Chapter Text
Jennette Margarita (de Alger Obelia when she's introduced to her family) has always wanted to be with her family, Emperor Claude de Alger Obelia and Princess Athanasia de Alger Obelia, ever since she could remember.
She wanted to be reunited with them. They were family and family always supports each other no matter what.
And frankly, Jennette also wants someone to talk to.
Someone her age and someone of her gender. She has her nanny and Ijikiel, but she feels...lonely in this big house filled with so many people.
Uncle Alphues tells her that she'll be able to meet her father and baby sister when she's older and when the time is right.
So all she needs to do is be a good girl, study so she can keep up with other girls her age (and with the princess), and simply be patient and wait.
And she does wait and be patient, she really does.
But sometimes, she can't help but stare at her two dolls of her father and sister and feel a sort of painful stab to her small and childish heart.
She swallows back and fights back the tears that threaten to fall down.
It's okay, Uncle said that I'll be able to meet my family when the time is right!
So she shouldn't be crying like this. But sometimes she really can't help it.
It can get rather lonely at the Alpheus mansion sometimes.
She doesn't have anyone her age to talk to. Uncle doesn't let her out of the house unless on special occasions.
So she spends some of her days reading fairy tales and books about the nice vacation spots in Obelia and other things where she can go with her family when she's finally introduced to them.
I can take the princess to this place to pick flowers! the little brunette thought as she giggled while looking at a travel catalog that depicted in one page a beautiful scenario on a hill with grape hyacinths and purple poppies.
Me, the princess, and his majesty will be a happy family of three!

"Hey, Lucia! Look at these flowers!" said Athansia as ran through the rose gardens of the emerald palace.
She laughed as the win made her hair appear as it was being lifted and bouncing around to frame the face of the little blonde.
The breeze made her hair look like it was some sort of mainsail or tassel that was all over the place due to the wind.
Her baby blue dress with white ribbons made her look like some sort of flower spirit to most people but Lucia thought that her hair will be a mess when they go back in doors.
Though she admits that the princess is indeed very much a sight for sour eyes.
"Princess, don't run you'll end falling down with you wearing heels." said Lucia as she followed the princess. As she always will.
Athanasia pouted. "But you're wearing heels just like me!" said the blonde girl as she pointed at Lucia's dark red heels that made her the same height as Athanasia because technically Lucia is shorter than Athanasia, much to her dismay.
But Athanasia does like lording it over her or just teasing her about her height.
"Lulu, you're so short that you look like a little kitten!"
"You're the one that looks like a chibi!"
"Lulu, no need to worry because Unnie is here!"
"Lulu~ I know you like turning into a cat~. Now, let me pet you~" Lucia's cheeks turned dark red as she violently coughed at the uncharacteristically soft and playful voice that the princess had been using for that last sentence.
It wasn't in-character for Athanasia to say things like that. It was clearly a fantasy.
But the real question is why Lucia was having those fantasies in the first place...
No! Stop thinking about that damnit! Lucia thought as she coughed even more violently, refusing to look at Athanasia in the eye.
Meanwhile Athanasia only looked at her with a confused expression.
Ah, what's gotten into her? Is she alright? Athanasia thought as she watched Lucia cough violently as if she were choking.
"Lulu, are you okay?" the princess asked, voice filled with worry.
Athanasia walked towards the dark-haired girl and put a hand on her back to help her.
Lucia whirled to face Athanasia and took a step back, almost falling onto the ground.
Lucia's ears were red and so were her cheeks. She looked embarrassed, Athanasia noted. "Hey, what's gotten into you? Are you sure you're okay?" Athanasia's eyebrows knitted together and she frowned as she crossed her arms together.
"I'm alright okay!" Lucia said, practically shouting. Which surprised Athanasia a bit, she didn't know what's gotten into her friend.
"...If you're sure that you're alright...then you won't mind helping me pick flowers for Lily!" Athanasia said excitedly, changing the topic and the mood as she grabbed one of Lucia's small and place hands.
Lucia only stared at the hand that Athanasia was holding in her own with confusion.
"What the hell?" she whispered softly, staring at the hands of both she and her friend with a sort of confused and conflicted look in his red eyes.
"Well anyway let's go!" Athanasia said suddenly as sh started walking towards the roses, dragging Lucia with her.
"W-Wait!" Lucia stammered as she let Athanasia drag her towards the red roses.
Damn it! she thought, but looking at Athanasia's bemeaing face, Lucia felt her heart skip a little and increase it's beating, making it's prescens annoyingly known to the dark-haired girl.
...I think I wouldn't mind picking roses with her...Lucia thinks as she swallows back her own saliva, eyes still heavily glued to the princess and her hands joined together to the point that they appeared to be so intimately interwined that it would be hard to undo the tie between them both.
