Work Text:
“Ena, I’m home!“ Akito called out to his older sister as he entered the living room.
He figured she wouldn’t hear him anyway since it was the time of night when she calls with her friends. He motioned behind him, letting in Touya, Kohane and An.
“Wow, Akito! Your house is nicer than I thought it’d be!” An was looking around, a look of genuine surprise on her face.
“The hell? Do you think I live like a caveman or something!?” Akito sneered. “Well, you kinda act like it-“
Suddenly, Akito’s hand was on the top of An’s head, ruffling her hair. The other was wrapped around her waist, not letting her escape. “You wanna say that again!?”
“Akito!!” An struggled at first, but then just began laughing. Touya and Kohane stood to the side as this happened, snickering. “She’s not too far off, Akito.” Touya spoke up.
Akito stopped, looking up at Touya. “Ohh…I see how it is..” He released An, and she ran over to Kohane for “safety.” Akito turned to Touya, raising his hands in a creepy fashion. “You asked for it.”
As Touya realized what Akito was about to do, he tried to run. “Wait- Akito, no!” Akito grabbed Touya by the waist, pulling him back. He rested his head on Touya’s shoulder. “What? I’m not doing anything bad.”
Touya had a sigh of relief before he felt Akito slightly shift, now only his hands on Touya’s waist. Akito leaned towards Touya’s ear, whispering. “Yet.” Touya felt Akito’s hands move, and he began tickling him. The moment he did, his knees immediately buckled, falling to the floor.
“Ah- Akito!”
“This is your punishment!” Akito giggled, continuing his assault.
“S-Stop! Akito-“ Touya squirmed, trying to get Akito off of him. He was laughing, though. “K-Kohane, An- Help!!”
“Don’t call for help!” Akito laughed, slowing down his attack as An and Kohane came over to pull him off. “Akito, you know how weak Touya is to tickling. That was unfair.” Kohane sighed.
Akito reached down to pull Touya back up. He looked over to Kohane. “Don’t make me get you too.”
Kohane’s eyes widened, and she backed away. “You wouldn’t…”
“Oh, I would.” Akito took a step towards Kohane, then ran straight for her. He caught her, wrapping his arms around her waist and picking her up. He spun her around once or twice before placing her back on the floor.
As she was placed back down, she was giggling. “That was fun!”
“Oh, so you pick Kohane up and spin her around, but you trap me and Touya and torture us?” An asked, sarcasm dripping off her voice.
“What would I even threaten her with? She has a pet snake, for god’s sake.”
An shuddered at the mention of Count Pearl. “Okay, fair.”
Touya moved over to Kohane, making sure she was ok and wasn’t dizzy. She giggled, poking fun at the fact that Touya was worried about her over that. “I’m fine, Touya. It was just a little spin.”
“I know, but any time Akito does that to me, I get dizzy. So I wanted to make sure.” Kohane reached up and pat the top of Touya’s head, and he leaned into it. “Thank you.” She gave him a kiss on the cheek.
“Hey, lovebirds!” An called over from the kitchen where her and Akito had moved to. “Come help us make some dessert!”
“Okay, coming!” Kohane called back. She and Touya made their way to the kitchen, dropping off their stuff on the couch.
“Okay so-“ Akito looked at the three of them, standing in a line waiting for his direction. “None of you touch anything unless I tell you to. I will cook, you guys just need to get me the ingredients.”
The three nodded like they were in the military, An even saluting to him. Akito scoffed, pulling out a cookie sheet. “An, go get the dough.”
“Yes sir!” She giggled, walking over to the fridge and pulling it open. As she did that, Akito had Kohane grab the wax paper and Touya grabbed a spoon. Akito chuckled at the fact that they were all so ready to be his little assistants. He made snacks for them all the time, but this was the first time they got to help him.
He would let them actually do stuff, but he doesn’t want his house burning down.
He began making the cookies on his own, but after a while the others began to help him anyway. After Akito had put the last batch in the over, he got a puff of flour in his face, thrown by An. It turned into a full out flour war, and by the end of it then and the whole kitchen were covered in the white powder.
They were all laughing so much they didn’t even notice Ena standing horrified at the bottom of the stairs.
“What the hell are you guys doing!?”
They all stopped, immediately turning to Ena. “Ena? I thought you were talking to your friends!?” Akito got up, spreading even more flour everywhere.
“I was, but you guys were so loud I could hear you though my headphones.” She placed her hand on her hip. “Now, why the hell is the whole kitchen covered in flour?”
“Um…” Akito looked at the others, now standing awkwardly behind him. “We we’re making cookies and…got a little distracted.” He waved his hand. “Don’t worry, we’ll clean it up before Dad comes home.”
Ena huffed. “You better.” She peered behind him. “Who’re the girls? I didn’t know you had friends other than Touya.”
Akito was about to speak, but An intercepted him. “Hey, my name’s An Shiraishi! It’s nice to meet you, big sis!”
Akito’s eyes widened along with Ena’s.
“Big sis?”
An got dragged back by Akito, hiding her behind him. “Aha- Don’t mind her. She’s a little crazy.”
“What the hell, Akito!?” An wiggled her way out of Akito’s grasp, going back to Touya for protection. Kohane stepped up, slipping her hand between Akito’s.
“I’m Kohane Azusawa. It’s nice to meet you.” She bowed, smiling softly at Ena.
“Uh huh…..I’m sorry- I’m still confused by the big sis thing.” Ena waved her hands in front of her, shaking her head. “Are you guys that close?”
Akito stuttered, hesitating. “U-Um….” He looked back at the trio, sighing. “Yeah, actually…they’re my partners.”
Ena paused. “Your partners?”
“Yes. As in..romantic partners.” Akito tensed up, praying to god Ena wouldn’t freak out or something.
“Oh.” Ena’s expression was unreadable for maybe two seconds until she smiled, giggling. “Never expected my little brother to get a significant other, let alone three.”
“The hell!?” Akito felt like he just got stabbed in the heart, but then he felt a hand on his shoulder.
Ena wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pulled him into a hug. “I’m happy for you.”
Akito froze, not knowing how to respond or what to do. He felt his eyes glazing over, but he forced himself not to cry.
“…Thanks.” A small smile painted his face as he melted into the hug, only lasting another couple seconds.
Ena let go, moving back. She snickered, the turned to the stairs. “Make sure to clean up!”
The other three responded for Akito. “We will!” They waited for a second before they all piled onto Akito, smothering him with hugs and kisses.
“Guys, stop-“ Akito weakly pushed them back, barely even trying. He felt the tears run down his face, but he didn’t wipe them away. He didn’t hide them.
He smiled, falling to the ground, his lovers falling with him. They whispered words of comfort, giggling alongside each other. After a small moment of silence, Akito wiped his tears and leaned back into Touya, who was right behind him. He reached around for An and Kohane who were hugging him from the sides.
“Thanks, guys.”
They all gave him one last squeeze before letting go. Kohane was the first to get up, reaching down to help Akito up. An and Touya helped each other up, An giggling the whole time and teasing Touya for being like a “prince”.
“Okay, we should probably start cleaning.” Kohane chuckled, brushing off the excess flour from her clothes.
“..Let’s change first.” Akito pushed the girls into their guest room and tossed them their stuff. Akito and Touya went to his room.
“You got your stuff?” Akito asked Touya as he pulled out a white tank top from one of his drawers.
“I didn’t think to bring a change of clothes.” Touya gave Akito an apologetic look.
“It’s alright. You can borrow some of my clothes.” Akito chuckled.
“Thank you.” Touya sighed then smiled, laying back on Akito’s bed as he found some clothes that would fit him.
“You’re so lucky most of my t-shirts are oversized.” Touya felt a soft plop of fabric on his torso. He sat up, taking the shirt and pants off of his chest and to the side of him.
He looked up to see Akito taking off his hoodie, his bare chest underneath. “Sometimes I forget how toned you are.” Touya chuckled.
Akito flared up, grumbling. “Don’t stare, that’s embarrassing.”
Touya got up from his spot on the bed and wrapped his arms around Akito’s bare waist. He rested his head on his shoulder, his pale blue hair tickling the side of Akito’s face.
“Touya..” Akito leaned into the hug, placing his hands on top of Touya’s. “Are you alright?”
“Yeah.” Touya responded softly. He placed a kiss to the space between Akito’s neck and shoulder, then let go.
The moment Touya pulled away, Akito missed the warmth that Touya gave him. He turned to Touya as he finished changing his shirt, and returned the hug that he gave him.
“Akito? What’s wrong?” Touya placed a hand on top of Akito’s head as they hugged.
“I just wanted to return the hug you gave me.” Akito snuggled his face into the crook of Touya’s neck. He smelt like flour, but that didn’t deter him. Touya chuckled, running his finger through Akito’s hair.
“You sure you’re ok?”
“Mhm.” Akito looked up at Touya and gave him a soft smile. For a second, they just sat and stared at each other until Akito leaned in.
It was only a couple seconds, but it felt like hours. Every time he had a moment like this with one of his partners, he never wanted it to end.
They sat there for another minute or two before they heard An calling their names and banging on the door. “Are you guys done yet!? Please don’t tell me you’re making out in there or something!”
“We’ll be out in a second!” Akito yelled back. He reluctantly peeled himself away from Touya and finished changing.
Opening the door, he saw An and Kohane already starting to clean. They quickly joined them, grabbing some paper towels and gloves.
After cleaning every last spot in the kitchen, the four looked at their work.
“Finally! Nice and clean.” An huffed, arms sore from scrubbing the counters.
“What now?” Kohane interjected, taking off her soaked gloves and tossing them in the trash, along with the mound of paper towels she used.
The four looked at each other for a minute before they all spoke in unison.
“Movie?”
-
After setting up a bunch of blankets onto the couch, the four settled down to watch a movie.
“Okay…” Akito grabbed the remote, bringing up a streaming service. “What movie should we watch?”
“We should watch a scary movie!” Kohane piped up, and Touya nodded along with her.
“Hell no.” An and Akito responded in unison. An began to speak, but then stopped. “What‘s up, An?”
“I had an idea but I know you won’t want to do it.” An pouted. Akito sighed, nodding his head. “Just say it.”
“I really wanna watch A Dog’s Life.”
“Absolutely not.”
“Oh c’mon!” An whined. “It’s not like the dog is gonna jump out at you and bite your face off!”
“No. I regret ever telling you why I don’t like dogs.” Akito growled. “Does anyone have any better ideas?”
Touya perked up. “Why don’t we play a game instead? Since we can’t seem to decide on a movie.” Akito and An immediately lit up at the suggestion.
“We’ll all take turns playing games of our choice until we get bored, ok?” Kohane suggested. “That way we all have fun!”
Everyone agreed and began setting up to play. Akito grabbed his switch and set it up to the TV. They ended up playing rock paper scissors to figure out what order they’d play in. An ended up winning, then Touya, Kohane and finally Akito.
An sifted through the games that Akito had on his switch and settled on Smash Ultimate. She challenged Touya first and lost miserably, but then Touya decided to challenge Kohane and the match went on for forever. Akito ended up going against An, and she was so ecstatic when she won.
They moved on to Touya’s game, where they played Splatoon. He went for 3 rounds until he lost because of a disconnect, and then Kohane and An failed miserably their first rounds, having never played before. Akito surprisingly lasted a whole 4 rounds before getting his ass beat by a group of pros who were matching up.
They moved onto Kohane, who chose Just Dance. Touya dreaded it, since he wasn’t super athletic, but they promised they wouldn’t play super hard songs. Kohane chose Firework by Katy Perry first. After the first song, Touya immediately sat down, saying that he felt like he was going to die. An joined him, feeling defeated when the song ended because Akito beat her by a mile. Kohane and Akito went at it for a couple more songs, both of them getting way more into it than they expected to.
After the last song, Kohane and Akito noticed that An and Touya had fallen asleep on the couch. Kohane chuckled as she kissed both of them on the forehead and went to grab a drink of water. Akito was tired, but not tired enough to fall asleep, so he sat on the end of the couch as he booted up his last game.
Akito’s little avatar popped up, waving to him from above. He decided to continue his island on Animal Crossing, since the other two were asleep and Akito had nothing better to do. Kohane came back with a bottle of water for Akito as well, and sat beside him as he continued the game.
“Your character is cute. I like the outfit.” Kohane giggled as she leaned her head on Akito’s shoulder. Akito hesitated before he spoke. “I have versions of all of you. In case you guys were to ever play.”
“Really? Can I see?” Kohane’s face lit up at the idea, and Akito chuckled, ruffling her hair. “Of course.”
He went over to his closet and changed into An’s avatar. “This is An’s. I chose the hat because I thought it fit the aesthetic of the house I built for her.”
“You built us houses too?” Kohane teased. “…Yeah. I did.” Akito blushed, trying to focus on the game.
He continued onto Touya’s explaining his reasoning for his outfit as well. Then he moved onto Kohane’s. “I thought this was something that you’d wear in real life..and I thought it would look cute.”
“Aw, Akito..” Kohane smiled, repositioning herself and wrapping her arms around Akito’s waist. “You’re very sweet when you want to be.” She looked up at him, a dust of pink across her cheeks.
“Yeah, yeah.” He chuckled, leaning forward and pressing their foreheads together. He’s stopped playing the game by this point, and is now focused on the warmth emitting from Kohane. He wraps his arms around her, pulling her into a tight hug. After a few seconds, he pulls back and gives her a chaste kiss on the lips which doesn’t last long.
They stay there for a few moments before Akito feels Kohane drift off to sleep. He slowly lays her back down on the couch, making sure not to wake her up. She ends up naturally cuddling into Touya’s side, and she fits like a puzzle piece.
He watched them for a second, mesmerized by their soft breathing and expressions. He smiled, giving all of them a kiss on the forehead before making his way to his room.
He made sure to shut the door quietly, and sat on his bed. He wasn’t tired. If he was, he would’ve passed out back on the couch with his partners.
He replayed the moment he had with his sister in his head. It wasn’t bad. It didn’t upset him or make him feel uncomfortable. In fact, it was pretty much the opposite. He felt a faint warmth creep up his spine as he replayed the memory, and his eyes glazed over.
He wanted to stop the tears for a second, but decided to let them fall. They weren’t bad tears at all, so why hold them back. He smiled as he felt the salty water drip down his cheeks.
“..Akito?”
He was so consumed by his own thoughts that he hadn’t even noticed An standing in his doorway.
“Ah-“ Akito quickly wiped his tears. “I thought you were asleep.”
An moved into the room, softly closing the door behind her. She sat to the side of Akito, on his bed. “I heard your door closing, so it woke me up.”
“Are the others awake too?”
“No.” She smiled. “Just me.”
He sighed, relieved. He would feel terrible if he had woken them all up, but if it was just An, it was ok.
“So, do you wanna tell me why you were crying?”
And there she goes. “I’m fine. It wasn’t anything bad.” Akito huffed.
“Was it about what happened with Ena earlier?” An placed a hand on Akito’s back. If you had told them a year ago that they would be close enough to comfort each other, they’d think you were lying.
“Yeah. I don’t know why I’m crying about it, to be honest.” Akito confessed.
“It’s okay. I don’t know the reason half the times I cry.” An chuckled.
She leaned over, resting her head on his shoulder. Akito leaned into her, doing the same. “I don’t know….I guess I’m relieved?” He sighed. “I mean, I didn’t think she would be upset, I just…”
“Was scared?”
An looked up at Akito as he chuckled.
“Yeah.”
An smiled, bringing her hand up to the back of his head and ruffling his hair. “It’s ok to be scared.” She began running her fingers through it. “The good part is, you don’t have to hide us from her anymore.” She chuckled.
“Yeah, you’re right.” Akito smiled. He stared at his hands for a moment of silence before he felt a kiss on his cheek. His face flared up and he turned to An, who was giggling. “You can’t just-“
“Oh, but I can~”
“You little-“ Akito tackled her, pinning her to the bed as she squirmed around to try and get out of his grasp. “Akito!”
“Just a little payback.” He began peppering her face with kisses, barely even giving her time to register what was happening. She just kept laughing until Akito shut her up with a kiss, placing his hands on her cheeks after letting go of her wrists.
As he pulled away, he plopped down onto An. “Thanks.”
An smiled, ruffling his hair one last time. “No problem. Now get off, you’re suffocating me.” She pushed Akito off, taking a huge breath once he finally got up. He reached forward, allowing An to grab his hand and pulled her up.
As they turned to the door, they noticed Touya and Kohane standing in the doorway.
“How long have you been standing there!?” An hissed. Her face began heating up from embarrassment.
“Not long. We heard you giggling and it woke us up, so we figured we’d come check out what was going on.” Touya explained.
“Good lord, guys.” Akito sighed, then chuckled. “Just…come in here.”
He sat down on his bed and pat the sides, motioning for the three to sit down with him. “How about we sleep here tonight? It’s big enough for us all to fit.”
The three estatically nodded, immediately pulling Akito down with them as they joined him on the bed.
They all snuggled up together, making sure everyone had enough room to be comfortable.
After a couple seconds of silence, Akito smiled. “Thanks, guys.”
He didn’t hear a response from any of them, so he assumed they all fell asleep immediately. He made sure to kiss them all on the forehead one last time before finally cuddling up to sleep.
In the softest voice he could muster, Akito whispered.
“I love you guys.”
