Chapter Text
Everyday was the same formula. Bandu would wake up no earlier than 10 am, even then it would take an hour for him to actually get up and start being productive. He would instead just scroll through his phones. Once he actually did get up, he would make himself breakfast (or brunch if it was past noon) and then just did what he felt like. Streaming, making videos, scrolling through his phones some more, and sometimes even going out and hanging out with what few friends he has.
When Expunged would get home from managing the minions and guarding the 3D world, they'd only have dull small talk, usually a "how was your day" or the likes. It always felt hollow, and Expunged was always the one to end the conversation, usually just walking away or stating she was busy and for Bandu to leave her alone. It's been like this for years. Just the constant distance. Every birthday, dull. Every holiday, dull. Everyday, dull. He had attempted so many times to have some kind of relationship with his sibling, his only existing family, and yet he was always just pushed away. He felt like he was freezing in the constant cold shoulder.
It didn't make sense. He didn't understand. He wanted to understand. But he just couldn't. Expunged had never told him why they neglected to even acknowledge him at times. It was like Bandu was just… there. Some background prop. He hated it. He wanted to know what he did wrong. To make it up to her, to try and make her like him, for her to treat him like what he was. Her brother. And not some random person that Expunged knew.
Then that Christmas party Bandu dragged Expunged to… where they met Decimated Dave.
These feelings grew immensely. Expunged would frequently go out to meet this new 'friend' of hers. Bandu couldn't help but feel jealous. What does Decimated have that Bandu doesn't? What about Decimated made Expunged want to spend time with him so much? Bandu envied Decimated. He hadn't even really met him until the rap battle between that blue-haired singer and his girlfriend, where he interrupted mid-song to have his turn with the singer.
It got even worse when Expunged told Bandu that Deci would be coming over frequently from now on, since her and Deci had started dating. Bandu's jealousy was at its peak. He started having outbursts, asking why Expunged always ignored him, in favor of Deci. She'd known Bandu longer than anyone. They've always been at each others sides yet he meant nothing to her. This made the rift between the two siblings wider. He knew he was making Expunged hate him, which only made him feel more frustrated. Deci seemed to feel sorry for Bandu, but Bandu didn't care, he didn't need his pity. Deci wasn't even the main problem. Expunged was.
All he wanted was just to know why.
Why did his sibling hate him so much?
