Tommy huffed with a smile on his face as he laid across Techno’s back. He was exhausted but they still had four more chores left to do. The small Piglin child was annoyed that they couldn’t just go back inside now and wait til later.
“Techie…” Tommy whined, hiding his face against Techno’s shoulder blade. He chuffed quietly as he let Tommy climb on him. All they had to do was milk the cows, count the eggs from the chickens, make sure the sheep are all in the pen, and do one round around the property to make sure that there were no breaches.
“Almost done, Theseus.” Techno chuffed a laugh. Tommy made a face as he clung on a bit tighter. The wrap keeping him on Techno’s back was tight enough he didn’t need to, but it still felt nice.
Tommy blinked tiredly as he opened his eyes, finding a crow resting on his shoulder. He stared at it for a moment as Techno conversed with someone. He giggled as a small gold coin was handed to him, gentle as the crow was.
“Theseus?” Techno asked, and Tommy made a noise as he pushed himself up a bit, the crow never moving once.
“Ah, Erilee has decided to take a perch on Tommy.” The man Techno was talking to chuckled lightly.
“Gift…” Tommy murmured, showing the gold coin that he had been gifted.
“Or maybe Erilee has just decided to stay with Tommy forever.” The man laughed, not at all sounding upset by the turn of events.
“That… honestly makes perfect sense.” Technoblade sighed as Tommy giggled.
Tommy made a face at Wilbur, the man’s teenage son. He also found out that the man was named ‘Philza’ but he’d decided to call him ‘Phil’. Wilbur made a face back at him and Tommy let out a giggle. Erilee has definitely decided that she wanted to stay with Tommy indefinitely, so she was perched on the chair just behind Tommy. He’d gifted her a small tiny crown that luckily was small enough to hit on her head.
The magic it took for it to stay, Tommy would never understand. But Erilee was powerful, and the silver crown with the emeralds made her look majestic so it stayed.
“Dad!” Wilbur turned suddenly to face the couch nearby. Phil looked up, quite literally looking like a bird as he did so. “Did we bring my guitar?” He asked, and Phil adopted a small sympathetic expression.
“Sorry Wil, Don’t think we did.” He offered and Wilbur sagged in his seat.
“I think I have one in storage?” Techno offered, “Let me go get it.”
He did have one in storage, and it was a mix of Cherry blossom wood and Dark oak. Wilbur teared up at the sight of it, awe on his face.
Tommy learned that night, and every night after that, that his new brother was amazing with the guitar. And that he had an amazing singing voice.
“Play again?” Tommy asked, laying on the couch with Erilee perched near the window, assuring that they were safe inside.
“Sure, Toms. I’ll play again.” Wilbur smiled brightly.
