Work Text:

Wille had already decided to talk to Simon, thou Wille wouldn't tell him why this couldn't happen, however sitting here with him, Wille wanted nothing more then to live in this moment.

"About what happened Friday." Simon's voice brought Wille out the moment. Wille could tell that Simon was nervous. "I was, I just wanted to say-"

"I think we should just forget about that. Because I said that I, like I'm not-" The hurt look on Simon's changed Wille's mind, he had to be told, Wille wanted Simon to understand, even if Simon then didn't want anything to do with Wille. "Could we talk in my room?"

Wille could tell that the abrupt change in subject confused Simon. "What?" Wille got up motioning for Simon to fallow.

Once they where in Wille's room and seated, Wille continued. "I...I'm not sure how to-Can I ask...I've heard that. You're gay?"

It was obvious that the question shocked him. "Yes? What are you trying to say." His tone let Wille know, Simon didn't like how that sounded. Wille could feel the panic worsening. "I do...like you, but this can't work. Simon I'm not what you thi-"

"If this is about me being gay and you a prince." Simon was losing his patience.

"Yes-No...It's both but more so that you're-" It was getting harder for Wille to breathe. "Simon, I'mnotaboy." There, it was out there now. It was like one weight has been lifted just for another to replace it.

"C-Could you say that again." Simon was clearly confused. not knowing if he'd heard right.

Wille now much calmer repeated. "I'm not a boy, I...I was born....wrong." Wille was watching Simon for any reaction, good or bad.

"I...Wille? What do you mean by that?" Wille's face must have given away how that sounded, Because before Wille could respond, Simon clarified. "I mean, are you trans? Non binary?" His tone cautious, but respectful.

Wille let out a breath of relief. "I'm trans, I'm a girl." The other weight lifted from Wille, she could finally breath. "And yes, Wille." She answered the unasked question.

Simon took a moment to gather his thought's. "Does anyone else know?"

"Yes, my brother, Erik has known, really as long as I have." Even just the thought of Erik made her smile.

"And-Can I ask, how long you've known?"

"Yes." Wille was more than pleased with the amount of resect Simon showed her. "I've always kind of different than the boy's around me, but about 5-6 years ago, me and Erik sat down, He'd done some research before hand and found anything that reminded him of what I told him I'd been feeling. We went over everything, the only one that fit-That felt right, was trans."

Simon smiled with her at the memory of finding herself for the first time. "Yeah, that probably wouldn't work, a gay boy dating a girl."

Wille frowned. "I'm sorry, that I kissed you, knowing I wasn't what you thought I-"

"No, don't apologize. I know it's scary to tell people these kind of things." Simon rushed to say. "You never know how someone will react."

Wille nodded. "Yeah, can we be friends thou? I lo-enjoy spending time with you." She blushed, ducking her head at the almost slip.

"I like spending time with you too." Simon laughed, reaching over to nudge Wille. "Yes, of course we're friends."
