Sunday mornings were always Minjeong's favorites, ever since she was a little kid. Sundays used to be the only day she woke up to a full house, with her mother and father brewing coffee in their kitchen, laughing and looking at each other with loving eyes. She loved to wake up to that scenario.
During high school, Sunday mornings were the only period when she didn't have to worry about school, soccer practice, relationship drama, or the screaming and fighting from the bedroom opposite to hers in the hallway. She could sleep and pretend her parents would be downstairs just like when she was younger.
Now, in college, she still treasures those Sunday mornings, especially when she went to bed next to someone on Saturday night. Even more when that someone happens to be the Campus Queen, Yoo Jimin. Minjeong loves those Sunday mornings way too much.
That Sunday, she woke up with sunrays piercing through the windows straight into her face, and cursed herself for not closing the blinds before bed. That reminded her of what, or better yet who, was the reason for it.
She turned around and was met with an empty bed, frowning in confusion, until she raised her gaze and found the girl who kept her up all night already up and gathering her clothes from last night on Minjeong's bedroom floor.
— Since you're up, why don't you close those blinds and come back here so we can continue from where we left off last night? – Minjeong said, startling the other girl and making her drop her shirt which she was about to dress.
The girl's gaze met Minjeong's and she rolled her eyes at the smirk on the blonde's face, gathering the strength to keep her own mouth corners to rise.
— You really wanna continue that, or you're just saying it so I go back to bed so we can cuddle just like last week? – The girl chuckled softly, going back to dressing up.
— I'm here for whatever you want me to do, love – Minjeong got out of the bed, hugging the girl from behind and leaving soft pecks on her neck, sending shivers through the girl's body.
— You really need to stop calling me that, you were the one who said you were just looking for fun – She said, but with slight amusement in her tone and not even trying to get out of Minjeong's embrace.
— I mean, it's pretty fun to see how shy the almighty Yoo Jimin gets when a mere commoner like me, Kim Minjeong, calls her love, love – She said against Jimin's neck, making the older laugh at her antics.
— You're no commoner Kim Minjeong, but your ego is already bigger than your whole apartment so I'm not saying it again – She turned around, snaking her arms through the blonde's shoulders and meeting her soft features with a fond smile.
— I don't know if I should take that as a compliment, but since it's coming from you, I'll take it wholeheartedly, love – Minjeong pulled Jimin closer to herself, giving a peck on her lips and tried to walk backwards towards the bed, pouting when she realized the taller stood there, laughing at Minjeong's pout.
— I'm not staying, Minjeong. I still need to take a shower and grab breakfast before meeting with the girls later – Jimin said, releasing herself from the other girl's hold and going back to dressing up and searching for her things.
Minjeong sighed and sitted at the bed corner, watching and admiring as the girl opened her closet and reached for one of her flannels, her shirt long forgotten on the bedroom floor.
— You can take a shower with me and eat here love, you know, you're already in my clothes anyways – The younger smirked while the older rolled her eyes, now searching for her phone and purse.
— Maybe when I'm the only one you say those things to, then I'll think about it – Jimin winked at her, earning a wide grin from the blonde.
— You're the only one I let wear my clothes tho – Both girls laughed, and Jimin went to her, now putting both her hands on Minjeong's shoulders, lowering her head so she could kiss the other goodbye.
— That means you're on the right way, but you haven't reached your destination yet – She looked at the blonde's hazel eyes with her sharp and dark orbs, their gazes holding a lot of emotions, from fondness to lust, from familiarity to curiosity.
— I hope you have a good sense of direction, love, because I'll probably need some guidance throughout that path – Minjeong snaked her hands under the older's clothing, placing them on her waist and pulling her even closer.
— Good for you, I never get lost when I'm going somewhere – With their faces only inches apart, it didn't take much for Jimin to reach for the younger's lips with her own.
It wasn't their first, longest, most passionate or even most eager kiss. Instead, it was familiar, quick, affectionate and chaste.
Jimin left the blonde's apartment soon after that. Minjeong closed the blinds and went back to bed, missing the warmth for the other's body next to hers. That morning, she dreamed of long wavy hair, with sharp dark orbs and a blinding smile.
Minjeong loves Sunday mornings the most. And maybe Sunday mornings with Jimin holds a special place in her heart.
