Chapter Text
Black holes cover up his eyes, living in the dark, hiding, living under too much light or too much darkness, he is nothing but a child. The cupboard under the stairs, a pair of eyes that should gleam like the stars, a little freak just trying to survive.
Freak, a little thief, a hungry child, a suffering soul. Beatings and nobody will touch him because he’s too dirty to be around. Does he even know what is being cared for?
Abandoned at the door, just a short letter explaining, nobody to check him up. Will his wounds ever heal? Do you know him? The forgotten child? Do you love him? Do you know him? The child that stopped dreaming of love, the child that stopped hoping, the child that used to dream of magic. The child that lives in despair. Will he ever know love?
Black holes cover his eyes, which should gleam like stars. The little freak under the stairs, child of thunder and faith. His head is filled with parasites, don’t kill him, just help him run away. The one that’s hurting, the one that wishes to see the end of the nightmare he has been trapped in for most of his life. It hurts more when he smiles than when he cries at night at the bottom of the stairs. Please do take him home now.
In a place of light, of breathing and might. A house of magic and kindness, of love that has barely forgotten the abandoned child. A child wearing the same face but no wounds to talk of.
Loved as much as two parents can give, loved by the world for something he never did. Will he be remembered when all is to end? Will they know him or the picture they created? Gifts and cards, love declarations, and grateful poems. All his life painted in a little snowdome.
Two faces of the same coin, two children born the same day, wearing oh-so-similar names.
Because they talk about gifts and forget that there are some that will never understand that the word can carry different meanings for each person. (Because the child living under the stairs would be grateful for a piece of bread and the one living in a grand manor would think you are stupid for considering something like that a gift). (Because there is so little given to some, that when others can’t even see that, the suffering only remains longer).
Please do not be too late, because Fate is not kind with its curses and Death is willing to destroy your life before vanishing you for eternal damnation.
