First Last Kiss

Summary:

“Maybe we can pretend that we’re fucking or something. Maybe that way he would realize that he doesn’t want to lose me and finally steal me away from you.”
“A stupid idea, as expected. How are we going to pretend that we’re having sex?”
“Just jump on the bed and moan like a porn star or something.”

Beomgyu came to his ex-boyfriend's bachelor’s party with the sole intention to stop the wedding and get his heart back. It would’ve been so simple.

There was only one problem: before the party even started, Beomgyu found himself engaged to Choi Soobin.

Notes:

Work Text:

Beomgyu should’ve thought it through when he decided to drive an hour away for his best friend’s bachelor party.

Best friend. Childhood friend. Ex. Doesn’t matter.

The only thing mattered was that Beomgyu was still in love with him, and he only had two days left to stop the wedding from happening, or he would regret it for the rest of his life.

“You didn’t answer his texts for a month, and now you’re trying to convince him that you’re still in love with him? Sounds like a hopeless case.”

Another regret was having this menace of a friend to drive him. It’s as if Choi Soobin had not spent an hour lecturing him about this back when he asked the guy to drive him, and now he had to get on his nerves. Beomgyu already had his heart pounding madly in his chest at the thought of what he was about to say, he didn’t need more useless commentaries from this guy.

“In my defense, if he had started by telling me that he’s getting married on his first text, I would’ve replied right away,” he sulked, folding his arms across his chest and sinking deeper into the seat.

It was only when they stopped at the location pinpointed by the map that Soobin finally spoke again.

“Just, promise me,” he finally said with a sigh, turning his gaze back towards Beomgyu. “Don’t do anything stupid.”

“When did I ever?” Beomgyu faked a gasp, holding onto his chest dramatically.

The elder rolled his eyes, but finally unbuckled his seatbelt to face him fully now, grasping at his shoulders to make Beomgyu look at him. “Okay, here’s what you’re going to do.”

“Yeah?”

“You’re going to walk in there and enjoy these two days of luxury bachelor’s party trip or whatever, then you’re going to find the time to talk to Yeonjun alone and tell him how you’re feeling.”

“Okay…” he answered more hesitantly this time, shrinking under Soobin’s long, hard stare. “Fine! I’ll do it.”

“He will dismiss you, but you will be okay.”

“It’s not okay! Besides, you don’t know yet if he’s going to turn me down? He was head over heels for me.”

Soobin rolled his eyes, ignoring him. “After that, you can call me. I’ll come pick you up and we can go get your favorite ice cream or something.”

“I’m actually offended!” Beomgyu grabbed him by the front of his shirt and shook him. “You don’t think I’m not desirable? He wouldn’t want me anymore when I’m this hot?”

“He’s literally getting married next week.”

“And? I still have two days to change his mind,” he said, tipping his chin up in a challenging manner. “I can even start by telling him that I still want him. Cut to the chase! You think I won’t dare to do that?”

“You think you would?”

“Damn right, I should do that right now,” he looked at Soobin right in the eye, unrelenting under the other’s doubtful gaze, until Soobin’s hand shot up to grab his face. His fingers were pressed onto Beomgyu’s cheeks, as a corner of his lips quirked up into a tiny smirk.

“Really? You will do it, first thing once you see Choi Yeonjun?”

“Y-yes,” he said, mentally slapping himself for feeling nervous under this rude treatment.

He also tried ignoring the way his heart had dropped into his stomach, melting away the bold and confident look he was trying to cosplay. Choi Soobin had no business looking at him like this. He was always weak when people he dated handled him like this when he was being a brat just a little too much, but he couldn’t afford thinking about his best friend like that.

Why would he think about this loser in that way?

“Okay, deal. Go for it,” Soobin said, answering his confusion by tilting his head so Beomgyu was facing the front window of the car. This way, he could see Yeonjun, in person, waving at them from in front of the beach house.

Beomgyu shook his face out of Soobin’s grip, giving him a scandalized look. “What the hell?”

“You said you’d do it now, right? Go. I’ll wait here to make sure of it.”

After he said that, Soobin turned his whole body to face the front again, sinking into his seat to place himself in a more comfortable position, even going so far as reclining his seat. Beomgyu stayed on his seat for a few seconds longer, until the fire of challenge got the better of him. He landed a smack to Soobin’s chest just before he hopped off the car.

“Just you see! I’ll do it and come back here to rub it all over your face!” he yelled, slamming the door close right as Soobin stuck his tongue out at him. Looking at his stupid face just irritated him further. He should’ve taken the train.

He carried the fire in his steps as he walked towards Yeonjun who stood there smiling at him, unsuspecting. He was pulled into a hug when he got close enough, one that was long enough to make his heart beat madly in his chest.

“Beoms! It’s been so long. God! Does it take a wedding invitation to make you reply to my texts?” he asked, fake sulking like how he always did it when he got ignored for too long. It’s adorable.

“You should’ve told me earlier, hyung. I’m still hurt.”

“Not my fault you’ve been too busy to meet up with me,” Yeonjun said, ruffling his hair fondly. “But I’m really happy that you’re here.”

That’s what Yeonjun does, making your heart flutter with the simplest words and gestures. Beomgyu tried not to stare too much at the kitten smile drawn upon the elder’s lips.

And then he remembered the deal.

Making a quick glance to the car, he saw Soobin still seated casually on the driver seat, with his arms folded behind his head and a smug smile plastered over his lips while watching the pair. If he initially wanted to confess to Yeonjun for closure, now he wanted to do it just to spite Choi Soobin and his smug ass.

With a newfound determination, he turned back to face Yeonjun, probably coming out too strong that the elder was taken aback when he stepped closer.

“Hyung, I have something to tell you.”

Yeonjun blinked, then smiled at him. “Yeah? If you’re saying it like this, I’m getting a little nervous.”

He watched as Yeonjun’s hand came up to rub at the back of his neck. His little nervous gesture that Beomgyu used to adore. Back then he would take Yeonjun’s hand away just so he could kiss his nape with an excuse to ‘ease his nerves’. But something else stole his attention this time.

There, under the glinting light of the porch, was the silver band perched around Yeonjun’s ring finger. His engagement ring. Yeonjun was going to be married with someone else… Choi Yeonjun who promised to marry him when he was a kid. Choi Yeonjun who took his first kiss, then all his other firsts afterwards, and told him that they were just the first one out of forevers.

“I…” he started, the words heavy on his tongue. “I’m…”

“Yeah?”

“I got engaged too! Recently,” he blurted out, and once he said it, he couldn’t stop talking anymore. “I actually didn’t want to tell you this now and steal the spotlight even for a minute or something, but I really want you to be the first one to know.”

“Oh… Beoms. First of all, I’m sorry that I didn't tell you first about–”

“No! That was not my intention, I’m just… happy, for you,” he tried to keep a smile on his face, while mentally cursing himself to hell and back because what the hell was he doing now? He was supposed to confess and now he was telling Yeonjun that he’s taken instead? That beat the whole purpose of making this whole trip.

“I would actually make a problem if he’s an asshole so let me see him first! Who is he? Is it the guy who drove you here?” Yeonjun grasped onto Beomgyu’s shoulders, shaking him lightly out of excitement before he started craning his neck to catch a glimpse.

“Yeah, but he’s leaving soon! I just need to grab my bag and–”

“Let me say hello first!”

Before he could counter the bad bad idea, Yeonjun had already bounced his way towards the car, not flinching when Beomgyu started yelling and grabbing at his hand. “Aw, don’t be shy! I swear I won’t judge him, whoever he is!”

“Hyung! He has this meeting to attend, I don’t think we should hold him back any longer!”

“Is that Soobin?” Crap. Nice one Beomgyu. “Soobinie, that dude from our Philosophy class who always pulled your ponytail and bickered with you?”

“Haha, yes, Soobinie is leaving.”

But there was no holding Yeonjun back once he had his mind set on something, and this time Beomgyu had to watch in despair as the hyung made a little run for the rest of the way towards the car. He stopped right before the driver’s seat’s window, knocking at the glass.

“Hey, Soobinie! Can you come out for a bit?” Yeonjun said, while Beomgyu stood there praying for whatever gods out there to manifest a hole beneath him so he could launch himself under the ground and bury himself forever. He cursed Choi Yeonjun for being such a social butterfly with good memories because why would he remember someone insignificant from uni?

Soobin looked confused when he stepped out of a car, blinking a few times when he got pulled into a hug. Beomgyu threw him an awkward smile when the guy looked his way, only to cover his face with a hand soon after so he wouldn’t have to witness the disaster unfold before his own two eyes.

“Congratulations! I don’t have to worry if it’s you!” Yeonjun was smiling brightly when he pulled away, grabbing at Soobin’s hand to shake it vigorously. “Nobody would have predicted this since you two always brawled in the hallways back then, but here you are! Engaged!”

“Engaged?” Soobin’s eyes widened, but didn’t reject the handshake, or wipe away the smile that he accidentally mirrored from Yeonjun’s face. “Beomgyu told you that?”

“Yeah? Was that supposed to be a secret?” Yeonjun had finally come off his excitement at the realization. He gasped, slapping a hand over his mouth.

This was it. The timing that Beomgyu needed to insert himself back and do something even more stupid. Like waltzing over to Soobin’s side and hugging his arm. “Yeah, Soobin here is a little shy, so we haven’t told anyone yet. Like I said, you’re really the first one, hyung.”

As he said that, he rested his head on top of Soobin’s shoulder. Cheek pressing onto it while his eyes peered up. As Soobin caught his gaze, he sent as many SOS and alerts through his glare towards the elder. He saw Soobin’s eyes rounded up briefly, just before they both looked at Yeonjun again.

“Right! Engaged, haha,” Soobin laughed just as awkwardly. Beomgyu wanted to die right there.

“Aw, it’s a shame that you have to go soon, I would love to have you around so we can catch up on stuff? It’s been a while.”

“I have to go soon?” He threw a questioning look at Beomgyu.

“You have that important meeting with the client, right, baby ?”

There was a short moment of triumph when he saw the hint of cringe in Soobin’s face upon hearing the pet name. But the guy seemed to be good at this, even better than him, and Beomgyu was not even allowed to feel a moment of horror when Soobin took his arm out of Beomgyu’s grasp to wrap it around his waist instead.

“Oh right, but I dropped everything to make sure that this idiot arrived here safely,” Soobin drew him closer by the hold, sweetness dripping from his voice. Beomgyu would have gagged right there if only it was not for the kiss placed atop of his head that made his whole body freeze. “What would he do without me?”

Yeonjun eyed them in awe. “Wow… judging from what kind of shit Beomgyu used to tell me about you, I didn’t think you’d be this sweet, Soobinie! But since you’re free, do you want to join the weekend trip?”

“What?!” Beomgyu almost choked, swatting at the air in obvious panic. “Nooo, he didn’t even pack. Besides, you’re also busy on the weekend, right?”

“But he drove you here, so he must not be so busy this weekend after all,” Yeonjun tried reasoning, folding his arms across his chest.

“He’s only here because he wanted to… fuck… me… earlier,” he trailed off, realizing just how stupid he was for always saying the first thing that popped out in his head. It dawned on him the moment he saw Yeonjun’s eyes widened in both amusement and incredulity. Soobin snorted next to him, totally an offer of emotional support.

As he was already beating himself up over his lie, he felt Soobin’s hand dropping to grope his ass, which made him jump lightly. “Yeah, I wanted to say goodbye since he’d be staying over. But I won’t say no to free food.”

Yeonjun perked up at that. “Great! You can stay for dinner, then. Come in, you guys are just in time.”

As Yeonjun turned around to walk ahead of them, Beomgyu started slapping at Soobin’s arm, not dropping the sweet smile on his face as he looked up at the elder. “What are you doing, dumbass?”

“What are you doing? Using me as your fake fiance? You’re so not going to get away with it, darling,” Soobin returned his smile with an equally sweet one, just before his face soured and he poked Beomgyu in the forehead with a finger. “So I better get something out of this, even if it’s just free food. Grab your bag.”

As the key was handed to him, Beomgyu had to watch as the menace of a best friend he had made a jog towards the house, while he was left alone outside regretting all the life decisions he had ever made.

What had he done?

Not only did he have a mission to get his ex back, now he had to be trapped with the devil himself through the long-awaited weekend, being engaged to him. And worse, he only had himself to blame.

//

“When Yeonjun hyung told me that you’re bringing your fiance, I didn’t think it’d be him.”

Beomgyu had learnt about consequences over the quarter century of his life, in the hard way sometimes. But he didn’t expect this one to kick him back in the ass so quickly.

When he made up that lie to Yeonjun, he didn’t expect it to be widespread so quickly to the other people. Yeonjun certainly had no qualms about sharing his spotlight for the night, because every time someone talked to Beomgyu, it always started with a congratulations! No how are yous or i miss yous.

His identity was reduced from being the fun party goer into a taken man, and the menace of a guest he brought along with him didn’t even seem to mind.

“Hi, Taehyunie! Remember me?” Soobin was sticking by his side like glue, arm never leaving its hold around the back of Beomgyu’s waist.

It was more annoying that he only did this whenever someone started talking to Beomgyu, as if he was on a mission to ruin the party for him just because his name was borrowed. If anyone was going to hit on him, the thought must be gone now that they saw this dude with a ridiculously possessive hold around him. Even a real boyfriend does not behave this way.

“Yeah, that’s why it’s even more surprising, but then you two always got along so well,” Taehyun finally nodded in resolution, sipping his drink.

Beomgyu made a choking noise. “Got along? Us?”

“Being so noisy down the hallway. It’s always the loud pair that ends up being the obnoxious… gross one,” as he said that, his eyes traveled down to Beomgyu’s waist, where Soobin’s hand had slipped under his shirt. The warm contact of Soobin’s hand on his bare skin made him jump a little, but he instantly melted against the other when he got pulled closer.

“It’s worth it chasing him down for years,” Soobin said with a small grin on his face, Beomgyu made it in time to avert his gaze when the male turned his head to press a kiss to his cheek. “Now he’s not going anywhere.”

That sounded like a threat. Soobin was really on a mission tonight.

“Uh… have fun you guys.”

Poor Taehyun, having to witness that. The younger slipped away quickly before the two could say anything else, not like Beomgyu wanted to keep him any longer. He had been holding his breath ever since Soobin’s hand slipped under his shirt and he really did not want to die there.

“Your hand is on my chest.”

“And?” Soobin looked down, as if he just realized that his hand had gotten a lot deeper. He even made another curious pat. The shirt bulged under the movement of his hand. “You have no tits.”

Beomgyu smacked him and left to get a drink.

As the night grew deeper, Beomgyu started wondering when the shy, quiet, sweet Choi Soobin turned into this obnoxious flirt he brought to the party. He had no shame talking to the other guys invited by Yeonjun, and he definitely had zero shame announcing to everyone that they were engaged.

“Aren’t you having too much fun?” Beomgyu called him out at one point, grasping at Soobin’s hand that was casually resting atop his thigh now that they were seated on a sofa.

“Well maybe you should’ve thought it through before using me? You could’ve mentioned any random names but nooo, your genius idea just had to put us in this situation.”

Fuck him for being right.

“You don’t have to touch me all the time, though? Go have fun somewhere?” he squeezed at Soobin’s hand as it covered more of his thigh.

He could feel the fingertips pressing into the inside of his thigh, and god, it shouldn’t be affecting him this much. It’s just a hand, which looked annoyingly big under his own, grasping at his thigh. It definitely should not affect him this much to the point of stirring something in his guts. It was just Choi Soobin, after all.

“I literally don’t know anyone. Besides, aren’t I doing you a favor here?”

“How is this a favor?” he deadpanned.

“This way you can see Yeonjun hyung’s reactions. See if he’s jealous or something. If he looks bothered seeing me all over you, that could be your green light to wish for something more.”

At the reminder of the reason they were here, Beomgyu threw his glance across the room, just in time to catch Yeonjun’s eyes. The party host immediately waved his hand at him. He looked too happy, but he was also staring at Beomgyu, so that was something.

“Oh my god, I didn’t know your small brain could think of something this brilliant?”

That easily, Beomgyu found himself digging a deeper grave by allowing Choi Soobin, the other idiot, to put the idea into his head.

The bachelor’s trip was definitely just Yeonjun’s excuse to spend time with his closest friends. He sent random invitations to his university friends and closest friends, casually stating that they could come at any night between Friday or Saturday, and if you wanted, you could stay over both days, too. It’s too much like a college party, aka what Yeonjun thought was the best time of his life.

The beach house would be big enough to host all the pronounced darlings Yeonjun had gathered throughout the years of being a social butterfly. It was not a surprise that there were more familiar faces turning in as the night grew deeper.

It was also not a surprise that Beomgyu was already tipsy before the clock even struck midnight.

“Soobin, if you’re going to pose as my fiance, be useful for once and grab me water. The room is spinning,” he whined, throwing himself across the elder’s lap. He caught a glint of panic crossing the male’s face, and mildly registering him explaining to the dude sitting next to him about how Beomgyu sometimes forget that they’re engaged and how cute he was for that.

“Are you going to be okay if I left you?” Soobin finally had his attention back on him, which shouldn’t have made him perk up like this, but he did, nudging into Soobin’s hand when it rested atop his head.

“Mm. You don’t trust me?”

He narrowed his eyes on the elder. They fell shut briefly when Soobin’s face came closer. A rush of warmth filled him the moment he felt a kiss placed atop his head, almost like they had been doing this every day in their life. Soobin was a natural.

“Stay here. Don’t do anything stupid.”

Before he could yell any more protests, Soobin was already gone, leaving him on the couch with too much warmth trapped in his body. He blamed it on alcohol. The alcohol also made him unable to be a social butterfly today, since he ended up staring at the guy who talked to Soobin for a little too long.

“What? I was not trying to steal your man or anything,” he said defensively.

“I didn’t even say anything!” he retorted just as defensively. “Steal him all you want, I don’t care. Stupid Soobin.”

Annoyed, he stomped his path away from the couch, venturing to other parts of the vast living room where the party was mostly ongoing. He passed Jay, who tried to drag him into another beer pong round, which he waved off since he didn’t feel like engaging in another college party habit. He thought he had left this behind once he graduated, but he could depend on Yeonjun to drag him back to their dark past.

With just a phone call that he picked up half asleep a few nights ago, Beomgyu was launched back to the version of himself from years ago. The reckless college boy who partied every other night.

But that boy? He was loved.

He remembered being loved by Yeonjun, being the one whom Yeonjun would talk about in excitement to his friends. The one who was not allowed to leave his side because someone would always hit on one of them when they were drunk. Now Beomgyu was left with only memories of what he could never have again.

“Beoms!” As if on cue, the hyung’s voice called for him, just before the person himself materialized before him. He got tugged to join another group without much fight. “Play with us?”

“What is this?” he stared suspiciously at the bottle laid on the floor.

“7 minutes in heaven? I got picked and I don’t trust any of these dudes, so I’m picking you.”

“Hey! Rude!” yelled Wooyoung, who apparently was also one of the participants in this stupid game. “I make a good partner in the closet too.”

“Sorry, I only trust Beoms for this!”

“Are we back to university days?” he groaned when he got tugged along, mindlessly accepting the shot glass thrust into his hand. Yeah, this is a level up from the college party with shitty drinks, at least.

“That’s literally the theme of this party. Back to uni days!”

Yeonjun clinked his shot glass lightly against his own before downing his drink. His face scrunched up subtly, then he looked at Beomgyu in anticipation, ready to go.

“Fuck it,” Beomgyu muttered under his breath, tipping his head up to dunk the liquid into his mouth. The bittersweet taste of the alcohol slid down his throat, and this way, he could convince himself that he was intoxicated enough to do stupid things. Soobin wouldn’t have the right to hold it against him.

//

The ‘closet’ was a small bathroom by the kitchen.

It was not like Beomgyu had any problems with being inside an enclosed space, but he suddenly felt claustrophobic when Yeonjun came right behind him and closed the door. After the night of partying and letting loose, he was finally reminded of his initial purpose of coming here.

There would be no point in having this bachelor’s party if the wedding was canceled.

“You’re staying until tomorrow night, right? I planned a brunch tomorrow, and then we have a more formal night party for people who don’t know me from uni,” Yeonjun started talking in excitement, stepping closer as Beomgyu cornered himself by the sink.

He didn’t have much space like this, with the sink digging into the small of his back and Yeonjun invading his space. Strangely enough, he didn’t feel a sense of fight or flight this time unlike when Soobin was all over him. Perhaps he just needed to have a certain alcohol level pumped into his blood.

“Just how many friends do you have?” he groaned, feigning dismay through his complaint.

“Lots! But I just can’t wait for you to meet Kai. He’s going to come for brunch.”

“That beats the purpose of a bachelor’s party.”

“Ehh, it’s whatever. He’s also the groom anyway!”

A stone formed in the pit of Beomgyu’s stomach at the mention of the fiance. Sure, he had heard about the guy that time he called Yeonjun upon receiving his invitation in the mail. He also listened to Yeonjun talk about him for ten minutes, not noticing Beomgyu had gone quiet for so long. Yeonjun used to talk about him like this.

The swirl of emotions that swirled in his guts was sickening. It was sickening, that he ended up being the other person and not the one who caused the stars to glow in Yeonjun’s eyes.

“Didn’t you know him for like 2 weeks?” he snorted, shifting his attention towards the front of Yeonjun’s shirt, where his own fingers were playing with a loose button.

“Two months! But yeah, isn’t that the best thing ever? When you meet a person and somehow you just know that this is someone you want to have for the rest of your life…” he trailed off, smiling to himself, and Beomgyu was trying so hard not to combust from jealousy.

“I’m not sure about that…”

It was too late for him to take back the bitter words that accidentally slipped out his mouth, when he had to watch the smile fade from Yeonjun’s face. His brain spun fast, trying to find an excuse for it, when Yeonjun suddenly grasped onto his shoulders.

“Apologies! I didn’t mean it that way… Of course it’d be different for you and Soobin, everyone has different ways of falling in love, after all,” Beomgyu almost choked at the mention of the guy. He almost forgot about the whole arrangement. “Though I’m a little surprised about you two.”

He arched his brow. “How so?”

“When we used to date, you didn’t really like PDA, and you would sulk if I tried to brag about you openly to my friends. But it seems to be okay with Soobin? I guess it depends on the person, huh.”

“You saw all that?”

“A little hard not to? Also he kept stealing glances at me, like what was his deal? Is it because we were dating when you two first met? But he should have known that we ended in good terms. You dumped me and all.”

Beomgyu grimaced, deciding not to focus on the rest of Yeonjun’s words. With his ability to limit his focus and just extract anything he wanted, Beomgyu came to a conclusion 1. Yeonjun must have looked at their direction pretty often to notice it. But then it also sprung up a question:  what was his issue with Beomgyu looking like he enjoyed the PDA?

A subtle frown could be seen on Yeonjun’s face, along with the pout that formed on his lips for the whole time he was talking. He looked bothered, and it was not Beomgyu’s fault to assume the worst.

Or the best, for his case.

“Anyway, like I said. He kept sticking to you that this is literally the first time I get to talk to you personally today?”

“Hyung, are you jealous?” he blurted out.

The complaints stopped at once, he didn’t even listen to the rest of Yeonjun’s words anymore. The elder was looking at him silently for a moment before he broke into a laugh. “Yah, why would I? It’s not like I demanded you to do it for me back then, right?”

Beomgyu shut his eyes, recalling the times he shied away when Yeonjun put his arm around his waist, or when he intentionally yelled and shifted the attention when Yeonjun went for a kiss in public. Or those times he dropped the hyung’s hand when someone they knew approached them. It’s true that he was not big on physical attention back then, but he would kill to have Yeonjun’s hands on him at the moment.

“Hyung,” he said once he had his eyes back on the other, who looked intrigued at the sudden firm tone. He grasped the front of Yeonjun’s shirt, tugging him closer. “What if I told you that I’ve changed?”

“Huh?”

“What if I—”

"Guys, how long are you gonna stay here?” came a muffled voice from behind the door, along with a set of rapid knocks at the door. Of course it had to be Serim who interrupted them, like he always did even back then.

As the door swung open, Beomgyu loosened his grip on Yeonjun’s shirt, letting him step away, but he turned back to look at him after Serim left, curious.

“What were you saying, Beoms?”

Beomgyu shook his head, smiling at him before he slipped his way out of the bathroom, exaggerating his complaints about how smelly the bathroom was and how seven minutes was so long, when it was not nearly as much time he wanted to spend with the elder.

His boldness had shrunk into nothing after he got scared by the sudden knock. But it would be okay. There was still lots of time left for him to actually think it through and prepare for a better confession instead of when they were trapped in a stinky bathroom. He had to make it special this time.

At least the talk gave him some insights, which might have led to his best idea for the day.

Except, Soobin always ruined things for him. That included this genius plan of his that seemed so smart when he thought about it in the shower.

When the fog from the shower and the latest remnants of alcohol effect dissipated from his brain, he registered the fact that he was being pressed against the wall, with Soobin’s body flush against him. He couldn’t breathe like this. Not because he was being pushed too hard, but it’s because of the realization that Soobin was so big . He towered over Beomgyu, probably covering his whole frame like this. Even the hand that casually rested on the dip of his waist felt so heavy. So warm. It burned through the shirt into his skin.

“His bedroom is right next to this one, right? If you want to make noises, you have to do it here,” Soobin said with a smug edge to his smile that Beomgyu wanted to punch so bad, if only he didn’t have his own hardship at the moment.

Beomgyu wanted to die right there. Especially knowing that this was his idea at first. He could’ve ended the day in the most normal way. But unlike normal people, he had bounced out of the shower and decided to bother Soobin, who was about to fall asleep already.

//

“Hey, I have an idea!”

The elder tore his gaze away from his phone just enough to catch the excited look on his face, then quickly looked away. “I don’t know, Beomgyu. The ideas you had today were all shits.”

“It’s past midnight, so those were yesterday’s ideas you’re talking about,” he deadpanned, but not losing his resolve as he pressed himself closer to Soobin’s side, tugging his arm. “Anyway, I talked to Yeonjun hyung earlier, and I made a breakthrough.”

That seemed to catch Soobin’s interest. He put down his phone and sat down on the bed facing Beomgyu. “So you finally confessed? Are you okay? Do you need a hug?”

“What the fuck, No!” he shoved at Soobin’s chest, frowning for a split moment before he was already smiling again. The excitement from the idea was back as quickly as it left, lighting up his eyes again as he stared at Soobin hopefully. “So, Yeonjun hyung might be jealous that you’re touching me a lot earlier, maybe your stupid plan actually worked.”

“I hope that’s not just your imagination, but how does that concern me?” Soobin lost his interest quickly, about to tuck himself back to bed if only it was not for Beomgyu’s hand tugging him back up.

“Yeonjun hyung’s room is right next door. Maybe we can pretend that we’re fucking or something. Maybe that way he would realize that he doesn’t want to lose me and finally steal me away from you.”

Soobin stared at him for a moment too long that it almost scared him. “A stupid idea, as expected. How are we going to pretend that we’re having sex?”

“Just jump on the bed and moan like a porn star or something.”

That actually made Soobin laugh. The amusement was clear in his face as he got up from the bed, standing by the side of the bed with his arms crossed across his chest. “Do it, then. If it sounds convincing, I will join you,” he said, tipping his chin up in challenge. He looked so annoying this way.

At this point, Beomgyu didn’t even care about the initial purpose anymore. He wanted to do it just to let Soobin know that this plan actually worked, and he let the competitiveness get the better of him, as he got up to stand on the bed.

He threw a glare at Soobin right before he started jumping. The bed was solid, so it only made some bouncy noise when he jumped. Frowning, he went as far as to shake the headboard, thumping it against the wall. He only realized how much of a bad idea it was when he started making noises.

“A-ah? Right there! Soobin-ah… that’s so good,” he gripped onto the headboard, smacking it against the wall once more. He even added a yell at the end, it should’ve been good enough. He watched enough porn to do this right.

The one mistake he made was catching Soobin’s eyes, because as soon as their eyes locked, he collapsed into the bed in bouts of laughter. He mildly registered the sound of Soobin’s laughter too, which made him grab a pillow to smack him.

“You’re not allowed to laugh!”

“How could I not? This shows that you watched more horror movies than porn!” Soobin sounded breathless from laughing, clutching onto his stomach. God, Beomgyu hated him.

“Hey rude!” Beomgyu smacked him once more, stopping his laugh completely as he moved to the edge of the bed to grab onto Soobin’s shirt instead. “You can’t laugh at my attempts if you can’t do any better!”

That was mistake number 2. He should’ve known better than to challenge Choi Soobin and his cocky ass.

//

Because then he got this: Soobin pressing him against the wall, with his thigh slotted between Beomgyu’s legs and his mouth so close to his ear. As if Beomgyu wasn’t already so close to exploding, Soobin just had to inch his face even closer. His plush lips brushing against his earlobe, right before he pressed a kiss below it.

“Beomgyu-ya, you don’t know how long I’ve waited until we’re alone again,” he groaned, his voice deep and almost wanting . Like he was actually in pain from physically restraining himself. “The things I wanted to do to you…”

“Yeah?” he gasped out, biting down a whimper when he felt a gentle bite to his neck. His eyes fluttered close as he tried to calm down his heart beats. “What did you want to do?”

“You,” Soobin’s hand slid down his hip, squeezing at his ass while excusing it as a movement to pull Beomgyu’s hips off the wall.

As his lower body moved forward, Beomgyu looked down just to see that Soobin’s thigh was firmly pressing up between his legs now. He gripped onto the elder’s arms when it moved up, rubbing up against him slowly. The first noise that escaped his mouth was a soft yelp as he felt the heat slowly build up in his groin. It didn’t help that the borrowed shirt Soobin was wearing hugged his frame nicely, when he usually would wear those baggy shirts that made him look like a loser.

This was the first time Beomgyu looked at him through these lenses, and the thought only made him roll his hips forward, grinding down harder onto his thigh as he threw his head back.

It was Soobin’s mouth dragging along the underside of his jawline that ripped out a moan from his mouth. He had accepted the fact that he was humping Soobin’s thigh like a horny teenager, or that he was actually making these noises instead of faking them like what they were supposed to do.

“Soobin,” he called out, and the elder instantly stopped. It made Beomgyu want to scream, his legs shaking as he focused his gaze at Soobin.

“Too much?”

He shook his head, whining when he felt the pressure disappear from between his legs. As he looked at Soobin’s face, there was only concern painted in his visage. He looked like he would drop everything as soon as Beomgyu wanted it. And as much as it made him feel safe, he really needed Soobin to not stop.

“Want more,” he sounded so desperate, it hurt. “You have to do better than this to make me loud.”

Soobin laughed. “First of all, you’re kinda loud already. And I thought you said you could actually fake it without help?”

There was a time and date for challenge and bets, and usually, Beomgyu would’ve taken it instantly. But he didn’t need to go through all that, not when he had too much heat trapped in his guts, and the person who could help with that was so so close, yet he was not doing anything. This should be a crime.

So, Beomgyu grabbed the front of Soobin’s shirt and tugged him closer.

“Do something, Soobin hyung. You always know how to touch me, right? Please make me scream,” he dropped his pride to plead at the elder, watching as Soobin’s eyes darkened, fixed onto him. It only excited him more, pushing him to be bold as he took Soobin’s hand and guided it down between his legs.

“You don’t know what you’re asking for…” Soobin exhaled, yet his hand was obliged to the new position, flattened against the tent in his pants that had been firming up.

“I know, actually,” Beomgyu said

He, in fact, did not know what he was signing up for, because he let out a scream as he was suddenly lifted up. His head knocked against the wall, but he had a hunch that it was not the reason his head was spinning.

It was because of this: the sight of his legs caging Soobin’s waist. He was wearing a pair of shorts, and the fabric hiked up his thighs with how Soobin was pressing between them. He didn’t even want to mention how he almost automatically wrapped his legs around him, or the presence of Soobin’s veiny hands gripping his bare thighs - which looked even hotter than when the guy was groping him earlier.

It was also from the way Soobin started grinding against him and mouthing at his throat and God . Was that his cock he felt under the layers of their pants? He could feel it firming up against him, even more with every roll of his hips. And at a particular snap of his hips forward, Beomgyu let out a strangled moan into the room.

His eyes widened at the realization, though it was getting hard to think with what’s going on between his legs because. What the fuck . He had always said that Soobin was big, but he didn’t know that he was packing down there too. He was almost sure he could feel it pulsing against him.

“You like it that much?” came Soobin’s voice, coated by mirth. He had the cocky smile on his face when Beomgyu looked at him again, which Beomgyu pawed at, covering the elder’s face with his palm.

Apparently, he had accidentally voiced out about the huge part. His brain-to-mouth filter never failed to shame him even today.

“N-no? Shut the fuck up,” he hissed.

Laughing, Soobin grabbed Beomgyu’s hand that was still laid flat on his face. Beomgyu hadn’t registered it until he noticed that it was being held above his head. Their fingers locked together. With Soobin not supporting his weight anymore, he felt the pressure grow when the male started grinding against him again.

“I’m not the noisy one, Beomie,” his voice was saccharine sweet when he spoke. Soobin was so close, Beomgyu could feel his breath on his cheek, could see his smug smile even when he had his eyes closed. “You need to be a little louder if you want to be heard, though. Is this not enough for you? Do you need to be fucked?”

“What? Are you crazy?!”

“Am I, though?”

The grip on his wrist loosened, and the next thing he knew, Soobin’s hands had moved down to grab his hips.

Soobin shifted their positions so that Beomgyu was hoisted higher against the wall, and this way, he could feel Soobin’s cock pressing against his ass. He could feel the tension under Soobin’s arms that were holding him up, and fuck, how did this guy get so strong when he never worked out?

This was foul.

He could handle the friction of his own cock rubbing against the other’s abdomen, but Soobin was moving as if he was fucking into him, and he wished he could feel it in his guts, not just against his ass and with the layers of fabrics in between. He could almost imagine how it would feel inside him; how it would stretch him out and rub against his insides and make him see stars.

It felt even hotter when he realized that he was not being hoisted against the wall anymore, but fully held by Soobin, who looked almost like he was using Beomgyu for his own pleasure. He could hear his tiny groans and deep breaths exhaled.

Beomgyu melted against him, hugging around his shoulders, with his cheek pressed against the side of his head. He bit down on Soobin’s earlobe, whimpering when he felt a squeeze on his ass.

When he cummed, his deep moan went straight into Soobin’s ear. He could feel his pants soaked with his own release, probably as far as staining the front of the other’s shirt too. He tensed for a moment as he shuddered through it, feeling his ass clenching around nothing. God, he wished Soobin had just taken off his clothes and put his cock in him earlier. It would’ve felt even better.

He hated himself more for thinking about this guy in that way.

It was only when he was laid down on the bed that it hit him.

He came to this party with the sole reason to change Yeonjun’s mind, claiming that he was still in love with the hyung, and now he just had a bone-rattling orgasm that was caused by this guy he claimed as his fiance. It was the moment of clarity that had him wondering if this was even a good idea at all; if Yeonjun would even care if he had heard them going at it.

But most importantly, they were supposed to be faking it, whether it was the affectionate touches or the lewd noises. How did he end up cumming because of a fucking Choi Soobin?

And the worst of all, he dared to wish for more?

Post-orgasm bliss always clears your mind and makes you think deeper. Maybe Beomgyu should do this more often so he could finally make good decisions about his life.

Although the moment of clarity quickly went away as the exhaustion settled again, he started yelling for Soobin, who had disappeared to god knows where. Luckily he showed up quickly, shirtless.

“Why are you naked?” he deadpanned, as if he was not still sprawled in bed, in his spoiled shorts. He felt gross, yet his bones still felt too much like jellies for him to move.

“I got your cum on my shirt?”

“You didn’t seem to mind.”

“I don’t.”

He wasn’t given even a minute to process that, before Soobin had tugged on his pants as soon as he got closer to him. Given his limp state on the bed, Beomgyu didn’t question it much, lifting his hips to let the other strip him off his pants. It’s just Soobin, after all. What could go wrong?

What went wrong was that Soobin was being too quiet, unlike how he would run his mouth unnecessarily any other day. When Beomgyu looked up at him again, he found the male staring at him, and that made him feel weirdly vulnerable, that he had to close his legs.

He felt the familiar kind of heat brewing in his guts again under Soobin’s stare. It’s weird. Soobin shouldn’t have had this power over him. It’s just Soobin.

“Did you cum?” he asked mindlessly.

“Yeah, in the bathroom.”

Beomgyu snorted at the thought. So that’s where he disappeared to.

“You could’ve just cum inside me.”

That was bold, even for him.

He should blame this on his post-orgasm bliss that melted even the insides of his brain, that he couldn’t think clearly. But it was too late, since he could already see the familiar glint in Soobin’s eyes, and then he felt it transfer back to him when Soobin’s hands landed on his knees again.

“Don’t ask for stupid things when you know you can’t handle that,” Soobin said with a scoff. “You looked so close to passing out earlier when you cum in your pants like some teenager.”

That made him break into laughter, covering his own face with an arm. “Asshole.”

A soft laugh sounded from the elder. Soobin’s presence was warm and comforting, and Beomgyu would’ve been lulled into sleep, if only it was not for the hands spreading his knees apart, and a certain warmth enveloping his cock that jolted him back to life.

When he looked down, Soobin was lapping at his cock. Beomgyu almost passed out from the lewd sight, if only it was not for the jolt of pleasure shooting up his system that brought him awake so quickly, he got a whiplash.

“Hyung? What the hell?” he pushed himself up to sit, reaching out for the other.

“Just lay down and relax, Beomie. I’m cleaning you up.”

As if he could do that.

Beomgyu did comply and lie back down when Soobin took his cock into his mouth. His fingers ran through the elder’s hair, and he almost choked on his own moans when Soobin’s gaze flicked back up to meet his eyes. This, was not something that he had ever fantasized about; to have Soobin looking at him like this from between his legs, with his pretty mouth wrapped around his cock.

Yet it was one that coaxed the loudest noise out of him when he cum into Soobin’s mouth, embarrassingly fast.

His chest was heaving, arched up the bed, and his eyes were wide as he stared at the ceiling. Because. What the fuck.

He didn’t even remember their initial reason for doing this anymore, but at least he was sure that not only Yeonjun, but the whole house would’ve heard him this time.

//

The morning after, Beomgyu slipped out of the bed first, leaving Soobin who was still snoozing shirtless next to him.

It was not a rare occurrence for the two of them to wake up in the same bed after a night of drinking, but waking up after two orgasms caused by the guy himself the previous night? He couldn’t say that this commonly happened.

“You’re finally awake! I thought you’d skip this too,” Yeonjun welcomed him as he went to the kitchen to grab a drink. “The brunch will start in an hour, by the way. Mom said she missed you.”

“I thought it’d be with the dudes as well.”

“Silly. Didn’t I tell you that the brunch is with my family? Kai’s sisters would be here too, why would I let those losers join?”

“Oh,” he hid his smile as he turned around to gulp down his water. It felt good knowing that he was still above everyone else when it came to friends hierarchy.

“And because I’d need your help arranging the food at the table, but I didn’t have the heart to wake you up since you sounded busy last night.”

It took Beomgyu a moment to catch what Yeonjun might refer to. He almost choked on his drink as heat rushed into his face. He certainly did not need to be reminded about the stupid thing he did last night, but hearing it from Yeonjun himself at least confirmed that the plan might not be so stupid after all.

“Did that bother you?” he turned around to face the elder again, eyeing every change in his expression.

“I guess that’s a part of the college party theme too, so I can’t even be mad about it,” he laughed.

That’s when Beomgyu stepped closer, getting all up in Yeonjun’s space while the hyung was busy setting up some beef slices on the plate. He had his chin resting on the other’s shoulder, giving him no choice but to give him attention at last.

“Are you bothered about it though?”

Yeonjun gave him a long, hard look. It was a nerve wracking moment that made Beomgyu’s heart thump in his chest. He held his breath when Yeonjun’s lips parted to answer,

only for them to be interrupted by a bright presence entering the kitchen.

“Junie hyung! I got the duck, but the catering company said something about mixing up some orders? I think it’s the dessert!”

The loud voice blaring through the kitchen had Beomgyu pulling away at once, clutching the bottle of water onto his chest. Upon taking a first look at the tall guy, he realized that he might be a little too sleepy because how the hell could a guy look like the embodiment of sunshine itself, he felt like he needed sunglasses to be around the guy.

“Ah! I hope they remember the peanut free note. Someone got allergies… wow, this is so stressful,” he ran his fingers through his hair, pacing in a small circle for a moment until he snapped out of it and looked at the two again. “Oh right, Kai, this is Beomgyu. And Gyu, please don’t tell him silly stuff about me while I sort this out.”

Yeonjun left with a last warning look to Beomgyu and a kiss to Kai’s cheek, leaving the two standing awkwardly in the middle of the kitchen.

He should’ve guessed that this was the guy. From the way Yeonjun talked about him last time, Kai was described as someone who brought warmth and happiness into one’s life. Beomgyu had thought that Yeonjun was exaggerating then, but now he could see why.

“Hi Beomgyu hyung! I can call you hyung, right? I’m just one year younger than you,” he said, bouncing his way into the kitchen to unload the tray of food he carried onto the empty space in the counter. He spun around to face Beomgyu afterwards, thankfully not catching the careful observing look he had on him. “I’ve heard a lot about you.”

“You did? I hope they’re good things only.”

“Of course, you are Yeonjun hyung’s best friend!” Kai said, grasping at Beomgyu’s hands. Okay, he might be too friendly for Beomgyu’s liking. That’s one flaw. “And his first love, and the person he dated the longest and still loved for a while, and his ideal type? So yeah, I’ve heard a lot about you, hyung.”

The last bit of information made Beomgyu alert at once, he searched the younger’s face for any hint of animosity. If there was one, the guy must be so good at hiding it behind his smile and friendly demeanor. That would make him a dangerous person.

“Do you hate me for that?” he asked bluntly, tilting his head to a side in wonder.

Kai gasped. “Not at all! Actually, I’m more curious about how you dumped him. Is there any red flag I should know about?”

Red flags. That was arguably a weird question to ask to your fiance’s best friend, and it was definitely not one you should ask to the best friend who was trying to break up the wedding. But Kai didn’t know that, and another light bulb of an idea formed in his head without Soobin around to turn it off for him.

And that was how he ended up spending the last ten minutes listing down things about Yeonjun in an exaggerated manner, things that even he himself didn’t find annoying, and rumors that he only heard from people who hated him in college. He watched as Kai reacted to every piece of information, slowly feeling his confidence growing as he spotted a frown in the other’s face.

“So I wouldn’t blame you… if you need to think about it,” Beomgyu said in the end, carefully gauging the other’s expression.

Kai blinked up at him, as if just snapped out of a deep thought. “Yeah?”

“I mean, everything happened pretty fast with you two, right? There will be lots of time to get to know each other,” he coerced, putting on his best salesperson smile that he learned during a sales training he ditched after three days.

He had listed down enough things that he thought might chase someone away from a shallow relationship. It started from something mild (“so, Yeonjun hyung sleeps like a starfish, he would take most of the bed and sometimes you’d wake up with him half sprawled over you, snoring into your chest.”) to something that he knew wasn’t true (“He prioritizes his best friends over his relationship, to a questionable extent? Heard that some of his relationships ended because they saw him kissing someone else.”)

That’s why he could understand the look in Kai’s face when the guy grew silent; actually felt bad about it because he could also feel a little blooming anticipation. What kind of fucked up ‘best friend’ would do this?

Yet, there was only a smile drawn across Kai’s lips when Beomgyu focused his eyes on him again.

“You know, when I proposed to him, he listed down some of the things you told me about in hope that it would deter me.”

Now, that was a surprise. “Wait, you knew all these and still asked me?”

“Yep! I wanted confirmation from the best friend to see if he was just trying to scare me. As expected, you’re a honest and nice person, hyung. You wanted me to know what I’m getting into before the wedding!”

Beomgyu tried his best to keep his smile from faltering, ignoring the swirl of nausea in his stomach because he got praised for something that was not his intention. It was even worse that he couldn’t hate Kai. It was impossible for one to hate this boy, especially now that he even went so far as to pull him into a bear hug.

He felt like the worst person on earth, even as he stood there stiffly and petted Kai’s back.

“Oh, you two are getting along already?” Yeonjun picked that time to walk into the kitchen, carrying a box of bunny shaped puddings that he stuffed into the fridge. He looked so happy when he turned around to look at them. “I knew you would like him, Beoms.”

“Yeah… can’t breathe though,” he gasped dramatically, smiling at Kai when he pulled away.

“Oops. Are you going to help us set up the food, hyung?”

“I will, but I have to say hi to Yeonjun’s mom first, I’m her favorite,” he smiled smugly, waving off Yeonjun who poked his tongue out at him on his way out of the kitchen.

As he stepped out, he took a glance back towards the couple. They were standing together again, with Kai towering over Yeonjun and ruffling at his hair, while Yeonjun whined at him, but with the brightest smile on his face. It was as if Beomgyu was not there just two seconds ago. They slipped into their own world instantly, as if his presence was just an additional, unwanted one.

As Beomgyu walked away from the kitchen, he carried a realization that weighed like a stone in his chest. The realization that this was where he belonged, outside of their world, and it should stay that way.

//

He didn’t come back to the kitchen to help them like what he said. Instead, he walked out from the beach house, and further down the path until he ended up at the beach. It was not a crowded area, so it put him at ease when he sat down by the water and watched as the waves came close to his shoes, then retreated.

The sun was shining brightly today, but the ocean breeze gave him chills. As he tightened his hold around his knees, he wondered if it was because of the cold or because he needed to be held. It would be nice to have someone hold him right now, or throw him to the sea.

As if hearing his wish, he heard dull footsteps coming close towards him just before he felt a familiar warmth pressed against his side as the newcomer sat next to him. “I’ve been looking for you.”

Of course Soobin would bother him in his little sad bubble. Judging from the way Soobin reacted to the whole idea, he was sure the elder wouldn’t mind throwing him to the sea. Soobin would do most things that he asked for anyway.

But he stayed quiet, leaning into the comfort of the warmth. His head felt heavy as he lay it on Soobin’s shoulder, eyes staring blankly at the blue sea ahead of them.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, turning his head to nuzzle into Beomgyu’s hair.

He tried to ignore how adorable the gesture was, and how his heart might have stopped for a beat there. He couldn’t spend his time making sense of it when he had other things to worry about.

“Just. Thinking about how stupid I’ve been… coming here with an ill intention.”

“You realized that now?” Soobin snorted, earning a slap on his thigh. “Right. What was the reason? Did you see the fiance?”

“Mm… and how perfect they look together. It could’ve been me if I didn’t take Yeonjun hyung for granted. I was so spoiled being loved without having to put the same effort, and now I just realized that I still want him just the same.”

Soobin hummed. “For starters, let’s think… What makes you like him so much?”

As he actually thought about it, Beomgyu could list down a bunch of things about Yeonjun that make him likeable. Only that those were the things he heard from any other friend of theirs. He practically grew up together with Yeonjun and spent more than half of his life with the hyung. Surely, he would have something memorable that even Kai wouldn’t know?

“First of all, he’s a good kisser.”

The pause he took afterwards might have been too long, because Soobin pulled away abruptly from him, astounded. “That’s it? You want to break his engagement just because he’s a good kisser?”

“It’s not just because! You know how your first kiss stays with you forever?”

Soobin scoffed at that, seemingly still finding it a ridiculous reason. “Eh, I think a last kiss is more memorable to me.”

“Technically, I haven’t dated anyone seriously since I broke up with him so he’s also my last kiss?”

Soobin looked annoyed now, just like how he always did whenever Beomgyu always had a counter for his argument. It was fun like this, debating the elder until he got pissed off and started arguing for two whole minutes without taking a breath.

Too bad he didn’t get to witness what he wanted this time, because Soobin was suddenly so close, Beomgyu didn’t register it until he stopped. Until he felt the pair of plush lips pressing against his own.

It was a chaste, fleeting kiss. One that ended too soon before he could feel the jolt in his heart. Instead, he felt the quiver on his lower lip when Soobin pulled away, lips curling into a smile.

“Not anymore.”

Heat exploded in Beomgyu’s face when Soobin started speaking again. His mouth opened, grasping for words that melted away before he could transfer them into his own voice. All he ended up doing was delivering punches to the other’s arm.

“How could you,” punch . “Do something like that.” punch . “Casually?” punch . “You stupid insensitive fucker.”

Soobin still had the audacity to laugh, grabbing Beomgyu by the waist right when he saw that Beomgyu was about to scramble to his feet and run. He screamed in frustration and shame, even more as he ended up getting tackled into the sand. His hands coming up to cover his own face.

“I didn’t do it casually,” Soobin said, his voice growing closer, but Beomgyu was still too scared to look at him. Though in the end he still peeked through the gaps of his fingers, catching Soobin’s face hovering right above his own.

A rather fond smile was plastered across Soobin’s lips. It made Beomgyu’s stomach flip, unfamiliar with the gentleness, when the Soobin he knew was always all cocky smile and cussing at 3AM. Yet it made him feel warm in the guts again, when Soobin caught his hand again to lock their fingers together above his head.

This was an all too familiar position from last night. Except Soobin was not trying to help him with his stupid mission or try to make him cum.

There was only Soobin, looking at him like he was the only thing in the world. There was his hand on Beomgyu’s waist, and fingers between his own, and the sound of his own heartbeat that muted the distant sound of the waves.

So he did the thing that seemed so right at the moment. He pulled Soobin down by his nape and pressed their lips together.

The kiss was far from the first one. There was no gentle smile or a light taste akin to a cotton candy seeping into his taste buds. It was replaced by a lungful of heat in Beomgyu’s chest, as everything he could feel was the desire in the way Soobin’s lips chased after his own.

Despite the softness of Soobin’s plush lips, the way he kissed was nothing gentle. It was laced with desire - the way they melded against Beomgyu’s own, coaxing his lips to part and swallowing his sigh with a suckle to his bottom lip. He might have been too eager in returning the intensity, but Soobin grounded him down. He always did.

His lips parted as the kiss deepened, allowing the warmth of Soobin’s tongue to invade his mouth, coaxing a deep groan to form in his throat. His back arched as Soobin’s hand slid down his spines, settling on the small of his back. And god, did he feel so small like this, caged in Soobin’s arms and rendered breathless with just a kiss.

He felt the heat even as their lips parted. It stayed in the hold of Soobin’s hand on his waist, burning through his shirt. It was in Soobin’s breaths caressing his cheek. It was in the soft thud of Soobin’s forehead against his own, keeping the proximity between them until all he could breathe in was the intimacy, so thick in the air, palpable to the touch.

It was in his cheeks, burning as he peered up through his eyelashes to Soobin’s eyes that were still shut. He found himself smiling at the sight. “You can’t look at me after kissing me? What a playboy.”

Soobin snorted, but not giving in to the taunt. Instead, he tilted his head, pressing his nose into Beomgyu’s cheek to nuzzle against it. His lips painting the words into Beomgyu’s cheek when he spoke again.

“I don’t think I can have enough with just kissing you, if I look at you right now.”

That was cruel. Soobin couldn’t do things like this on top of everything else, not when Beomgyu’s chest was already doing triple backflips at the gesture that made it swell with fondness.

“Then…” he took a deep breath, tasting salt on his tongue, but mostly the trace of the kiss that he still craved. His fingers curled into the front of Soobin’s shirt, jerking him down. “Look at me, stupid.”

“Beomgyu?” came Soobin’s questioning tone as he lifted his face. Then, his lips curled into a smile, and Beomgyu’s chest ached. “Beomgyu-ya.”

That was it, the affection dripping from Soobin’s face, which became the thing that made Beomgyu want so much, and reminded him of the other thing he wanted so badly. The thing that brought him to this place and ignited what went on between them in the first place.

The next thing he knew, Beomgyu was already on his feet, hands shaking from the force he put when he shoved Soobin away from him.

“I can’t do this… you know what I’m here for, hyung. We’re not here for this? We don’t have much time until the wedding and I still need to convince Yeon–”

“Really, Choi Beomgyu?”

Oh. Soobin sounded so irritated, which was obvious since he was being pushed into the sand halfway into leaning for a kiss.

He just didn’t know the extent of it until Soobin got onto his feet as well. As their eyes locked, the other’s eyes were devoid of the warmth and fondness coating them just moments ago. Soobin got annoyed at him pretty often for the smallest things, but it had never been like this. Not this cold stare directed to him.

As Soobin stormed towards him, Beomgyu had to step back so quickly he almost tripped.

“What are you doing?!”

“What are you doing? Are you really still in love with him or do you just want him because he’s not obsessed with you anymore?”

“You know how I feel about him!”

At his persistence, cracks formed across the coldness in Soobin’s face. It was filled with incredulity and amusement, enough to lead him into doubling over in laughter. “You ignored him for months and now you’re back to ruin his happiest moment, you really don’t see anything wrong with that?”

“There’s no way you would understand, but he still has some feeling left as well, I can see it in the way he looked at us last night, which was also your idea!” Beomgyu’s irritation was lit up as well. He jabbed a finger onto Soobin’s chest, refusing to be intimidated by the accusations. “I’m still in love with him, that’s what matters.”

Soobin was taken aback for a second, almost looking like the words sliced him open. Beomgyu would’ve been fooled, if only it was not the sharpness that was still presented in his words. It was hard to see him as the wounded one when he was always ready to inflict the wounds.

“Are you really? I hope it’s not just because you’re hurt since he finally moved on.”

“You’re such an asshole? Just leave me alone!”

He thought that Soobin would do it for real, already too consumed by anger to realize that he was chasing off his best friend when he was the one begging for the latter to drive him. He thought that Soobin would snap at him again, he wished he had. Sometimes Beomgyu only needed to be shaken back into senses so that the words could settle into his brain.

Instead, Soobin looked almost desperate when he grabbed him by the shoulders. “Maybe it’s time you let go of him, Beomgyu. Maybe it’s time you fall in love without worrying about a safety net or having someone to come back to when it doesn’t end well.”

Honestly, it was not like Beomgyu hadn’t thought about it before. What Soobin said was nothing new. Those were the repeated midnight thoughts he always shoved into the back of his head so he wouldn’t feel so bad about it. It launched him into a defensive mode.

“What are you? My therapist? Honestly, fuck off, Choi Soobin!” he swatted at Soobin’s hands and yelled at him when Soobin wouldn’t let go.

Soobin didn’t budge, kept staring into his eyes, and Beomgyu challenged him back this time. It was a mistake.

“Maybe it’s time you look at me, ” Soobin said at least, gripping firmly onto Beomgyu’s shoulders so he wouldn’t be able to look elsewhere.

The silence that wrapped around them after that was more painful than anything else. He couldn’t breathe as he saw Soobin’s face, couldn’t look into his eyes because he could already see something broken in them just from the soft sigh exhaled by the elder.

“Hyung… I don’t know what you’re trying to do, but I really need to get Yeonjun hyung before I regret this for the rest of my life,” he shook Soobin’s hands from atop of him, biting down onto his lower lip hard so he wouldn’t have to feel the ache that was slowly spreading across his chest.

Funny. He had the privilege to taste the sweetness of Soobin’s lips on his just a moment ago, now he only had himself to blame as he tasted blood on his lip from biting too hard.

As he braved himself to look up, Soobin was running his fingers through his hair, frustration clear in his eyes when their eyes met again.

“You know, Beomgyu, I won’t stay the moment you don’t need me anymore, unlike how Choi Yeonjun did.”

“Why did you stay, then?” he asked, purely confounded now because he thought that Soobin was staying for the night just because he enjoyed playing around and helping him with the plan, and maybe helping him go through the dejection if the worst were to happen.

Why was he speaking as if there was something deeper behind it?

“No, but I was hoping that someday you would realize that…” Soobin cut himself off with a deep breath that he took. That’s when he finally looked at Beomgyu again. “Whatever. Maybe it’d take you an invitation from me to finally see it.”

“What was that?” he questioned, exasperated by the vague hinting. Why couldn’t he spell it out so Beomgyu could understand? So that Beomgyu would have no choice?

“Nothing, it’s whatever, Beomgyu. Tell him that you’re not actually engaged and that you still need him. Don’t involve me anymore.”

With that, Soobin turned around and left, taking all the warmth along with him. The ocean breeze had never felt this cold. It was even more noticeable after the kiss that made him feel hot all over. Now that everything was stripped away from him, he felt bare and void, and even more confused than before the trip.

Choi Beomgyu prided himself as someone who wouldn’t back off after setting a goal. This time too, he had to find a way to confess his love to his soon-to-be-married first love. It should’ve been easy, if only he had done it since the beginning instead of appointing Soobin as his fake fiance.

Maybe that way he would be more at ease now.

Maybe that way, he wouldn’t be stuck alone in some private beach, hugging his knees, and thinking about Choi Soobin’s stupid mouth.

//

The car was gone by the time Beomgyu made his way back to the beach house.

He tried to ignore that little detail, or the clench in his chest, as he rushed into the house. Eyes searching for one person. The brunch was already starting, and everyone was already eating and chattering. When he saw Yeonjun alone, it was when he went to take the dessert from the kitchen, and Beomgyu used it as his chance to corner the hyung.

“Hyung, can I have a minute?”

“Oh, Beoms! Do you want a bunny pudding as well? I wanted to give some to Soobin but he was in a rush–”

“I’m in love with you,” he blurted out while Yeonjun was talking, freezing the time right there as Yeonjun’s words were cut off instantly. His mouth hung open, almost comically, if only Beomgyu was not dying out of nerves. He was one foot in the water already, might as well jump in.

“Is this a prank?” he blinked.

“I’ve never moved on. I never dated anyone else after we broke up either, maybe I was kind of waiting for the deadline? Because we promised to get married if we don’t find someone when we’re 30. I was too much of a coward to tell you earlier and now you found Kai and he’s perfect and, God.

After saying all of those without so much of an intake of breath, Beomgyu was panting, holding onto the edge of a counter. His lungs were going to explode, as if the heart that was beating so fast against it was not threatening his life enough.

But the silence was the worst part. Even before Yeonjun could change his expression or say anything, it already felt so much like a rejection.

It still hurt, even as he had expected this much already. Even as Soobin had warned him since the beginning.

“He’s perfect. I hate that I can’t even hate him, and that you two look so good together. You looked happier than when we were together too. So at least there’s that,” he took a deep breath at least, smiling at Yeonjun and wishing that the burning in his eyes were not the first sign of tears. “But if there’s any chance that you could still have feelings for me, even for a bit, please come back to me.”

Yeonjun still hadn’t said anything, but at least he put the tray of bunny puddings aside and stepped closer to him. His hands awkwardly hang between them, as if afraid that Beomgyu would break if he touched him.

Beomgyu would rather have Yeonjun break him right there so he could piece himself back up without a piece of him that’s still in love with the other.

“Say something, please…” he whispered.

“Beomgyu, I just…”

As the elder stepped closer, he curled his fingers around the fabric of his shirt, tugging him closer. There was no pity in Yeonjun’s eyes, instead there was the same kind of look Beomgyu saw whenever Yeonjun saw him with Soobin last night, and that’s what it took for him to lean in and kiss Yeonjun right on his mouth.

Yeonjun’s lips were always nice to kiss. Beomgyu had known that all along, and he had experienced kissing them a lot of times even before. But he never thought that he would get the chance again. Yeonjun didn’t shove him away or kiss him back, he stayed still even once Beomgyu stepped away abruptly, crashing against the pile of plates on the counter top.

“I’m so sorry, I shouldn’t have done that,” he slapped a hand over his mouth, staring wide eyed at Yeonjun who hadn’t moved for a while. “You didn’t even say yes, god, I don’t know what got into me–”

“Have you realized now, Choi Beomgyu? There was nothing right about that kiss. It’s just like the last time we kissed. I love you, but it’s never going to work between us.”

Beomgyu stared at him, flinching under the touch on his cheek when Yeonjun’s hand gently brushed over his face. As the hand pulled away he could see the glistening stain of tears on his fingertips. Only then did he notice the droplets of tears that had rolled down his cheeks.

“I don’t understand…”

“I’m not the one you want, even you know that already. I don’t get why you’re still trying so hard, especially when you’ve found someone too,” the sound of Yeonjun’s laughter was not a mocking or amused one. It was fondness that Beomgyu felt, making his chest swell even when it fucking hurt.

It was even worse that he didn’t know why it felt so suffocating here. Why the kiss felt so wrong despite it being what he wanted to have for so long.

“What if I told you that Soobin was not actually my fiance? That we were faking it just to see your reaction?” he sniffled, brushing another drop of tear that just escaped his eye.

“Don’t be stupid,” Yeonjun deadpanned. “Faking an engagement is one thing, but faking that you’re not engaged? You don’t think I’m an idiot, do you?”

“Seriously! We were faking it all. We’re not even dating!”

Yeonjun looked annoyed now, he turned his back and grabbed the tray of pudding back from the counter. “Well then it’s time to make him your fiance for real then, don’t be stupid.”

The way he said that so casually made his jaw drop. As if that was not enough of a shock for Beomgyu’s poor heart to take, he waltzed away right after, pressing a kiss to Kai’s cheek as he passed the guy right at the entrance of the kitchen.

Silence settled in the kitchen as Kai’s eyes landed on him the next moment. Beomgyu wanted to die right there.

“How long have you been there?” he asked, wiping away the remnants of tears from his face before facing Kai again.

“A while. I was going to help carry the rabbits, but got to watch something more interesting.”

Beomgyu cursed himself mentally, his smile faltering as he made his way towards the other. “I’m so sorry, it’s all me, I swear. Hyung didn’t do anything to lead that. It’s on me.”

“Hyung, please. I’m not even mad about it. I mean, I would kiss you too?”

His head spun from both relief and how strange it was. That’s when he finally acknowledged that the two were, really, made for each other.

Now he just needed to figure out his own feelings, why he felt strangely liberated even after he got rejected by Yeonjun, yet his heart stayed heavy after that. The way it weighed a ton ever since Soobin left him on the beach.

//

(“So.. what pushed you to confess?”

“Last night, I thought you were jealous over me and Soobin, so I wanted to push it just a bit more to see if there’s a chance.”

Yeonjun snorted. “Honestly? It’s always been like that since uni days.”

“Huh?”

“You didn’t realize?” he gasped, holding back his laughter as he saw the other’s confused expression. “Beomgyu, darling, this is how he always looks at you, or treat you. There’s not much difference, except at that time you were dating me. Maybe that’s why it was so convincing to me last night.”)

//

It was only on the wedding day that Beomgyu actually, finally, realized that he did not have that kind of feelings left for Yeonjun anymore, and that he would not love it if he were the person who took the space next to him up there.

Sure, he loved Yeonjun. He enjoyed having him around and hanging out with him. But the breakup was long overdue; the puppy love they shared as they grew up together only stayed as that, and he understood that after seeing the look of happiness and love dripping from the couple on the wedding day.

He only had someone in mind who he wanted to be with, and he was nowhere to be seen.

The only trace of him was in the form of unread messages Beomgyu sent to their chat box and the list of missed calls. He was going to have Soobin as his plus one for the party, and now he only had these glasses of wine to accompany his lonely night.

//

Beomgyu decided to leave the party after a couple glasses of wine, or more. He stood by the elevator, watching as the number went up towards the ballroom floor of the hotel where the event was held. His brain was fuzzy from the alcohol, cheeks painted a shade of pink. With the state of his mind right now, he almost thought that the object of his thoughts had materialized into a solid form when the elevator door slid open, welcoming Soobin into the view.

A couple walked past him as they exited the lift, but Soobin stayed there the moment their eyes locked.

“Why are you here?” he asked, staring straight at the other. The phone he kept in the pocket of his suit burned through the fabric and into his skin, reminding him of the silence.

“I got invited too. Why wouldn’t I be here?” Soobin smiled at him, though his eyes stayed cold, even after the smile dissipated and he walked out of the lift, straight towards Beomgyu, who didn’t budge from his spot. “Move.”

When Soobin got closer, Beomgyu’s head started spinning again. His eyes widened as he stumbled back, almost falling back on his ass if only it was not for the hand that grabbed him by the elbow.

“Did you drink too much?”

“What did you expect? I have no date so I can only drink,” he scoffed, snatching his hand out of Soobin’s grip and swaying his way towards the elevator to stop the doors from sliding close. “I’m going home. Enjoy the party, Soobin-ah.”

“You can’t go home alone tipsy like this. It’s not safe.”

“Why do you care, hyung?” he snapped, jabbing at the button towards the intended floor once he was inside. Just so he could get out of there quicker. “You didn’t even read my texts or pick up my calls. Don’t pretend like you care now.”

Soobin stood there silently as the elevator doors slid to a close, until the very last second right before it shut completely that he blocked it with his whole body. He slid inside, towering over Beomgyu who had stumbled back and now pressing himself against the farthest corner.

“I care about you going home alone in this state. What I don’t care about is you pining over Yeonjun and trying to ruin his wedding. But apparently you failed that, so you must have learnt your lesson.”

Beomgyu shut his eyes, letting the annoyance burn through him and dissipate so he wouldn’t act on it. In fact, having Soobin here was weirdly comforting and familiar. It had been a normal occurrence, that no matter how annoyed Soobin was at him, he would be the first one to come and send him home whenever he was outside and got intoxicated.

It felt nice, even when Soobin was still mad at him and acting cold, he still cared about him.

“I did, I kissed him.”

Soobin arched his brow, curious. “Yet the wedding is still happening?”

“Doesn’t matter. He rejected me in the end. Yeonjun hyung thinks that I haven’t been in love with him for a while. It’s all just in my head.”

This was something that was installed in his system too, that no matter how bad of a fight they had, Beomgyu could trust Soobin to still listen to him whenever he had something to say. Now that he thought about these little things Soobin had constantly done for him, maybe Yeonjun did not make up things to get rid of him.

“What do you think about it?” Soobin asked.

When Beomgyu opened his eyes again, he almost knocked his head against the wall, finding that Soobin was so, so close. He was cornering him against the spot he picked on a whim. It was suffocating, yet in a way that made his body burn instead of squeezing his lungs.

“I think he might be right,” he said, looking right into Soobin’s eyes. “Because someone replaced my last kiss just before that other kiss took place, and he messed up with my mind. I couldn’t stop thinking about his dumbass even when I was confessing.”

“Yeah?” a hint of a smile spread across Soobin’s lips. He held Beomgyu’s face by his chin, fingers gently handling him so their gazes stayed locked. “How could he leave you?”

“Don’t know. He was being an ass, but I was more upset at him because deep down, I know what he said was true.”

“Do you want him to do something about the kiss then? Take responsibility of it?”

Beomgyu shrugged, tipping his chin up in a challenging manner. “I don’t know. He’s not my last kiss anymore.”

The bait was taken the moment he saw Soobin’s eyes darkened. He could feel it in his guts. It was the same look Soobin had that night they were doing silly things and ended up with him rubbing himself all over the other. He saw it when Soobin was in between his legs, looking at him like he had never wanted something so much it hurt.

The fingers still pressed gently to his jaw even as Soobin leaned in closer. His eyelashes fluttered against his cheeks when he shut his eyes, lips parted to welcome the pair of lips that he had been thinking of for too many nights that he was not proud of.

Until the elevator stopped moving up, and the ding sound had them jumping away from each other.

“Oh, that’s us,” Beomgyu said, peering over the other’s shoulder.

“We’re not in the lobby though. Why are we on the 78th floor?”

Beomgyu blinked at him. “Yeonjun hyung booked a few rooms for family in this hotel, so I got one too. I said I’m going home right?”

“What was I getting all concerned for?” Soobin groaned, flattening his palm over his own face while the other tugged him out from the elevator.

//

They started kissing before they even got into the room.

Beomgyu thought it was a good idea to shove the taller male right against the door and kissed him on the mouth right there. He felt the vibration from Soobin’s chest as he groaned, hands hovering atop Beomgyu’s waist until he finally braved himself to grab him and pull him flush against his body.

His lips were wet and pretty pink when Beomgyu pulled away to catch a look of them. It gave Soobin the chance to speak, even with the younger keep kissing him, pressing fleeting kisses and coaxing him into a deep kiss and everything. He didn’t know how to stop now that he got to kiss Choi Soobin again.

“You couldn’t wait until we’re inside?” he groaned, head tilting back so the next kiss landed on his jaw.

Beomgyu didn’t mind. He snuck a bite to his jaw, sending a smirk his way when he pulled away. “I wanted to make sure that the person I invited to my room is someone I like to kiss? It’d suck if I keep thinking of the last person I kiss instead.”

The hold Soobin had on Beomgyu’s hips tightened at the reminder of the kiss with Yeonjun. He frowned, his hand slid around the small of his back to hold him in a protective hold instead. The rush of heat that it caused was no joke, Beomgyu had to inhale deeply to not whimper pathetically against the other.

“And how was it?” Soobin asked expectantly. Cute how he still needed the validation.

“Not sure. Kiss me again and we will see.”

As he said that, he tapped the card into the censor. Soobin didn’t waste any time to tug him into the room. The room brightened as they stepped it, not like they needed it, as they were already all over each other again. Their lips locked, and Soobin’s hands busy tugging the suit off Beomgyu’s frame, discarding it to the floor.

Despite the playful demeanour earlier, Beomgyu still couldn’t stop kissing Soobin once he started. He kept their lips locked as he slid his arms around the other’s neck, only grunting as he was being held up in Soobin’s arms. His legs locked around the other’s waist, letting Soobin grab onto his thighs while carrying him towards the bed.

The bed sank under their weight as they crashed heavily onto the mattress. Beomgyu’s brain still felt woozy and heavy, but he knew that it was not because of the alcohol anymore. He might have been lightheaded too after the kiss was broken this time, head tilted back as he swallowed a lungful of air, while Soobin panted against his neck, mouth pressed into his heated skin.

“Wait, I have a question,” he said suddenly, earning a questioning hum from the other.

Soobin already had his fingers working on the buttons of his dress shirt, but he pulled away to look at him, attentive as always.

“Did you mean what you said last time, about wanting to do this for a while? Or was it because you wanted to rile me up?” he asked, chest heaving as he saw how quickly Soobin had unwrapped him from his shirt. The useless cloth just hung onto him now, barely covering anything now.

“I meant everything I said and did that night,” Soobin said, once again looking like it was painful for him, holding back something. “I’ve wanted you for so long, Beomgyu. You just never looked at me in this way.”

“You are my best friend. I shouldn’t be thinking of you like this either… What have you done?”

Soobin, that menace, had the audacity to laugh. Even as he was feeling up Beomgyu’s naked body, or leaning in to mouth along his chest, teasing his nipple with his mouth and making Beomgyu curse him to hell and back. He still had the fond smile on his lips when he looked at him again. Beomgyu wished his heart wouldn’t betray him like this again, thumping madly against his chest. He wondered if the other could hear it, with how close he was.

“I didn’t do anything, but I will do everything today to make sure that you won’t need anyone else.”

“Can you really do that?” he taunted, as if he was not already arching his back to the touch and whining needily. He needed to keep the last bit of his dignity and not succumb into the temptation of this devil in his bed so quickly. Perhaps playing it a little cocky would work. "Less talk, big boy. Let’s see what you’re capable of.”

Famous last words.

He should stop throwing the word around when talking about Soobin because he hadn’t really known big until he had Soobin’s cock lodged deep inside him.

“Fuck… fuck you. Why do you have to be so…” his words were lost in a silent cry as he finally dropped himself fully on top of Soobin’s lap, letting his length fully sink inside him. He could almost feel it pulsing, pressing against every inch of his inside.

“Yeah?” Soobin sounded distracted, eyes half lidded as he threw his head back. He looked hot this way, with his jaws tensed and the vein lining the side of his neck. Beomgyu would have taken his time peppering kisses down the lines, if only he wasn’t feeling like he could explode anytime soon.

Huge . Like, what’s the purpose of keeping something like this between your legs every day if you’re not using it?”

At his commentary, Soobin directed his gaze back at him. His eyebrows arched. He looked incredulous and amused at the same time. “You can still talk shit even when you’re sitting on a cock? Good to know.”

“Yeah, it isn’t all that.”

Perhaps Beomgyu should really stop talking, because then he felt Soobin’s hands back on his hips, followed by a particular thrust of his hips upwards that instantly ripped out a strangled moan from him. He clawed at Soobin’s arms, eyes wide as he looked at the other because how the fuck did he even get deeper?

“Still not enough now?”

“I didn’t say that, asshole… god ,” he gasped, holding onto Soobin’s shoulders as he tried moving his hips. His knees digging into the bed, shaking. “Fuck, I think I can feel it in my throat.”

“Don’t be dramatic. You had it in your throat like ten minutes ago.”

Heat exploded in Beomgyu’s face as if it wasn’t already everywhere all over his body. He didn’t need a reminder of himself shoving Soobin into the bed the moment his pants were off and going down to drool all over his cock. That was the hungry, feral part of him that should not be talked about.

So he slapped a hand over Soobin’s mouth, blocking the annoying smirk from view. “Shut up. You were so much nicer as my fiance.”

Surprisingly, Soobin complied. He stayed there with a hand over his mouth, eyes watching Beomgyu’s face as he moved up and down his cock, fucking himself with it as if he had been doing this countless times. This time, he was quieter. His noises were kept just between them, soft noises of pleasure and whimpers every time Soobin’s cock would rub firmly over the spot that made his guts twist in pleasure.

The hands on his hips were reassuring. He mildly registered that this was the way Soobin always held him. The protective hold he had around Beomgyu’s waist, even when they were nothing more than best friends. He always liked that back then too.

But in a setting like this, where Soobin drew him closer by the waist, it made his legs falter and his eyes burn with tears. He could come like this, riding Soobin’s cock, with his own rubbing against the other’s toned abdomen and his waist being held so dearly.

“Getting tired?” Soobin asked softly. “I can take over.”

Only then did Beomgyu notice that Soobin had moved his hand away from his mouth, now pressing his face into his palm, kissing down to his wrist. It was so tender; nobody ever did something so cheesy to him like this, It made his chest swell, a choked sob shook through his body.

“N-no way. You take whatever I give you only.”

The amused look on Soobin's face was almost offensive. “But you’re barely moving. I think you need help.”

“Shut up! I don’t need your help. Just sit down there and,” as he looked down, he could see that Soobin was right, he was not moving much, just rocking his hips desperately to have Soobin’s cock shallowly fuck inside him. His thighs burned. “Just shut up!”

As Beomgyu moved his hand to cover Soobin’s face again, Soobin easily caught it. With a hold around his waist and the bruising grip on his arm, Soobin easily manhandled him so that he could push him back down into the bed, right in the middle this time. His cock had slipped out during the whole thing, but he wasn’t given time to whine about it because Soobin was already on him again the next second.

Once his cock was back inside him, he never stopped, going straight up to fucking him into the bed and Beomgyu wailed. It was the loudest sound he made today, and he couldn’t stop, not when his senses were all filled with Soobin , given no single second to rest.

His wrist was being held on the bed right above his head, the way Soobin did it the night at the beach house. At first it was hot with the gripping that would surely leave a bruise on his skin, then he moved to lock their fingers together, and Beomgyu shook his head because there was no way he could handle the feelings of being fucked until he saw the gate of hell and having his chest filled with so much tenderness it might burst.

“Too much?” Soobin grunted out.

His hips slowed down for a bit, moving in deliberate, slow rolls of hips that gave Beomgyu time to catch his breath yet also drove him crazy because of how he was allowed to feel everything - the way his rim stretched around Soobin’s girth, the friction of him moving inside and out of him, his hot breath fanning against his cheek.

Even as he tore his gaze away from Soobin and looked down, it only made things worse. The sight of Soobin between his legs, fucking him slowly yet deeply. His own cock was drooling onto his abdomen. His legs were held high on either side of Soobin’s waist. The male’s fingers dug into the flesh of his thigh, holding it to keep his legs spread apart.

He looked so lewd, it should be embarrassing.

“N- ah!” he couldn’t even form a word. How eloquent.

“Can’t even speak properly, yet still trying to boss me around?”

“Go faster, come on!” he finally whined, his fist balling up as he pushed against the restraint on his arm. The hold only tightened, and as Beomgyu looked up into Soobin’s eyes again, he felt shiver running down his spines.

His hand was freed from its restraint, yet it stayed there helplessly. Soobin moved his hand down to grab at his face. His fingers pressed into his jaws, holding his face still to look at the other. As their eyes met, Beomgyu stared at him in daze, his lips parted to inhale a lungful of oxygen that burned his insides.

That was when Soobin leaned in, spitting right into his mouth.

You take whatever I give you.”

It was sick, the way his stomach twisted with arousal, he could’ve cum right there if he let go. His eyes were wide, staring at Soobin in surprise, just before they fluttered close when Soobin kissed him again. He had his tongue in Beomgyu’s mouth, swallowing down a particularly loud moan Beomgyu made when Soobin started fucking him again.

He was rocking against him steadily now, slamming his cock inside him until he was gasping for air, mewling when Soobin pulled away from the kiss. They were messy. Lube and cum and saliva. It only turned Beomgyu on even more. How sickening.

“Soobin hyung… Soobin,” he called out desperately, clawing lines into Soobin’s arm.

Soobin’s mouth was back on him instantly, kissing at his jaw and down to his neck when his head was tilted back. “Pretty Beomgyu. So pretty for me,” he breathed the words into his neck, burning the patch of sweaty skin with tenderness. “So pretty and mine.”

When he spilled his cum onto his stomach, it was with a silent cry, followed by a lot more desperate and whiny noises as Soobin fucked him through it. The sensation was delicious, the way Soobin held onto his waist, dragging his orgasm so he could feel the most of it. And then as Beomgyu started coming down from his high, Soobin was fucking him like a ragdoll, gently kissing his cheek and cooing at him when he cried out from sensitivity. But he loved it, the feeling of being used; being wanted so much that Soobin couldn’t let go of him.

He held tightly onto Soobin when he finally halted his movement, spilling his cum inside him that Beomgyu almost shook with another orgasm. A shiver wracked through his body as he felt the hyung shallowly fucked into him for that brief moment, until he completely stilled, groaning and breathing harsh into Beomgyu’s neck.

It took a moment until Beomgyu could breathe properly again, reaching out to wipe the tears that he didn’t know he had cried out. He was staring blankly at the uselessly fancy looking ceiling above them, eyes wide.

“Fuck,” he whispered. “I might really have to marry you for real at this rate.”

“Huh?” Soobin lifted his head. His movement slow and sluggish, looking like he was sleepy and drained after unleashing that side of him in bed.

Beomgyu gave him a look when their eyes met, but he couldn’t feel irritated when he saw the pout on Soobin’s lips and the pair of round eyes peering up at him. This was the guy who had made him cry during sex and spat into his mouth just moments ago. He was, coincidentally, also his best friend, and his fiance, a week ago.

//

Soobin didn’t talk anymore until the room quietened down again and their breaths evened up. They were lying side by side now, Beomgyu cuddled up against the other and the blanket messily thrown over their frame.

“Hey, you can take all the time you need to move on. We don’t need to rush into this, whatever it is,” he said out of the blue, gathering Beomgyu’s attention from where he was busy staring at the faint red lines he inflicted onto Soobin’s skin.

He hummed in thought. “Actually, I don’t even feel hurt anymore after the rejection. It is what it is.”

“That quickly?”

“Maybe you’re right, I was only scared of losing someone who was supposed to be in love with me. Maybe I was just too worried about not finding anyone else, that I didn’t pay attention to what I already have.”

At this answer, Soobin shifted from his position, using his elbow to support his frame so he could look into Beomgyu’s eyes. “It doesn’t have to be me , right? Even if I like you, it doesn’t mean you have to return it.”

The confidence he had completely disappeared now. This was the Choi Soobin who had told Beomgyu to start looking at him at the beach. He was so convinced that there was something between them, and he was right. Why would he pull away now?

“Soobin hyung,” he called out, brushing his fingers through Soobin’s damp hair. A frown on his face. “I want you to stop treating me like a best friend. Give me the wrong ideas and make me curse your name at 3AM because I can’t stop thinking about you.”

At the request, Soobin’s body shook with a soft laughter. He leaned in to press his face into Beomgyu’s bare shoulder, nipping at it with his plush lips. “That’s a weird way of asking someone out.”

“Am I asking you out?” he asked dramatically, breaking into a fit of giggles when Soobin landed a pinch on his waist.

“Yeah, whatever. What did I expect?”

“No no, I am,” Beomgyu said finally. He held onto Soobin’s cheeks, making him look up so their eyes met. Only then did he start talking seriously again. “Let’s date, with marriage in mind. “

Soobin choked, whining as he dropped his face onto Beomgyu’s chest, and he was so fond that he felt his chest filled to the brim. Now that he was not too busy paying attention to his arousal, he could feel the thumping in his chest a little more clearly.

If he could ease into the role of Soobin’s fiance just within a few minutes last week, he had a feeling that it would be just as easy to play the part in real life.

Notes:

happy 1k works in the soogyu tag!
I don't have much to contribute into the tag since I've never written anything serious in my life, but hopefully some of the scenes in this fic brought smile into your face. Comment will be hidden and just for me to see so tell me what you think!!!
