and i'll do anything you say (if you say it with your hands)

Summary:

“We stopped being friends the moment you decided to work for Silco.”

“That hurts my feelings, you know?” He further closes in on her, barely a hairbreadth apart as he whispers. “I still care about you a lot.”

She glares at him, ignoring the painful pang she feels in her chest at his admission. “Did you care about the innocent people you hurt and killed for him too?”

“But not you." He leans in closer until his nose is brushing against hers. “Never you.”

They've been enemies ever since Powder established the Firelights and Ekko became Silco's left-hand man. But it could never be quite that simple between the two of them. For what are love and hate, if not two sides of the same coin?

Notes:

this is v/ questionable, no one fucking perceive me rn. and yes its very much based on mush's reverse au art because. yeah. well anyway happy timebomb week!

Work Text:

Her mission is clear: Sneak into the warehouse stationed on the docks, destroy the shipment of shimmer they keep there and quietly sneak back out before anyone notices. Silco had kept this shipment under wraps, not wanting to deal with the meddlesome Firelights once again, but one of them had managed to find out through a drunk loudmouth at the Last Drop and so they quickly started planning.

Despite protests and concerns of her fellow Firelights, she’d decided to solo this mission. Aside from the fact that they’d lost enough numbers in the past because of Silco, the shipment wasn’t too heavily guarded. It was in their best interest to do this as covertly as possible. She didn’t want to risk losing anyone else and had enough faith that her guns and bombs were enough to get this job done.

Besides, Powder was really fucking sick of seeing her friends suffering because of shimmer while the chembarons fattened their pockets.

She uses her tranquilizers to make quick work of the enforcers guarding the warehouse. The dosage is quick-working but non-lethal. It'll keep them unconscious for long enough while she does what she has to do. After grabbing the keys off of one of them, she quietly sneaks into the warehouse, keeping her eye out for any more possible guards. Spotting none, she quietly releases a relieved sigh and heads toward the marked container.

From the corner of her eye, she spots a sudden movement. She quickly reaches for her gun, spinning around– but faster than she can react, it's smacked out of her hands and she’s roughly pushed against the container. A large pair of hands grab both her wrists, pinning them above her head. She hears her gun hit the concrete in the distance while electric green eyes bore into hers.

“Well hello there, Pow-Pow,” he jeers with a grin sharp enough to cut through steel.

“Ekko!” she sneers, fighting against his hold. He mockingly laughs and tightens his grip on her wrists, pressing a knee between her thighs to keep her immobile. She huffs a frustrated breath but stops struggling. It’s no use. When it comes to close-range combat he overwhelms her with sheer strength. She needs to think of a way to distract him quickly.

“Oh?” He curiously raises an eyebrow at her. “Giving up already? Never took you for a quitter, little Pow-Pow.”

“Stop calling me that,” she snaps, unconsciously struggling against his hold again and wincing when he tightens his grip on her wrists.

“Now, now,” he shakes his head in disapproval, “that’s no way to talk to a dear friend, now is it?”

She swallows at his proximity, knowing there’s truth to his words. It’s why she decided it would be better if she goes by herself, should anything happen. Ekko can never bring himself to finish the job when it’s her. After all, she’s the same when it comes to him.

Powder sees his eyes flicker down to her mouth before he looks back up at her eyes and she feels her breath catch in her throat. Despite knowing better by now, she's unable to keep her composure when he looks at her like that. For a moment they just stay like that, staring at one another, hyper-aware of the lack of space between them.

“So where’s your boyfriend?” He suddenly breaks the silence, startling her.

She frowns at him in confusion. “Who?”

“You know who. That one Vastaya that’s always with you.”

“Scar’s not my boyfriend.” She gapes, dumbfounded by his sudden change in subject.

“Then what is he to you?” He glares at her, closely studying her face.

She glares back. “Why do you care?”

“Answer the question.”

“Make me.”

She sees him sharply inhale through his nose – in a rare, clear display of frustration – before he leans forward, crashing his mouth against her. A surprised sound gets caught in the back of her throat. Ekko kisses the same way he fights; intense and impassioned. It makes her feel lightheaded and electric.

His teeth graze her lower lip, her mouth opening in a breathless gasp at the sensation. He takes advantage of the fact to slip his tongue between her lips. And she lets him take and take– Struggling to breathe yet unable to bring herself to stop him, despite knowing that she should.

He breaks the kiss, pressing one last peck against her mouth before taking her appearance in, his gaze on her intense. She glares back at him with equal intensity, her face flushed and her lips red as she struggles to catch her breath.

“What? Did you hate it?” He raises an eyebrow at her. She bites her lower lip and stubbornly continues to glare at him, but her ultimate silence is damning. He laughs in response, maddeningly smug. “Thought so.”

After catching her breath, she hisses, “Fuck you.”

“I wish you would,” he snickers.

And she can't stand it – can't stand him and the terrible way he gets her worked up. So in response, she leans forward, kissing him just as forcefully and biting down on his lip. Hard. She licks away the coppery taste of blood and feels him moan against her mouth. He probably liked that, the crazy bastard.

He shifts his hold on her wrists so he grips them with only one hand. With his now free hand, he grabs her by the waist, pulling her flush against him and firmly entrapping her body between his own and the container behind her. The movement presses his thigh against her center, and her breath catches at the friction, unconsciously tightening her thighs around his.

Curiously, he moves his leg, rubbing it against her center. A stifled gasp escapes her lips before she clenches her jaw, refusing to let out any sounds of pleasure despite the revealing way her hips buck back against his firm thigh.

He lays kisses across her jawline, working his way across until he gently tugs her earlobe between his teeth. "If you like it, just let me hear you," he whispers.

"I'd rather die of a shimmer overdose." It doesn't come out vehement as she'd like it to, her voice much too breathy for that.

He laughs at her response. "That so? We'll see for how long you can say that."

His hand slides up her back, moving to her neck so he can undo her choker. He uses the accessory to tie her wrists together before wrapping her arms around his shoulders.

He turns his head to lay kisses upon one of her arms. Working his way across her skin until he reaches the crook of her neck, and he begins to lay kisses across the sensitive skin there; initially light, butterfly kisses before he firmly sucks at the skin, surely leaving behind marks for all to see.

Simultaneously, his hands trail over her arms and down her body until he reaches the small of her back. He uses one hand to grip her waist, keeping her body firmly pressed against his. The other trails across the exposed skin of her back, enjoying the feel of her shivering against him when he trails his fingers down her spine.

He continues to slowly grind his thigh against her center, aware of the way her chest shallowly falls and rises against his. Aside from the sound of her rapid breathing, however, she's determined to remain quiet, her jaw clenched and her cheeks flushed from the effort.

Satisfied with the angry, red marks he's lavished her neck with, Ekko looks back up at her. Despite her obvious arousal, her glare is as heated as her cheeks. He chuckles and pushes his thigh firmly against her. A sound gets caught in her throat from the stimulation, but her lips remain tightly pressed together.

"You're so cute, Pow-Pow," he kisses her cheek, "but now I really want to hear you."

He trails his hand down her backside, giving her ass a proprietary squeeze. The touch forces Powder to stifle a gasp, embarrassed at the way she feels heat pool in her lower stomach. He moves his hand further down, firmly gripping her upper thigh and slinging it over his hip bone, before leaning back in to kiss her.

In startling contrast to his previous kiss, his lips move against hers slowly and softly. When he breaks the kiss, he leans his forehead against hers, maintaining eye contact as he languidly rolls his hips against her.

And she's not sure what exactly it is – whether it's the heated way he looks at her, the startling gentleness with which he kissed her, his near-bruising grip on her thigh, or simply the feel of his hardness pressing against her sensitive center – but she breaks, a breathy cry escaping her lips before she can suppress it.

His mouth slowly rises in a feline grin. "Good girl, there you go," he praises before, pressing his mouth against hers once again.

He kisses her fervently this time, every brush of his lips against hers turning her on. She’s powerless to resist the way he excites her, the steady roll of his hips against hers pulling cries of pleasure from her. Though muffled by his lips against her, she knows Ekko is aware of it from the way he smirks against her mouth.

He slips his tongue between her lips while his hips maintain a steady, relentless rhythm against hers. Powder feels like she can't breathe. Her standing leg strains with an effort to keep her body upright and her arms are unbearably sore.

But it feels so good

And it infuriates her.

She uses her limited mobility to slip her fingers down the collar of his shirt and rake her nails down his back. She feels him groan against her mouth, his hips momentarily stuttering. He breaks the kiss and looks at her, his eyes wild and his pupils dilated.

"Playing dirty?" He grins. The hand on her waist snakes down to her trembling thigh and he grabs onto it, hoisting her off the ground and wrapping both her legs around his hips. "I like it when you're mean."

She gasps in surprise at the sudden movement, legs instinctively tightening around him as she's unable to support herself with her hands tied up.

Ekko places one hand on her ass to carry her, the other supporting her back as he moves away from the container and sits down on a nearby crate, comfortably leaning back against the wall while Powder is left with no choice but to straddle him in this position. He pushes her firmly down against his erection, the friction making them both moan. He kisses his way up her neck, biting down on the angry, sensitive skin and leaving more marks there.

"I hate you," she gasps, and perhaps she only says it to compensate for the way she can steadily feel herself lose control.

His head shoots back up, expression uncharacteristically serious as he asks, "Do you really?"

She frowns, her heart painfully clenching at the sudden vulnerability he exposes to her. She leans forward and presses their lips together. If only so she doesn't have to see him look at her like that anymore because–

Because she can't stand it. Because it hurts. Because he used to be her best friend and now he couldn't be further from the opposite. And because her heart is a treacherous thing that doesn't hate Ekko at all, even though everything would be so much easier if she did.

And thinking about it makes it worse, but she wants him. Desperately. She wishes she didn't, but it's out of her control. And she hates herself for it – hates that she can't control her own feelings. But she's exhausted from fighting it, so she kisses him over and over until she feels dizzy with want. She grinds down on his lap, blindly chasing the pleasurable friction of his hardness pressed against her.

Ekko breaks the kiss, their mouths still so close together that she can feel his lips brush against hers when he says, "Say you don't hate me."

“Untie me,” she responds instead, still moving against him.

His brows knit together and he gives her one firm kiss, before separating their mouths again. “Don’t play with me, Pow.”

She whines, placing butterfly kisses all over his jaw before whispering, “Please?” punctuating the plea with a singular sharp roll of her hips.

“Fuck,” he groans.

He places his hands on her hips to still her movements and tilts his head back to look at her, searching her face. She’s not entirely sure what he’s looking for, but eventually, he reaches for her arms, pulling them off his shoulders so he can properly untie the choker.

For a moment they remain motionless. Powder unconsciously rubs her sore wrists before he grasps them again, his touch much more gentle this time.

“Do you hate me?” His voice is raw and quiet as he asks it.

“Why do you care?” And she intended for it to be a barb, but she can't disguise the way her voice cracks.

His grip tightens around her hips. “Answer the question.” Powder is almost certain it’s supposed to be a demand, yet all she hears is a plea.

She grabs him by the back of his neck, pressing their mouths together and biting down on his lower lip hard enough to break skin again. She breaks the kiss and uses her thumb to wipe at the blood, staining his lips red before she whispers, “Make me.”

A guttural sound gets caught in the back of his throat before he moves one of his hands to her ass, gripping it tightly and rolling her hips against his. She moans at the stimulation, feeling the familiar throb in her core steadily build. She grabs his other hand, moving it away from her hip and guiding up it to firmly cup her breast.

"You're playing dirty," he groans.

And because her lust is making her feel equal parts frenzied and deranged, the corners of her mouth rise as she taunts, "Don't you like it when I do that?"

"Fuck you."

"I know you want to," she responds, eager to use his words against him.

His brows furrow in frustration and he smacks her ass in petty revenge. She gasps, embarrassed at the way she feels heat pool in her lower belly at the rough touch.

She cups his jaw and leans in to kiss him. He eagerly kisses her back, using his grip on her ass to roll their hips together.

She swipes her tongue across his lips and Ekko opens his mouth, allowing her tongue in and letting her lead the kiss while he focuses on the friction of their bodies pressed together, his other hand roughly kneading her breast.

He breaks the kiss, nosing her jawline and laying kisses on the skin there. Powder pants above him, holding onto his shoulders for balance while she continues to ride him, her limbs shaking from her building excitement.

"Powder," his voice comes out guttural, making it clear he's just as worked up as she is, "tell me…"

She presses one firm kiss against his mouth, ignoring the way her lips must surely be bruised from it at this point.

She breaks the kiss, panting against his mouth, and frantically shaking her head. "I can't…"

"Can't what?" he urges, his nose brushing against hers.

Rather than responding, she grinds down on him more firmly, focusing on the growing pleasure between her legs. Ekko groans beneath her, bucking up into the gyration of her hips.

She desperately continues grinding down on him, her nails biting into the flesh of his shoulders as she holds onto them for leverage.

Her chest heaves from exertion as she gets closer to the edge. Ekko is no better beneath her, having moved both hands to squeeze her ass and support the roll of her hips against his. His fingers will surely leave bruises with how he tightly grips her. Yet she can't bring herself to be upset about it, her arousal increasing at the thought instead.

Powder takes and takes, working herself into a frenzy on his lap. She can’t help it after holding back for so long. And he lets her, content to watch her move on top of him while he gets closer to the edge himself.

She bites down on her lower lip until she draws blood, desperately trying to muffle her sounds of pleasure. Ekko moves one of his hands to swipe his thumb across her lower lip, releasing it from the grip of her teeth and pressing the digit into her mouth.

Despite her labored breathing, she grips onto his wrist like a lifeline and sucks the digit between her lips, lapping over the pad of his thumb with her tongue. He groans at the sight and demands, “Come for me, Pow.”

It proves to be the final push over the edge she needed. She tenses above him, panting against the digit in her mouth until she stops breathing entirely for a moment, her hips twitching against his. She feels his body stiffen and his hips frantically rise back up against hers, evidently pushed over the edge as well.

She lets go of his wrist and bonelessly collapses against him, still shaking from the aftermath of her climax. Ekko continues to buck his hips against her, still coming down from his own orgasm. She whines at the feeling but makes no move to stop him, allowing him to ride out his high even though she's trembling on top of him.

He stills against her eventually, his breathing as labored as her own. She properly heaves herself upright with both arms, her head clearing now that it's no longer clouded by lust.

Ekko moves his hand up from her ass to the small of her back, rubbing patterns on her spine as he frowns and asks once more, "Are you going to answer my question?"

Her heart stutters at his expression, but now that her head is no longer hazy with desire, Powder knows this can't last. She has a mission to complete regardless of her personal feelings.

She raises her hand to cup his face, tentatively brushing her thumb across his cheekbone before leaning in and kissing him once again.

She kisses him gently this time, almost as if it's an apology, and perhaps it is. Ekko sighs into the kiss, relaxing against her before he feels something sharp pierce his arm and he winces, breaking the kiss and looking down to see a tranquilizer dart in his arm.

His eyes widen in disbelief before he snaps his head back up to face her, his face contorting in anger. "You–"

"Sorry," she starts, her voice weary as she removes herself from his lap despite the obvious way her legs are still shaking, "but I can't let any more shimmer ruin our city."

He tries to stand up and grab her, but his body is too heavy and he falls back down. Whatever she just injected him with works fast. He struggles against it but it's obviously in vain. His body relaxing and his eyes blinking shut even though his mind is still whirling and trying to do the very opposite.

"Goddammit!"

Ekko starts awake at the sound of an angry growl. He sits up straight, his head still spinning and his muscles weak as he tries to recollect his senses.

"You!" Someone stomps in his direction and grabs him by the collar of his shirt. One of Silco's henchmen. Ekko had yet to find it worthwhile to remember any of their names. "What the hell happened here?"

He spares the man a disinterested glance before his eyes dart to his surroundings, taking in the wreckage havoced upon the warehouse. The container is wide open, all the barrels blown to pieces of shrapnel while its shimmery, purple contents ooze all over the ground.

Ekko slaps the hand on his collar away and stands up, wincing at the uncomfortable feeling of dried cum in his underwear– That's right. Powder happened, but he doesn't care to share that information. Not when it'll get back to Silco.

The man's nostrils flare in response to Ekko's nonchalant reaction and he looks ready to start a fight. Instead, he just scowls and says, "Don't think you'll get away with this screw-up just because you're Silco's favorite."

Usually, the term would get on his nerves – Silco's favorite – like he's supposed to be grateful for it. But he's too preoccupied with the thought of Powder, though maybe that's where he went wrong in the first place.

Seeing his lack of reaction, the man scoffs and continues to survey the damage to see if any of the losses can still be salvaged.

Ekko already knows the answer, whistling at the havoc Powder wreaked. She's always had a knack for inventing explosives, so this was no surprise. He feels something in his pocket and curiously pulls it out, realizing it's her choker.

He smirks at the sight of it, running his finger across the fabric. Perhaps he should pay her a visit to return this.
