the wind was softly moving the leaves when Luke asked Ahsoka "why, why would he do all of this i mean it's obvious that mom would have never cheated on him, she fought for him until the end!" Ahsoka didn't really know how to explain it to him "it's difficult to explain" she said turning away "please try, i need to understand"
ahsoka turned around facing luke she thought about it for a second "imagine that you're wearing a mask" she says while grabbing a black mask adorned with red lotuses that had red lens to cover the eyes "metaphorically or not in your father's case" she gently put the mask on luke "you see, the mask let's you see only what it wants you to see" luke looked at the world now all red with only some soft shades, he was understending in some way what Ahsoka meant "but when you take it off you are able to see the rest in their true colors and if you pay attention you can even see some things that where hidden from you by the mask"
luke putted on the mask again looking through the red lens, some colors where completely distorted while other looked much uglier than they actually where, was this what his father saw through the mask? "but some colors even if distorted or changed keep their beauty" Ahsoka took a gem she ad in her pockets and positioned it infront of the mask's eyes "what do you see little one?" the jedi took the gem in his hands and responded "it's violet a very pretty shade of violet to be honest" ahsoka smiled, she looked strange in the color of the lens.
it took him a minute but when he saw it Luke's breath catched in his throat. her eyes where purple too, it was sure a different shade but it was still purple "your eyes are blue!" luke said in a way that made him sound like a kid who just discovered the sky "so is the stone!" ahsoka laughed in such a way that made her sound like someone who hasn't laughed in a very long time "yes, yes they are". that's when he remembered ..
his father dying in his arms,
"Help me take this mask off," vader said looking at Luke through the shades of red wishing just to see his son with his own eyes for the first and last time "But you'll die," Luke responded holding back tears "Nothing can stop that now."
Luke wanted to scream at him so bad he wanted to tell him he wasn't gonna die but even he knew that it was pointless "Just for once, let me look at you with my own eyes,"
trying to hold them back was useless the tears rolled down his cheeks, he felt so fucking empty, his father wanted to see him for what he was not just for a lie, he wanted to see the true shade of luke's eyes not a distorted reflection, someone hugged him "it's okay little one he is safe now" Ahsoka whispered "because you saved him" she holded him tightly for a minute and than took the boy's face in her hands "Luke" she said more to her self than to him "Padme gave you a perfect name, the light giver, you gave your father back his light"
he smiled with new tears in his eyes and a new awareness, he didn't just save his Anakin he gave him a new hope.
