Work Text:
Aaron Hotchner couldn't help but smile as he watched Spencer Reid working diligently at his desk. The young genius was completely absorbed in his research, his glasses perched on the end of his nose and his hair falling into his eyes.
Hotch had always been impressed by Reid's intelligence and dedication, but lately he had started to see something more in the young agent. He couldn't help but feel drawn to Reid's quick wit, his boundless curiosity, and his kind, caring nature.
As Reid looked up from his work, Hotch felt his heart skip a beat. He quickly looked away, trying to compose himself. But Reid had noticed the older agent's gaze and he felt his own heart start to race.
For weeks, Hotch and Reid had been dancing around their growing feelings for each other. They both knew that something was there, but neither of them knew quite how to express it.
But on a quiet night at the BAU, Hotch finally mustered up the courage to talk to Reid about his feelings.
"Spencer," Hotch said, his voice soft and hesitant. "I know this might be inappropriate, but I can't help but feel something for you."
Reid's eyes widened in surprise. "Hotch, I feel the same way," he said, his voice filled with emotion.
Without another word, Hotch leaned in and pressed his lips to Reid's. The kiss was soft and tender, filled with the pent-up feelings that they had both been holding back for so long.
As they pulled back, they both smiled, knowing that this was the beginning of something special.
From that day on, Hotch and Reid were inseparable. They continued to work together at the BAU, but now they also had each other to lean on. They were each other's rock and support system, and they knew that they could always count on each other, no matter what.
They were the perfect team, not only at the BAU but also in their personal lives. They were happy and in love, and nothing could ever change that.
The end.
