- Cassie and some events will change to fit in but I'll do my best to make sure Rick Riordan's work doesn't change too much.

Normality jumped out the window when a god crashed into the garbage can.

At first he didn't even look like a human being but more like a comet enveloped in fire falling to earth. And, surprise surprise, no other New York passer-by seemed to notice. Maybe even Cassie Williams wouldn't have noticed if she hadn't found herself sitting on the roof in a dilapidated building in Hell Kitchen, the less popular neighborhood in New York, writing in her friend's diary of her existence without. sense of her. At least there she had peace from her foster parents, the Parkers, who wouldn't bother her. Probably at the time Mrs. Parker was still begging the social workers with fake tears to free them from that "monster". After all, no one believed her, Never! Her parents hadn't listened to her when she begged them not to let her older brother out that night and hours later the police knocked on the door with the news that Ian and her friends had died returning from the party in a fight with a other machine. And no one believed her that she hadn't caused the school building to burn. Otherwise why would she pull the fire lever and get everyone out in time? A fortuitous joke? The principal might have believed it had it not been for Cassie to be a quiet and diligent student, with an average report card, and for the numerous notes of strange incidents on her school register. There was no evidence against her but she had been expelled in the trunk. The Parkers were furious. They had quarreled. Cassie had snapped. She'd left the shocked Parkers alone in their living room and climbed the fire escape onto the roof. An invitation to practically escape ... the 17-year-old seriously thought about taking her few things and hiding for the next seven months, seven days, and seven hours when she finally came of age she would be free. Too bad that her cops were always catching her and sending her back to Askaban, aka the orphanage ...

Cassie hated seven to death.
She was seven when she lost her her brother, her best friend, its still, on the seven day of the week of the seventh month at seven and seven minutes in the evening. Since then, her life had changed forever: her affectionate and playful father had turned into a ghost in her house, her mother who made her cookies every Saturday had found solace in alcohol. The house was neglected, the fridge empty. After Ian's funeral, her parents had locked her up in her room ignoring her cries and her pleas. Since Ian's death instead of love in their eyes there was only fear, hate and disgust… it's all because she had a flashback where she saw the accident and tried to stop Ian from dying. Seven were the weeks she'd spent alone in mourning before her parents dumped her at the orphanage. They didn't want a cursed daughter. And seven was the number of 'good' families before Cassie earned the title of "orphanage monster", shunned by children terrified of her and despised by social workers, and thus ended up among the last couples on the juvenile system blacklist.

And soon she would be kicked out again because no one wanted a monster like her!

Tears of anger dripped from her eyes but she chased them away furiously. She didn't ask for this curse! And she certainly couldn't ignore her visions of her and let people die if she could save them. If she had done that, all the people in high school wouldn't have come out of that hellish trap.
The flashback had happened in the sixth hour, in science class, as swift and sudden as ever. She was alone, no one wanted to get close to the "strange orphan". She had seen in the mind the janitor leave the cigarette butt burning next to flammable solvents, the flames devour the windows and doors blocking the exits, and the screams of the people trapped inside her. Jolting, the belatedly added spoonful of baking soda caused a small explosion in the lab. The professor was coming to her and scolding her, but Cassie rushed out of the classroom to sound the anti-Indian alarm. And there she was because she was now in that roof sitting on the cold floor.
A sharp flick of the closed diary, then slipping into her parka pocket, Cassie looked up at the gray January sky. And that's when she saw it. She jumped to her feet but not out of fear of dying. She knew from her flashback that she had had that morning, two visions of her in one day, a record for her too! Only it was too absurd for her to be true. For the first time she had thought it was a daydream. Instead as the 'meteorite' was falling the flames began to extinguish and drawing a human form. First her fingers, then her hands and arms. The lower part, the torso, the neck and then the curly head.
BAM!
The sound of a God landing in her garbage woke her up. Cassie moved before she could think about it. The Parkers were out, the first good news of that day. From under the bed she pulled out the most precious treasure she could, her brother Ian's sports bow. In the backpack she put some clothes and the pillowcase with the arrows and then put it on her shoulder. Out of the fire escape again she saw a curly-headed sixteen-seventeen-year-old boy fall on his face on the asphalt pushed by the hoodlum Cassie christened Red while her mate Blondie laughed. His blood was pouring from his nose copiously down from his pockmarked face.
"Hey you! Leave that loser. NOW!" she yelled pointing an arrow at the thugs.
