I Wanna Marry Your Brother

Summary:

Felix Lee, one of the 2.5% of people who are male omegas, and Jisung Bang, a boy who was raised by a male omega, have been best friends since the day they met. Something else they have in common is that they both have crushes on the other's older brother. Chan may be too old for Felix right now since he's only twelve, but hopefully when he grows up, Chan will look at him.

Or, Felix pines uselessly for years and years.

Notes:

Hello! This is my third work of the Chanlix variety! Initially, this was supposed to be a one-shot, but I got 20k words in and was not even halfway through, so I decided that it needed to end up becoming chaptered. I've got two chapters done, but I'm gonna try to stay one chapter ahead, so I'm going to finish the third chapter before I upload the second. It shouldn't be too long because I write around 5k words a day and these chapters seem to be around 10k words.

Another thing I wanted to note before we began is that this story uses the international age system but otherwise tries to be true to Korean culture. THAT BEING SAID, I'm not even close to an expert in Korean culture. If anything seems off, feel free to tell me! I'm a dumb American who is just trying their best!

Anyway, I'm going to be posting content warnings at the beginning of chapters, so here's the first one:

!!WARNING!!
Attempted sexual assault/rape
Some vaguely described violence
Sexism

Chapter 1: 12 to 15

Chapter Text

Felix met Jisung Bang when they were twelve years old and immediately became best friends once they realized that they were only a day apart in age. Jisung referred to him as his “twin,” a nickname that stuck between the two of them. Felix had only moved to Korea the year before, so finally having a friend, let alone a best friend, made his cheeks hurt with how much he was smiling. It was even rarer to have a friend who fully accepted and refused to seriously tease him about his omega nature.

Jisung had figured out that Felix was an omega somehow, despite his determination to keep it a secret while he lived in Korea. However, Jisung kept this information to himself and only asked when they were away from other people, in secret. Felix had been terrified at that moment that he was going to be subject to bullying once again, but Jisung said that he wasn’t about to be mean to him, he just wanted to know how to best support Felix. Felix almost burst out crying at Jisung’s kindness and that feeling only grew over time as Jisung proved that he wasn’t about to tell anyone about Felix’s secret.

Apparently, Jisung had been raised by a male alpha and a male omega, which made sense to Felix; he knew what subtle signs to look for in a male omega. He also knew how to respect Felix’s gender properly due to that. His mother had raised him right and Felix was immensely grateful to have an ally on his side in Korea.

Felix had trouble in Australia with his omega identity, with alpha and beta boys alike bullying him. Felix hadn’t planned on telling anyone outside of his friends that he was an omega when he took the mandatory blood test in his first year in primary school, but one of those so-called friends immediately told everyone when he entrusted them with this information in his fourth year. This led to Felix getting bullied, as he was a male omega, one of the rarest genders to have. The other rarest gender was alpha women, leading to a lot of misconceptions about both genders. His parents didn’t want him to hide his gender, but they also didn’t want him to be bullied as he ended up being. It was a difficult balance that they just couldn’t quite strike.

Felix hadn’t presented yet at twelve years old, although he was due to within the next couple of years. Jisung was a beta, which he seemed to be totally fine with. It was so nice to have someone so confident in his gender when Felix felt so nervous about his gender. He knew he was smaller than other boys, with a prettier face than other boys, and different genitals than other boys. It was something that made him feel shy and a little uncomfortable around boys.

Felix and Jisung mostly hung out at school in the beginning, but they eventually went over to Felix’s house. Felix’s mum and dad were ecstatic to see that Felix had made a friend so quickly and that he was so accepting of Felix’s differences. The cats even seemed to like him, rubbing up against his calves. Minho was wary, but that’s because Minho was Minho. He didn’t trust Felix’s friends usually, since Felix had been betrayed so often before.

Felix pretty quickly figured out that Jisung had a crush on Felix’s older brother. Every time Jisung came over to his house, (and after the first time, it was fairly often) his eyes would widen when he saw Minho and his ears would turn red. Felix couldn’t help but think that it was adorable. They didn’t talk about it at first, until one day, while they were doing homework and eating snacks in Felix’s room one day, they talked about it.

“So… About Minho-hyung…” Felix began, his words slow.

Jisung’s cheeks turned red at just those first words. “Oh, yeah? Is something up with him?”

“Sungie, you have a crush on him, don’t you?” Felix asked, cooing a little.

“I– what! No? No! I definitely don’t!” Jisung said, his whole face turning red.

“Hey, hey, hey, it’s okay,” Felix said with a laugh, clapping a hand on his friend’s knee. “I’m not mad, I’m just wondering.”

“Oh my goood,” Jisung groaned, falling backwards onto the floor. “He totally knows, doesn’t he? I’m being so obvious, even I can tell!”

“I don’t think he’s noticed,” Felix said, flopping down next to Jisung with a little grin on his face. “Besides, wouldn’t it be great if you married my brother? We could really be brothers, then!”

“Yongbokkie…” Jisung whined. “Does he even know I exist?”

“I don’t think he knows that anyone exists besides our cats,” Felix said flatly.

“Oh god, I’m so lame,” Jisung groaned. “I just looked at him that first time he picked you up after school and it was like- like my heart almost exploded, ya know? Like, it’s insane, you know? I’ve had a couple of crushes before, but nothing like this!”

Felix’s grin grew a little wider and he began tickling Jisung’s side as he said, “Ohhh, maybe you’re soulmates!”

Jisung shrieked and rolled away from Felix, his cheeks bright red. “Shut up, shut up, shut up! Oh my god!”

Felix laughed, but he also hoped it was true. Jisung was his best friend and he really wanted to be close to him always. Besides, even if Minho didn’t really talk about Jisung outside of their occasional conversation, Minho did seem to look at Jisung when Jisung wasn’t paying attention. He was a third year, so he was just about two years older than the other two boys, which meant that he probably wasn’t interested in someone so much younger than him. However, Felix could dream.

“For real, though,” Felix said with a sigh. “What even made you like my brother? He’s kind of a weirdo. Like, I love him so much and he’s really sweet to me, but I know that he can be odd.”

“Oh, god, I don’t know,” Jisung grumbled. “I just feel this weird pull towards him. Like, don’t get me wrong, he’s really, really cute. Sort of like you, but I definitely don’t feel this way about you. I feel like… I don’t know, his weirdness is part of his attractiveness? I’ve never met anyone like him. He’s so different and he doesn’t look down on me for being younger and… ahhh, god, I’m so lame!”

“No, you’re not!” Felix exclaimed. “When I get a crush, I can promise you that I’ll be a lot worse.”

Jisung raised an eyebrow. “Oh yeah?”

Felix snorted. “Yeah, I’m sure. I’m sure I’ll fall in love with some sort of big, strong alpha and then I’ll be falling all over myself to get to them. I’ll be cringy and lame and I’m sure I’ll be totally obsessed!”

“I can’t wait to see that!” Jisung grinned.

Felix and Jisung mostly stayed over at Felix’s house, for the sake of Jisung’s fat crush on Felix’s brother. The first few times that Felix did go over to Jisung’s house, despite having an older brother, Felix did not meet him. He apparently was on the swim team, so he often stayed late. Felix didn’t think much of it, figuring that it was just his twin’s brother, so there was nothing special going on there.

That all changed when he met the infamous Bang Chan.

Felix and Jisung walked into Jisung’s family’s apartment, with Jisung kicking off his shoes sloppily as he spoke excitedly about the fact that a girl had kicked an asshole bully in the balls today and how that guy was probably never going to have kids. Just then, from down the hall, a head popped out and Felix felt like the world stopped turning.

“Oh, hey, Sungie!” the older teen said, fully coming around the corner with a wide smile on his face. “Who’s your friend? Is this the infamous Felix?”

Felt had completely stopped breathing at that point, his face bright red. He looked at the curly-haired boy with a wide nose who was smiling so warmly at him and felt like his brain had broken. Felix felt something warm and shaky blooming in his stomach and it only got worse as he saw the boy’s arms which were, despite his young age, already shaping up to be muscular.

“Yeah, this is Felix or Yongbok! Felix, this is Chan-hyung!” Jisung said, grinning widely.

Chan casually walked down the hall and gave Felix a quick bow. “Nice to meet you, Felix. Jisung’s told me all about you. You came here from Australia, right?”

“O- oh, y- yeah,” Felix stuttered, mentally cursing himself out for the embarrassing fumble of words.

“That’s cool. I’m sure he’s told you that we lived there up until I was seven, then we spent two years in England before we finally moved to Korea,” Chan said.

“Oh, yeah, of course,” Felix said, nodding, trying to act like he wasn’t dying from just meeting this boy.

Part of the reason why Felix and Jisung got along so well despite Felix’s somewhat limited Korean was that Jisung spoke a fair bit of English. While Felix naturally had an Australian accent from living there up until he was eleven, Jisung funnily enough had an English accent, despite initially learning the language in Australia. He apparently really quickly lost his Australian accent and replaced it with the English one.

“We’re going to my room,” Jisung exclaimed, grabbing Felix’s wrist. “See you later, hyung!”

“Cool! I’ll call you down when Mum’s got dinner ready,” Chan said, giving them a little wave as he tugged Felix right past him.

“Thanks, love your smelly old man face, bye!” Jisung called over, opening the door to his room and tugging Felix inside.

Felix quietly followed, sparing one last glance over his shoulder at Chan. Chan was smiling nonchalantly, watching him through slightly crinkled eyes. Felix felt his heart skip a beat before he was pulled fully into the bedroom. Jisung tugged him over to the bed and pushed him onto it, surprising Felix a bit. However, he easily went down, sitting on the green dinosaur sheets. Jisung plopped himself down beside Felix, looking at him seriously.

“Felix, my precious twin,” Jisung said seriously, grabbing both of Felix’s hands. “You know that Chan is an alpha, right?”

Felix squirmed in his seat, face turning more and more red. “I mean… not until now…”

“What if…” Jisung wiggled his eyebrows. “We dated each other’s brothers?”

“J- Jisung!” Felix squeaked, his voice cracking noisily.

“Come on, I’m not dumb! The way you totally froze up in front of Chan like that…” Jisung looked smug. “You’ve barely even met Chan but you already have the hots for him.”

“Isn’t he three years older than us?” Felix said, anxiety curling in his gut. “There’s no way it’s going to happen, Sungie.”

“I’m not saying right now, but when you fully bloom into your beautiful omega adult self, he’ll have no choice but to completely and utterly fall in love with you! And when I’m a big, buff man, Minho-hyung will have no choice but to fall into my arms like the gorgeous maiden he is,” Jisung said, huffing proudly.

Felix rolled his eyes. “Minho is an alpha and you know that.”

“So? He can still be a gorgeous maiden as an alpha,” Jisung snorted.

“Yeah, okay. Let’s say I go along with this plan. Does that mean I’m waiting, what? At least six years for him? I’m not about to do that,” Felix said with a frown.

“Aww, come on!” Jisung whined, grabbed Felix’s shoulder, and shook him. “We could be double brothers, Bbokie! Don’t you want to be brothers?”

“Of course I do!” Felix exclaimed. “But that’s, like, so far down the line! Besides, even if I do magically bloom into a beautiful omega, who’s to say he’s not going to be dating someone else or he won’t look at me just as his little brother’s best friend?”

“You gotta believe!” Jisung groaned. “Come on, at least say you’ll think about it!”

Felix sighed and allowed his head to drop. “Fine, fine, I’ll consider it.”

“Thank you, my lovely baby!” Jisung exclaimed, wrapping Felix in a hug and pressing their cheeks together.

“Yeah, yeah, Jisung, you’re lucky you’re my best friend,” Felix complained.

Although they did start to go over to Jisung’s house more often, they still mainly hung out at Felix’s place. Felix was fine with that, to be honest. Any time he went over to Jisung’s house and Chan happened to be there, Felix felt like he might pass out. He was just so nice and kind and hot . Felix had never encountered an older boy quite like Chan, outside of Minho. Minho was soft and caring in private, but Chan was always willing to give him and Jisung affection. He took care of them when Jisung and Chan’s mum was out of the house, making sure to feed them and get them to sleep at a reasonable time. Felix was utterly enchanted.

Felix knew it was silly, but everything about Chan made him feel floaty and shy. He did his best to act normal, but even the slightest brush of a hand up against him made him turn into a flustered mess. He couldn’t hold it in and blushed deep red every time Chan smiled at him. He honestly couldn’t even believe it; he had never really had a crush before, but goddamn if he wasn’t completely into Chan.

When Felix was in his second year of middle school, he woke up in the middle of the night sweating. The room was cool, but he was hot. He kicked his blankets off, groaning before he suddenly realized how damn wet he was. Felix’s face would have flushed if it weren’t for the fact that it already was flushed. He then became aware of how much he could smell himself, an overpowering sweet scent of caramel and apples. He could smell it emanating from him all throughout the room.

Felix grabbed his phone, his hands shaking as he read that it was barely six in the morning. He knew what this all meant, he had been prepared for it in a sex education class he took in his sixth year of primary school. He called his mother, Jia, feeling dizzy. She picked up the phone really quickly, her voice shaking as she answered the phone.

“Felix? Sweetie? What’s going on?” she asked.

Felix took a second to gather his mind enough to reply properly. “I… My first heat…”

“Oh, sweetie,” Jia said, sounding distressed. “I’m on the way.”

Felix waited for what felt like forever, removing his shirt at one point. He was hot, achy in his abdomen, and so fucking wet. He had never been this wet before and it was making him extremely embarrassed. His mother came into his bedroom, carrying his favorite snacks, medicine, and a water bottle. She placed them on his bedside table before sitting beside him.

“So, Felix,” Jia said, letting out a deep breath. “How much do you know about heats?”

“Just mostly that I need an alpha’s knot to make it calm down and that my pheromones attract alphas,” Felix mumbled.

“Yeah, that’s the basics,” she replied. “But do you know how to deal with it before you’re old enough and willing to share it with an alpha?”

“Not really,” Felix admitted.

His mother nodded and sighed softly. “They don’t teach a lot in sex ed. Basically, for at least now, you’re going to be experiencing heightened sexual desire. It’s nothing like in the movies, you won’t completely lose your mind, but it will be something like being intoxicated. When you are fully in your heat, you cannot consent. I need you to be aware of that, sweetheart. Anybody who says that you agreed while you’re fully in heat when you wouldn’t have agreed outside of your heat doesn’t understand how heats work and it is rape, okay? No matter what anyone else says, that is rape, Felix.”

Felix nodded, eyes wide since he hadn’t known that at all. “O- okay… what about being without a knot? What do I do?”

“When you’re a couple of years older, we can get you a knotting dildo, okay? When you’re in high school, you’ll be bigger and your body will be more ready to actually take a knot. For now, if you want to, masturbate like normal. You don’t have to, but it will help your body deal with the stress. I don’t know if you’ve ever used your fingers inside, but you’re probably going to want to do that. Have you ever nested before, either?” she asked.

Felix shook his head, trying not to die of embarrassment by his mother’s words. “No… I haven’t.”

“Okay, sweetie. A nest can be made of almost anything that’s made of cloth, like blankets, clothes, pillows, and things like that. We’ll get you some blankets and used shirts. It’s really important that it’s made up of familiar scents of people you love. For my heats, I always make sure to have at least one shirt from everyone in the household. The most important thing when you’re older is to have your partner’s scent. It helps an incredible amount,” she said, nodding.

Felix nodded, swallowing. For some reason, (his heat probably) Felix found the thought of being surrounded by his brother’s and his parent’s incredibly attractive. However, more than that, he wanted to be surrounded by Chan’s scent. He had only caught whiffs of the scent, but it was like cedar and vanilla. It only further entranced Felix, but he knew that, at thirteen years old, he wasn’t old enough to be doing such things. He logically knew he should wait until he was an adult, but he secretly wanted it as well. It was his natural drive, after all.

Jia promised to bring him breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as any snacks he needed. She was just a text away, she promised. Felix picked up his phone and texted Jisung that he wouldn’t be at school today because of his heat. Heats could last anywhere from a day to five days, but most people’s lasted three days. That meant that Felix would have to suffer for a little while.

Jisung messaged him back thirty minutes together, just as his mind was starting to go, saying that he would be sending over good vibes. He also asked if he could possibly talk about it with his family since Jisung still hadn’t told his family that Felix was an omega. Felix told him that it was fine and that he probably wouldn’t be responding much from here on out. It was just too damn hot and he was so fucking wet… He couldn’t focus on anything else anymore.

Felix quickly discovered how utterly difficult it was to deal with his heat with no partner, though. His mind got fuzzy as time went on and it got more difficult to fully understand what was going on. He had taken some medication to help with the cramping from the lack of a knot, but he couldn’t help but stick his forefinger and middle finger inside. It wasn’t nearly enough, but it made it a little better.

It took Felix four grueling days to get through his heat. During that time, he only saw his mother, since Jia was the only one who really got what was going on. She thankfully always knocked before entering so Felix, consistently trying to reach satisfaction, would have a few seconds to either say, “Please don’t come in yet!” or “Please come in!” During the hours that he didn’t want to masturbate, he spent his time watching gaming videos online or playing games on his shitty laptop.

When his heat ended, his mother brought him to the doctor for those with vulvas. He felt the curious looks that the women had in the office toward him. He knew that five percent of men were male omegas, so naturally, it drew people’s attention when they found out he was one. The way Jia was openly consoling him, it was obvious to anyone around that he was the one going in for his first exam and he wasn’t just hanging out with his mother while she went to the doctor.

Felix would have to have his heat every three months from then on, with suppressants for the other two months between. According to his doctor, it was for the sake of keeping his ability to have children safe, since he needed to have a heat every once in a while to keep his body’s hormones in order. He also had to do an exam, which made him extremely nervous, but his mother was there, holding his hand.

Felix knew his genitalia looked different from most peoples’. He had a vulva and a vagina, yes, but his “clitoris” was oversized, about half the size of his pinkie.  It also did connect to his urethra, so he could urinate from this mini “penis.” There was no real head to it, so it was somewhere between a clitoris and a penis. He couldn’t ejaculate from it, but he did get pleasure from touching it and it did get slightly erect and hard. So, knowing that he did have this different set of genitals from the majority of other men made him embarrassed.

Jisung was excited to see him back at school, wrapping an arm around his shoulders from behind while Felix sat at his desk. “Well, well, well, look at who’s a presented boy!”

Felix’s cheeks flushed and he whined, “Nooo, we don’t talk about it here, Sungie!”

“Do we talk about it at your house then? I’ve missed seeing Minho,” Jisung said while he wiggled his eyebrows.

Felix rolled his eyes, but he smiled. “Yes, we can go to my house after school.”

“I can’t believe you presented before me, though,” Jisung grumbled into Felix’s ear. “Not fair.”

“Betas present later than omegas and alphas,” Felix reminded him casually.

“Yeah, yeah, whatever you say,” Jisung whined, standing up straight.

That evening, Jisung was welcomed over to Felix’s house. Minho, now in high school, had to spend a lot more time at school, so he wouldn’t be back until a bit later, much to Jisung’s despair. They went into Felix’s room to study and talk and Jisung commented that it smelled strongly like Felix in there despite the boy’s heavy attempt to air it out, especially the caramel side of his scent. Felix blushed, but Jisung didn’t seem bothered by it.

“So, my mum suspected that you were an omega, but my dad and Chan-hyung had no idea,” Jisung said, popping a chip in his mouth. “Although Chan-hyung did say that it made sense that you were since you were so pretty.”

Felix’s flush only increased. “He- he called me pretty?”

Jisung grinned. “He sure did. Do you still think you have no chance?”

Felix squirmed. “I mean… probably not!”

“You gotta come over on Sunday! That way you’ll see hyung and you get to show off how your scent has developed through your presentation!” Jisung said, giggling loudly.

“Yah, he’s not going to fall for me!” Felix groaned, smacking Jisung. “You’re the worst!”

“For real, though, my mum’s only met a couple of other male omegas, so he’d be happy to talk with you and maybe answer any questions you have,” Jisung said, grinning.

Felix was hesitant. “He… he would want to answer my questions?”

Jisung snorted. “Yeah, of course! I think he secretly wanted an omega kid so he could have someone who’s like him, but that didn’t happen, obviously. So, if anything, I’d be doing him a favor. And you could always actually be his son, once you marry Chan-hyung.”

“Oh my god, stooop,” Felix groaned, rolling his eyes. “Your brother’s great, but he’s not going to be interested in me!”

“He will! And Minho’s gonna be interested in me,” Jisung said, huffing loudly. “It’s just a matter of time.”

“Whatever you say,” Felix said with a sigh.

Felix really wasn’t sure about this whole “marrying each other’s brothers” thing, because, although he was deeply fond of Chan, he wasn’t sure that these feelings would last. It was true, Felix felt like this was an intense crush, but it would surely go away after a while. That’s what he was counting on, at least, because if he fell for Chan any further, he wasn’t sure he would be able to fall out of Chan.

Felix did go over to Jisung’s apartment that Sunday, wearing an oversized, soft, cream sweatshirt. He felt like he looked especially cute with it on and admittedly, he was a bit nervous about how they would treat him now that he had presented. He didn’t think they would treat him that much differently, but the only people he was really close with that knew at this point that he was an omega were his family.

Jisung opened the door for him almost immediately after Felix knocked, grinning widely. “Hey, Lixie! Come on in! My mum made lunch!”

Felix nodded and followed Jisung in, eyes wide. Jisung’s mother and Chan were in the kitchen, putting the final touches on their kimchi stew. Jisung’s mother, Eun, smiled warmly at Felix when he walked in. Eun had a mop of curly hair and was short, around 165 centimeters. However, Felix was still shorter than him, as he had yet to hit his growth spurt. He was getting close, though, and would hopefully be at least a little bit taller. He knew that as an omega, he probably wasn’t about to get super tall, but he was hoping for 170 centimeters at least.

“Hi, Yongbok-ah,” he said. “The house felt quiet without you hear for the past week.”

Felix gave a quick bow. “Sorry, I was, uh, busy.”

“We know, dear,” Eun said with a laugh. “Chan, will you get the bowls and place them? Jisung, will you serve the rice please?”

“Sure thing, Mum,” Chan said with a smile before glancing at Felix. “Good to see you, Felix. How are you doing with everything?”

Felix felt embarrassment coloring his cheeks. He did not want to talk about this with his alpha crush. “Oh, um, I’m fine. Thank you.”

“Chan won’t be weird about your heats, I promise,” Jisung said, grinning as he playfully shoved Felix. “Now, go sit down.”

Felix still couldn’t help but feel shy, taking a seat. This was something he tried to mostly keep to himself about with even his brother and father, so talking about it in front of his crush… He honestly kind of wanted to die. Felix sat down at the table, trying not to steal too many glances at Chan. His warm smile made butterflies swarm in his stomach and Felix couldn’t help but feel his pulse; it was definitely elevated around Chan.

As they all sat down, Eun sat in front of Felix while Jisung sat on Felix’s left. Chan sat beside his mother, despite Felix wishing that he would sit next to him. It was a ridiculous hope, Chan probably barely thought of him. If he did think of Felix, then it was as nothing more than his little brother’s best friend. Felix was in his second year of middle school, he wasn’t even fourteen yet. Chan was sixteen, in his second year of high school. Of course he wouldn’t consider looking at Felix.

“Felix, how are you doing? Did you get put on suppressants?” Eun asked warmly.

“Uh, yes. I have to take them for two months, then I’m off them for one month,” Felix said with a little nod.

“That’s pretty normal. Because of our excess testosterone in comparison to female omegas, we have to have our heats a bit more often. Female omegas are lucky and can have them every six months,” Eun said with a laugh.

“I didn’t know that,” Felix admitted, anxiously glancing at Jisung who seemed to be more focused on eating on his tofu. “Thank you for teaching me.”

Eun smiled, their eyes changing into crescent moons. “Felix, when you get older, you should marry Jisung. I’d love to have you as a son-in-law.”

Felix choked on the piece of kimchi he had been eating, his face turning bright red. He was not about to marry Jisung, not now, not ever. He was like a brother to him. Speaking of, Jisung looked absolutely disgusted, while Chan looked amused. It was only natural that Chan was amused and not jealous. He didn’t think of Felix that way.

“Mum!” Jisung complained. “That’s so gross! I don’t like Felix that way, he’s like a precious little brother! His older brother is where it’s at!”

Chan raised an eyebrow. “You like Felix’s older brother?”

“Yeah, Minho-hyung is so cool,” Jisung exclaimed, sitting up a little. “He’s funny and weird and great!”

“Weird is good?” Eun asked, looking amused.

“I like weird. That’s why I like Felix,” Jisung said, grinning.

“Hey, hey, hey!” Felix exclaimed.

“All right, so if you’re intent on marrying Felix’s brother, then Felix will just have to marry Chan,” Eun said casually.

If Felix was red before, he was crimson now. His eyes went wide and he couldn’t find any words, instead making a choking noise. Jisung’s face split into a grin and he started laughing. Felix anxiously looked at Chan and he looked like he was a mix between embarrassed and amused at his mother’s suggestion. Their eyes met for all of a second before Felix fixed his eyes on his food, unable to take even one more millisecond of looking into Chan’s eyes.

“Come on, Mum, you’re embarrassing him,” Chan said, sounding a bit exasperated.

“I’m just saying,” Eun said mildly. “I want him as my son. If Jisung’s not willing, I know that you’re not interested in anyone right now.”

“Yeah, but that doesn’t mean I’m interested in my little brother’s friend,” he pointed out.

“Aww, but Felix is so cute! He’s so sweet and smiley, how could you not fall for him?” Jisung asked, wrapping an arm around Felix’s shoulders.

“Jisung, stop,” Felix whined, attempting to push Jisung away.

“No, no, if I’m not marrying you, then Chan should!” Jisung exclaimed.

“I hate you,” Felix groaned as he still half-heartedly tried to pull away.

“Felix is a little too young for me,” Chan said dryly. “Give it ten years, then we’ll see.”

That was about the response that Felix expected, but it somehow still hurt. He was luckily already pouting because of Jisung, so his expression didn’t change much. He knew he wasn’t an option, especially not right now, but god damn it, Chan was still who he had a crush on. Although he was so sure that he wouldn’t like Chan for ten years, some part of him did yearn to have Chan like him in ten years.

“Anyway,” Eun said, clearing his throat. “Felix-ah, we’re both male omegas. I know you’re probably a bit nervous to open up to me, especially with an alpha here, but I want you to know that you can come to me with anything, okay? I didn’t have anyone to guide me through the aspects of being a male omega and that was difficult for me as a kid, so I want you to know that I’m here for you. Jisung has never been the best at making friends, so I’m genuinely glad that he has someone like you as well. You’re both good for each other and hopefully, I can be good for you as well.”

Felix smiled a little, brushing his black hair behind his ear. “Thank you so much. I’m… I mean, my mom is an omega, so I’ll probably go to her first, but if there’s something only another male omega would understand, I’ll consider asking you, if that’s okay.”

Eun smiled. “Of course it is, dear. Always feel free to come to me.”

Through the year, Felix and Jisung continued being close to one another. They didn’t make any other friends, but they found that they didn’t mind. They just needed one another. Well, one another and their brothers, but nobody really needed to know that, did they? Felix really didn’t need anyone to know how embarrassingly much he liked Chan.

Felix and Jisung ended up having a joint fourteenth birthday party, in which all of their families got together at the Lee household since it was a bit bigger than the Bang’s home. There was cake and they played video games together. Their parents visited, with Jia and Eun speaking quietly but happily. They seemed to get along really well, which was nice for Felix and Jisung; they didn’t want their parents forbidding them from seeing one another.

When it came time for the presents, Jisung went first, receiving a new copy of a game that they had been talking about playing together from his parents and some noise-canceling headphones from Felix’s family that he desperately needed during his anxiety attacks. Felix expected to go next, but much to his surprise, Minho got Jisung a birthday gift separate from what Felix and his parents got for Jisung; it wasn’t anything insane or expensive, but the fact that he got anything for him at all was surprising. It was simply a silver, thinly chained necklace with a squirrel pendant.

“You look like a squirrel when you eat,” Minho explained, looking slightly uncomfortable but pushing through it. “It suits you.”

Jisung looked like he was about to burst into tears. “Minho-hyung, I love it so much! Thank you!”

“Ahh, don’t make me regret giving it to you!” Minho complained, slumping back against the wall he was leaning against. “You’re just… Listen, I’m glad you became friends with Felix, okay? You’re not judgemental, you take care of him well, and you’re fun. I trust you, yeah?”

Jisung really did burst into tears at that point. “Minho-hyuuung!”

Minho rolled his eyes, but he couldn’t hide the slightly pleased look on his face from Felix. It had taken a year and a half, but Minho had finally fully warmed up to Jisung. Felix glanced at Chan, who had taken up leaning against the opposite wall from Minho. He was staring at Minho, probably trying to deduce if Minho was good enough for his little brother. Felix silently wished that he would consider looking over at Felix, but he knew it wasn’t going to happen.

Felix received a new, special edition controller that was themed after one of his favorite video games and a cute set of matching bracelets with Jisung. He absolutely loved the controller and was planning on using it while he and Jisung played that new game. He did not receive a specific gift from Chan, but he told himself that that was okay. He didn’t need a gift from him. His being at Felix’s birthday party was enough.

Felix and Jisung got through the rest of their second year of middle school with little issue. The only thing that really changed was that Chan and Minho had started to become closer. They went to the same school, and although they were in different grades, they met up in the cafeteria quite often and chatted about this and that. They didn’t sit together every day, but it was at least once a week.

As the next school year started, Felix saw less and less of both of the older brothers. When Chan wasn’t in school, he was at cram school. According to Jisung, he didn’t get home until well after midnight most nights. Even on Sundays, he seemed to be busy studying with a group of friends at the local library. Minho wasn’t too much better, as he had started cram school now and was working hard to get good grades so he could get into the local university Felix knew that would be him in a couple of years, but for now, he was enjoying his little bits of freedom. He still had to do self-study after school so he could get into the same high school as Minho, but it was bearable with Jisung by his side.

However, during the times when Felix did see Chan, Chan was even more unbearably kind than before. Felix was beginning to come to terms with the fact that this crush he had on Chan wasn’t about to go away. He had expected it to fade by this point and be replaced with someone else, but his heart still pounded like it did that first day whenever he saw the other boy. This was definitely forming into a first love, but Felix couldn’t handle the thought of that, so he blatantly ignored those feelings.

Felix was, overall, doing well during his third year. That is, until one day when his heat came nearly a week early. Usually, it started in the middle of the month, but it came at the beginning this time. He was at school when he began to start sweating, his scent getting stronger. Between classes, Jisung was the one to say something, although Felix could feel everyone in the class’s gazes. None of them knew for sure that he was an omega, but with the sweetness, everyone had to be thinking that he was one.

“Felix,” Jisung hissed, grabbing Felix’s arm. “You need to take your suppressants, like, now.”

“I didn’t bring them,” Felix whimpered, his voice barely above a whisper as he teared up. “I didn’t think I needed them yet.”

“Lix, you should always have suppressants with you,” Jisung chided softly. “We’ve got to get you home.”

One of the alphas in the class, an unnecessarily big guy named Daehyun, stood up and began making his way to the two smaller students. Felix began panicking because he had seen this guy bully other kids before and while he had left Felix alone up until this point, Felix’s obvious pheromones were begging to be noticed.

“Well, well, well,” Daehyun proclaimed loudly, sneering down at Felix. “Looks like we got a slutty little omega over here!”

“Shut the fuck up, Daehyun!” Jisung snapped, glaring at the older boy before grabbing Felix’s hand and attempting to pull him out of the room. “Come on, Felix, let’s get out of here.”

“Not so fast,” Daehyun said, grabbing Felix’s wrist and jerking him back toward him. “You know, I’ve always been curious if male omegas really do have such a weird cock and pussy, and now that I know one, I can’t help but think that this is a great opportunity!”

Felix’s eyes widened in terror and Jisung growled. “You fucking piece of shit! Let go of him!”

“Nahhh, I don’t think I will,” Daehyun said with a wicked grin before looking at his posse of assholes who had been snickering up until this point. “Come on, guys, let’s all see what Yongbok has been hiding from us!”

“Fuck you! Let me go!” Felix screamed, attempting to pull away.

While Daehyun’s friends got up to grab Jisung, Felix couldn’t help but notice that none of the classmates were doing anything. Some of them were looking away, as though they were ashamed, but a fair few of them were looking on with intrigue. They wanted to know what his fucked up genitals looked like, too.

Jisung was pulled away from Felix by one guy and another one of Daehyun’s friends held Felix’s arms behind his back. Daehyun knelt before Felix, grabbing onto the hem of his pants and unbuttoning them. Felix remembered the taekwondo he had taken in elementary school and the start of middle school and realized that, unless he wanted to be sexually assaulted in front of his classmates right then, he needed to use his self-defense skills. So, naturally, Felix leaned back against the other guy who was holding him for balance before kicking Daehyun straight in the chest, sending the guy careening backward.

“What the fu-” the guy holding Felix’s wrists began before Felix tripped him, sending the guy onto his back, his head crashing loudly against a desk.

Daehyun growled and got up, still not ready to fully go down. He ran at Felix, who stepped aside at the last moment and tripped the bully. Daehyun didn’t fall completely down, catching himself at the last second. He turned to Felix and threw a punch like a boxer while Felix did a palm block before, without even thinking, slamming his fist into Daehyun’s nose. He heard an uncomfortable cracking noise and knew that he had broken it, but some part of him was greatly satisfied by this. Daehyun let out a groan, stumbling backward and bumping into a desk, pushing it up against another.

Felix was sweating extremely hard at this point and while he could stand to give out a couple more kicks and punches, he was falling hard into his heat. He could feel his body aching and, based on Daehyun’s expression, he was simultaneously horny and pissed. Felix knew that if this didn’t end up soon, he might end up getting raped by this asshole in front of all of his classmates, who were currently either leaving the classroom to get a teacher or pressed up against the back wall, trying to stay as far from the fight as they possibly could.

The guy that Felix had tripped earlier grabbed his ankle and forcefully pulled his legs out from under him, with Felix just barely able to save his face from smacking against the ground by slamming his hands on the ground. The grunt was instantly on top of him and hitting his head against the ground. Felix was too dazed to fight back, letting out cries of pain. Although Felix couldn’t see him, Daehyun wiped the blood from his nose and made his way over to the back of Felix, kneeling above his legs and grabbing the hem of his pants, tugging down.

Luckily for Felix, a teacher slammed open the door, growling. “Hey, hey, get off him! That’s enough!”

“Shit,” Daehyun’s friend hissed before getting up.

However, Daehyun was still pulling down Felix’s pants, his eyes dark with hatred and desire. The teacher, seemingly realizing that the fight and Felix’s heat had sent him into his rut, grabbed Daehyun by the back of his shirt, throwing him off Felix. Felix’s head was dizzy and everything looked kind of fuzzy. He felt blood dripping down his face, as well as some swelling. He kind of wished he could just pass out because his face hurt so fucking much, but that wasn’t about to happen, he could tell.

“Felix, Felix, oh my god, are you okay?!” Jisung’s voice came through like he was yelling through water, but Felix was vaguely aware that Jisung was kneeling before him.

“Hurts,” Felix mumbled, attempting to push himself up.

“Don’t get up, don’t get up, don’t even move. Let me pull up your pants, okay? We need to call an ambulance and your mum,” Jisung said, his voice slowly swirling around to behind Felix’s head.

What happened next seemed like a whirl of sights and sounds. The paramedics arrived fairly quickly, giving Daehyun and Felix both emergency suppressants before taking away Felix since he had been the one to receive the more grievous injury. His whole face had swollen up at that point and he heard something about stitches. They hadn’t allowed Jisung to go with him, which only made the situation more confusing and terrifying. There was also a strange sense of drowsiness that kept trying to lull him to sleep, but the paramedics kept talking to him and insisting he stay awake.

Felix was brought to a hospital and given an IV, filling him with regular suppressants and painkillers. Jia was there within twenty minutes of him arriving at the hospital, her eyes wide and filled with tears. Felix attempted to smile for her to show that he was okay, but it ended up looking more like a grimace. Either way, a doctor came in with supplies to suture the deep cut closed.

“What on earth happened?” Jia asked, holding one of his hands with both of hers. “They said you got in a fight!”

Felix shifted very slightly, frowning and feeling shame twist in his stomach. “My heat came early… and an alpha realized that it was my heat and he wanted to see… see what my genitals look like. He and his friends wanted to know, so they tried to take off my clothes.”

Jia let out a strangled noise, tears openly falling from her face. “Oh my god, Felix…”

Felix looked away, embarrassment and humiliation clawing at his insides. “H- he didn’t see, but I… I fought back, you know? But, like, they were both bigger than me and there were two of them against me, so I… Someone got a teacher, but it was almost too late. He almost…”

Finally, the situation really hit Felix. He felt tears stinging in his eyes and he let out a scared sob. Although, in the end, nothing really happened besides the fight, if that teacher had been even a minute slower, Felix was certain that he would have been raped in front of his classmates. He wanted to puke, he was so scared.

“My baby,” Jia whimpered, bringing his hand up to her lips. “I’m so sorry. My baby, I’m so so sorry. I won’t let this stand, I promise. I’ll make sure that he’s removed from that school no matter what.”

Felix wasn’t so sure she would be able to do that, honestly. Daehyun had been a menace for a while, and he’d only gotten community service and had to write a couple of letters. No suspension, no expelling, nothing like that. He was continually let off easy and if he knew this world as well as he thought he did, they would try to blame it on Felix for not bringing his suppressants to class. Disgusting, sexist rhetoric was unfortunately all too common in Korea.

“He has a concussion, no big surprise there,” the doctor said after doing a thorough exam of Felix. “There’s also the obvious swelling, the cut on his hairline, and some bruising around the wrist from where he was grabbed. The majority of the issues are to his head, though. Overall, however, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t make a full recovery. He’ll need to get those stitches out in five days, and we’ll want to keep it wet and covered.

“For his concussion, he’ll need some time to rest. No school tomorrow or the next day and we’ll have him rest at home. No television and no phone until at least two days have passed, you need to rest. Keep the lights down and consider doing relaxing things, like drinking a non-caffeinated tea, taking a warm bath, and listening to soothing music. Do you understand, Felix?”

Felix nodded slowly, sighing. “I understand.”

“Good. Then let’s get you out of here,” the doctor said with a faint smile.

Felix was brought home by his mother after they picked up some medication from the pharmacy. He was dizzy and exhausted from everything, so he pretty much immediately went to his bedroom to take a nap. He closed the curtains and got into some sweats and a tee before curling up in his bed. As his eyes fluttered shut, he tried to ignore the thoughts of Daehyun coming after him.

Felix must have fallen asleep at some point because he was suddenly waking up to the comforting feeling of someone running their hand through his hair. Felix let out a soft whine and opened his eyes, looking up at his older brother, who was seated on the edge of the bed. Minho smiled softly at him, despite the fact that his eyes betrayed his anger. His eyes raked over Felix’s injuries and although he was still attempting to project comfort to Felix, Felix could see that he was pissed.

“Hey, Yongbokkie,” Minho said, his voice just as gentle as his smile. “I heard what happened.”

“Hi, hyung,” Felix mumbled, pulling his hand out from under the covers in order to grab Minho’s. “Shouldn’t you be at cram school?”

“I can miss cram school for one day,” Minho said, shrugging it off. “My little brother is more important.”

“How are you feeling?” Minho asked.

“Shitty,” Felix mumbled.

“Yeah, I bet you are,” Minho murmured. “Don’t worry, sunshine. I’ll kill him and feed him to the cats.”

“The cats don’t deserve that,” Felix joked, a little smile on his face.

“You’re right, they don’t,” Minho agreed. “He’s probably rancid. But I will kill him, don’t worry. Nobody hurts you and gets away with it. I’ve already made a group chat with Jisung-ah and Chan-hyung, and we’re plotting that boy’s murder.”

Felix laughed. “Thank you, but remember to get rid of the evidence. I like you all too much to see you go to jail for murder.”

Minho affectionately squeezed Felix’s hand. “Don’t worry, I will. By the way, Jisung-ah and Chan-hyung are coming over for dinner.”

Felix groaned, not wanting Chan to see how fucked up he looked. He had only gotten sparing glances at himself, but he could feel how swollen his face was. Felix nuzzled into Minho’s hand, curling his body around Minho’s. He was normally pretty for a boy, as he was an omega, but he sure as hell didn’t feel it right now, with his face bruised up and swollen and a giant cut on his face.

“I thought you’d be happy to see them,” Minho murmured.

“I mean… I am, but…” Felix mumbled, squirming a little.

“Is it Chan-hyung?” Minho asked bluntly.

“What?! No, I-” Felix squeaked, his voice cracking loudly.

“I’m going to have to kill him, too, you know,” Minho said, his eyes like ice.

“Hyung,” Felix whimpered, looking up at him with concerned eyes.

“He’s too old for you, Felix,” Minho said, eyebrows raised. “And he’s definitely not good enough.”

“I know he’s too old for me,” Felix groaned. “When did you figure it out?”

“Your birthday last year. Your eyes kept getting drawn back to him. You’re not the most obvious, but you’re definitely not the most subtle, either,” Minho said, playing with one of Felix’s fingers. “You couldn’t get a crush on someone your own age?”

“I’m sorry,” Felix mumbled, thoroughly embarrassed.

“Don’t be sorry, just do better with your next crush, Bokkie,” Minho said, patting his hand. “You’re worse than Jisung-ah as it is.”

Felix jumped a little at that. “Wh- what do you mean?”

“I’m not dumb, Jisung-ah likes me. You’re not the most obvious person in the world, but he is,” Minho said dryly.

“Oh my god,” was all Felix could say.

“Don’t worry, I’m not about to outright reject him. I mean, maybe I will if he asks me right now, but if he waits, then maybe someday I’ll consider him. His personality isn’t bad, he’s good to you, and he likes cats. What else could one need in a boyfriend?” Minho asked, a genuine smile gracing his features.

“Thank you, hyung. He’d be so sad if you turned him down,” Felix said, sighing a bit in relief.

“I know, and then you’d spend all of your time at the Bang’s because he wouldn’t want to see me, and then I’d never see you anymore,” Minho said, lightly smacking Felix’s hand.

“That’s true,” Felix laughed. “Can’t have that. Best to keep it in between for now.”

“Ah, but for real, if Chan tries anything before you graduate high school, tell me so I can castrate him,” Minho said casually.

“Hyung!” Felix squeaked, his voice cracking once again.

Minho let out some wicked laughter before they heard the sound of the doorbell. Minho got up to go get it, saying that it was probably Chan and Jisung. Felix felt his anxiety hitch up a notch despite himself and he pulled up his blankets to his chin. It wouldn’t do much to hide his face, but at least he felt a bit more comfortable.

The door opened a few moments later, with Chan, Minho, and Jisung filtering into the room. Felix couldn’t help but note that they had what looked to be a gift in a bag. The boys waved and smiled, obviously trying to be quiet. Felix couldn’t help but feel a little guilty; Chan shouldn’t have been here. He was in his last year of high school, he needed to be studying.

“Hey, Lixie. You still hurting? Because you don’t look so great,” Jisung said, promptly sitting on the bed exactly where Minho had been just moments before with a look of concern drawn across his face.

“I’m okay right now,” Felix whispered. “The medicine they gave me at the hospital might be wearing off, though, because I’m starting to feel it again.

“I’ll get you some medicine,” Minho said, immediately turning to leave the room.

As soon as Minho was gone, Jisung pushed the gift bag toward Felix. “Channie-hyung picked this out for you.”

“Hey, you helped, too,” Chan said, looking a bit embarrassed at having it all pinned on him.

“Yeah, but you were the one with money to buy it, and you vetoed the octopus that I picked out and went through all of them with me to pick the best one,” Jisung pointed out as Felix slowly sat up, his headache getting worse by the second.

“Octopus?” Felix asked, looking between the two boys in confusion.

Jisung waved him off. “Just open it, it’ll make sense then.”

Felix stared at Jisung for a moment more before he opened the bag, pulling out the contents. He let out a soft gasp as he saw what was inside; a gray, cartoony, plush wolf toy. It was surprisingly soft and had a really cute face. Somehow, with its wide nose and relaxed expression, it reminded Felix of Chan. And the fact that it was bought by Chan… His heart had skipped a few beats.

“Oh my god, it’s so cute,” Felix crooned, smiling up at his friends. “Thank you!”

Jisung grinned while Chan looked a bit embarrassed, the younger saying, “You’re welcome! It was Chan’s idea, too!”

“Jisung, stop,” Chan groaned. “It’s just… I can’t imagine how scary that must have been for you, Felix. You deserve better.”

Felix smiled sweetly, squirming a little. “It was really scary, but I feel so much better with you both here. I appreciate and love you guys so much. Thank you.”

“Anything for you!” Jisung chirped, leaning up against Felix. “You’re my precious Felix!”

“Don’t shout, Jisung-ah,” Minho said as he reentered the bedroom with a glass of water and a couple of pills. “Yongbok’s head hurts.”

“It does,” Felix admitted, looking a bit embarrassed.

“Oh, sorry, Lixie,” Jisung said sheepishly.

Pretty quickly after taking the pain medication, Felix’s dinner was brought to him by Jia. Jia told them to get their own food with a playful wink. The boys all did, going one by one so nobody left Felix alone. Jisung happily chewed on his gimbap and did his best to cheer up Felix. Felix could tell that Jisung was doing his best to be a mood-maker and Felix was grateful. After today, he needed some good laughs.

The next day and the day after, Felix spent his time laying about. He took a long bath, read a little bit of a novel that he had been ignoring in favor of video games, wrote in his journal because yes, he had a journal, and chatted with his mom. It was a lot harder than he expected to stay away from screens, especially since they were his gateway to Jisung. More than anyone else, he definitely missed Jisung. He got to see Minho late at night and he honestly didn’t see Chan that much anyway. No, Jisung, who he saw pretty much every day was who he missed the most.

Felix went to school after his two days were over, grateful to be able to be on his phone. However, what he was not grateful for, was the fact that Daehyun was still in his class. His mother had gone to the school to report what had happened, but they apparently needed to talk to Felix, too. That was something he wasn’t looking forward to, because they would probably need details, and those details were things he didn’t want to remember.

Luckily, he was seated a fair distance away from Daehyun and that asshole didn’t do much that first day besides sneer at him. Felix felt something akin to pride as he saw the plaster on his nose and the way that it was bent. Fucking prick deserved it. Several of the other students openly stared at him between classes, talking amongst themselves as though he were some kind of wild animal that had been let into class. Felix tried to tell himself that it was because his face was still swollen and not because he was an omega, but he had a feeling that it was because of the latter rather than the former.

After class, instead of being allowed to go to self-study with Jisung, he was pulled into one of his teacher’s offices. He felt a strange sense of gratitude that it was one of his female teachers because she might understand a bit better than if it was one of the male teachers.

“So, Lee Felix,” she began, pulling out a notebook and a pen. “Can you tell me what happened three days ago?”

Felix squirmed uncomfortably. “Well, uh… My heat came, like, a week early, and because of that, I didn’t have my suppressants with me. So Jisung and I were going to skip the rest of that class to take me home and get me some suppressants before it got too bad. As we were about to leave, though, Daehyun grabbed me by the wrist and said he wanted to… to see my genitals. Since I’m a male omega.”

The teacher nodded, scribbling down what he was saying. “Okay. So, what did you do?”

Felix cleared his throat, still incredibly uncomfortable. “Well, uh, first, he called over his two friends that are in our class. He had one of them hold Jisung back, and the other one held me. Then he tried to… to remove my clothing…” The teacher nodded once again before giving him a look that encouraged him to continue. “So, because I was scared that I was going to be sexually assaulted in front of the class, I fought back. I used some skills that I had from doing taekwondo for seven years to help myself. I kicked him in the chest and then tripped his friend. Then he tried to run at me so I tripped him, too, but he didn’t fall. So then he threw a punch and I blocked, but then I… I punched him in the face.”

Felix paused, needing a moment to remember exactly what went on. It wasn’t like he wasn’t aware in that situation, but his heat-addled mind and concussion had made it difficult to really understand what was going on. He had been working entirely based on instinct in that fight, trying to do anything to keep himself safe.

“Anyway, the guy I tripped earlier grabbed my ankles and made me fall before he climbed on top of me and started slamming my head into the flooring. And I can’t remember much of went on beyond that because I was so consumed by my head hurting, but I think Daehyun started pulling my clothes off again, because my pants were down when Jisung got to me. I’m pretty sure he was going to try to rape me if that teacher didn’t come in when he did.”

The teacher finished writing her notes before looking at him with a bit of sharpness in her eyes. “I want you to know, first of all, that what you said completely goes against what Park Daehyun said. He claimed that, while on your heat, you came onto him, and when he didn’t give you what you wanted, you assaulted him and his friend.”

Felix felt himself bristling at every word she said, anger biting at him. How dare he? He was literally claiming that Felix wanted it, when Felix had just been trying to get out of the damn school so he could go home and not worry about his stupid heat anymore. Felix wanted to punch him again and maybe rip off his dick. No, there was no maybe about it, Felix wanted to rip off that damn dick and burn it so he could never reattach it.

“Luckily for you, the majority of the students’ stories agree with your side of events. Some did claim that you were spewing your pheromones everywhere on purpose to entice an alpha, but it became pretty clear to them that, at the least, he was not the alpha you wanted. However, that was only a few, the majority retold the events pretty much exactly as you did. And as you were beaten significantly worse than Daehyun and he had a past record while you do not, I’m going to go ahead and believe that your side is telling the truth.”

Despite being irritated that anyone would believe that he was spreading his pheromones on purpose, he did feel himself relax a bit when she said she believed him. However, he couldn’t fully relax, because he did know that schools in Korea were notoriously light on bullies. He was hoping for more than community service, but he knew that the asshole wouldn’t get suspended or transferred.

The teacher continued speaking, writing as she explained to Felix what was going to happen next. “Because of the severity of this incident, I’m going to have him switch classes so that you two won’t be in the same room anymore and he’ll go through special education and psychological treatment. I can’t promise that will fix this, but at the least, it will hopefully be better than before.”

Felix fully relaxed now, gratitude for the teacher overflowing. This was the route he had been hoping for since he knew that Daehyun wasn’t going to get suspended or expelled for this much. Maybe if he had actually succeeded in raping Felix he would have, but for now, this was enough. He really just needed Daehyun out of the classroom, because he knew for a fact that Daehyun would come after him sooner or later.

Daehyun was moved to a different class the next morning, as well as the one of his friends that had slammed Felix’s head into the floor so much, leaving only one of the bullies in the room. Felix could handle that, especially since he was with Jisung, who was eager to move past this. Felix had to admit, he was ready to move past this as well and hopefully never think of it again.

Throughout the rest of the school year, Felix had to deal with bullying. If it wasn’t from the asshole friend of Daehyun’s, it was in the form of people in his class straight up ignoring him. People who had been nice to him before were now blatantly pretending he didn’t exist and jerked away when he accidentally touched them. The stigma of being a male omega was strong, with people thinking that he was “unnatural” or “weird.” Felix just had to accept that things were the same pretty much all around the world when it came down to male omegas.

Jisung finally presented as a beta in December of that year, his scent becoming more pronounced. He smelled like fresh, warm bread, just out of the oven. The two took to scenting each other any chance they got, always a giggly mess after one of them smelled like the other. Felix quietly wished he smelled of cedar and vanilla, while Jisung wanted to smell like ginger. The closest they could get to that was each other, however, so they kept up the intense skinship.

When the school year ended, Felix felt a lot better about the world. Both he and Jisung had gotten into Minho’s high school and they were both nervous and excited to start this new chapter. Felix didn’t want to admit it, but he was kind of sad that he would never get to experience high school with Chan. At least Chan now had a lot more free time to do what he wanted, since he was in college. Not that he would ever admit that he had been thinking that to anyone, even Jisung.

Notes:

Hello, thanks for reading this first chapter! Felix went through a rough chapter, but things will probably be better next chapter. I mean, next chapter he meets Hyunjin, Seungmin, and Jeongin, so that's already a bit better right? Besides, I promise this story will have a fully happy ending. It'll be real soft by the end, I swear it.

I don't know quite yet how many chapters this story will be, but I'm certain it will be less than ten. I'm thinking 6 or 7, but it could be one or two more. We'll see!
