Work Text:
It was almost 10 o'clock and it was finally time to go to sleep. Friedrich Weimer, found himself exhausted even more than the usual amount and he wasn't quite sure why.
He slowly settled himself into his top bunk, bed creaking as he made himself comfortable.
To say he didn't know the source of his exhaustion would be a lie. He did know, and he knew it very very well. It was more exhaustion in his heart then in his body.
That day, more than usual, he was more restless because of his feelings towards his closest friend, Albrecht Stein. The pair were both new to Allenstein, Friedrich joining just the day prior to Albrecht. They bonded almost immediately, and soon after Friedrich found himself very deep in love for the first time.
Albrecht turned to look at him, smiling as he always did, and Friedrich felt his heart flutter. "Goodnight, Friedrich." he mouthed.
"Goodnight Albrecht." Friedrich silently replied.
Friedrich took one last look at Albrecht, with his sky blue pajamas, and let sleep take its course.
Bit by bit his mind began to piece together all his wants, his desires, and wove them into a warm, hazy blanket of comfort.
He slowly blinked his eyes, taking in the world. He found himself laying quite peacefully on a blanket, life buzzing all around him.
The sky seemed to have never been so blue, and, wishing to show off, was brighter than ever. The sun sparkled its gold rays of warmth onto him. The world was a burst of green with various colors speckled around.
But most beautiful of all, was the boy sitting next to him, his eyebrows knitted in concentration as he wrote in his notebook.
Friedrich rolled onto his stomach, and looked up at Albrecht. "What are you writing?"
"Oh, well, it's nothing really."
Friedrich raised his brows. He had read some of Albrecht's writing before. It was rarely ever "nothing". Albrecht saw the look on Friedrich's face and laughed softly. He shrugged his shoulders.
They looked at each other for a few seconds, and Albrecht, immediately sensing what Friedrich was going to do, jumped up onto his feet and starting running away, notebook and everything.
"Let me see what you wrote!" Friedrich yelled as he chased after him, a grin pulling at the edges of his mouth.
"Catch me first!" Albrecht yelled back at him.
"Trust me I will!"
And so the the chase began. Albrecht ran with much energy, jokingly taunting Friedrich the whole way through. They were like cat and mouse. Each time Friedrich got close Albrecht would dodge at just the last moment. Friedrich had managed to get a hold of Albrecht only once, and yet he wiggled his way out of his grasp. Albrecht laughed a great, triumphant laugh, and started running away again. Friedrich was starting to get tired, his legs aching from all the running. Soon it was simply too much for Friedrich and he could no longer keep up.
"Oh come on Albrecht!" Friedrich whined, collapsing onto the grass and panting. The sun shone straight to his eyes, and he closed them. Albrecht laughed out loud as he walked over to Friedrich. Albrecht took Friedrich's hands and lightly pinned them next to his head. He chuckled "I win, Weimer."
"Damn you." Friedrich replied, with a show of fake annoyance. Albrecht's head blocked the sun a little bit, and through Friedrich's squinted eyes he looked up at Albrecht, the sun seemingly forming a halo around him. So, so beautiful, and for what? Friedrich thought.
Albrecht plucked a white flower and put it behind Friedrich's ears. Friedrich's breath caught in his throat. Albrect noticed this, of course he did.
"Friedrich?" Albrecht asked softly.
"Yes?"
"Would you like me to show you what I've written?"
Albrecht was simply glowing with beauty at that moment, and he was so close to Friedrich, breath lightly hitting his face. He could only nod his head yes.
Albrecht smiled, no longer pining Friedrich to the ground but rather holding his hand, fingers intertwined. He slowly leaned down bring their faces closer to each other. And then he finally closed the gap, their lips meeting in the middle.
Friedrich moaned into Albrecht's mouth. He'd been wanting to do this for so so long, he just couldn't help himself. He melted into the kiss, just letting himself feel it. It was such a feather-light kiss, and yet it made his nerves crackle with fire.
Albrecht slowly pulled himself away, and their eyes stayed closed, as if opening them would shatter the moment. For a second Friedrich felt as though he couldn't breathe. Then Albrecht looked at him, wide-eyed. After another beat he had pushed his lips to meet Friedrichs' and they were once again kissing each other breathlessly.
Their kisses slowly intensified, losing the awkwardness and shyness they both initially had. Friedrich let his hands roam wherever they wanted to do, from the small of Albrecht's back up to his soft, dark hair. "God," he thought to himself. "How wonderful he tastes..." Friedrich wanted to commit every last part of Albrecht to memory. He wanted to trace the outlines of him and keep a picture perfect copy in his mind and his heart.
They sighed softly into the kisses, taking full pleasure in each other. They were simply melting into each other, no longer two separate, different people but one. One united being, radiating with awe and adoration.
Friedrich had never felt better. Albrecht was now biting at the cartilage of his ear, whispering sweet words of affection, calling him his love, his life, his everything. Albrecht moved from his ears to his neck, sucking on the sensitive skin as Friedrich grasped at Albrecht's small back.
He loved this, he loved being like this with Albrecht. At almost all times he felt as though his entire life was just rush, fast, hard, quick, more, rush, higher, again, lower, rush, over and over again. Friedrich felt as though he got little to no rest. But now, with Albrecht? Everything was soft and slow, and he could simply let go. The sun seemed to soften the hard edges of the world, adding to this hazy feeling floating around the pair.
More, more, more was his only thought. More Albrecht, more kisses, more skin, more touch. He pulled Albrecht down by his hips and thrusted his own up. Albrecht got the hint immediately and started to grind down against him. Friedrich whined from how good it felt. They fell into a rhythm, Albrecht grinding down and Friedrich pushing his hips up when Albrecht had pulled back. His whole body was coursing with pleasure, senses overwhelmed with everything Albrecht, his scent, his taste-
"Everybody wake up, out of bed now!"
Friedrich was wrenched out of his dream by the yelling voice of the one and only Justus von Jaucher.
Friedrich blinked the sleep out of his eyes as he tried to process the dream he just had. What the hell was that? he thought to himself. He turned to look at Albrecht, and a deep blush settled onto his face. Just then Albrecht sat up. Friedrich whipped his head around, still too surprised from the contents of his dream to even look at him. He scrunched up his face into one of tired annoyance, mumbling swears to himself as he got off of the bed, cursing Jaucher and his entire existence.
In spite of how annoyed, if not borderline furious he was at Justus for interfering with his sleep, Friedrich felt happier than he had in weeks. He could hardly conceal this happiness. Friedrich, so puppy-like in his mannerisms, said, "Good morning Albrecht." Albrecht's only response was an affirmative grunt. His hair was still in bed hair mode, all messed up. Friedrich smiled to himself, thinking that, at least in his dream, it was he who had caused Albrecht's dark hair to take such a messy form.
Today is another day with Albrecht, Friedrich thought. For a second, his heart dropped. Another, long and exhausting day of trailing his eyes after Albrecht, silently begging him to love him back. Another day of longing and want for something he would probably never have.
No, he told himself. Today is another day to be with Albrecht, to hear him laugh and see his smile, to read his writings, to be his closest and most dearest friend.
Another day with Albrecht, he smiled.
