Chapter Text

The feelings sneak up on him.

He wasn't prepared for this. One day he feels angry at this blond kid for figuring how his quirk worked in the Yuuei Sports Festival, and then he felt like he might die if that kid ever looked his way again.

Of course Shouta knew what that meant. He wasn't as oblivious as his sister, Nemuri thinks. Of course this was hard to keep a secret from Nemuri, because eveytime the kid even came near him, his cheeks would blush and his hair would go wild.

Shouta hated his hair, it showed his emotions when he had no control. It was harder to mask them when the hair on your head shows your every feeling.

Well maybe he's being dramatic cause it isn't his every feeling. It's only the strong ones, but that sucked ass because this little crush he developed was definitely strong. For some fucking reason.

Shouta Aizawa had a crush, for not the first time in his life, and his sister will not shut up about it.

"Him? I mean come on, Shou! You guys are polar opposites, I would've thought you hated the guy!" Nemuri laughs loudly, while the two walk to school.

"Shut the fuck up! You don't need to shout," he pouted. She might as well go tell the whole world; Shouta Aizawa has a crush on Hizashi Yamada.

Now with the two of them being in the same class, Shouta sees Yamada a lot more, and his weird cloud friend.

Said cloud friend has, for some reason, made it his personal mission to become his friend. Shouta watches lazily as he bounces over.

"Hey Shouta buddy!" He smiled bright, sitting himself down in the chair next to him.

"Hm," Shouta hummed, returning to his sketchbook. Shouta enjoyed to draw; landscapes mostly, though he does draw people.

"How about you sit with Hizashi, Tensei and I at lunch!" Shirakumo question, leaning over to push Shouta's hair out of his eyes. Shouta couldn't help but flinch at the movement. If Shirakumo noticed, he didn't say anything.

Shouta was ashamed by how quickly that got his attention. As much as he hated the idea of people noticing him, of paying attention to him, he often found himself subconsciously trying to find ways to get Yamada's attention. He felt like a dumb school girl.

"Maybe," he smoothed his hair out, hoping Shirakumo didn't notice. It didn't seem like he did.

"Okay! See ya there, Shou!" Shirakumo jumped up, heading towards the back to his friends.

"Shit," he mumbled under his breath. This is going to be a mess.

When lunch came around, the class rushed out. Shouta stood up and began to collect his belongings.

"Aizawa!" A loud voice from behind him. Shouta couldn't help but jump, dropping his pencil case. He whipped around to see Hizashi Yamada.

Yamada was tall, not as tall as Shirakumo but tall nonetheless. Shouta was around Yamada's nose; having to look up to see him.

Yamada was pretty in just about every way. He had emerald green eyes, with long blond lashes. His blond hair looks soft and well maintained, despite being gelled up into a ridiculous hairstyle.

Yamada was just about everything Shouta wasn't. While Shouta wasn't necessarily insecure about his looks, he was aware that he didn't look the best. His hair was tangled and dark. Having wavy hair with a quirk that focuses on messing up his hair does not mix well. His eyes were a boring dark, almost black brown, with hints of crimson. Dark circles under his eyes from his insomnia.

There was little hope for Aizawa but that didn't stop his cheeks from flairing up and strands of his hair immediately jumping when Yamada batted his pretty eye lashes.

"Oh shit! Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you," Yamada suddenly bent down and began picking up Aizawa's spilt pencils. Shouta couldn't help but jump back.

Once Shouta had his hair under control, he began helping Yamada, though most of them were picked up already.

Once they had both stood up and collected themselves, Yamada spoke up.

"So, I heard you were gonna hang out with us at lunch, Oboro went ahead so I thought I would walk with you, ya dig?"

"Oh, okay," Shouta was convinced his face was redder than a stop sign. God this is embarrassing.

Shouta was surprised to find that they don't eat in the lunch room, but on the roof. That seems kinda counter productive to Shouta, what if the wind knocks something down?

Somewhere along the way Nemuri finds the two of them and with little convincing, Yamada invites her to join them.

Shouta knew his sister was well known, but not that well known. Yamada, Shirakumo, and Ida just about lost their minds when they found out.

"Okay, okay! So Kayama Nemuri is your sister?" Shirakumo asked, finally composing himself.

"Yeah, not that big of a deal," Shouta shrugged, his cheeks were flushed and parts of his hair were lightly floating around his head; hardly noticeable.

Nemuri ran her fingers through his hair, attempting to force it into place. He swatted at her hand.

"It is though!" Yamada shouted, but quieted down when he saw Shouta and Nemuri wince "Sorry, I can't belive you didn't tell us."

"Why would I tell you, we've talked twice," Shouta mumbled.

"That doesn't make sense though, your last names are different," Ida, taking a bite of his lunch finally spoke up.

This time Nemuri answered, "Our parents are divorced, Shou took our mothers name, I took my fathers."

Ida nodded in response, content with the answer.

The rest of lunch goes, for the most part, as uneventful as one could expect. Which is very eventful.

Nemuri made sure that her little brother sat next to his crush, practically forced him to sit down.

Shouta nearly jumped on her when she tried to tell them stories of him when he was younger.

"No! Shouta was so cute when he was younger, but a huge trouble maker. I'm convinced his mission was to kill himself when he was younger!" She smiled, before elbowing him.

"Still is," Shouta smirked, then he was wacked in the head by his sister.

"Don't joke about stuff like that! They might think you're being serious!"

"Maybe I am!"

She sighed, turning to the trio who sat silently watch, she spoke with a smile "He's not being serious, please don't call the police."

"You say that like it's happened before," Yamada spoke, mouth full of rice.

"It has," The siblings deadpanned.

"Oh shit," Shirakumo laughed.

It wasn't until Yamada joined in on the groups laughing that Shouta cracked a smile.
