S&M: The Beginnings ((coming soon))

Summary:

(This is the Prequel to the Death Note story S&M, in my stories list, and should be read *after*. Absolutely AFTER.)

A twist of fate brought family together - though it was the result of other families tearing apart. Two sets of parents, gone, missing. Two sets of grandparents, one vacant. The cousins stared at each other, their likenesses similar enough that they could be brothers.

A bond was forged in the midst of chaos, a support, a lifeline. Jayden, a precocious kid who acted beyond his years, and L, a quiet type with ancient eyes who later learned to wield the dynamics of control. They were on a similar trajectory, independently, interests delving into topics not spoken of in polite society. Later, expressed in a club with the very same name. Life was to change drastically with the appearance of Yagami Light, but this was the path traveled to get there.

hello lovely fellows. i feel like utter trash for this super looooooong delay, due to live circumstances that -fingers crossed- i'm almost done dealing with and can have consistent time of my own again (POSTING SCHEDULE!) in this time, however, i have been writing when i can, editing, and let me tell you, you'll have a full ass story to read, at least as long as S&M. i'm really stoked about it!!

*so when posting starts, it should be consistent and weekly.*

the reason i've held off, while still writing, is because i didn't want to start and then have gaps of weeks at a time. i know i promised to post over a year ago and trust me it's eating my brain alive. things have been too chaotic to count on having time each week to work on things, finalize or rewrite where needed, etc.etc. i decided consistency would be the thing most people would appreciate so they aren't left hanging.

(i'm trying to get through the last press of this marathon that's got me WRECKED and double worked and 'stare at the wall' deaaad and motivation sapped. it's a damn push. but then, THEN... FINALLY..... you'll see the posts start to come through. maybe 1-2 weeks. all depends on finishing stupid amount of work, and then setting up something that i need for $ to happen. hence, the not focusing on writing, when otherwise i would.)

editing to the beginning is still needed before post, then i'll start chunking it into proper chapters and posting as i write, like i did with S&M.

Jayden remembered that day like it was only yesterday…. the day L arrived at their doorstep. He was 9, and when the door swung open to show a man and a woman in dark business suits and a dark-haired kid of 13, he thought that he looked like a proper teenager. He looked sullen, and maybe a little aloof, and Jayden was immediately fascinated. The rainy grey backdrop to this whole thing was suitably dramatic, and had him wanting to edge closer. A dark car was at the curb and a suitcase sat like a stone behind the boy...
