Work Text:
That little rat bastard.
Rebecca was seeing red; White hot, glowing, unbridled rage that set her bones and blood on fire as she looked down at the page open on her iPad, an interview from Nathan Shelley detailing his departure from AFC Richmond and subsequent poaching by West Ham, in the process doing all that he could to tarnish Ted's name unjustly in the process.
Three days before the semifinal, no less. Spineless little man.
Things that Ted had clearly told the coaches and eventually Higgins (The Diamond Dogs, she recalled with an affectionate eye roll) in confidence were splashed across the page, tumbling from that little shit's mouth as if he didn't have a single ounce of sympathy for the man who had bolstered his confidence in the first place, and even given him the leg up he needed to even be considered as a coach when they'd promoted him.
Before Rebecca could think any more horrible thoughts about what she would do to their former kitman should she ever lay eyes on him again, her doorbell began to ring in a repeating desperate, staccato pattern of dings.
She knew who it was before she had even opened the door.
Before her now stood Ted, drenched no doubt from the walk across the Green from his flat to her house in the pouring rain, hands shoved deeply in his pockets as he tried desperately to avoid her gaze.
"'M sorry, R'becca I just... I needed..." He rambled, his voice small and strangled under the weight of what Rebecca knew was undoubtedly a panic attack.
"Ted, darling it's alright, I was just about to call. Come on inside, I'll make us a hot chocolate."
Ushering him inside, Rebecca offered him a towel for his soaking hair and a comforting touch, both of which he graciously accepted with as much of a smile as he could muster.
Sitting them both down on the sofa, one arm wrapped around Ted's back and rubbing small, soothing loops into it while her other hand came to thread her fingers through his, Rebecca fell silent to listen to the sounds of his laboured breathing and attempted to feel as much of his heartbeat as she could through the subtle touches, trying to gauge where he was with the inevitable panic attack she knew he was either already having, or just on the brink of.
It was a catch-22 for Rebecca; hoping that he was already coming down from it but hating that she wouldn't have been there to comfort him through the worst of it, while also fearing the idea of watching the very beginning of Ted's descent. She knew that Ted had been working on his anxiety with his new, permanent therapist who had come into his life a few weeks prior at the recommendation of Doctor Sharon, but Rebecca also recognized from her own personal experience that sometimes it all just needed to be ridden out, rather than to be talked down from the verge.
Despite being best friends and their recent transitioning into even more than that territory, though they still had yet to talk it out and make anything official, Rebecca still hadn't told Ted about her own previous struggles with her own panic attacks and depression in the depths of her marriage, though she had a feeling he probably already knew, or at the very least suspected, that she knew more about what he was going through than she let on, considering all of the times she had known exactly how to pull him out of one.
"How are you feeling, Ted? Talk to me?" She asked after a moment, his silence feeling much more sinister than the comfortable, easy lack of words that fell between them more often lately. Ted could only look back at her with his gaze empty and eyes full of tears, as if he was looking right through her.
"Why would he do that, Rebecca..." He asked, his voice totally shot, "Why would he say all those things and lie... The other article I could forgive, 'cause at least that actually happened, but..." Pulling his hand abruptly from Rebecca's hold and shifting a few extra inches down the sofa, Ted's hands then flew to his face and he let out the most pained, sad noise Rebecca thought she had ever heard, something between a desperate scream and a devastated sob. "I tried so hard with him... I tried to give him everything I could and it still wasn't enough... Why is it I'm never enough for anybody, no matter how goddamn hard I try?!"
It was then Rebecca knew that the worst of it had only just begun.
She watched helplessly as Ted retreated into himself both mentally and physically, curling his legs up to his chest and gripping tightly to his calves where his arms looped around, rocking himself slightly as the sobs began to tumble out. It shattered Rebecca's heart to for once be on the other side of it, watching as Ted saw something that she could not see play out in his mind's eye, his gaze absently floating somewhere above the piano she had just ordered for the sitting room, her gut twisting painfully as the crushing, heartbroken cries fell from his lips.
"Oh, Ted..." She tried, carefully closing the distance that Ted had put between them, desperate for at least her proximity to bring him some amount of comfort though she was still trying her hardest to respect the boundary he had wordlessly set for no physical contact, and she knew well enough that now was not the appropriate time to ask to hold his hand again. "You are enough, my darling. You're right in that you do try so hard for everyone, and it breaks my heart that you think emptying your cup every day still isn't working hard enough.
Because, Ted, for the people who actually give a shit about you, who love you and just want the best for you? What you give to them daily is more than enough love to sustain them forever. I know sure as shit that's what it's like for me, anyway.
Nathan Shelley is an egotistic snake, who thinks he can finally climb to the top of the world on the backs of the people who have done nothing but shown him kindness and love, and stab those backs in the process. You did everything you possibly could for him, my love, and whether or not he was always going to leak stories to the press? Him betraying you like this, betraying us as a team, it seems like it was always going to be inevitable. God, I hate him for doing this to you, for making you feel this way... Christ, Ted, I need..."
Rebecca began tripping over her words, gesturing vaguely with her hands from how overwhelming the urge to hold him close had become from helplessly watching him cry, "Would it be okay if I touched you right now?"
Nodding almost frantically, Ted took Rebecca's hands in his and guided them around his shoulders, collapsing into her with a guttural sob when she finally was hugging him tightly.
"Oh, my darling..." She cooed gently into the shell of his ear, continuing to rock them gently the way he had done for himself, knowing that it brought him comfort, "It's alright, it's all going to be alright... Maybe not right now or in a day, even a week from now, but I promise you that we'll get through this. A wise man once told me, 'if you got a little love in your heart, there ain't nothin' you can't get through together.'" She attempted to put on her best impression of Ted's sweet accent, hoping to if not make him laugh, then at the very least ground him a little further. Luckily Rebecca got the former, a soft, wheezy little version of her favourite chuckle falling from his lips as his cries slowly subsided and his breathing evened out.
"Least I can count on you to remind me that sometimes the shit I say sticks." He chuckled once again, a little more bitterly than before. "God, 'm sorry... I should just be thankin' you, Rebecca. So thank you, for all of this. I know it's late, I should get goin' and let you get some sleep..." He tried, straightening up just a little and placing a hand on her cheek, his affectionate and thankful gaze piercing Rebecca's heart.
"Now, hold on just one moment." She spoke quickly, not moving her arms from where they still held tightly to Ted's strong back, hesitant to let him go just yet when it felt so good to have him so close and knowing her touch was helping him, even just a little, "I believe when you came here tonight I promised you a hot chocolate, did I not?"
"Well I suppose you did." He smiled at the thought, relaxing back into Rebecca's embrace, "Alright, hot chocolate it is... Thank you, Boss."
The name was far more a nickname than a title now, and it always managed to make her heart leap into her throat when Ted used it outside of Nelson Road.
Almost regretfully, Rebecca finally removed her arms from their embrace and lifted Ted's hands from where they had come to her sides and placed them back into his lap, still holding onto them for a few moments longer.
"Two hot chocolates coming right up... Will you be alright if I disappear into the kitchen a moment?" She asked softly, not wanting Ted to feel like she was patronizing him in any way, but needing to be sure she wouldn't return to the residuals of his attack when she left him alone.
"Scout's honor, I'll be right here when you get back."
*****
When Rebecca returned with two steaming mugs in her grasp, Ted was, as promised, exactly where she'd left him on the sofa, though at some point he had curled his legs up under him and haphazardly thrown the towel from his hair over himself in what looked to be a pitiful attempt to dry the rest of his clothes off with the already soaked towel.
"Here you go, love." She gently brought him back to reality when she spoke, pulling his gaze from where it had drifted to try and read the spine of every book that graced her floor to ceiling bookshelf.
"'Preciate you, Rebecca." He thanked her sweetly, carefully taking the mug from her hands as she sat back down beside him, bringing it to his lips and taking a long, slow sip. "Well that sure is delicious! Thank you again, for all this... And you were right, everything you said. I know I gotta stop tryin' so hard to make an impact on people that just won't take it... It's just hard, y'know? Feelin' like you failed somehow when you just wanna make a difference to someone."
"Oh trust me, I know." Rebecca replied, a little bitterness lacing her own voice now. Ted nodded, knowing exactly what she was referring to without making her elaborate.
They spent the following few minutes in a comfortable silence, drinking their hot chocolate and half-watching old Friends reruns that graced the television when Rebecca flicked it on to keep them company, the volume low.
When Ted finished with his mug half an episode later, he leaned over to place it politely on her coffee table, stretching his arms for a moment before making a move to stand.
"I really should get going, it's past one and I don't wanna keep you up any later than you have to be, Boss, you oughta get your rest. But thank you, again... Have I said that enough times tonight?"
She could only chuckle at that, setting her own mug beside Ted's and reaching up to take his hand once more, before he could move too far.
"You've said so a few times, but you'll always be welcome, Ted. Anytime you need me, I promise. And you... Would you maybe like to stay, just for tonight? I just... I don't want you to feel like I'm breathing down your neck, but I think I would feel a lot more at ease knowing you were close by, in case something happens again... I can't bear the idea of you going through those alone, I know what that's like and how quickly they creep up sometimes. You can still get out of those wet clothes, I might have something here you could sleep in..." She tried shyly, unable to look Ted in the eye as she laid out her offer.
"Rebecca, are you sure? I don't wanna put you out..." He countered politely, though the idea of spending the night with someone, especially Rebecca, close by right now made a comforting warmth bloom in his chest.
"Of course I'm sure! Ted, darling, you'd never be putting me out." She smiled, rubbing one hand along his bicep and feeling the way his damp shirt clung to his skin, "Christ, you're still soaked to the bone! How about I run you a bath upstairs while I go looking for something comfier for you to sleep in?"
"You're too good to me, Boss..." His responding grin was shy but full of affection, bringing a hand up to cover her own appreciatively, "But that sounds amazin', Rebecca, thank you."
*****
No more than ten minutes later, the bath had filled and Rebecca had dimmed the lights comfortably in her master bathroom, leaving him to bathe in a tub full of lavender scented bubbles by the light of a handful of battery operated fake candles she had placed around the room a few weeks prior.
"They're not quite as cozy as the real thing," She gestured to the plastic lights, "But I've done myself the misfortune of falling asleep in here with the real thing burning for hours more than once, so I did myself a favour and replaced them. So... I'll leave you to it, and I'll be back in a few minutes with some clothes. If you need anything just call for me, okay?"
"I will, darlin'. Thank you." Ted nodded, placing a warm hand on Rebecca's shoulder and a kiss on her cheek in thanks, sending the pit of her stomach into immediate knots.
As if that wasn't enough to start her spiraling, Ted had hardly waited for her to be out the door before he began to strip his clothes off, the expanse of his bare back fully visible to her now as she moved toward the door. No matter how at ease they were with each other as best friends, and being on the verge of that elusive something more, Rebecca couldn't deny the anxious electricity that shot through her body at the thought of Ted, her Ted, naked in her master bathroom.
Finally entering the hallway again and shutting the door almost all the way behind her, leaving a gap for sound to escape should Ted call for her, Rebecca made her way to her bedroom and opened the top drawer of her dresser, digging around for a moment until she found what she'd been looking for; An old pair of grey sweatpants and a random men's university t-shirt, two of the only things that Rebecca had left from what seemed like several lifetimes ago, the set one of her go-to pairs of pajamas before she had eventually begun replacing them with tinier, sexier, more expensive things in an attempt to make herself feel better after the divorce.
Giving Ted a few minutes to soak and unwind in the warmth of the bath, Rebecca quickly changed into her own pajamas, a pink satin button-down and pants, before she made her way to the guest room a few doors down to make sure there was nothing out of place since the last time someone had stayed there, Keeley a few weeks prior on the eve of Roy's return from his trip to Marbella; too nervous to be on her own and needing a full night of girl talk to settle her anxieties over seeing him for the first time in over a month.
Pulling a corner of the sheets back for him to enter and fluffing up the pillows a couple of times, Rebecca finally decided the room was adequately prepared for her guest and she finished by flipping the ceiling light switch, once again leaving the room in just the soft glow of the bedside lamp.
Clothes in hand, Rebecca slowly made her way back to the bathroom door, knocking softly to announce her entrance.
"Ted? Ted, I've got some fresh clothes..." She called softly, getting no response. Waiting another moment to see if he replied and still only getting silence in return, Rebecca swallowed thickly before making her way fully into the bathroom, her eyes finding Ted fast asleep with a towel rolled up under his head as a makeshift pillow, a soft snore blowing past his lips.
"Oh, love..." She sighed affectionately at the sight of him, placing the soft pile of clothes onto the toilet seat before making her way over to the tub, settling herself carefully on the edge and placing a soft hand on his cheek.
"Ted, darling..." She murmured, working her fingertips up over his temple and into his hair, noticing how oily his normally fluffy hair had gotten, no doubt from his anxious habit of running his fingers through it and the extra heat in the bathroom, "You've got to wake up, love, or you'll prune up in there if I leave you all night!"
Blinking slowly, Ted finally came to with a sleepy, utterly adorable smile curling the corners of his mouth as he squinted up at Rebecca, feeling her fingers work softly through his hair.
"Hiya, Boss." He mumbled, his voice husky from the power nap, "How long was I out?"
"Not long, love. Maybe twenty minutes? I brought your clothes... Is there anything else you need to finish up in here?" She asked, knowing Ted probably hadn't gotten far before the combination of the heat and sheer exhaustion had gotten to him.
Yawning and straightening up, he replied, "Think I forgot to wash my hair... Been a long day, Boss. The boys were workin' real hard for that match on Monday... Probably feels like crap, huh? But I'm so dang tired, might just leave it 'til morning." He leaned into Rebecca's hand in his hair then, making a soft, pleased sound at the feeling of her nails still scratching lightly at his scalp.
"It's not that bad, darling." She smiled down at him, bringing her other hand up to aide the first, getting another soft sound from deep in his throat in response. "But would you... I could wash it for you, if you'd like?" Rebecca hadn't planned on asking him that, thinking she'd just let him do with it what he would if he chose to go straight to bed, but it had slipped out so quickly and she couldn't deny how nice it felt from her end too, methodically running her fingers through his hair and knowing it was bringing him even just a little extra comfort.
"Oh, Rebecca, that's sweet... You don't have to if you don't—"
"Nonsense, I insist." She countered, waving off his uncertainty. Reaching over to the corner of the tub for her shampoo and conditioner bottles, Rebecca set them up in order next to her instead, removing her second hand from Ted's hair before reaching over to grab the removable shower head from the wall, turning it on and facing the spray away from Ted as she felt for the appropriate temperature.
Eventually the water turned warm again, and she maneuvered the nozzle around to his back, slowly raising it and guiding his head to tip back so she could rinse through his thick hair properly. He followed her wordless instructions intently, tipping his head from side to side when she moved the spray around, letting those little content hums slip through when he felt her nails accidentally scratch lightly against his scalp again.
Noted, she thought, flushing deeply.
Returning to the task at hand, Rebecca turned off the shower nozzle when she finished soaking Ted's hair and replaced it in its hook on the wall, double-checking that she had the bottles in the correct order again before squeezing a small amount of shampoo into her palm and rubbing her hands together gently. She hesitated for a few seconds, trying not to think about just how intimate the situation was outside of simply wanting to bring Ted comfort, until finally Rebecca talked herself back into it and brought her hands back to Ted's scalp and began working through his hair.
She moved slowly, nowhere near as quick and brisk as she was on her own hair most of the time, not caring too much about her shampoo technique considering her hair was already permanently suffering from decades of bleach use; using her fingertips to work the product into his scalp as best she could, every so often gliding her fingers back out through his strands to tenderly remove any knots that may have formed from the endless activity he got into coaching the boys down on the windy pitch. She let the product sit for a minute or two, moving her soothing circles down behind his ears and the nape of his neck, the latter causing a Ted to make a sound Rebecca wouldn't soon forget.
Jesus Christ, woman. The man was sobbing in your arms an hour ago, don't be an arse!
Shifting her position a little shakily, Rebecca reached over for the shower nozzle again, turning it back on to rinse out the first round and quickly apply the second. She waited less time this round and forwent the addition of the tender little head rub, giving the product only half a minute to sink in before she rinsed it off again, moving straight for the conditioner bottle. It was then that Ted spoke up, pulling her gently from the comfortable monotony of the routine.
"Jeez, a whole three step system? You sure do spoil me, Rebecca." He joked sweetly, nudging her bicep with his forehead while she smoothed the product into her hands. Rebecca rolled her eyes fondly, combing the slick creme through the ends of his hair and was careful not to get any on the scalp, to avoid just making it oily all over again.
"Now you cannot be implying that you don't use conditioner! You're lying!" Rebecca gasped, this time truly shocked that Ted's shiny, gorgeous, thick hair was simply the product of a semi-regular shampooing and maybe some light styling.
"No ma'am, wouldn't lie to you." He shrugged, giving her a goofy grin up through his eyelashes that combined with those particular words made Rebecca's heart swell, "Usually just forget to buy it! Only really use it whenever we got an away game and they got it in those fancy little hotel bottles."
"Unbelievable." She muttered, chuckling to herself. "Alright, that just needs a few minutes... Would you like me to come back, or...?" She left the sentence hanging, leaving the choice up to Ted.
"Please stay. Missed you earlier." He grinned, taking hold of Rebecca's hand when she had fnished rinsing conditioner from them, pressing a barely-there kiss to her forearm. The contact set Rebecca's entire body ablaze, the skin underneath the touch of Ted's lips burning delightfully.
"You were asleep earlier, silly man." She tried, shaking her head at his sweetness and praying that Ted couldn't hear the little tremble in her voice left behind from the kiss. Looking back up again she only found his usual sugar sweet smile, totally unfazed by the physical affection he'd just doled out. Reaching over the side of the tub to grab a clean flannel and drying his now undoubtedly pruny hands, he reached up to frame Rebecca's face with one, stroking soft little circles back and forth over her cheekbone with his thumb, the other resting lightly on her knee.
"Sure I was, but that don't mean I couldn't miss you." He shrugged, as if that were the most obvious statement in the world, "I always miss you when you ain't around, Boss. I meant what I said last year, y'know; You do really liven up the place Rebecca, wherever that may be at the time."
"Ted," Rebecca reprimanded halfheartedly, tears springing to her eyes against her will at the pure love and adoration in his words, "Come on then, we ought to rinse this out."
This time Ted handed her the shower head and turned it back on for her, having taken note of how to set the proper temperature the last few times she'd turned the dial. Rebecca moved quicker this time, seeing the bubbles that covered Ted beginning to deflate and knowing the water had to be getting cold at this point.
"Alright, you'll freeze if the water gets too cold while you're in there!" Rebecca urged, giving his bare shoulder a light squeeze as she stood, placing her shampoo and conditioner back in their correct places. "I'll let you get dressed then I'll come say goodnight in the guest room, okay?"
Ted nodded, reaching over to give her leg a gentle responding squeeze, just above her knee.
"Thank you, Rebecca... For all of this. I'll see you in a jiffy."
*****
Ted finished up in the bathroom quickly, towel-drying his hair most of the way before slipping on the grey sweatpants and worn t-shirt, smiling to himself when both pieces fit perfectly. He tried his damnedest not to think about where Rebecca would have acquired several pieces of comfy men's clothes, distracting himself with repeatedly fluffing up the endless array of pillows on the massive bed before pulling back the covers so he could slip inside. Ted leaned back comfortably against the headboard, pulled his knees up to his chest and closed his eyes for a moment, letting the exhaustion from the evening finally wash over him.
"Those PJs look good on you, Coach." Rebecca appeared at the door with a smile, her words quiet as she gestured over his outfit. Ted looked back at her through sleepily hooded eyes with a gentle curve of his lips, holding out his hand for her to join him on the bed. She made her way over to him slowly and set herself on the edge of the mattress, their hips flush. Boldly, Ted lifted an arm to drape over her shoulders, shifting himself to the left and pulling gently with his hand to encourage Rebecca to climb in next to him. She happily obliged, maneuvering herself so their bodies were pressed side by side again, resting her head on his shoulder as his arm tightened just slightly around her own.
"And before you ask, they're mine." She chuckled, and Ted blushed at the mere possibility of Rebecca being able to see right through him to his earlier thought, "I went through a phase in uni where all I could sleep in were men's joggers and shirts... Most of them were let go of eventually, but these were always my favourites and I just couldn't bear to see them go, though they've just been sitting in my wardrobe forever."
"Well, college-Rebecca sure made a good choice, these are great. I mean, why wouldn't ya choose to wear sweatpants and a big ol' tee to bed when they're so dang cozy?" He joked, bumping his head against hers lightly.
"Right?!" She agreed with a giggle, reaching up to thread her fingers through the one he'd draped over her shoulder, squeezing gently. Ted felt her energy shift then, turning soft and wistful from the playful light and sparkling warmth she'd shown him all night. He gave her hand another gentle squeeze in return, massaging his thumb into the back of it.
"Teddy..." She began, hoping the new and hyper-affectionate nickname wasn't too much the second it left her lips, "Thank you for trusting me tonight. I'm so, so glad you came to me, darling... I don't know what I'd do if I'd gotten the news and I couldn't track you down. I know you'd be safe with Beard, or Roy, but just to be able to take care of you and hold you tonight brought me so much peace of mind. Please never, ever hesitate to reach out to me for anything, okay? No matter the scope of what you think something may be, I quite enjoy being your person."
Ted didn't reply in words right away, instead bending to brush his lips across Rebecca's forehead and smiling against her skin. Her heart leapt into her throat once again at that, Ted's easy affection never ceasing to make her feel like a giddy, crushing schoolgirl.
"I love you, Rebecca." He finally spoke, the confession so sudden it shook her to the core. She had known that there was that something beyond friendship that had been brewing between them for months now, though she feared speaking on it because she truly believed that like most things in her life previously, the second it had been said aloud the universe or whatever other higher power was out there would immediately switch up on them, and do everything possible to destroy them.
"I know we've both been feelin' it for awhile now but have kinda been dancin' around sayin' it, and I never wanna push you when you aren't ready for somethin'... But it's always been true for me, and after tonight I just needed for you to finally hear it. I love you, and I'm so grateful for you lookin' out for me when I need it. If you'd allow me the pleasure... Could I give you a kiss goodnight?"
Feeling her shift abruptly next to him Ted's heart launched into his throat, afraid the request was a push too far. Instead, when his eyes focused again Ted now found himself with Rebecca straddling his lap, her hands coming up to tenderly cup his jaw as she gazed up at him, her piercing green eyes glassy from his precious speech.
Answering him wordlessly, Rebecca leaned in and slowly brought her lips to Ted's, capturing them softly with her own. The kiss was languid and sweet, familiar even, and Ted couldn't help himself when he decided he wanted more from it, parting her lips further with his tongue. The passage of time seemed to warp around them as they snogged lazily, and eventually they found themselves shifting around once again, pulling back from their embrace to catch their breath after a few more minutes of bliss and realizing that they were now both entirely under the covers.
Rebecca snuggled up cozily to Ted's chest with an arm draped warmly over his stomach, and Ted's fingertips traced mindless trails up and down her spine.
"Well, goodnight Ted." She giggled, giving him one more sweet peck before settling with her head directly over his heart, smiling softly when Ted tugged the blankets up to her shoulders, "I love you too, darling."
"Goodnight, Rebecca."
*****
The next morning, Ted woke to the scent of vanilla-coconut scented shampoo in his nose and a warm weight on his chest. Smiling to himself, his arms tightened almost automatically around Rebecca, keeping her close as he fully came to, knowing she wouldn't be far behind.
He was right, and a few moments later he had a pair of sleepy green eyes gazing up at him. Rebecca's own grin spread when she saw him and felt the weight of his arms around her back, pressing a soft kiss to the middle of his collarbone where she could easily reach.
"Mornin', sunshine." He greeted, bringing a hand up to stroke Rebecca's unusually messy bedhead. She was adorable, he thought; Seeing her with her fences completely down in front of him was more familiar as of late, but still new enough that it still made his stomach twist delightfully whenever she allowed him the honor.
"Good morning, love... How are you feeling?" Rebecca's morning voice was deep and even huskier than usual, making Ted's head spin just a little.
"Right now? Like this, with you? I feel like the luckiest man alive." He replied, hoping to hide the flush that had crept into his cheeks as he trailed a few lazy kisses along Rebecca's hairline, chuckling lowly as the realization fully hit him that they had just spent the night together.
"You're a flatterer, Ted Lasso." Rebecca chuckled, stretching her legs with a tiny groan, "But I'm glad you're feeling better, darling. Would you like some coffee?"
Ted only shook his head, dropping yet another kiss to the top of Rebecca's head. "That'd be great, but not just yet... Kinda just wanna be here with you awhile, if that's okay."
"Well I certainly won't complain about that."
The next few hours passed peacefully, with both Rebecca and Ted slipping in and out of intermittent dozes wrapped securely in each other's arms, neither wanting to soon leave the perfect, quiet little haven they'd created together in Rebecca's guest bedroom.
