Chapter Text
Rick walked away from the cabin where Carl had taken his own life after getting bitten and wished his heart could stop beating as well. Felt hot tears rolling down his cheeks. It was pointless to keep breathing when his boy wouldn't be there.
Didn't even know where he was going as he walked off to the forest unaware that someone was following him. Rick sighed to himself as he felt miserable. Was about to start crying again when he got attacked from the back.
"Agh" Rick struggled as whoever it was they were putting pressure on his throat.
"Well well," he heard a familiar voice "the mightly Rick Grimes. Told ya I'd find you"
Rick froze. Negan had found him just after he'd lost his son.
"Where are you going all alone, Ricky?" Negan asked as his hot enemy kept struggling.
"None of your business!" Rick said aggressively and tried to keep himself as calm as possible.
Negan grabbed his wrists as Rick kept fighting it and managed to tie his hands before he could escape.
"No" Rick struggled some more "let me go!"
"This is over" Negan answered as their eyes met. "Your community is gonna surrender and you'll live the rest of your days locked up in a cold dark cell"
Rick teared up and Negan felt a pang of guilt despite wishing he didn't.
"Don't be like that. Should have known that you would be defeated and not go against me in the first place. I'm not gonna kill you. Might make you my husband if you are well behaved" Negan said as he caressed Rick's cheek gently.
Rick lowered his eyes. Should say that his son had just died but didn't know if there was even a point. Negan didn't care about anything else but capturing him. Maybe he deserved to become a prisoner for failing his son.
Opted to stay silent and Negan took it as a sign of surrender.
"Come on, let's take you to your new home" Negan added as his prisoner stayed silent.
Took hold of his arm as some of his men showed up. They had stopped due to a car problem but it had been fixed during his small walk. Would have never thought that he'd be capturing Rick though in the middle of nowhere.
Would probably need some time to realize what he'd done but then he had plans for Rick and his future as a prisoner. 𝙃𝙞𝙨 prisoner.
