Summer Nights, Cold’s Repose

Summary:

Subscorp Week 2021 prompt: Moon

Notes:

It’s an old fic but. I’m posting this just to have it logged somewhere at this point.

Check out my friend Xygenscenic (who is also my Scorpion) cause anything I write in this fandom links back to our shared characterizations and headcanons.

Work Text:

“Are you enjoying yourself, husband?” Strong fingers kneaded the scar rough skin of Scorpion’s broad chest, hard muscle proving pliable under the skilled hands of the Lin Kuei’s Grandmaster.

“Mm…”

Husband.

What music to his ears, that soft rasp, delivering affectionate inquiries from chilled lips. It made Hanzo nestle into the body behind his, molten heat against the arctic. A fostered warmth between two extremes. It was a matrimony of sun and moon, hot and cold.

Fire, and ice.

“You haven’t spoken, is everything alright?” Kuai Liang asked, hands still cupping his chest. The inquiry was tinged with concern, lending pause to his ministrations. He knew Hanzo like none other, as only one who has met him in battle and lived to tell the tale can. However, he wanted to make sure that this was right, that he received the same pleasure that consumed him. It became apparent to the Shirai Ryu’s Grandmaster that they weren’t to continue until such permission was given.

Hanzo swallowed and nodded, chest heaving.

“Yes, husband.” The endearment was thick and heavy on his tongue, heat washing over him like a cloud of steam.

“Keep going.” Demanded the man, rocking back onto Kuai Liang. Let that be confirmation of his enjoyment. The shudder that rippled through Hanzo when those hands squeezed told him that the message was well received. The cool lips to his temple were an additional gift, nurtured in a heart old enough to hold tight to its sentiments with the strength and fervor of a man in his youth.

“As you wish, Hanzo. As you wish.” With that, Liang was upon him again as the night’s luminous shadows were cast in the quiet of their shared chamber.
