Dream thought he would be okay with hiding the truth. I mean, young love can’t possibly last forever. And he was about to go off to college and Sapnap was finishing high school. They would stay friends forever even if they break up. They were soulmates. And whatever the hell was going on with George- that would fade away. Dream was determined.
So, as he lurked around at night a few miles from college, finding a human to snack from and then compelled to forget it ever happened, dripping a drop of his own blood onto the wounds to heal them. He never figured a day would come where he would need to tell his best friends and sorta lovers.
Until the day came in 2022, years later, where they all moved in together as streamers and famous people and lovers.
They were happy together, it was great. Plans of marriage and more cats and even adoption. All discussed in the nights before Dream had to sneak away and pretend he was working.
Songs were made, and more plans. And it got harder and harder to sneak away.
And he was always getting sick. He wasn’t feeding enough after the face reveal, he was worried he would feed from a fan or something. He was worried of a lot of things. So he got sick a lot from not feeding. And of course, the human food he had to eat wasn’t all that great. It did nothing for him.
He was born into a family of vampires, he would age to 25 and stop forever. That was his life.
“If we were immortal we wouldn’t need to live everyday like we could leave each other alone.” Sapnap said, one night as the three of them were cuddled together. Dream was waiting for his chance to escape. He had just gotten over being sick and needed to feed or else he would need to run home and pray to some god that he doesn’t start dying or something.
“But knowing we could die is what helps us prove our love everyday.” George responded, kissing both of their cheeks.
Dream let out an awkward chuckle, “yeah, I guess we do love our lives like something could happen.”
“Well- you’re always getting sick.” Sapnap said, “it’s crazy how much you get sick, Baby.”
“We always have to make plans in hopes you don’t catch the flu or something in a foreign place.” George added. “We just don’t like to see you sick.”
Dream shrugged, “Loves, it just happens sometimes.”
“Only after you face revealed- you’ve been in the public more. Are you off running around at night catching colds or something?” Sapnap asked as a joke and Dream bit his lip.
“Don’t bite your lips.. it’ll scar.” George said. “Even with your longer than usual teeth.”
Dream hummed, “I told you before that I heal fast.”
“You’re still human, baby.” Sapnap said. “No one can heal faster than the human body allows.”
Dream groaned, “you guys are idiots.”
“What?” George asked.
“You know, don’t you?”
Sapnap and George laughed, “yes, we’ve known since we moved in.” Sapnap said.
“And we love you even if you are a vampire. We talked to your mum and she said you don’t kill people or whatever.” George finished.
Dream tucked his face into George’s neck since he was in the middle. “I hate you both.”
“We love you too.” George said.
“Now please either feed from one of us or go eat something so you stop getting sick.” Sapnap said and Dream lifted his head looking between the two.
“What?”
George shrugged, “we’re right here. And until we can sucker you into turning us to be together forever, you can feed from us.”
Dream nodded. “Are you sure?”
“Yes, baby, we are sure.” Sapnap promised and Dream’s long fangs appeared from his mouth as his eyes shone a deep red. He pressed a kiss to George’s neck before sinking his teeth into the brunette’s skin. George closed his eyes and hummed as Sapnap ran a hand through his hair.
When Dream was done, he licked the wound a bit and his fangs went away as his eyes went back to emerald green. He kissed George softly, before leaning over the brunette to kiss Sapnap. “Thank you both for being as great as you are.”
“We love you, Clay. All of you.” Sapnap assured.
“He’s right, we do love you.” George said. “And Nick, you need to have him feed from you- it’s actually amazing.”
Dream laughed and laid down to link his hand with Sapnap’s over George. “Maybe tomorrow if Dream needs it.”
They all fell asleep easily that night.
Dream knew he would be okay with the truth. As time went on, he brought Sapnap and George into the immortal life with them.
After making sure they were sure for 2 years over and over.
So, as they lurked around the nights of Florida, stalking prey or even picking up random people at bars. They were doing it together. And a day didn’t come where they weren’t.
Sapnap walked into the house doors and bent down to greet Patches, cooing at her softly. He had been away for 2 weeks visiting Karl.
He snuck upstairs to the room he shared with his now fiancés and was shocked they weren’t there. He hummed a bit and went to Dream’s office, seeing Dream in there. Dream was on call with someone and it looked like a meeting. Sapnap walked over and kissed his cheek.
Dream muted and smiled, “I heard you coming in. Sorry I didn’t come greet you.”
Sapnap only smiled, “it’s alright love, we have forever for you to greet me at the door. But where is George? I expected him to be sleeping in your bed or something.” Sapnap motioned to the empty bed in the room. Dream shook his head.
“I heard him leave a couple hours ago. He didn’t really say anything.” Dream said. “I can stalk him if he doesn’t come home in a few hours.”
Sapnap rolled his eyes, “right, flex that your powers are more heightened than ours why don’t you?”
Dream kissed Sapnap on the nose. “You know I love you, regardless.”
“How long ago did he leave?”
Dream glanced at the time and huffed, “like 6. Which is more than I thought- I just got caught up in the meeting. I’ll go get one of his hoodies to track him with.” Dream excused himself to the meeting and left. Sapnap followed him out of the room.
They tracked George down to the beach where they saw a trail of candles. They followed it and found George sitting on a blanket and watching the sky as the sun would be setting soon. He had a whole plethora of things there for them. It was very obvious he had set up a date and made sure the boys would go looking for him to find it.
They joined him, sitting on either side of him and both leaned a head on a shoulder, watching the sunset.
Dream was content with living forever. Maybe he was unsure at the start, but with Sapnap and George with him forever… he believes he can manage.
