Over again

Summary:

Everyone has a hero. Kisaki's hero is a bit unusual

But so is he.

Notes:

A sequel to PUPPY LOVE. I recommend reading that for contexts. But can this be read on it's own.

Work Text:

Everyone's hero is different.

Be it a man within an iron suit, a vigilante that don't think of himself as a hero, a woman with a heart of gold even with a troubling upbringing. A man with a shield, a huge monster, a hero that is faster than the speed of sound, or even a caped, bald man that can defeat villains with a single punch.

Whatever hero people chooses, they are either steong-willed person that packs quite a punch. A person that don't break down when faced with a serious dilemma.

A strong, powerful super human.

But Kisaki's hero is different.

His hero is not as brave or even strong like the others. His emotions took over him before anything else. A crybaby that will step in without thinking, getting beaten up instead.

A weak sensitive child.

He is Kisaki's hero, Hanagaki Takemichi.

A kid that he didn't care about until he gets to know the self proclaimed hero.

His smile so bright and eyes so clear.

And so, so beautiful...

He didn't understand why he is so affected to a person that chases trouble. A type of person that Kisaki usually always steers clear from.

Badly wrapped bandages all around his body. His hair is styled so...trouble-maker like? So loud and mmessy. And Kisaki begs the question, he can he maintain his prettiness he always seems to have?

Is that why he is so attracted?(is "attracted" even the right word?) Because he is pretty?

But even if he thinks it's shallow, he can't help but feel like it is part of the reason why he felt so attached, so connected.

He felt so weird at first. So new to the feelings that it scared him.

It started to freak him out that he tried to avoid the kid as much a possible.

He felt so... ALIVE, it's so scary and weird. His heart drumming inside his chest that he felt its going to burst in any second, the moment he is NEAR the brunette.

He didn't even know him. And yet, he felt that he did.

So strange, so SO strange.

But the more he started to distance himself, the more thoughts of him, to see him

It's bearable at first, his train of thoughts consisted only of the anxiety and the oddness of the situation. But more days passed and the thoughts starts to become something more.

Well, it started from curiosity and then it's becoming something more.

Something dangerous perhaps? That he didn't know.

ANd he did not like it, not at all.

It gets to a point he started to shake in panic. And it lead to a point, that he starts to get desperate.

"Hi..."

"Oh hi! What's you're name?"

"Kisaki Tetta... You are Takemichi right?"

"Yeah, you are Hina's friend right?"

"L-let's be friends..."

"Yeah let's!"

He was...surprisingly friendly than he initially thought.

Sure he is indeed loud just like he thought. But he was far from the person that seeks trouble. Oh no, he is quite the opposite because it's the other way around.

To put it simply, trouble seeks him instead.

He always talks about the time where someone is being bullied, he stepped up and save the day.

Except, it wasn't all that simple.

He gets beaten up instead. He can't fight back, usually his opponents are way taller, older, and stronger than him. But that did to deter him. He will try and fight back, knowing full well that he can't.

Kisaki was never been that impressed by his "heroic acts."

But when the tables have turned, when he was the one in that helpless state. Being the pinnacle of of bullying because he looks like a nerd. He could not protect himself, because he is weak.

And there was Takemichi, being as weak as him(if not weaker) tried to fight his bullies. He felt so warm, so protected, so happy...

EVen if he hurt himself, he did not care if he was weak, or scared, or doubtful, he did it anyway. He fights. Because he wanted to save someone.

HIM

And he stared at the beaten up, shakingly standing up and asking Kisaki if he was hurt. Silly Takemichi...

HE was quick to go near the bright boy and look at his wounds whilst the said boy is left staring, confused.

"Are...are you alright?"

"Huh? Oh! I am completely fine! Ho about you, they didn't hurt you that badly?"

Kisaki furrowed his eyebrows.

"You're more hurt than I am though..."

"I am fine as long as you're fine!"

And then, he smiled..

And it makes Kisaki's heartbeat to skip a little. But for some reason,he felt some sort of delay vu.

But the other part of him, it make him feel...dread? Huh?

It's like some part of him is in denial, afraid to show how he felt. Afraid to show the fact that he liked Takemichi.

It's weird...

At some point, he started to...hate Takemichi.

But why?

He didn't want to, he didn't want to hate the only person that seems so excited to see him everyday. So WHY.

It's so weird..

Though, despite all of that, he still kept hanging out with Takemich. Because it's fun being with him. There are not a single moment with Takemichi that he have feel boring or awkward.

Why then, did he have a sense that he dislikes this beautiful person? And why does he feel that it is the same reason why he likes Takemichi.

What is wrong with him?

Kisaki woke up in cold sweat, feeling like he got thrown into a big pool of water and drowned. He looms around the pitch black void.

Breathing heavily, he stands up, his legs feeling like noodles. There is nothing he can see. But when he at his trembling hands, he appears to not surrounded by darkness. He can still see how tan his skin is, and how it looks so pale.

"Who are you."

He gasps as he whipped his head to find an older individual who kind of looks like him. They have the same lavender eyes yet it reflects a completely different persona. His glasses, and their facial features is unmistakably similar.

But that's not him, it can't be him.

"My name is Kisaki Tetta."

He hears the older man click his tounge and averted his gaze away from him.

"I fucking knew it." He mumbled, irritated.

He turned to him again.

"Listen here, brat, I am you, you are me. Got it?"

Well, he figured that's the case. But he can tell something is off.

Not only because of the bleached hair eerily similarly styled like Takemichi's(Did he become a delinquent all along OT did he just wanted to Takemichi so bad?)

He doesn't like him- no, he hates him.

HE didn't know who he became when he's older, but he's not sure that he likes it.

But somehow, he expected himself to be like this exact person in front of him when he gets older.

So bitter, not nervous but prideful. He expected himself to turn out like this. A manipulative, bitter man.

That wa before he met Takemichi.

"So you knew Takemitchy huh."

When he heard the nickname, he suddenly felt something stuck in his throat that is threatening to be thrown up, when a certain blond haired and deep black eyes, as black as the endless void he was trapped in. He thinks he hates this nickname.

"I do, do you?"

His eyes narrowed in disdain.

"Yes, and I hate him. That crybaby... he ruined everything that we worked hard-"

"Excuse me, we?"

He looks confused at the younger's confusion.

"I get it now. You are the one implementing these horrible thoughts. You tried to tell me that I supposed to hate Michi. But guess what,'old me' , I don't. This is your loss and just get out of my head!"

The older on furrowed his eyebrows in both confusion and rage as he gripped his fist in anger. He started to go near the kid until he froze. Seemingly can no move. He settled to talking instead.

"I don't care whatever the fuck you are talking about. You wouldn't understand anyway. He took everything from me!"

"No, he doesn't. Why can't you just accept the fact that she didn't chose you?"

Surprisingly, Older Kisaki seems more amused than angry. A mocking laugh escaped his mouth. He have a bad feeling about this.

"Oh trust me, I am you and you are me. Whatever happens. We are the same."

The younger in turn gritted his teeth.

"No we are not! I wouldn't be like you, I'll make sure of that."

"... We'll see about that.."

He snapped open his eyes, he felt his whole body drenched in sweat as he quickly got out of bed and wash his face to the bathroom.

What happened? What did I just dream?

Clutching his head like it hurts. He somehow felt relieved.

But scared...

After the whole nightmare fiasco, something changes, and for the better he thinks. His feeling for Takemichi is becoming clear! The odd hatred he felt for the boy suddenly disappeared. He was delighted.

Now he can hangout with his favorite person without thinking of hurting him. It surprises him how violent his thoughts can be. It so scary.

But now, the unwanted feelings are now gone. And now he can truly appreciate how beautiful Takemichi can be.

How he acts isn't normal for a kid like him, but he can hardly care to acknowledge it. As long as he can see Takemichi he is more than content.

He is content, until...

"You're late," he filded his arms as he looks at the sheepish boy with his bright red cape.

"Sorry Kisaki, but I have a new friend! You are always my besfriend of course, but I have a new friend! He is so cool!"

While his bright sunny smile makes him happy. The fact that it is not because of him does not feel all that great.

His heart squeezes painfully inside his chest as he tries his hardest not to frown. Because Takemichi is happy. And that's all that matters.

But to him this time...It hurts. And he definitely did not like it.

"O-oh...That's great Takemichi. Say, can we go now? I promised I'll treat you ice cream this time." The said boy brightens even more.

Good, be happy for me...

"I want choco-mint!"

"Of course, anything you want.

"You're a hypocrite."

"Huh?"

He is here again, the black void, and the familiar older him. The bleached haired man.raised his eyebrow in confusion.

"Whatever do you mean."

"You know exactly what I mean. I know everything now, you are unconsciously controlling my subconscious by your own desires. The possessiveness, the jealousy L, the violent thoughts. It's all you, whether you realized it or not. You are attached to Takemichi, you're a liar."

The older of the two seems to be getting angrier. He grumbles as he glares at the unyielding brat. Which is him.

"And now I realized how right you are. We are the same. Because we are the only one person. We are one. I just have the obliviousness and innocence that you've lost along the dark path that you oath to obtain. I am your restart button. The second chance to make things right.
