Work Text:
Gui Rosey found himself waking just as Victor Bauer fell into bed. This had been their lives for the past few years, ever since Bauer had run face first into the strange poet.
“Good evening, mon lapin.” Rosey pulled him close and pressed his nose into Bauer’s shoulder. He could feel Bauer’s heartbeat through his skin, tempting him as it always did. Victor’s hands stroked across Rosey’s arms and shoulders as he settled into bed.
“Are you going out again?” He asked quietly. Rosey wasn’t so stupid as to assume Bauer didn’t know what he was doing with his evenings. He had never explicitly told Victor what he was, what he did , but he didn’t feel he had to.
“I have to.” He pressed a dry kiss to Victor’s warm skin. Victor grasped his face and raised his eyebrows gently.
“You don’t .” He kissed Rosey’s face softly. “I am right here.” His voice barely came out as a whisper. Rosey closed his eyes against the urge. “I am willing, and I am ready for you, my love.” His nose brushed against Rosey’s cheek. Rosey’s cold hands grasped at Bauer’s back, holding him tightly.
“I cannot do that to you . I cannot curse you.” His lips drifted to Bauer’s. “I have cared for you more than I have cared for anything in over a hundred years. I refuse to cut you short.” Victor bit down on Rosey’s lip rather hard making him jerk away. “Ow! Fuck, Victor.”
“I am asking you.” Victor took Rosey’s surprise to his advantage and pushed him onto his back. “I have told you nearly every day how much I ache to be like you. To be with you forever, and yet you refuse me.” He had sat himself on Rosey’s legs, leaning down to pin him by his shoulders with his hands.
“Victor. It is a horrible existence. You have to…” he frowned, suddenly having fear that his deeds truly were still shrouded.
“You have to kill, and feed, and you can’t die except under specific circumstances. I know , my Rose. I’ve seen you.” Victor knew Rosey could free himself from his grasp, though he already knew he wouldn’t. “I want to be with you. I do not fear killing, drinking blood, walking through time endlessly. I only fear you having to do it alone .”
“I have been alone. Over a hundred years. I cannot make you live like that.” Victor rolled his eyes again.
“Stop being dramatisch.” Victor raised his eyebrows. “It is simple.” He leaned down and kissed down the column of Rosey’s throat slowly. “Warm the area, prepare the skin.” He sucked at a spot on Rosey’s neck, knowing it would never show up.
“Lapin, it is not that easy.” Rosey frowned, feeling Victor move his whole body against him.
“Then you must break the skin.” He bit down, barely managing to draw blood. Rosey gasped, feeling Victor’s teeth scrape against his skin. “Then you must-“ Victor’s tongue had barely poked out of his mouth when Rosey forced him off.
“Victor.” He had Bauer pinned. The little drop of blood on his neck had dripped halfway down. “ Don’t do that.” He looked angry, far angrier than Victor ever remembered seeing him. “You are going to get yourself killed if you keep playing like this.”
“Good.” Victor snapped. “You tell me you love me, you tell me I’m important to you. Then prove it.” He pulled Rosey down and held his face to his neck. “ Take me .” Victor arched his body against Rosey’s, making him groan.
“It hurts, Victor.” Rosey pulled his face back, skimming his hand down to Victor’s hip to keep him still. “It hurts forever and there’s nothing you can do to ease the hurt. Forget the killing! Forget the blood! Fuck all of that, it hurts . I can’t hurt you.” Victor’s face softened momentarily.
“Guillaume, look me in the eyes. I know .” He placed his hands on Rosey’s face and angled him to look at Victor. “ Please . Do it. Before I get any older, before I-.” His fingers had tangled into Rosey’s hair, pulling him to his lips. “ Please .” He muttered between kisses. Rosey’s hips stuttered forward, pressing against Bauer’s as they kissed softly.
“Lapin.” Rosey dragged his nose down Victor’s jaw. He could feel Victor’s heartbeat again coupled with his soft pleas. Rosey closed his eyes and pressed a kiss to the base of his neck. He needed to feed. His mind was clouded with hunger, with lust, for the man in front of him. “Are you close?” He felt Victor’s movement speed up as he nodded.
Victor’s hands pulled at Rosey’s hair as he gasped and moaned into Rosey’s ear. His whimpers rose in pitch signaling to Rosey that it was now or never. He smoothed his tongue over the place he had been kissing as he reached down to wrap a tight hand around Victor’s erection. His teeth scraped over Victor’s pulse point, taking care to choose a place Victor can hide the marks. He tightened his grip and bared his teeth.
Victor’s mind blanked out, white as an unprepared canvas. He felt his orgasm flowing through him, while at the same time the feeling of being emptied. He convulsed against his will, feeling Rosey holding him down. He was terrified but he trusted Rosey. Just as the edges of his vision began to fade Rosey pulled away. He had blood on his face, Victor’s blood.
“Stay with me, mon amour.” Rosey whispered. He pulled away, using his own fang to break the skin of his wrist. “Drink.” He pressed the bleeding spot to Victor’s open mouth. Rosey leaned down to kiss Victor’s neck, gently lapping at the punctures he had left. Victor cringed at the taste of him at first, though the longer he sucked at the wound the better he felt.
Eventually Rosey pulled his arm away though he continued pressing kisses to Victor’s neck. Victor felt Rosey’s hands trace over his chest to feel his ribs expanding.
“I am still here.” Victor whispered. He didn’t seem to have much more energy than that. Rosey’s head dropped to hear Bauer’s slow heartbeat. He wrapped Bauer in his arms and closed his eyes.
“ Please do not be angry with me.” He whispered. Rosey wasn’t tired, he had only woken hours before, but he found himself falling asleep all the same. Bauer shivered in his arms, groaning softly at the ache in his bones.
