Work Text:

Elain was sitting across from her mate, trying miserably not to look directly at him, her nerves on edge and upset with her sister for forcing her to go through this once a year. She didn't want a partner, she didn't want a man, macho or whatever his name is. Much less dealing with a person who moved her inside like the person she was in front of her.
He was avoiding exactly the same thing, and he was grateful for it. She didn't feel like seeing his longing for what, she didn't know exactly and she didn't want to be on the receiving end of those kinds of feelings or looks either.
She was so focused on avoiding those looks, on not looking at him and on her thoughts that she didn't realize they were talking until there was an ominous silence at the table.
Inevitably her gaze locked on that face marked by brutal scars, marks that she secretly wanted to trace, just to erase that violence with a touch.
Luckily he wasn't looking at her, usually he always noticed when she clenched her hands to stop the torrent of sensations when she saw him and she saw her disappointment in her eyes.
But he was looking at Cassian and then he turned his face slightly and locked eyes from her to Feyre. The look he gave her was devastatingly dangerous. Despite having only one natural eye, it oozed such an expression that he didn't need to know how to read minds to know what he was thinking.
His voice... It sent a chill through her entire body. He said her sister's name in a question, it could be interpreted as softly, but that tone, that danger in her voice... It couldn't be that she alone noticed it. He looked at the table and realized that everyone was watching what was happening.
"We can talk about it later" Feyre said with a tight smile. Rhys took her hand across the table. "I don't think it's necessary." Lucien just brushed it off. "We already talked about it the previous time."
Lucien gave his sister a soft smile and looked at Cassian. "I was thinking of instructing someone to park…"
"We don't need to instruct anyone," Azriel interrupted. "You'll be the one who stays in the spring permanently."
Lucien didn't even deign to look at Azriel, just sighed deeply and looked back at Feyre. Elain noticed how she clenched the cutlery with her fists. "We already talked about it."
"Lucien…"
"Feyre." I mimicked.
Elain looked at Cassian who put a hand on Azriel's chest to stop him from getting up, but Lucien didn't even care, he kept looking at his sister, who sighed and looked up at him, Elain knew her sister was about to give an order. "You'll have to stay in the spring for now. I spoke to Rhys and we think…"
"You were supposed to fix it, that's what you said." The male set the silverware gently on the table. Despite the tension you could feel in his shoulders, he simply rested his wrists on the edge of the table and sat up straighter. Elain just couldn't stop admiring his education. "When you offered me a job in this court, you told me that all the decisions that will be made, I would decide the last word and you lied."
"No. Of course I'm not lying, it's just that we need you to stay there." Feyre excused, looking at him pitifully.
"Sure," he said with a flourish. "So I left that piece and you took it. You want me to work in your court, to be in charge of talking to all the other courts, to be your emissary with the humans, spring and I do all that without a single help from your court and I do it without complaints…"
"That's not fair," Feyre interrupted. "We are trying as hard as you are."
"And now you want more pieces and more pieces and now this is too much. You can't make me go back to Tamlin to live in her shadow."
"His shadow of her?" Feyre inquired.
Elain's gaze moved to Cassian who placed a hand on Azriel's chest again. The Morrigan looked at him and rolling her eyes said in a soft whisper:
"Don't pry, this is a problem for our Grand Lady and her emissary."
"You're disrespecting him," he said through clenched teeth.
"That will be decided by Feyre, not you."
Elain's attention returned to the discussion again and she noticed him gently shake his head as Feyre continued speaking.
"Yeah, sure. That's how tamlin started with me. Oh Lucien you look bad about Jesminda! Why don't you work for me?" Elain watched her sister go pale at his words, and Cassian's eyes widened. eyes with surprise etched on his face. "And when I wanted to realize she lived in her house, under her rules and taking charge of her court."
"This is not the same." Feyre object with a whisper.
"This is exactly the same and I will not accept this again."
"You are being selfish." Feyre said in a whisper playing with her food.
"Well I have to be Feyre, because you think your decisions are more important than mine."
"At the moment they are." Elain knew that her sister had already lost her patience because she dropped the silverware on the plate, she looked at Rhys but he only stared at Lucien and it seemed strange that he did not intervene.
"No, not right now. You will always, always be the High Lady and I will always be the traitorous emissary who followed you."
"If that's how you look, that's not my problem anymore."
"But I don't see myself like that, that's the problem here."
Elain's eyebrows rose almost to her hairline, he was a calm lake next to her sister's anger. The Morrigan who was next to her smiled in surprise and Nesta looked at him incredulously, Azriel's anger could be felt with her shadows behind her and Cassian looked at him with approval. She looked at him again and he shook his head softly, opened his mouth and she knew without hearing him yet that she wanted to defuse the situation.
"In spring." Her sister said quickly and Elain looked at her, she was agitated, breathing quickly, anxious. "You will continue working with us, you will be our emissary there, you will continue doing the same thing you do in the human lands, there is nothing you cannot do there that over there." She said her sister with her hands outstretched. Lucien's expression twitched as if he couldn't believe the audacity of her sister's words.
"But I don't want to. We're not talking about my work, Feyre, we're talking about my life. " Those big, brown hands locked on his chest, pointing to himself. Then he began to enumerate and Elain couldn't stop looking at his hands mesmerized. "I have my job, my house, my friends, my projects. I live there and I don't want to leave."
It was the first time that she could see her partner other than just nervous and see him so sure of himself, giving his point of view with rationality and that was a jolt of disbelief. Her reasons and her soft way of telling her sister things to her face undid anything her sister had planned to say.
"And what am I asking you?" Feyre whispered.
"I'm just saying that I'm not moving anywhere, I'm going to stay there and we'll continue to work from there."
Silence spread across the table and it was the Morrigan who stepped forward and clinked Lucien's glass to hers.
"Congratulations emissary, your decisions will be respected, like everyone here, right?" Amren said looking at the high lord.
"Of course." He muttered under his breath.
Lucien nodded and took the glass, looking at the Morrigan and smiling softly at her. The tension disappeared and the talks began to increase in volume, but she couldn't stop looking at what was happening in front of her. She, in total disbelief, saw how her stunning blonde approached her and whispered in her ear, and despite being on the other side of the table, she could hear what she whispered to her without any problem.
"That was exciting emissary. We can go celebrate by going out for a drink."
The surprise on her scarred face was as incredible as the heat she felt on her cheeks when she saw how he held the blonde's amused gaze. There was an understanding in that long look they shared, she knew it the instant the corner of her mouth lifted gently and she drank her wine, averting her gaze. That simple flirtation froze her, made her miserable and angry. It was hers, that male belonged to her and yet she smiled at another...
But those thoughts were interrupted by the growl of Azriel who was also watching the scene. No one at the table even looked at
And just like that, it was all over. They got up from the table and scattered, but Elain noticed as Azriel walked over to Lucien and pinned him against the wall. She crept closer and listened.
"Leave the Morrigan alone."
"Annoying Shadowsinger?"
"You have a partner." And she was startled to hear how the same male who tried to kiss her a few months before now simply dismissed her.
"Now do you realize that I have a partner? I seem to remember that a couple of months ago you didn't care."
The cold settled in her body, she shuddered and caught her breath. He knew it, she always knew it. And she didn't know what to think or feel. Azriel was also surprised because he took a step back calculating.
"You should have a little more respect for others, Azriel." That name on her lips came out as an insult, "You should put your feelings and emotions in order, you can't kiss one person one night and demand another one during the day. You shouldn't play with the feelings of others."
Unexpected, everything that was happening was unexpected and surprising.
"You won't do anything because I try to kiss your partner?" I challenge with violence in her voice.
That audacity infuriated her. Did Azriel just want to hit Lucien for nothing?
"She is not mine or yours. Elain is free to kiss whomever she wants or desires."
And that simple answer threw Azriel and even herself off balance.
"Hey Lucien, do you want scotch?"
Cassian's voice startled her and Azriel turned, pleased to see that someone had taken him by surprise.
"I hope it's the one I brought." The red-haired man answered and walked away as if nothing had happened.
Azriel disappeared into shadows and she stayed in that hidden corner unable to process what had happened in a simple dinner. He knew what had happened on the night of the solstice, he had friends he didn't want to leave in the human lands, and flirting with the Morrigan all in one night. The flirtation with the Morrigan, her heart skipping a beat as she thought of it again, of the Morrigan's hands on Lucien's golden body, her lips and fingers buried in his silky hair. Her burning jealousy seared his insides and she looked up to find him. And there he was, talking to her, serving her wine with a smile. She said something and he laughed in amusement, his answer surprised her in such a way that she went blank making Cassian laugh uncontrollably, even Nesta laughed.
She went out into the garden, she needed to stop looking at him, she needed to hate his presence again because knowing more about him and his way of being made her think about silly things like his beauty and his hoarse and sensual voice, those big brown hands caressing her body, her fleshy and appetizing lips, totally and utterly kissable. Her scent alerted her and she quickly turned around looking for him, there he was, leaning against a tree just looking at the sky, he was relaxed. She huddled even more in the shadows cast by the wall behind her, he hadn't seen her, no one could see her hiding behind the huge honeysuckle bush that was on the corner of the house because it even hid her scent. The Morrigan came closer.
"Do you want me to take you?" I ask softly.
"I appreciate it, but I'll stay in my apartment tonight and winnow tomorrow."
"It doesn't bother me, I can do it in a couple of jumps."
"I won't go where you are going. " He told her with a smile. "Tell her I'll visit her soon."
The Morrigan kissed her good cheek and disappeared. Her jealousy was oily and slimy, making her clench her fists and thinking of stupid things like rubbing against hers to mark it as hers. She was silent for a minute.
"It's rude to eavesdrop on other people's conversations.
I jumped, she literally jumped when he spoke. Her soft laughter sent chills down the back of his neck.
"You've been watching me all night, you've heard my conversations without a shred of shame."
And when she wanted to realize her, he was in front of her staring at her. The moonlight did little to illuminate his features, though his scars made him look dangerous, his heart leaping in his chest for other reasons.
"See something you like?" He whispered catching her gaze.
She couldn't answer anything, not even whisper No, because she would be lying, because she even liked her voice, her smell turned her on and seeing it was like confirming everything her body wanted without her being able to do anything. . An inevitable attraction. When he took another step closer, she stepped back and lost her footing. She moved so fast that she didn't see him, but she felt her warm hand on her lower back and her face was inches from his.
"It is impolite to send your jealousy over the bond."
“I'm not jealous.” She wanted to say it firmly but her voice came out in a shaky whisper.
"I think you are."
She breathed in air to calm down, but his scent filled her lungs and that made her vibrate with desire. Her nostrils flared and caught her gaze, the flame she saw in her eye a clear demonstration of her desire. Her pressing her cheek against hers and the whisper in her ear stirred her blood like a song.
"Your smell is so extraordinary. Will it be the same as I imagine your taste?"
She couldn't help but squeeze her arms and hold her breath in anticipation of the next evil thing she did. "My taste?" Her confusion made him smile.
"Surely it must be like heaven in liquid content."
"Liquid?" Confusion and arousal were not good friends, she couldn't think straight, she couldn't process anything other than his warm hands on her body, his hair like a silky curtain that cut her off from everything and his scent enveloping her.
She was half slumped into her strong arms and caught her breath as her hand moved down to her hips, trailed down her right thigh and then felt the warmth of her hand seep through the fabric of her dress. from her to her pussy.
"From here," he said as if she was telling him that she had a tear in the fabric.
A moan she couldn't help torn from her lips, her fingers tightening in hers muscled arms as he began to play with her folds and she understood what she meant, he he smiled mischievously.
"Could it be that I can prove my theory?"
She didn't know exactly why she nodded, she simply felt her skin catch fire imagining him between her legs. He nuzzled her nose with his.
"You must say it in words, my queen."
Her heart sped up as she heard him call out to her. Lucien's whispers seemed to come to her from the darkest corners of her own mind.
"If you'd let me, I would already have ripped your clothes off with my hands and teeth. I would have already laid you down on the floor, on a bed, and I would have taken your breasts to lick and kiss them until leaving your breasts."
erect nipples, and then I would bite them gently..."
Elain felt herself swoon as he continued to mutter softly.
"I would kiss your body up to your thighs, inch by inch. And when I reached your mount of Venus, I would lick you deeper and deeper, until I found the pearl of your clitoris, where I would leave my tongue until I felt it throb. I would surround it, I'd stroke it, lick it until I heard you beg. And then I'd suck you, so soft and tender you'd start screaming with desire. I'd stick my tongue into your vagina and taste you, eat you. I wouldn't stop until your whole body was drenched and trembling. And when I had tortured you enough, I would spread your legs, penetrate you and love you... love you..."
"Yes.*
Before processing anything else he groaned softly and leaned her back against the wall. It was surreal to see him kneel in front of her but that was as far as her mind would go to process, because then he concentrated on feeling her silky hands trail up her legs lifting her skirt and caressing her. same time.
"Please, you can't here…" She said, her eyes wide with disbelief.
He ignored her protests, continued to fondle her under her dress and pulled her underwear down to her ankles.
"I'll go crazy if I don't at least have you like this."
"No, no…" Elain pleaded weakly, but he couldn't hear her.
She had put her hand on her ankle and was nibbling and licking one knee. She felt a sudden, searing desire, and her heart pounded. Lucien pulled the front of her dress up to her waist and asked her to hold it.
"Hold this" she mumbled.
She shouldn't have obeyed, but her hands seemed to have a life of their own and held the jumble of her dress to her stomach. She ran her mouth over her thigh, so that her warm breath aroused the sensitive skin there. When he brushed against her pubis, Elain moaned in pleasure. The two fingers of hers that Lucien inserted into hers were immediately clenched and sucked in, as her wet vagina contracted eagerly.
"Oh, Lucien..." she murmured, her eyes half closed as her passion flushed her body with pink patches.
“My name on your lips sounds beautiful.” He whispered over her pussy.
He pushed her fingers deeper into her while her mouth sucked on her swollen vulva. Elain clenched her
teeth from her and she arched her back. He didn't stop or give him a moment to catch his breath from her, but he continued to caress and torment her, making her sensations rise until he gasped and shuddered from her. But he did not take her mouth away from her, sending waves of pleasure through her until she was finally still, exhausted and devoid of sensation. Lucien rose to his feet, pressing her aroused body against hers, who wrapped her arms around her waist and, eyes closed, rested her cheek on her shoulder.
"Liquid heaven." I confirm.
Elain closed her eyes and sighed listening to the thunderous beat of her heart making her dizzy, though she didn't know if it was her beat or his. She felt her lips on her temple and closed her eyes, her burning hands leaving hers in a slow, torturous caress.
"Good night, my queen. I hope we meet again."
And without being able to ask him when or give him time to answer, she threw herself. She felt her absence in her body and her hands tingled with need, she needed more, she needed to touch him. Lucien with that simple touch of hers had made her need him.
