Walking at night was a pleasure of yours, the smell of the fresh night truly could calm your nerves on the most awful of nights. Not that you had much of a choice, while you were a college student, you were also working at a...not so-friendly establishment.
The ring of a bell reaches your ears as you step into your workplace. "Y/N! You're five minutes late. Again!" Your boss barked at you. God, he was such a dog at times, always yip yappin' at you for who knows what. "Sorry boss, the professor wouldn't let me leave," That was a lie, you were hanging out with the turtle brothers, but he didn't have to know that. Your boss rolled his eyes. "Yeah-Yeah, whatever, just get working." You nod to him and hang up your coat and replace it with an apron, it easily wrapping around your thick waist. Walking over to a closet and opening it you get to work cleaning.
You were already missing the brothers, while it's been hard, you've done everything in your power to hang around them as much as possible. They just bring so much light into your life. You remember the first time you met them. It was a cold night, and maybe you had made a few wrong turns, or maybe it was fate, but you had wandered into an alley, the alley was filled with clan members and the brothers had saved you.
At first, you were curious why such creatures would even consider saving you, but then the youngest, Michelangelo, walked over to you with kind eyes and asked you if you were okay. You laughed and thought he was joking, but he just stared at you. Once you realized that he was being serious you coughed up a "Yep im great, fantastic, yep, totally didn't just get my but saved by four turtles." Mikey couldn't help but laugh at you, especially after being so awkward. After that, a precious friendship blossomed between you and Mikey and eventually all the brothers.
Sighing, you start to scrub harder. The faster your shift is done the quicker you can go home.
"Y/N! Come and do these fucking dishes!" You internally groan, tonight was going to be hell.

That might've been the worst shift you've ever had to work in your life. Dirt and grime covered your face and hair, it even got under your nails! Your boss made you clean out a fucking chimney. FUCKING CHIMNEY. Rubbing your temples, you dust off your hands, grab your coat, and proceed to clock out. "You better not be late again tomorrow Y/N! You hear me?!" You gave him a thumbs up and walked out. That man was going to going to over work you to death, your job was supossed to clean not be a maid! But everyone else refused to hire you, so hes your only sense of income, which was really unfortunate, really.
Being so deep in thought you didnt notice that four familiar figures were following you, blending in with the shadows.
"You guys see her too, right?" asked mikey. "Yes little brother, of course we do." deadpanned donnie. "Guys, listen, she wouldnt want us to be creepin' up in her like this." Ralph nervously spoke up. "Ralph, my dude chill, if anything were just watching her to make sure she gets home safe!"
"Dude, we're totally spying on her." Donnie scoffed.
"I mean..." mikey began "She has been acting really weird lately, shes been so tired and exausted, she hasnt really been spending time with us, me! i just wish she would tell us whats wrong!" Mikey felt a hand on his back, he looked up and saw ralph. "Me too mikey, thats why were here, to make sure shes alright."
"Come to think of it," Donnie put his finger to his chin "We've never even been to her house! And yet shes always at our place!"
Everybody nodded in agreement.
"Lets keep moving," Suggested ralph, jumping to the next roof. His brothers follow not to far behind, ready to finally solve this mystery.
