Blood Red Mini Huggy

Summary:

As a mother, it's Mommy Long Leg's job to protect all of her children! Every child inside of the Game Station should be and feel safe as long as she's around.

So, when a red Mini Huggy has its string cut and tries to harm one of the children...

...Well, Mommy Long Legs does what she has to do to protect her little playmate from the feral little thing.

Work Text:

She watched the child through the window, the small sticky pads on her glove-like hands and shoes allowing her to stick to it.

There was only one more child who would be playing Whack-A-Wuggy today, this little girl named April. Her blonde pigtails bounced up and down as she skipped into the center of the room, the grab pack on her back almost bouncing a bit too. The girl clearly had itchy trigger fingers. Oh, it looked like she wanted to make that blue hand shoot out and hit the wall.

The girl looked up at the glass, and instantly smiled when she caught sight of Mommy Long Leg's face pressed against the window. April waved up at her with her right hand and Mommy waved back. What a sweet little girl! How polite!

She almost didn't want to let her leave.

But, all the kids had to leave at the end of the day. Escorted out by those workers. Her little playmates could never stay all night, they had to return home with their real mommy or daddy. Sometimes with an older sister, older brother, or older sibling. Oh, if only she could keep one here.

She bet she was better than all of those kids' real mommies anyway!

April looked away when the tutorial video turned on and informed her about how to play. Mommy had heard the recording over and over. She was sure she could become a replacement for it if it ever broke. She knew all the tutorials by heart!

The little girl watched intently, memorizing every word that was said. The moment the video ended, she began to look around, grinning at the pure thought of winning. She waved one more time to Mommy before truly starting, of course!

Watching any of the children play any of the three games in the Game Station was endlessly entertaining to Mommy Long Legs. She loved watching them win the most! The proud grins on their faces, the occasional first pump they'd do. She made a point to tell them how proud she was that they won. And oh, how smart, how strong and how persistent they were.

She enjoyed seeing them lose sometimes, too. It made her heart ache a little, seeing them frown in disappointment or sadness. She'd comfort them, telling her little playmates that they'll do better next time and that she was sure they'd win eventually. Children were such persistent little things! They'd come back an hour later and with her encouragement, try again! They'd always win the second or third time.

Seeing them lose proved how persistent the little playmates were, how resilient.

She also got to prove that she was a fantastic mother!

The children sometimes got hurt playing the games and would have to forfeit them. Quit. It happened the most often during Statues. They'd try to climb over the cardboard walls in there and knock them over (which would cause them to fall), they'd accidentally let go of the ring lights the brave few would actually try to climb on, or they'd trip and fall on their faces (causing them to bleed).

Oh, she could barely restrain herself from breaking the window and jumping down to help that poor kid!

Instead, she hurried through the vents or through holes. Sometimes, PJ Pug-A-Pillar would be already helping the kid, the sweet thing! He was taking away Mommy's attention though, and soon enough, they wouldn't need her in here. She couldn't have that.

Once she got there, she'd pick the child up with her stretchy arm and bring them to the exit, comforting them on the way. She'd shower them in praise and tell them how brave they were.

Sometimes they'd leave the Game Station altogether, to never return, leaving Mommy. Sometimes they'd be back ten minutes to an hour later, braver and more determined than ever!

She truly admired all of her little playmates, and she wished she could have them stay forever! They'd thrive under her care, and be endlessly entertained—

—Her thoughts were cut short by a red Mini Huggy jumping out of a pipe.

Its string had been cut. Its mouth was wide open, and it looked like it was going to bite April.

Her maternal instincts and conditioning kicked in at the moment the Mini Huggy lunged at the sweet, sweet girl and Mommy Long Legs threw caution to the wind.

Protect the child, protect that little girl at all costs.

Her pupils dilated, leaving almost no room in her eyes for her green irises. She unattached herself from the glass and quickly changed her entire position, changing her hand into a fist before slamming it into the window.

It broke, a shard or two getting stuck in her glove, and she lunged through.

That was all she remembered.

The next thing she knew, she was holding a dead Mini Huggy in her left hand, having squeezed it to death. Blood stained its already red fur from when it had supposedly coughed some out during her squeezing. Her legs sat in front of her head and her body was practically flipped around. Butt closer to the ceiling, face closer to the floor.

Her pupils slowly began to contract when she noticed April sitting on the floor, on her little yellow skirt, blood flowing from her arm. The little girl's body was shaking, her eyes were wide, and Mommy swore she was paler than before.

Oh, her poor little playmate! She was so scared. This experience must have been so traumatic for the girl!

"Mommy is so sorry you had to see that! This reckless, feral little Huggy should have a string. Don't worry, Mommy will find the person responsible-"

She held a glove-like hand out, but April scooted away. She seemed...deathly afraid while looking at Mommy.

April got up, discarding the grab pack and holding her own arm for a few seconds, staring at Mommy, before the game ended. The moment it did and the doors opened, she ran.

She ran away from Mommy. She didn't say thank you for saving her, she didn't say anything.

Her little playmate just ran out of Whack-A-Wuggy, to never return (but Mommy was for sure going to see her again).

Mommy Long Legs dropped the dead Mini Huggy, leaving it on the floor for the next person in Whack-A-Wuggy to see, before grabbing onto one of the window sills with a stretchy pink glove-like hand and pulling herself up and onto it.

Mommy Long Legs didn't notice one of the workers walking into Whack-A-Wuggy and gasping at the sight of the dead red Mini Huggy.

She had a cheater to find, and a little playmate to teach some manners.

After all, if someone saves you, you should always thank them!

And if you threaten the life of one of her little playmates...

Well, she had to do what a good mommy does, and give them a suitable punishment for the crime!

Serving their limbs to Huggy Wuggy on a silver platter while she ate their insides.
