and started to fly upwards.
“Adrien’s finally loosening up!” Nino said, with a high-pitched voice from his and Alya’s hotdog.
“Aeon, you were right. They are made for each other.” Jess said, pulling her guitar out to start playing.
“With Marinette and Adrien, things are never simple.” Alya said, walking over them Jess and Aeon. “Do you know how to play this song?”
“Hey, we always end up dancing to this song.” Adrien said, pulling Marinette closer.
“Thanks Adrien.”
“ Akuma Alert! ” Marinette’s and Adrien’s phones rang out.
“We must have forgotten to turn that off.” Marinette said, reaching out her phone. “It says it’s Markov, but he’s right here. It’s either a senti-monster or illusion!”
“Robutus has been defeated in record-time thanks to-. You aren’t Ladybug and Chat Noir?!” Nadia said over MAri’s phone.
“Ladybug and Chat Noir are currently unavailable at the moment., we are temporally taking over.” Mama bug said.
“May we know who you are?”
“Mama bug.”
“Papa Noir.”
“Are you Ladybug and Chat Noir’s parents?”
“I am Ladybug’s mother.”
“I’m Chat Noir’s father-in-law.”
“Chat Noir’s married?” Nadia almost screamed out.
“No. I see him as a son, but we aren’t related,” Papa Noir said, pulling Mama bug into a kiss.
“We must be off. See you later.” Mama bug said, leaving with Papa Noir following suit.

Once in their rooms, Adrien decides to think over the akuma events. “Tom kissed Mama bug, so he’s cheating on Sabine. But Tom would never do that. I’m going to talk to him. Wayzz, shell on.” Kame reached into the shield, grabbing Kalkki and unifying the two.
“Why did you kiss Mama bug?” Kame asked loudly towards Tom. Then it clicked. “Mama bug’s Sabine, which means that Marinette's Ladybug! But I can’t tell her, I have to be the guardian full time, since I know her identity. I can only hope that Nathalie will never find the miraculous box.”
“Slow down, Adrien.” Tom said, putting his hands on Adrien. “Back up and repeat.”
“I can’t be Chat Noir anymore since I know who Ladybug is. I’ll be put on full guardian duty.”
“Why don’t you two talk when you get back, for real this time.”

“Wayzz, there’s an akuma here. I need to get Marinette out of here and get Plagg. Shell, on!”
“Pollen, Buzz on!”
“Looks like you could use some help.” Lady bee said, helping Sparrow up.
“Thanks, ugh….”
“Right, just a second.” Lady Bee said, grabbing her earrings and unifying, soon leaving Ladybug in her place.
“Thanks, Ladybug.”
“Whatta know LB. Looks like Hawkmoth’s in New York.” Chat Noir said.
“Nice to see you too Chaton. Let’s do our thing.”
“Lucky Charm!”
“You leave my child alone!” Majestia said, mashing Technolizar through multiple buildings, leading to Hawkmoth taking him. “Are you 4 alright?”
“We’re fine mother, though Sparrow almost got squashed. Ladybug was able to help him before anything happened.”
“It’s not other yet. He still has his akuma.” Ladybug said, before throwing her lucky charm for the cure. “We’ll be in here for a few more days, so get uncanny Valley to contact us if there's anymore akumas.”
“This has been great meeting you, but LB and I need to talk.” Chat Noir said, before they ran to the sewers.
“What’s up Chat?”
“I know who you are, Princess.”
“How? I was so careful.”
“Honestly, it was the kiss that Papa Noir gave to Mama bug. I know he wouldn’t cheat on his wife, so I connected the dots.” Chat Noir said, reaching up to his ring finger. “I guess it’s time. Claws in.”
“Spots off. Time for what?”
“I renounce you, Plagg.”
“What?!”
“I know your identity Mari, and we can’t risk that. I’ll be the guardian full-time. You need to find a new Chat Noir. I’ll keep using Wayzz as a kwami, so you can contact me that way. I’ll get the miracle box once I’m back in Paris, which probably won’t belong.” Adrien said running off.
“Chat Noir!” Marinette said, looking for him, but the only thing she saw was the ring that once belonged to Chat Noir.

“You never should have gone to New York, it’s too dangerous if that akuma running around.”
“You know Marinette, I wouldn’t have minded being here with you a little longer.” Adrien said as he turned and entered the car.
“What are you doing Marinette? He wanted you to convince him to stay.” Alya said, running down the stairs.
“He made his choice, I can’t do anything.”
“Marinette, people can make the wrong choice. It’s up to friends and family to help them choose the right path. We are Adrien’s family. SO, do you want him to go, or to stay?”
“Alya, that choice was his father’s. I would love for him to stay, but it’s family above friends, and that’s all we’ll ever be.

“I’m sorry, I never wanted to hurt French-American friendship week. If my freedom is costing the celebration, then I gladly surrounder.” Miraclonizer said.
As the crowd of heroes grows, so does the smirk on his and Hawklmoth’s face. “I just want your freedom, after all. Liberation! I free you from your fears.”
“Good job, now hook me up so all of New York and America can see.”Hawkmoth said. “Ladybug and Chat Noir, you have 15 minutes to give your miraculous to me, or we’ll have World war 3 on your hands. There are nuclear weapons in play.”
“We have to help them.” Aeon said to Jess. “We’ll need Lady Luck to help. She and Chat Noir have never been defeated before, and they won’t be by themselves anymore.”
“No one ones who they are. You don’t even know how to contact them.” Jess said, turning into Sparrow.
“Leave that to me.”
“Marinette Dupain-Cheng, New York needs Ladybug. Techno-pirate is back with an akuma.”
“I can’t be Ladybug with him. Chat Noir is gone.”
“I know just who to look for.”
“Adrien Agreste, Ladybug needs Chat Noir.”
“I can’t. It’s too dangerous.”
“ I can’t be LAdybug without him. I think that’s up to her to decide.” Uncanny Valley said, holding the ring towards him.
“Got it.” Adrien said, taking the ring. “Plagg, Claws out!”

“We need to get the handcuffs. He had them the first time.” Ladybug said, after pulling Sparrow from the missile’s range.
“That doesn’t explain the costume and power upgrade though.” Sparrow said.
“Looks like Hawkmoth has gotten his hands on another miraculous, M’Lady.” Astro Chat said, landing and turning back into Chat Noir, with Uncanny Valley by his side.
“Chaton!” Ladybug said, running up to Chat and hugging him. “Don’t you ever do that again.”
“I’ll be damned. You did it.”
“First things first, we need to get the eagle miraculous back, then free the heroes, who will help us beat Techlonizer.”
“We can’t get near any of them though.”
“Nothing impossible for Lady Luck.”
“You mean the bug and cat team. Lucky Charm!”
“Does this happen every time?” Uncanny Valley asked.
“Yep, just with different objects.” Chat replied.
“I have a plan. Doorman can get us to Paris, but we just have to remind him of one mission.”

“Of course. I should have started there.” Doorman said, going to the Effiel tower, before going to the base of the Statue of Liberty. “Let me at least see what's inside the safe.”
Ladybug and Chat Noir quickly ran up the stairs and meet u pMiraclizer, quickly grabbing the eagle miraculous and sending it down to Jess.
“Lirri, Wings of Liberty!” Jess said before quickly saying “Cooldown” freeing the rest of the heroes.
“If I remember correctly, it’s been 15 minutes. I guess that means it’s time.” Techlonizer said, as he pressed the launch button.
“No!” Ladybug and Chat Noir called out, But Majestia quickly broke the missile. Just as quickly, Knight Owl tied Technolizer up, letting Chat call his cataclysm and destroying the handcuffs.
“No more evil-doing for you little akuma. Time to devilize!” Ladybug said as she grabbed the akuma. “Bye-bye little butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug!”
“Here Ladybug.” Eagle said, ready to take the miraculous off.
“Keep it. I know it will do you much better than it will in Paris.”
“Thank you Ladybug and Chat Noir. If you ever need a hand, feel free to give us a call.” Majestia said.

“What about our identities?” Ladybug said Uncanny Valley.
“It will be uploaded to my memory, only to be accessed if we need your help again. I won’t remember it until then. Once we say goodbye since Chat needs a helping hand back.”
“Got it. Talk when I get back?”
“Will do LB.” Chat Noir said.
“You know, I’ve missed your nicknames.”
“Well then M’Lady, consider them back.”
“You two really are made for each other.” Uncanny said.
“I hope we are Princess, you being you changes nothing. But I hope you’ll let this cat into your heart sometime.”
“You better go Chat. I’ll see you in Paris.”
“Can’t wait, Buganette.”

“So what was that about Chat?” Ladybug said upon her arrival back in Paris.
“I thought since I figured out your identity you wouldn’t want me fighting with you anymore, with me playing Master Fu’s role.”
“I still can’t believe you chose my dad!”
“You were amazing at being Multimouse and I knew he would protect whoever you chose, the choice was clear for me.”
“What about the son-in-law bit?”
“He called me son and said he was proud and Sabine would be too when I told him, Plagg even approved of him!”
“How do we go from here?”
“That’s your call, M’Lady. I’ve always followed you until the end of the earth, and I’m not stopping now.”
“You know Chat.” Ladybug said, eyes closed. “You did find a way into my heart. I will never be Ladybug without you as my Chat Noir.”
“Is there a place for Adrien Agreste too, Princess?”
Ladybug gave an audible gasp before saying, “More than you think Sunshine. More than you think.”
