it shows a little house,with a dark brown roof and it was painted a dark green color,the windows looked old due to one of them having a crack in them and especially since it was replaced,the door had a few dents in it like if someone had tried to break into the house before in the past,but the house looked like it has seen better days,but also looked like it was still a livable place to be in,despite seeing a few rats here and there,but it didn't matter as long as you had rat poison around you,the strong kind.
A little girl who seemed to be around the age of 10 years old was in front of an old TV, she was amazed by the cartoon she was watching.
She seemed to be all alone as the house was very empty other than the noises that came from the TV It was very quiet.
Like if she was the only one in the house,all alone with no one but herself inside of the old and broken house.
That's because she was,she was all alone in a house with no one keeping an eye on her at all.
The girl stood once the cartoon was now on the ads,an episode of her favorite cartoon had ended and now she was waiting for the next episode to play.
She walked to the kitchen which looks like it hadn't been cleaned in days or months,Possibly even years in your opinion.
She picked up a stool and open the shelf,She looked around for it before picking up a bowl,Then she gently stepped down from the stool.
She placed the bowl on the table before moving the stool to another shelf where it held the cereal boxes.
She opened the shelf and looks around until she gets out of box of cereal she wanted to eat,She she stepped out and walked to the table and poured the cereal into the bowl,There was only a bit of cereal left but enough to fill her up,she looked inside in sadness to see that the box is cereal was now empty.
She walked to the fridge and gets out a jug of milk, it only a bit of milk left but enough to fill up the bowl of cereal.
The little girl poured the milk into her bowl of cereal before going into the other side of the kitchen to grab a spoon.
She put the spoon on inside her bowl of cereal before sitting down in the chair,she wasn't telling enough to be able to fully sit up but she was able to reach her bowls cereal.
She slowly ate her bowl of cereal savoring each bite as if it was going to be her last meal,Probably because it might as well be her last meal.
She had not way of thinking That's what people always tell her,She mostly didn't really listen because she was either outside chasing butterflies or lost in her own little world.
It was probably why she was called weird.
sometimes she just had her head in the clouds,in the peaceful,white,fluffy,cotton candy looking clouds where if she laid down on one,she would fall asleep.
Then she heard a gunshot.
She quickly stopped eating her cereal and ran to look out the window.
She saw a cop car driving into the neighborhood with the sirens on at full blast.
She got scared at first due to how loud the sirens were,but she slowly looked out the window to see what was happening right now,of course at a safe distance,she was a little kid,but she wasn't stupid.
The only reason why a cop car would be around here is if a crime was happening in the neighborhood,Sometimes a murder would happen once or twice.
the classic robbery to steal money.
the classic heist to steal many valuable things that are worth a fortune.
the classic break-in where the criminals broke into an empty house in order to rob it of all the goods they had.
She knew a lot about crimes did the cartoon she watch,She was always interested in the mystery ones.
For some reason it gave her joy to see that the good guys win and watch the bad guys fail,seeing how the people cared about the good guys.
she loved how the good guys were praised for having the day,seeing how the good guys actually matter,she looked to see an officer.
the little girl watched as a few pieces of her long black hair got in the way of her face,she didn't want it to get in the way.
she saw the officer yelling at a man to put the gun down Of course the criminal refused and tried to shoot the cup,who had managed to dodge the bullet.
the little girl's eyes sparkled,to her,officers were basically superheroes in her eyes,she was amazed by how brave and strong they were,to be loved by so many people,to be appreciated for what they did.
she flitches hearing a bang.
She saw the criminal on the ground,who was bleeding,she turned to look at the officer,the officer held his bleeding shoulder.
she got scared,worried for the officer but she calmed down seeing more police cars arriving and helping out their fellow officer.
She noticed how the officers were treating the injured one like family, she could tell that they weren't all related.
That's what you like about officers,the officers treat each other as if they were a giant family no matter what happens,unless one of them does something very stupid.
And trust her she has seen a lot of stupid stuff they do.
even the news covers that kind of stuff thanks to the nosy reporters who want to get a good scoop.
she looked at her bowl of cereal and went back to eating it She liked the action in real life,to her it was much better than the stuff on TV.
then she hears yelling,so she looks up from her bowl of cereal.
the criminal was shooting all over,one of the bullets managed to get inside of her house,breaking the window that already had a crack in it,multiple pieces of broken glass fell onto the ground.
another bullet was fired.
the next thing she knew,she was on the ground.
she stared at the ceiling as her brown eyes started to fade away,the cops handled the criminal and took him away.
she couldn't hear anything,the puddle of her own blood started to grow bigger and bigger,she was confused.
why weren't the officers helping her? did they even notice that she was on the ground? bleeding to death?
she just stayed on the ground,until an officer helped her,she heard voices,yelling to call an ambulance,but that's all she heard.
then her entire world turned pitch black.
when she woke up,she felt.....different,she couldn't tell if it was a good different,an ok different or a very concerning different,but she just felt different.
doctor: you're awake,everyone was so worried about you,don't worry,you're ok now sweetie,i will inform your parents that you are awake,i'll be back.
the little girl stared at the doctor until he walked out of the room,she just stared at the door in silence.
then,2 people walked in.
woman: oh,my poor baby!
doctor: she's a lucky one,you have a strong daughter,but she was in the house all alone? no one else but her and an empty bowl of cereal was in the house.
then a boy stepped forward,almost in his teenage years,he looked ashamed of himself like he did something wrong.
boy: it's my fault,her parents get up early in the morning just to go to work and I was supposed to babysitter but I forgot I had to, if only I did forget maybe she wouldn't have been shot.
woman: oh don't blame yourself,none of us would have known this would have happened to her or the events would have happened in our own neighborhood,we're just grateful that she's alive and managed to make it through.
boy: i know but I still can help feeling guilty.
man: she's your cousin,i know that she wouldn't want you to blame yourself,she will need time to recover but one day she will say she forgives you.
boy: hey cuz,please forgive me.
the girl just stared at her cousin,silent.
doctor: she will need time to heal but don't worry we will manage everything,we know that your financial situation isn't that good,so we'll figure out what to do.
woman: we know we just wish that we could have done more or get better jobs,then maybe we wouldn't have to worry so much about this,but i promise that we will do what we can to make sure our daughter is ok.
boy: and i'll be a better babysitter.
the girl just stared at them.
she hums a bit,to show that she was tired.
woman: don't worry my sweet little girl,sleep,the doctor said you have to sleep if you want to have all of your energy back.
the girl slowly closed her brown eyes,falling asleep.
but she knew what she wanted to be when she was older.
a police officer,working for the grimsborough police department.
she wanted to make her town a better place After what happened to her,she wasn't going to let another child ever go through this ever again.
She may be 10 years old but that doesn't mean that she just a little girl,she knows what she wants to be in the future.
And more importantly,she knows what she wants to do.
as long as she knew what she was going on,then she was going to make grimsborough a better place.
The next time she woke up she heard her parents talking.
woman: i think it's time we move out of here.
man: agree with what happened to our child, we just can't risk it anymore, we should move out of here once she gets better.
woman: good idea.
man: We might as well bring anyone else,We don't want any of our other family to get shot,Especially in the side of the head.
The little girl was shocked by what she heard,Her parents were going to move out of here? and take all the family with them?
But then how is she going to make her town a better place if she wasn't going to be in it? She wanted to say something to them.
but sadly she couldn't speak for herself,She was stuck in a hospital bed with nothing to do but to hear everyone speak.
She made an oath to herself.
As soon as she was old enough to join the police academy she was going to go back to grimsborough and make it a better place.
She wasn't going to let every single criminal in here get away with all of their crimes and hurting so many innocent people.
a few weeks later,her parents moved out of grimsborough.
taking the sins of the past with them,kept in her memories.
now,all of you must be wondering by now,what was the little girl's name? the one who was going to become the best cop in her future generation?
her name is lazara gravestone and she is going to be one of the best cops the world has ever seen in their entire lives.
no matter what was going to happen to her,she was going to bring justice grimsborough,who deserved to be a safe place for people to live in.
