“Man let’s just get through this day and we can hit the bars later tonight with the boys. Wait Shin, what about all those deadlines you still haven’t met?”

Suddenly they both turned their heads as the Executive Director of their company walked in.
There he was… Mr. Gillan.
Always fully dressed in his fancy suit and tie with a luxury watch to match. He always looked so sophisticated, Shin thought, as he watched him walk around the office casually greeting the workers when he passed. As he walked by Shin’s desk he shot an intense gaze at him before entering his office and closing the door.
“Damn, did you see that death glare. Better get to work before he fires you.”
Liam joked. Shin sighed and turned back to his computer.
A few desks away Shin could overhear two girl co-workers talking about an incident that occurred last week.
“Did you hear about the new employee who got fired last Friday?” The first girl questioned.
“Yeah I saw him storm out of the Executive Director’s office. He looked really pissed off.”
“Geez, the guy was a hard worker too. I wonder what reason that conceited Director found to fire him.”
“Right… Mr. Gillan’s a real hottie, it’s a shame he’s such an asshole”
The whispers stopped as Mr. Gillan’s office door abruptly opened. There stood the tall blonde with his usual stern face on. He walked around the office stopping to talk to a few workers about miscellaneous things.
Shin found himself wondering what kind of person this mysterious man was. He never really got to know him in the short time he has worked here, but he always seemed so distant and cold.
How could there be a man like this? A young Executive Director of a huge company with so much money and power, his perfect image pissed Shin off. His life seemed so put together and prestigious…
There was something else on Shin’s mind but he was interrupted by a large hand on his shoulder. He froze as he heard the Director’s deep voice behind him.
“Mr. Moon Shingun, see me in my office please.”
Shin snapped back to reality as he watched Mr. Gillan walk back to his office, he sighed and stood up to follow him.
As Shin entered the room, Mr. Gillan closed the door behind them. The room was tense as they both sat down across from each other.
Mr. Gillan spoke first.
“So Mr. Moon, what do you think you’re here for?”
Shin was in a bad mood and decided to answer bluntly.
“I’m not sure Mr. Gillan, probably to fire me like that new guy last week.”
“Well, he deserved it.”
The blonde man answered in a straightforward manner while tapping his fingers on the desk.
Shin noted the face he had on was different than usual. Mr. Gillan looked a little surprised… or maybe even pleased by Shin’s attitude.
“Feisty today aren’t ya… How about this, let’s stop addressing each other formally. Just call me Jake, and I’ll call you Shingun.”
Shin raised an eyebrow at the Director’s odd request. But before he could speak, he felt a foot brush against his leg and lift up his dress pants. Shin flinched a little before looking up at Mr. Gillan who was staring at him eagerly. Shin sat there puzzled by the action.
“Shingun… Why don’t you tell me about the deadlines you still haven’t met, hmm?”
The Director hummed lowly.
“Look… Jake…”
Shin spoke forcefully before continuing.
“I don’t wanna play these belittling games with you, just say you’re firing me so I can leave already.”
Shin scooted his chair back trying to leave but was stopped by Jake’s dress shoe stepping over his. Jake held his shoe down as he spoke.
“The man I fired last week… he actually ended up losing this company a lot of money. Long story short, he also tried to suck my dick as compensation.”

“And why are you telling me this?”
“Because me and you are more alike than you think Shingun. Like you I don’t care about this shitty company, I just got stuck with it thanks to my family.”
