She sighs, leaning back against the chair at the Last Stand, rolling her poor neck to crack it and stretch her poor aching muscles. Thancred sits across from her, similarly sore and tired as he rests his head against the table, next to his slowly cooling coffee.
The two had been doing hunt after hunt for the Sharlyean Hunt masters, and while Genesis was more than happy that Thancred was happy to join her, there was still a part of her that wanted to make up for the light hell they went through after this weeks extremely annoying and painful line-up.
As she kept thinking of what to do, or say that might help to ease him, she felt a metal knuckle rap lightly against the side of her head. She knew at once it was her soul mate, Ardbert. Not like her love Guinevere, he was much more literally his soul mate, after being bonded with him as they defeated a grieving and broken Emet-Selch in the First.
She looked up to him smiling softly as she looked over his pale ghostly mein. Finding out she had been able to not only hear, but could still fully interact with her had been such a blessing for the two of them, and had largely been what contributed to their relationship now. They would often still lie together, keeping each other company in the long nights she had to be away from her wife, and she was always happy to know he was there.
He looked down at her as he brought his hand up to per of softly, softly messing her hair up in the process. He smiled softly, a mischievous glint I'm his eyes as he offered a suggestion, "Why don't I try and lend a hand, lest you think you can do a better job...". She felt her face and ears spill into a light blush, closing her eyes as she nods and lets him take the reigns.

"What, 'sall that fire already burned out of you?"
Thancred's head snapped up, looking very confused as his friend suddenly sat straight up, squaring her shoulders as a very familiar voice came from her, one he had not heard in many years...
His eyes widened in shock, head cocking as he tried to see if this was some sort of trick, but sure enough that same hard glint was shining in her eyes, with her looking to him with that stupid snarky grin he didn't know whether or not he'd puch off, or gods knows what.
"Ardbert?" He asked incredioulessly, still dumbfounded by the sudden possession of.his usually meek but powerful comrade. She let out a hearty chuckle as she brought her boots on the the table, crossing her arms indignantly as she, well in this case he supposed it was right to call her "he" in this scenario.
He laughed softly and shook his head, rolling his eyes as he leaned back, similarly crossing his arms and giving a heated look across to him.
"Aye" he said, still smirking as the wind tossed his hair, with Thancred still reeling and staring incredulously, "You know it's quite impolite to stare, even if someone's come back from the dead", he remarked simply, with the both of them looking across at one another before laughing loudly, enough to piss off any nearby scholars to the both of their delights.
They rushed up to hug each other, Ardbert switching to warrior for a extra little comfort, smiling as he saw the recreation of his beloved Bravia that she used to this day. He laughed and picked Thancred up, the two of them laughing like school boys all the while, finally throwing his arm over the man's shoulder as Thancred lead him away, the two of them catching up on all the lost time...

As the sunset on Sharlyean, the pair had climbed up to the roof of the Students If Baldesion Annex to watching the sunset. It had been easy for him to adjust to having Ardbert around in his friends body, but he was also glad that it was just the two of them...
None of the other scions had know how he felt, how guilty he was when he had fallen for the warrior so quickly, even when the solace he had found in Uri had helped him settled down, at least for the most part.
But he was here again, and things could be made right. Even if Ardy was in his best friends body, he wasn't going to hesitate, not again.
As the pair sat and watched the sunset, they sat shoulder to shoulder, completely relaxed as they let the golden rays fade to fiery orange, then crimson, then a soft pink, and finally purple, their eyes adjusting as the stars fell into view.
Thancred smiled to himself, yawning and moving away ever so slightly to stretch and let his arm rest on the warrior's shoulder. His fingers rested softly around the other man, idly playing with the fur collar on his armor.
Ardbert smirked and quickly put his arm under the gunbreaker, flipping him into his lap and holding him in place as his other hand came up to pull the other man down by his collar to kiss him roughly. The two quickly fell into a steady dance of trying to steal the lead from one another, growling and groaning in pure desire as their feelings finally rose to the surface.
The gunbreaker finally acquiesced, letting Ardbert passionately lead the way as he bit his lip roughly, moaning and sliding his tongue into the other man's mouth as they continued their sloppy display.
Two eventually came up for breath, with Thancred leaning back in the warriors lap as he dreamily smiled to himself. He looked back to the warrior, happy to see the same fire burning in the other man's eyes that he felt blossoming in him.
The pair quickly climbed down, rushing to the warrior of lights personal room in the annex, taking their time to loosen what clothing they could on their way. As they entered the room the warrior shrugged his chest armor off, quickly helping Thancred with his coat before pushing him back into the door, shutting it with a thud. The two barely noticed however as they continued to share their heated kiss, Ardbert moving to bite and suck along the other man's neck and down his shoulder.
He quickly helped the man strip out of his under shirt, breathing him in as he travelled down his chest, placing more fiery, passionate kisses. He latched onto one of the other man's nipples, sucking and biting softly as he wretched more heated groans and pants from him.
Thancred grabbed the other man by the back of the neck, shoving him further down as they locked eyes, with Ardbert quickly recognizing the silent plea in the white haired man's eyes. He gave the man a wolfish grin, leaning down to drag is tongue along the twitching bulge in his pants, earning an honest to goodness moan from the gunbreaker. The man quickly undid his breeches, allowing the warrior to free him and take him quickly into his mouth, winning him more groans and pants and a hand weaving into his own hair.
Ardbert lavished in the other man's taste, happily and sloppily taking every thrush and pant he could. He felt himself bulging against his own pants, his hips rocking all on their own as he continued his ministrations.
The two came together, groaning and panting in sync as Thancred forced the other man's head off his memeber. The two looked to each other with a steaming fervor that neither had felt in quite a long time, and Ardbert began to chuckle and let out a rapturous laugh, with Thancred soon joining as he helped the warrior to his feet.
The two wiped their tears away as they moved to collapse on the bed in the corner of room, eventually drifting off together as they happily enjoyed their joint warmth.

Genesis woke up with a heavy weight on her chest, wiping her eyes blearily as she moved to sit up. When she still couldn't break free she opened her eyes again, letting a gasp out as she found herself thoroughly entwined with her gunbreaker friend. She finally freed herself as she slowly freed herself, giving the man a soft kiss on the cheek as she made a mental note to grill both him and Ardbert about the shennanigans they got up to.
As she happily walked into the bright sun shinning down on Sharlyean, she made her way back down to the Last Stand to get a good breakfast to start her day.
