Sr. Avila One Shots

Summary:

A collection of Sr. Avila one shots- mainly ships but also some character studies.

Each chapter starts with a summary, what pairing, and warnings (if any apply).

Chapter 1: Gun It (Ivan/Avila)

Summary:

Avila/Ivan

A missing scene of sorts from the episode where they smoke weed together. Ivan shows Avila a couple smoking tricks, and they end up shotgunning. Shamless fluff here lmao, no warnings apply.

Chapter Text

Avila wasn't sure what to expect from his bet with Ivan, and he honestly doubted they'd actually go through with this. But here they were after a long day of scheming and killing, currently sitting on the couch and sharing a lit joint. The don was skeptical if Ivan had smoked before, but he only coughed a few times- which Avila did as well.

It certainly wasn't the best quality out there, but weed is weed and Avila was happy to numb his senses. What he didn't foresee though was just how strong this specific strain was. Avila choked on both the smoke and a laugh when it hit him, along with the realization of how funny the situation was.

Ivan had a serious look on his face as he glanced out the window, spaced out until he heard his don's sudden laugh. He broke out of his daze and chuckled too, acknowledging just how hard the high was hitting.

"Where did you even get this?" Avila asked as he handed the joint to Ivan.

The right-hand gave a secretive smile, "You don't think I have connections?"

Avila offered another laugh, "We're in the killing business. I'd expect you to know how to get your hands on fentanyl… Or anything actually lethal."

In a normal setting, this wouldn't have been a funny conversation. But the two grown men found themselves practically giggling. They hadn't opened a window or door, and so it wasn't long before the office was filled with the pungent smoke.

"Are you forgetting that I was young once?" Ivan asked, holding an almost mischievous tone.

Avila was barely sitting up at this point, eyeing Ivan curiously. It was hard to imagine the man being anything other than the usually uptight and sarcastic person that he was.

"But what do you have to show for it?" Avila asked.

Ivan thought for a moment, taking a slow drag from the joint. He didn't answer, instead blowing a few rings of smoke into the hazy air. They floated off, and Avila watched with an unusual sense of awe.

"Show me how to do that." He said, sitting up a bit.

Ivan smirked and handed him the joint, "It's all in the lips… Just keep your tongue down and shape an 'o'."

Avila nodded and tried to visualize this, taking a drag and filling his lungs with the smoke. He held it before exhaling, but his overthinking didn't help. A small and pathetic ring was created, but he promptly choked on the rest of the smoke. Avila laughed with Ivan, even though his eyes burned and watered a bit.

"You'll get it next time, sir." Ivan said, though there was little hope.

After taking a drink to clear his throat, Avila said, "Do another trick."

At a loss, Ivan shrugged his shoulders. He wasn't exactly full of smoking tricks, but he let his mind wander to other things he'd seen over the years.

"Well… There's shotgunning."

Avila raised a brow, obviously at a loss, "What's that?"

Ivan couldn't help but chuckle, saying, "Maybe it's best if I just show you, sir."

The don hesitated for only a second before nodding, eyes focused on the man beside him. He watched intently as Ivan took a drag, but he then leaned forward. He closed the space between them, raising a hand to the side of Avila's head to caress it.

Avila instinctively parted his lips, eyes fixated on Ivan and stilling. Soon smoke began to creep out of Ivan's mouth- and Avila then knew what he was supposed to do. Their lips momentarily brushed from how close they were, mouths slightly open to let the smoke travel through.

Ivan exhaled more smoke, going at a slow pace for Avila to piece things together and inhale it. The don felt an excited flutter in his chest as his lungs filled with the smoke, recognizing just how close they were to kissing.

They pulled away much too soon for either of their likings, both seeming almost out of breath. Avila stared with amazement while Ivan looked him over to gauge his reaction. Their eyes were dulled from the drug- along with the thickening veil of smoke- and yet still full of life. They had pulled apart, but they were still rather close to each other.

"Let me try." Avila soon said, his tone unreadable.

Ivan nodded, "If you think you have the hang of it, sir."

Avila swallowed before taking a hit of the dwindling joint, sucking in more smoke than necessary for the trick. It only took a simple shift for them to be face-to-face again, and Ivan leaned in expectantly. Avila closed the distance them, carefully blowing the smoke out for Ivan.

It came as a surprise when Ivan practically ignored the smoke, instead letting their lips brush against each other again. Avila's eyes slightly widened for just a moment, but he quickly recovered. They were both high out of their minds, so the touch felt soft and comfortable.

Avila leaned in and kissed Ivan back, pressing against him as the joint slacked in his hand. It was soon tossed onto the coffee table and promptly forgotten, the two men trying a new sort of trick.
