Endless blue.
Thats all she could see the more she gazed out. She tried to breathe but no air could enter her lungs. She feels as if she’s been floating for what feels like a eternity, not knowing which way is up and which way is down. Tattered white cloth surrounded her as strips of the dress she was wearing began to unravel. She should have just stayed. Why did she think she could make any attempt to leave?
Now she she was, most likely never to see those she cared about again. What a stupid and foolish choice she made, trusting him like that. Letting him persuade her that she was worth more than what she was. A item on a shelf to be observed, adored, and nothing more. Stupid, stupid little girl. Her vision begins to darken as water began to fill her lungs, and as her consciousness begins to dim she asks herself:
“Please… let him be safe…”

“I’m so hungry” Luffy grumbled as he laid on the ship deck of the Going Merry. “Any fish yet?”
“Luffy, the more you ask, the longer it’s going to take” Usopp snapped back. He had been sitting on the railing for hours now, yet not a single bite or nibble has happened.
“Then make it take less time” Luffy whined, flipping over to his stomach.
Nami sighed “We really need a chef, don’t we?” Nami looked over to the green headed pirate hunter only to find him sleeping away in one of his newly claimed spots of the ship. How the heck did she end up surrounded by idiots? She sighed once more before hearing a hard thud against the side of the ship.
“Huh?”
“What is it Nami?” asked Usopp.
“Did you hear that?”
“Hear what?”
“Did you hear food?” asked Luffy, perking up his head like an excited puppy. Two giant welts formed on top of Luffy’s head after Nani’s trademark treatment.
“Ow! Whatcha do that for?” Luffy complained, rubbing his head.
Nami ignored Luffy’s complaint and walked over to the side of the ship where she heard the noise. She peered over the railing to find a floating barrel covered in algae and barnacles.
“What the-“
“Did you find something?” Zoro said appearing behind Nami, startling her.
“Jeez, don’t sneak up on me like that” Nami said, gripping the railing.
“What’s that down there?” Zoro asked, pointing down at the barrel
“You found somthing?” asked Usopp as he carried his fishing pole over.
“Usopp! You know how important and amazing you are right? Nami said, snuggling up to Usopp who became a stuttering mess.
“H-h-hey! Quit it! I know you just want want something so spit it out!” Usopp said, trying to put some distance between the ginger and himself. Zoro groaned at the obvious plan Nami had in store.
“Could you be super helpful and get that barrel out of the water for me?” Nami asked Usopp, fluttering her eyelashes for extra emphasis.
“Barrel? Is there something in it? asked Usopp as he leaned over to get a look at the object in question.
“I don’t know, but I want to check”
“THERE COULD BE FOOD IN THERE!” Luffy screamed as he dove over the ship towards the barrel.
“LUFFY! NO!” The three other straw hats screamed as they saw their captain dive into the water. After several attempts and one drowned captain rescuing, both the barrel and Luffy were safely on the Going Merry.
“What do you think is in it?” asked Usopp as he continued to pump water out of his captain. “I hope it’s not going to explode”
“I hope it’s booze” Zoro stated
“IS BOOZE AND FIGHTING ALL YOU THINK ABOUT IN THAT EMPTY HEAD OF YOURS?” yelled Nami, getting in Zoro’s face
“SAYS THE ONE WHO ONLY THINKS OF TREASURE AND CLOTHES” yelled back Zoro. Nami was about to reply with another quip at Zoro when Luffy sprung back awake, knocking Usopp down.
“DID WE GET THE FOOD?!?” asked Luffy, looking around the ship.
“Calm down you idiot, the barrel is right there” Zoro said, motioning towards the barrel.
“We have the barrel now but there’s no telling what’s inside, so don’t you go-“ before Nami could finish her sentence Luffy stretched his arms and flung himself into the barrel, sending wooden shards everywhere.
“WE’RE GOING TO DIE!” yelled Usopp as he proceeded to brace for impact, getting down to the ground and covering his head with his hands. Zoro and Nami shielded their faces from the on coming debris.
Luffy managed to grab whatever was inside the barrel as he crashed though and landed on it, tumbling into the back of the going merry’s figure head.
“Ouch… that hurt… At least the food feels nice and soft” Luffy said, squeezing the aforementioned food.
Usopp opened one of his eyes, peaking though his fingers to check to see what was going on only for his breath to be taken away.
“L-L-Luffy w—hat are you d-doing?” Usopp stuttered, quickly standing back up. The other two straw hat crew members looked over to see their captain was now on top of a unconscious women with (h/l) (h/c) hair. Luffy having not noticed was continuing to grip and squeeze the women’s chest and snickering to himself.
“I wonder what kind of food this is?” He wondered outloud.
“LUFFY YOU PERVERT!” Nami screamed as she ran over and smacked Luffy upside the head.
“OW! Why did you hit me again?!? I was going to share!” Luffy said, now nursing the newly added welts to his previous welts. Today was just not his day with Nami around.
“S-s-share!?! Luffy, I’m not that kind of woman!” Nami replied, blushing at the comment.
“Well more for me then” Luffy turned back to his food when he finally noticed that there was no food in front of him, but in fact it was only a women. Luffy took a moment of silence to process this new knowledge, then proceeded to shake the women around like a rag doll.
“HEY LADY! WHAT DID YOU DO WITH MY FOOD?!?” yelled Luffy as he shook her.
“Oi! Stop that! Your giving me a headache with all the yelling today” Zoro complained, glancing a curious gaze at the remains of the barrel.
”LUFFY YOUR GOING TO KILL HER AT THIS RATE! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG SHE HAS BEEN IN THERE!” Usopp said, pushing Luffy out of the way.
“You really think she could be alive?” Nami asked “She could have been floating out there for who knows how long. We should throw her back into the water since we don’t know who she is or where she is from.”
”Your just saying that because your upset there wasn’t any treasure in the barrel” Zoro said, receiving a sharp look from Nami.
As Usopp went to check on the women (with a very grumpy Luffy pouting in the background) the women began to stir and opened her (e/c) eyes. The women blinked at four strangers in front of her a few times.
”…hello?” (y/n) said cautiously, eyeing her new surroundings. The four straw hats gained a small blush on their faces, not use to hearing such a cute voice.
“Ah… hi?” Replied Usopp, who was very confused by the women's behavior to have just woken up in a strange place surrounded by strange people. If it were him he would have been running for the hills as soon as he woke up. In fact, right now he felt like running for some odd reason that he couldn’t place. The women proceeded to stand up with little effort, causing Zoro to grab his sword, preparing for whatever this women had in store.
”Hey lady! You got any food?” Asked Luffy, in which he revived his third beating of the day, this time from usopp.
”CAN’T YOU SEE WE GOT BIGGER THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT THAN FOOD?” Yelled Ussop
”Owww! You guys are really mean today!” Cried Luffy, as now his entire face was beginning to swell from the repeated abuse.
”Then stop being a idiot for once!” Nami said, then turned her attention back on the new guest on the ship, eyeing her up. “Weird.” Thought Nami “Compared to how old the barrel looked and the rags she is wearing, her body looks to be in great shape…”realizing that the unknown women was staring at her, she quickly shook off the thought so as to seem like like wasn’t just checking her out and walked towards her.
”You holding up ok?” Asked Nami “How long we’re you stuck in the barrel?”
”What barrel?” (y/n) asked, looking around “Ah! What happens to my clothes?!?” (y/n) proceeded to try and cover herself with her arms with little success as the rags that were only being held together by a few strings and the sheer will of some type of deity.
”Answer the question women” Zoro said, beginning to pull his swords from his sheaths.
”WOULD YOU CUT THAT OUT! YOUR GOING TO GIVE THE POOR GIRL A HEART ATTACK!” screamed out Usopp
“So Nami gets to be cautious but I can’t?!?” Yelled back Zoro, who was getting real tired of all of this.
”Hey lady! What’s your name?”Luffy asked. (Y/n) stoped fussing with her clothes and looked up Luffy. A rather long moment of pause occurred at the crew waited for the women to reply.
”…I think it’s (y/n)…. but I’m not 100% confident if that’s my name”
“What do you mean by that?” asked Nami. Another moment of pause occurred, causing Zoro to let out a yawn.
”Can you please for 5 minutes not be annoying?” Nami said, gritting her teeth.
”Well it’s not my fault that this is taking too long and I was woken from rather nice nap” Zoro snapped back. (Y/n) looked between the two in confusion.
”Ignore them, they do that a lot” Usopp sighed, rubbing the back of his head and leading (Y/n) away from the incoming argument by her waist. “As captain of this ship I really gotta teach them to mind their manners in the presents of a new arrival. Anyway my name is Captain Usopp and I-“ This time Usopp was the one with the growing welt on his head, as Luffy smacked Usopp over his head with one of his stretchy limbs.
“What the-?!?” (Y/n ) said, startled by the sudden violence.
”I TOLD YOU TO QUIT LYING ABOUT THAT!” Luffy yelled at the now near unconscious Usopp. “I’M THE CAPTAIN OF THIS PIRATE CREW AND THATS FINAL!”
”…Pirates?” (Y/n) said confused, tilting her head to side a bit.
”Yeah! This is our pirate ship your standing on! The Going Merry!” Luffy said as he returned his arm to its normal length, giving a big grin at his annocement.
”How did you do that?” Asked (Y/n)
”Do what?” Asked Luffy, now tiling his head in a similar manor that (Y/n) had done moments prior. “Oh! You mean this?” He stretched his arm up to the banister and lifted himself up on top of the ship. “I’m a rubber man!”
“A man… made of rubber?” Steam could be seen pouring from (Y/n) as she tried to absorb all the new information she has just received.
”Don’t worry about it too much” Nami said, now walking over towards the confused (Y/n) “It startled me the first time I saw him do that”
”So are you going to tell us about yourself or what?” Zoro said as he accidentally stepped on the injured Usopp, causing him to cry out.
”Well, let me think for a moment…besides my name… I have no idea who I am”
