Summary: There has been multiple animal attacks reported in the city, and the clues all lead to Cordell Walker, a Taxas Ranger and a Familiar. When he feels threatened, he would transform into a giant dog and attack the enemy. (p.s. dogs are color blind)

There has been multiple animal attacks reported in the city, and the clues all lead to Cordell Walker, a Taxas Ranger and a Familiar. When he feels threatened, he would transform into a giant dog and attack the enemy. However, after Beau arrested Cordell, he secretly broke him out of prison, (and had sex but in human form), and Cordell asked to help out in Beau's office. In the process, Cordell saw the evidence and became emotional, stormed off to hunt the bad guys alone. Beau knew everything, and followed him to a warehouse where Cordell used their sprit link to call for help. In the morning, Cordell saw him on the roof with a rifle, and he caught a whiff of somebody else's scent, luckily Beau took care of it and helped Cordell finish another bad guy before Cordell gets kill.
The real murderers have been eliminated. Wounded Cordell lied on the ground and was hard to focus on changing shapes. After a while he finally managed to get out and found Beau, they went back to the house and Beau took good care of him.
They carried on their secret identities and did so many good on the way.

市内发生多起疑似动物伤人事故，警长Beau Arlen收集的种种线索都指向Cordell Walker——一名德州骑警，同时也是一只灵兽，在自己生命受到威胁时会变成狗狗、发动攻击，然而在现场抓获对方之后，Beau却秘密地将他的灵兽/伴侣/爱人Cordell劫狱逃走，（省略一段Cordell/Beau向xxoo），后来Cordell主动申请到Beau的分局帮忙，两人一起查案的过程中，Cordell忽然情绪激动，更是自己一个人出发缉凶。Beau把一切都看在眼里，悄悄地跟踪对方。Cordell被子弹擦伤，躲到货柜后面用心灵感应呼唤Beau前来增援。第二天清晨，Cordell看见了在屋顶架着狙击枪的Beau，顺着风向闻到Beau身边有其他动物的气味，幸好Beau把对方解决掉了，不料敌人还有同伙，在他冲出来马上要对Cordell开第二枪之际，Beau开枪把对方也打死了。凶杀案真正的凶手们被击毙了。
受伤的Cordell躺倒在铁皮堆里，难以集中精力控制自己的形态，喘息过后以人的身份逃出生天，找到了Beau，为自己包扎疗伤。二人从此带着Cordell的秘密身份浪迹天涯。
