JULIETTE'S HOUSE
Juliette's POV
What is wrong with me?
I can't sleep, I can't feed, I'm overly emotional about the smallest things, like the other day I saw a baby duck and proceeded to sob my eyes out for the next hour or so. And let's not even mention human food, I fear I will barf just from the thought of it.
At first, I thought maybe the stress from these past few weeks—you know the whole falling in love and getting my heart mercilessly stomped on debacle—was somehow causing me to become ill, but as time goes on and I'm still not feeling any better, I'm beginning to think that's not the case at all.
Which leads me with one question, what could possibly be wrong with me?
Anyways, it's time to get ready for another day of the torture that is high-school.

LANCASTER ACADEMY
As I walk through the hall I keep my head down, in hopes that I won't have to see Cal— Calliope because even after everything my traitorous heart still beats solely for her, and it just hurts to see her once lovesick look replaced with pure disdain.
I really thought we could be a forever thing, I know a vamp and a monster hunter being forever, let alone being together at all, is completely insane, but in my defense when you're in love even the craziest things seem perfectly normal.
And in love I was, but then again how could I have not fallen for her? She's perfect, from her intensity all the way down to her impeccable fashion sense, not to mention her statuesque figure, so again I ask, how could I have not fallen for her?
You know the sad thing is, even knowing how it all ended, I would do it all over again just to be in her orbit, and be loved wholly and completely by her again. But, as we all know, in life there are no do-overs, no rewinding time, so for now I shall simply avoid her as best I can, what with us sharing three classes together, and try to allow my heart to mend itself as best as it can.
Who am I kidding? There will always be a giant Calliope-sized hole left in my heart, so the most I can hope for is to at least be able to look at her without feeling as thought my heart and soul are being torn to pieces.
Suddenly, I feel a sharp pain in my backside, completely tearing me from my thoughts, I sit dazed for a moment trying to figure out what the hell just happened.
After a few moments, I hear an all too familiar voice— Calliope's voice—hiss out a venomous, "Maybe you should watch where you're going", before seeing a slender chocolate-skinned hand extend towards me, in my razzled mind it takes me a moment to accept her hand, after which she practically yanks me up, promptly causing a wave a nausea to hit me like a tsunami.
Knowing I'm two seconds from hurling my guts out, I hurriedly turn towards the nearest bathroom and begin to make a run for it, making sure to turn and apologize to Calliope before hurriedly disappearing into the bathroom, immediately making a mad dash to the nearest stall, where I proceed to expel the entire contents of my stomach into the poor unfortunate toilet bowl.
Thank Lilith they keep these bathrooms clean, or this would most certainly be a disaster situation. Then again, I guess it doesn't matter, seeing as everything in my life is already a disaster....
Once I'm done hurling my guts into the poor toilet, making sure to flush twice, I head to the sink to wash my mouth and hands. Once I feel like I'm as clean as I'm going to get, I sit and look in the mirror for a moment, before suddenly (and unexpectedly might I add) I break down into full-body heart wrenchingly therapeutic sobs.
Wait, why the hell am I crying right now...?
As my impromptu sobs calm, I'm suddenly hit with a thought that turn my blood to pure ice in my veins, am I pregnant...?
I mean all the signs point towards me being with child, the nausea, the mood swings, the aversion to most foods, and now that I think about it my clothes have been feeling a bit tight even though I'm actually eating less than I would normally eat—what with the constant bouts of nausea and my inability to stomach most foods.
Yes, all the signs point to me being pregnant, but there's just one HUGE problem, the only person I've EVER been with is Calliope, and correct me if I'm wrong but I'm 100% sure basic human biology dictates that pregnancy can only—naturally—occur after sex between a man and a women, right....?
But, I guess the keyword is human, something that I most certainly am not. Maybe I should ask my mom, she knows all about how us legacies operate.
*Ring Ring Riiiinnnngggg*
But as of now I am late to physics class, so with one last look into the mirror, I turn and practically teleport to Physics class.

JULIETTE'S HOUSE
Wow!!! What a long day, I wish I could just plop in my bed and sleep for an eternity—or two, but alas I still have to talk to my mom about this whole potential pregnancy situation.
As much as I want to put off this conversation for awhile, or better yet never have it at all, this is something that can't wait.
Either I'm about to find out that I could in fact be pregnant, or I'm about to find out I have some disease that miraculously affects Legacy Vamps, both of which are highly unlikely and undesirable, so here's hoping I'm just stressed from all the happenings of these past few weeks.
I sit on my bed for a few moments, attempting to purge myself of my nerves in preparation for what could very likely be a life changing talk, before quickly realizing there's probably nothing I can do to eliminate my nerves.
So, not wanting to waste any time, I call out for my mom with a shaky voice, knowing she heard me—vamp hearing—I wait while anxiously chewing on my all ready abused bottom lip and picking at my cuticles, before long I hear her light footsteps, which causes me to instantly straighten up and release my poor lip from its unwarranted torture.
