Chapter Text

As Jesper has gotten to know Wylan Van Eck, he has grown to like the boy. He’s witty and sweet, a far cry from the stuck up prick he presents himself as to the public and to his daddy. Jesper has also learned that while Wylan is less stuck up than he thought he would be, even if he does have a particular sweet spot for Jesper, he’s still a brat.

Which is why Jesper is losing his mind after realizing that Wylan snuck out while under his care.

Jesper has been working for Jan Van Eck for awhile now, ever since his parents died when they got caught up in the crossfire between Van Eck and Rollin’s gang. Innocent bystanders that got hurt because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. When Van Eck found out that the Faheys had a son that wasn’t of legal age yet, he took him into his care.

While Jesper’s father was set on him going to university or running a farm, Van Eck taught him thirty ways to kill a man.

Soon enough, Jesper’s kill count exceeded some of the veterans in Van Eck’s gang, and he worked up the ranks of the gang and somehow made his way into Van Eck’s closest circle at only twenty two.

It all came to a head a couple of months ago when Van Eck had called Jesper, frantically listing off a set of coordinates, telling him that there’s something there that he needed to retrieve quickly. He provided no other information about the cargo he was picking up, just that he would know what he was looking for when he saw it. Van Eck sent two others to help him with the mission: Inej Ghafa and Kaz Brekker, some of Van Eck’s more seasoned assassins. He had hung up the phone without waiting for Jesper's reply, and that made Jesper worry more than anything else.

Jesper had quickly dressed in all black, the same attire he used every time he was carrying out one of his killings, and he grabbed his favorite guns from their place inside his safe. He loved rubbing his hands over the pearls on the handles, a habit that comforted him in times of stress. Jesper would need that comfort today. He made his way down to the parking garage of his apartment building, and sped out in his flashiest car.

He never was one for subtlety, even if he is considered a criminal and is in the top ten of the FBI’s most wanted list.

It only took Jesper about ten minutes to get to his destination, finding the Wraith and Dirty Hands already in position on the roof across from his target in case he needed back up. He gives them a nod, trying not to give them away just in case anyone is watching them. Jesper focuses on the task at hand, and breaks the lock on the door, waiting for the sound of footsteps on the other side, but it’s almost eerily silent on the other side.
Jesper opens the door, stepping out of the way in case bullets start flying. A few heartbeats later, it’s still silent, so he enters.

The sight before him stops him in his tracks: Wylan Van Eck, bloodied and broken in chains while Pekka Rollins holds a gun up to his head.

Jesper surveys the scene, taking in the dozen or so slumped over guards surrounding the pair and says, “Damn Wy, you really gave them a run for their money, didn’t you?”

Wylan laughs and then winces in pain, “You know it, Jes.”

“Don’t come any closer,” Rollins growls, taking the safety off the gun.

Jesper stops, “What do you want, Pekka?”

“I want what Van Eck owes me.”

“Van Eck already paid you what he owes and you know it,” Jesper bites out.

Before Jesper even knows what’s happening, Rollins pulls the trigger, and Wylan cries out in pain. Jesper takes a step forward without thinking and Rollins points the gun at him, a wild look in his eyes. He stops in his tracks, holding his hands up to show the rogue beast in front of him that he doesn’t mean any harm. Jesper takes in Wylan’s condition, giving a quiet sigh in relief when he realizes that Pekka only shot him in the thigh.

Jesper prays to the Saints that Kaz and Inej hurry up a little bit.

“I know Van Eck sent you with the coin, so hand it over, or I’ll shoot him for real this time.”

Jesper looks at Wylan and Wylan gives him a shake of his head, signaling Jesper to buy them a little more time as he winces in pain.

His breathing is shallow as Jesper says, “Van Eck didn’t send me with any coin.”

Pekka rolls his eyes, “You’re really trying to-”

There’s a loud bang and Kaz’s bullet hits Rollins in the stomach, and Jesper makes for Wylan, kicking Rollins’ gun out of the way. He flips out one of his guns, and shoots the chain, breaking it.

“Hey Jes,” Wy slurs, “Rollins may have made due on his promise when he got shot by Kaz.”

Jesper’s face drains of color, “What?”

Wylan winces as he lets out a humorless laugh, “He shot me again.”

Jesper slings Wylan’s arm over his shoulder and drags him out of the building, shouting to the rooftop across the street, “Kaz, get here now!”

Kaz and Inej fly down the building, meeting him at his car, and situate Wylan in the backseat. Kaz stays because he’s slower than Inej while she goes to get a medic and Van Eck to Jesper’s apartment.

Wylan almost died before Genya and Nina got their hands on him, and the thought that Jesper could have lost Wylan before he ever got to know him like he does now kills him inside. Of course, the boss was distraught, and hated the fact that Rollins had tried to use Wylan against him.

After that day, Jesper had been assigned by Van Eck to stay with Wylan and to assist with his recovery. Really, Van Eck was just worried that someone stupid enough would try to kidnap Wylan again.

He can’t complain though because Jesper’s days were a lot less sunny without Wylan in his life, which is also a terrifying thought considering Jesper prides himself on not needing anyone.

But he needs Wylan.

Which is why Jesper is panicking because Wylan snuck out without telling Jesper where he was going. He’s pacing from his living room to his kitchen and back again, checking his phone every thirty seconds to see if Wylan has gotten back to him or if Kaz and Inej have gotten eyes on him.

The door knob clicks and Jesper whips around, seeing Wylan sneaking back into their now shared apartment, quietly shutting the door behind him.

Jesper reaches over and flips on the living room light, “Where the fuck were you?”

Wylan jumps, but recovers quickly, “Hey Jesper.”

“I’m going to kill you,” Jesper stalks over to Wylan, grabbing him by his collar, and dragging him to the makeshift training room they set up after Van Eck asked Jesper to teach Wylan to defend himself better.

“Jesper, wait. I can explain,” Wylan is clawing at Jesper’s hand on his collar.

Jesper throws Wylan against the wall, pinning him there, “Please Wy, tell me the two rules we agreed upon when I was assigned to you.”

Wylan swallows thickly, “Tell you where I’m going and bring you with me if it’s somewhere other than class.”

“I know for a fact you don’t have class at 3 a.m, Wylan. What was so important you couldn’t at least tell me where you were going? You could have died,” Jesper spits out, anger and dissipating worry coursing through him.

“Jes, I didn’t die. I’m right here,” Wylan cradles Jesper’s jaw gently, “I was just on the roof. I didn’t go far. I just couldn’t stay here any longer.”

“And you couldn’t bring me with you?” Jesper asks, calming down as he comes back to himself, feeling Wylan’s solid weight in his hands.

Wylan sighs, “Kaz met me up there and kept me company for a while. He was helping me with something… I just needed to get out of the apartment.”

Jesper’s eyebrows furrow, “That little shit. That’s why he wasn’t answering me,” he pauses before asking, “What did you need help with?”

Wylan avoids Jesper’s eyes and blushes as he says, “I may or may not have been asking him if you’d like the present I got you.”

“Present? For me?” Jesper is even more confused, “That’s why you broke our two rules? A present?”

Wylan rolls his eyes, “Yes.”

Jesper smirks, “You brat, you could have just told me,” his tone turns a little darker, “You just never learn your lesson, do you? Will some positive reinforcement help?”

Wylan honest to god squeaks, and once he recovers, he replies, “Yeah, that might help.”
Jesper didn’t think he’d get this far. He was expecting Wylan to shove him off of him, telling him to get lost.

He smiles like the cat that got the cream, and says, “Oh, this is going to be fun. Go get on my bed, I’ll meet you up there.”

Jesper watches as Wylan scurries away once he lets him go, grabs the blind fold they use to train before exiting the room. Wylan is leaning up against Jesper’s headboard, completely naked once Jesper gets to his room.

He takes a moment in the doorway, raking his eyes over Wylan’s form, and watching the blush spread across his neck and chest as Jesper takes him in.

“You’re such a pretty boy, aren’t you?” Jesper purrs, wonder in his voice.

Wylan’s cheeks go even more red, and he whispers, “Just for you.”

“Just for me?” Jesper asks in surprise, “You do know how many people would die to have a piece of you, right?

Wylan watches as Jesper makes his way over to the bed, eyeing the ice cube tray curiously, “I know how many people want me, but I don’t want them. I want you.”

Jesper almost trips before stuttering out, “Y-you do?”

“Yeah, I do,” Wylan reaches over and grasps Jesper’s arm, pulling him down onto the bed, “Now, what are you going to do to me, Jes?”

“I know you’re a sucker for pain so how does spanking sound?” Jesper asks, watching Wylan’s mouth part in barely contained want.

He stutters out, “Y-yeah, but how did you know I like pain?”

Jesper smiles wryly, “You aren’t very good at hiding how hard you get when we spar. You like it a lot when I hit you.”

Wylan’s face goes completely red and he opens and closes his mouth a few times, trying to get his voice to work again.

Jesper shushes Wylan, “Shh, baby. You don’t need to talk too much for this. I just need you to count. One spanking for each hour you were gone, sounds fair?”

Wylan nods his head and Jesper continues, “Remind me again how many hours you were gone.”

“Five,” Wylan whispers.

“Five hours just to get approval for a gift for me? Now isn’t that excessive?” Jesper purrs condescendingly, “Maybe you’ll learn your lesson after I’m through with you.”

Jesper grabs Wylan by the wrist, laying him over his lap, and feels that Wylan is already hard from the anticipation. He smooths his hands over Wylan’s ass, feeling the firm muscle that Wylan has built up over their time training together.

Wylan cries out on the first slap, jerking in Jesper’s lap, and shakily croaks out, “One.”

“Oh, aren’t you cute? You already sound broken,” Jesper croons, smoothing his hand over the red mark, “You’re being such a good boy for me, aren’t you?”

“Yes, sir,” Wylan stutters out, already rutting into Jesper’s thigh.

Jesper cracks down on the other cheek, simply to hide the fact that his cock twitched when Wylan called him “sir,” listening for Wylan to say “two” before going onto the third. He takes a moment to knead Wylan’s ass, appreciating the way he’s already bruising.

“Three,” Wylan chokes out, groaning, “Jes, it hurts.”

“I know, baby, I know. But you earned this, didn’t you?”

Wylan nods his head, already crying, and moans out, “Keep going.”

Wylan can feel Jesper hard and wanting, pressing up into his stomach, and he feels arousal shoot through his gut at the feeling of being wanted by a man like Jesper. Jesper is so out of his league it’s not even funny, Wylan thinks. He’s a successful assassin that never misses a shot while Wylan is just the son of a mafia boss that has everything handed to him on a silver platter.

Wylan will never know what it is to work for something, but he can earn Jesper’s affections and punishments. Wylan just wants to earn whatever Jesper is willing to give him, and he relishes in the pain of the fourth spanking when Jesper lets it rain down on him.

Wylan gasps out, “Four.”

He thinks that he could last longer if Jesper wasn’t absolutely wailing on him, not holding anything back, but Wylan is on the edge, just waiting for the fifth and final slap.

Jesper leans down, moving Wylan’s sweaty hair out of the way and whispers in his ear, “Are you going to cum for me, sweetheart?”

“Yes, sir,” Wylan moans, holding his breath, waiting for the shock of pain that will send him over the edge.

It comes slower than Wylan expected, but when Jesper’s hand finally connects with his ass for the last time, he sees white. He cums with a shout and a shudder, spurting all over Jesper’s jean clad thigh.

Distantly, Wylan hears Jesper groaning above him as he whispers through the aftershocks, “Five.”

Jesper is panting above him and Wylan notices that there’s nothing pressing into his stomach anymore as Jesper soothes, “You did such a good job. I think you learned your lesson, yeah?”

Wylan nods his head, still trying to get his breath under control, “I did good.”

Jesper smiles down at him, pulling him up into his arms and then laying Wylan against the pillows, “You did good. I’m going to get a washcloth to clean you up.”

Wylan watches as Jesper enters the adjoined bathroom and sees him come back with a washcloth and aloe.

He makes a noise of distaste, “I don’t need the aloe.”

“Wylan, you can’t just not put something on those. They’ll hurt like a bitch,” Jesper explains, holding the bottle of aloe in his hands, and looking at him incredulously.

Wylan whimpers out, “Need it to hurt later.”

Jesper’s jaw drops open, “How come we didn’t do this sooner?”

“I don’t know, but I’m glad we started,” Wylan says, giggling and letting Jesper clean him up.

“I’m only going to put aloe in the worst places, okay? That way it will still sting tomorrow,” Jesper replies, knowing that Wylan will bitch him out later on if he doesn’t at least put something on the bruises.

“Okay,” Wylan closes his eyes, only hissing a little at the first contact, “When you’re done, I’m going to get your present if that’s alright with you?’

“That’s more than alright with me,” Jesper speaks with a smile in his voice, “As long as you promise to tell me when you’re leaving the next time you’re trying to play a surprise.”

Wylan lets out a yelp when Jesper pinches a bruise, emphasizing his point, “Alright, alright. I’ll tell you next time I need to leave. Are you done?”

“Yes,” Jesper pats Wylan’s bruises, making him wince.

He gets up and basically runs to where he dropped the bag earlier in the night, knowing that Jesper was absolutely livid as soon as Wylan saw him standing in the living room in the dark.

When Wylan gets back to the room, he hands Jesper the gift bag, and says, “Go on, you made me wait to watch you open it.”

Jesper rolls his eyes at Wylan’s impatience, taking the sleek, black case out of the bag, and unlatching the clips.

His jaw drops when Jesper fully opens it, “You didn’t. I’ve been looking at this one for ages!”

Inside is a sleek pistol and Wylan is proud that he was able to get his hands on such a rare specimen, “You like it?”

“Like it? I love it,” Jesper fondles the trigger, and heat pools in Wylan’s gut.

He blurts out without thinking, “I have a suggestion.”

“Mhmm, what’s that?” Jesper purrs, noticing the reaction that him holding a gun pulls out of Wylan.

“We should use that next time.”

“Next time?” Jesper questions, wanting to make sure that he’s catching what Wylan is putting down.
Wylan stares him down like he’s staring down a predator that’s been stalking him, “The next time we fuck, I want you to use that gun somehow.”

Jesper smirks, “I thought you’d never ask.”
