Work Text:
Her rich scarlet hair was long, flowing down her perfectly arched back as she called out to her from her own world. The air around went silent as with one glance, You was enchanted.
Nearly every curve of hers exposed, only barely hidden behind the few stray strands that acted as a curtain to shield the innocent. Her skin was pale, putting the freshly fallen snow outside to shame.
You’s eyes stayed glued to her figure, climbing it’s way up inch by inch.
Never had she seen a girl like her, and never did she want another.
Her red hair lit the flames of You’s heart ablaze with even the simplest push back of her fingers. Her amber eyes drew her in like the smell of fresh coffee in the morning.
Her smile was gentle, and her whispers barely reached even the ears of the focused. Voices were muffled around, but You couldn’t care less about their meaningless words. Not when the square screen in front of her showed her a girl who looked as if she belonged in a fairytale.
Planting the warmth into You’s heart, the girl made her mark. The grace at which she’d playfully retreat back made You want more. And with her child-like tease, the desire only grew.
Fixated on her each night and every early morning, You yearned to see her again. She ran circles in You’s mind, yet never did she even speak a word to her. Like an early morning’s mist, she drew in closer yet stayed carefully hidden between the static of their own worlds.
She didn’t simply grace one, but many of You’s sights. She was in everything. On her way through daily life, You was always filled with energy as she saw her from the highest heights to the small views.
And soon enough, a name was given to the scarlet angel. Only by pure chance did You stumble upon it.
A beautiful girl called Riko, living in the world at the exact same time as You. Never had she felt so lucky of the smallest fact.
Though it seemed strange, as did many things You did, she couldn’t help but associate Riko with just about anything.
The intoxicating aroma of the morning showers to the fawns leaping across the horizons after each long day, until those things couldn’t even describe her any longer. From what was real, to something of an ethereal light shined up above, she took many forms.
A fairy was a frequent depiction of her in You’s mind. A mythical creature that only children believed in. One that would prance upon the flowers and sing with the birds in the trees, yet flee when another attempted to view it. It was perfect. Riko made You believe when her gaze locked onto her.
In her mind, Riko was on a constant loop. You dreamed of her voice, what it would sound like as it called to her. Her skin, what it would feel like beneath her fingertips.
Each night, You found herself surrounded by her, the fragrance of her shampoo lulled You into a daze. The steam of water clouded her sight as her mind envisioned the fantasies of her beauty.
The frustration from a constant working life washed away when she was on her mind. The despair of an ongoing loop faded with just the thought of her touch.
As her heated breaths of the night blurred the lines of reality, You’s mind always slipped back to her.
It was love, and from that moment on, You promised to hold onto her forever and always.
Through her screen, she was You’s and You was hers.
Her one and only, fairy of shampoo.
