Despite coming from the prestigious Black Wolf Clan and despite being the clans heir, Joonghyuk gave it all up willingly and excommunicated himself after his family refused to accept Kim Dokja, a lowly ranking member of the Red Fox Clan, as his mate. His family tried to retaliate and force him to stay but he killed anyone who stood in his way. He was the strongest beast human in existence after all; no one stood a chance.
His former fiancé, Seolhwa of the White Tiger Clan, had wisely convinced the elders of her clan to not seek out retribution for the broken engagement; his clan on the other hand was not so wise. They tried to harm Kim Dokja and that was a huge mistake as they came to realize that Joonghyuk’s behavior beforehand, killing just those who had come after him, had been Joonghyuk being polite.
He brutally murdered half of the Black Wolf Clan members before they finally yielded and under a binding oath vowed to never so much as even look at Kim Dokja again.
After that Joonghyuk and Dokja left the Kingdom of Sol where their previous clans had resided and travelled across the continent for the Shin Empire, where Clans held less political power due to the massively diverse population from the empire containing multiple important trade routes.
They lived in a quaint but nice home on the outskirts of the Shin Empires Capital city, Close to the vast forest. Kim Dokja worked as a scribe and Joonghyuk worked as a hunter and bodyguard. They lived happy peaceful lives with no problems.
Well there was one problem.
“Joonghyuk stop biting my tail!” Kim Dokja screeched. Hissing as he snatched his tail back from his rebuked droopy eared mate. Joonghyuk at least had the decency to look ashamed.
Joonghyuk was more attuned to his instincts than most people, most likely due to his strong bloodline and strength. As a result of that, sometimes his wires got crossed and the hunger and desire for Dokja’s body got mixed up with physical hunger signals in his brain. For some reason this resulted in an obsession with biting Dokja’s fluffy red fox tail.
It was just so cute and poofy, and the fur was such a pretty deep auburn, and way Kim Dokja was always moving it around was just simply too enticing. He needed to bite it.
Kim Dokja sighed deeply while rubbing his abused tail. “If you want to have sex just tell me instead of biting my tail. I would prefer you bite places that’s aren’t so sensitive.”
Joonghyuk’s ears perked up. “Okay.”
Dokja quickly whipped around and tried to place his hands out to stop the strong muscled body of his mate trying to pin him to the ground. “Wait! No! You stupid wolf, that wasn’t an invitation—“
A few hours later, a thoroughly marked and mated Kim Dokja lay in bed wrapped up in the arms of his happy rumbling mate, listening to each loud happy thump of Joonghyuk’s tail.
“Stupid mutt.” Dokja huffed.
He tilted his head up and glanced at his handsome mate giving him sad puppy eyes.
Kim Dokja was a weak man.
“Handsome mutt.”
He felt Joonghyuk’s smirk has the wolf placed a kiss to crown of Dokja’s head.
