Chapter 1: How it starts

Chapter Text

“I’m so bored!” Han Jisung complained from your bed.

You glared at him in the mirror while you finished winging your liner. “We’re going to a party in like, two hours. You’ll make it.” You started braiding your hair.

“Y/N,” he threw himself back against the pillows. “I’m bored now!”

“You’re always bored!” You gave up on your hair, you knew you were going to have to entertain Jisung. He was incapable of entertaining himself.

“I’m not bored bored…” He trailed, waiting for you to look at him again. “I’m bored bored,” he sat up, his feet kicking a little petulantly.

Your jaw dropped to a small ‘O’ and you quirked an eyebrow. “Jisung!” You spun on your vanity stool. “What do you want me to do about your overwhelming boredom?”

“Come over here and I’ll show you.’ His tongue ran over his bottom lip.

“Horny and bored are not the same thing.” You teased him, turning to resume your hair.

Please, y/n.” He whined with a pout. “I wanna see if I can do it again…” His eyelids lowered and his signature cocky smirk took over his face.

You and Jisung had been hooking up ever since seventh grade. It started when you asked him help you practice kissing so you could be good at it. The summer after that, he asked what your boobs felt like. When you hit 9th grade, you both wanted to figure out what you liked best. This is how you knew Jisung preferred his blow jobs messy, and he know just how to position you over his face.

This summer, you were both starting 11th grade. Jisung took one of his usual “I’m bored” afternoons past your usual antics. You had sex for the first time. God, was it awful. It didn’t last very long and it didn’t feel the best. It wasn’t the worst thing you’d ever experienced. So, you did it often, anytime your cousin was out. Which is how you got to this point. Jisung accidentally made you come two weeks ago, and he’d been dying to do it again ever since.

“Ugh,” you sighed and went over to him. “Fine.” You ran your hands through his hair, while straddling his hips.

“Yeah?” Jisung dropped his gaze to your red lips, warm hands slid up your thighs, pushing your dress up with them. His fingertips leaving goosebumps in their wake.

You nodded, “Don’t take too long, I’ll have to redo my makeup.”

He leaned forward, capturing your lips with his. You rolled your hips against him, experimentally, of course he was already hard. He gasped into your mouth from the added pressure. Giving you easy access to deepen the kiss.

“Sensitive today, yeah?” You smiled into the kiss, dragging your nails across his scalp like he liked.

His grip tightened on your thighs. “Don’t tease,” he pulled away from you mouth going for the sweet spot just beneath your jaw. “It’s not nice.”

You angled your neck, encouraging him stimulate one of your favorite places. You gasped when felt Jisung’s teeth scrape your skin. “No marks.” You pulled him back by his hair, causing him to groan.

“Fine.” His tongue replaced his teeth.

You felt him grip your waist before sliding you off his lap onto your back. His hand slipping under your dress.

“You think you’re so smooth.” You arched your hips so he could remove your underwear.

“Hmm…” He crawled back up to your mouth, holding your underwear between his first two fingers. “Judging by how wet these are, you do too.” He smirked as he flung them over his shoulder.

You covered your face to hide your now flushed cheeks. “Jisung!” You whined.

“Don’t be embarrassed, baby.” He left open-mouthed kisses over your collarbones. “It’s a compliment.” His thigh moved between your legs, pushing them apart. One of his hands resting on your hip, hitching your dress up even higher.

The air against your, now exposed, wet core causing you to inhale sharply. You unbuckle his belt, before you can pop his button fly, he pulls back and kneels above you.

“Want to try something different?” He asked you with his pupils blown and undoing his own fly..

You grinned at him and tucked you chin to your shoulder. “Maybe…”

He pulled you by your wrists to your knees in the middle of your bed with him. “Good.” His hand cupped your cheek before kissing you again.

Eventually, you felt his hand slide behind your neck. Next you felt his body slide behind you, his chest pressing against your back. “Tell me if you want me to stop.” He reminded you, his lips right against your ear.

You nodded, and tilted your head back against his shoulder.

Jisung really was smooth with it. His mouth back on your neck while simultaneously pushing your dress back up to your hips with one hand, gently sliding his fingers through your folds with the other. He was taking his time. The little shit.

A moan escaped your lips when he finally circled to your clit. You felt him smirk against your neck.

You reached behind you, plunging your hand down his open fly. You found him hard and warm, waiting for you. You gave him a few tight strokes before your knees started shaking from his teasing fingers.

“Jisung,” you moaned, his dick twitched in your hand. “Don’t tease, it’s not nice.” You reminded him of his own words.

“I know, flower,” he chuckled. “Hands and knees for me.” He instructed as he guided you with a hand between your shoulder blades. “Elbows if it’s more comfortable.”

You saw his shirt fly over to join your underwear on the floor. Your bedside table drawer slid open. What you saw next caught you a little off guard. The empty condom box flying over your head

“Fuck.” Jisung groaned.

‘You didn’t bring one?” You glanced at him over your shoulder. “There’s a party tonight…”

“No, I didn’t bring one! I wanted to do it first, here…with you.” He huffed.

“You came here with a plan, huh?” You smirked at him.

He swatted your left cheek since it was still up in the air. “Think Seungmin has any?”

“HAH!” You couldn’t contain the chuckle. “I doubt Seungmin even thinks about needing condoms.”

Jisung collapsed against your back with a sigh. “I’ll eat you out if you blow me first, deal?” He offered.

You don’t know what came over you, but what came out of your mouth was something neither of you expected. “It’s okay, you can just go.”

What?” His jaw dropped.

You shrugged. “It’s just once, what could it hurt?”

“You’re fucking with me.” He accused.

“Jisung, just do it.” You pressed your cheek against the mattress and raised your ass a little higher, taunting him with it.

“Yeah, fuck, okay,” he rambled. He pushed his jeans down to his knees, grabbed his dick and rubbed it through your folds. Getting himself good and wet. “Fuck,” He groaned at how warm you felt. “You’re absolutely sure?”

You grabbed his forearm and nodded at him, “Absolutely.”

He placed one hand on your lower back and guided himself into your core. He felt much warmer in you like this. You wouldn’t let it become a habit, but you understood why some people craved sex with no condom.

Jisung’s breath caught when he bottomed out, “I’m not…gonna last.” He grunted.

You rocked forward, causing Jisung to freeze. “What?” You asked

“I need like, two minutes. This is a lot.”

“Should we stop?” You shifted from your elbows to your hands.

“Just let me get used to it.” He held onto your waist, ensuring you wouldn’t move anymore.

He gave his hips an experimental thrust, “fuck yes.” He groaned.

Jisung’s weight pressed against your back and one hand curled around your front. His skillful fingers found your clit and immediately began drawing quick smooth circles while not entirely in time with his thrusts.

His rhythm was all over the place. He jerked his hips more than ever before. It was like the first time all over again. Except this time, he knew what to do with his fingers. He gave you a few hard thrusts in a row, causing you to whine and lower yourself back to the mattress.

“Okay, okay, okay…” he said, breathing heavily and his hips stilling. “You’re gonna have to come from fingers. This is driving me…I can’t do both.”

“S’fine,” you moved your fingers over his to remind him how you liked it.

He kissed, licked, and nibbled your neck, his attempt to get you to finish faster. His hips still not moving.

You couldn’t keep yourself from wriggling as you felt your climax approaching.

“God, y/n. This…” He cut himself off when your walls started clenching around his length and loud moans escaped from deep in your chest.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” Jisung almost yelled. He pulled out of you with such speed you were worried something hurt him.

It wasn’t until you felt a spurt hit your shoulder blade that you realized what happened.

“Did you…” Your breathing still labored from your climax.

“Pretty sure I made it out, yeah.” His breathing also labored.

“I was going to say get it on my dress, but good to know.” You gathered your hair over your shoulder, checking for an unwanted fluids.

“Oh yeah, it’s all over the back.” He started putting himself back in his pants.

You climbed off the bed to check he dress in the mirror. “Damn it, Han Jisung.” You hurriedly cleaned yourself up in the bathroom and dug through your closet for a backup outfit.

“Hey!” You and Jisung jumped. “Y’all done in there yet? Seungmin let me in half an hour ago.” Your friend Will, and ride to the party, called from the living room.

“And you’re just now saying something!” Jisung called.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck yeah I am.” Will mocked you both.

You and Jisung both flipped him your middle fingers and you passed through the living room to the front door.

Melody’s parties weren’t the best parties in your opinion. The only reason you’re even friends with her is because of Will. Her family’s penthouse was better for parties. Her parents were never home and Melody’s nanny disappeared when she turned thirteen.

Your father kept Nanny Tia around just to ruin your social life.

You and twelve oof your nearest and dearest with gathered around Melody’s living room in the mandatory circle of truth or dare. Everyone was picking truth tonight, and that was never fun.

So, when you heard Melody call out “Y/N!” You couldn’t wait to say dare.

“Kiss Jisung.” Melody said with a giggle under her breath

Jisung rolled his eyes with his tongue just slightly poked out the side of his mouth.

“HAH! I’m sorry.” You laughed. “That’s the best dare you came up with?” You pointed a one-eyebrow raised look in her direction. “Lame first dare, but okay…” you trailed as you crawled in Jisung’s lap.

“You didn’t let me finish!” Melody whined with a pout.

“We’re listening.” Jisung glanced over your shoulder, one of his hands caressing your lower back

Melody challenged his irritated gaze. “I was going to say with tongue…in-front of all of us.”

“LAME!” The entire circle of 12 shouted. You thought you even caught Seungmin roll his eyes in jest from his position on the couch.

“They were literally fucking with her bedroom door wide open when I went to pick them up. What on earth makes you think they wouldn’t make out with tongue in a room full of all their friends…again?” Will, Honest Will as your group affectionately called him, always kept the facts on the table.

Your ears heated at Will’s announcement. It wasn’t like it was a big deal. It’s not like it was a secret. Everyone knew you’d hook up when you were bored. That didn’t mean you wanted Will calling you out on him walking in on you earlier either.

“Fine!” Melody huffed. “If you think you can do better, have at it!” She took a drink from her red plastic cup.

“I didn’t say I could do better” Will countered. “I merely pointed out that that’s nothing to them. If you want to waste the dare, go ahead, have y/n kiss him with tongue while we all watch.” Will shrugged his chin into his shoulder.

You and Jisung started laughing at your friends’ ridiculous argument. You were still sitting in his lap, his hands slowly circled your waist. “Why are we even friends with these people?” You whispered as you finally leaned in to start your dare. His eyes closed in anticipation.

Right as your lips finally touched Jisung’s you heard Melody’s shrill “WAIT!”

You pulled back, looked over your shoulder and sighed, “What now?”

Jisung groaned.

“Get his dick out. You have to jerk him off while kissing him.” Melody looked satisfied with herself.

“Now that’s a dare!” James commented from across the circle.

Will hearing you fucking and intentionally performing an act for an audience were two separate things. You didn’t particularly care, you knew Jisung’s body as well as your own, it wouldn’t take that long to do this dare. But you weren’t the one who’s body parts would be on display.

“You okay with it, Ji?” You checked in with him, “I can drink, it’s fine.”

“It’s cool,” he shrugged, “Another night of doing rich kid shit with my friends.” He nodded to the opposite side of the circle. “You okay with it…in front of your baby cousin?”

He had a point, you had a very hard and fast rule when it came to hooking up. You never did anything where Seungmin could see. Sure, he’d seen you kiss some of your boyfriends, but never Han Jisung. He was your everything and Seungmin’s penchant for tattling could get him taken away from you.

Jisung’s chin tilted toward your annoying, tagalong, cousin. Seungmin was two years younger than you and basically your appointed babysitter for every event. Your father couldn’t trust you to behave, because honestly, you never behaved. And Seungmin was his perfect ward who never did anything wrong. So naturally, he was your father’s spy. He lived with you and your father. Seungmin’s parents stayed in Seoul to run the family company based in Korea. Your father stayed in America after he met your mother on business trip scouting locations for an American branch of the company. Seungmin was sent to America when he was 7 and has been a thorn in your side ever since.

Your cousin wasn’t playing the game, he would never. He was doing summer reading on the couch behind all the fun people.

“Seungmin.” You eyed your cousin. “Leave.”

“What?” Seungmin barked, looking up from whatever book he’d brought with him. “I can’t just leave! You brought me here.” Even though he was arguing, he slipped his book in his backpack and pulled out his phone. “And I have to keep you from doing anything stupid.”

“Look at her, Seungmin.” Jisung gestured with his hands. “You’re doing a terrible job tonight.” Han taunted.

You and Seungmin had a stare down of epic proportions, his bottom jaw jutted out, your eyes narrowed, Jisung chuckled, because, you know, you were still in his lap.

“It’s called rideshare,” your tone spat venom, “order one.”

“Fine,” he huffed. “Tell me the address.”

“3247 Park Plaza.” Melody listed off mater-of-factly.

You watched Seungmin type in the address in what you could only assume was the rideshare ap before grabbing his bag and heading to the door.

Be there in 10

With Seungmin out of the way, you finally slid your lips against Jisung’s. One hand sliding to the back of his neck, and the other hand slowly finding its way down his chest and torso. Jisung fully circled your waist with both arms, pulling you closely against his chest. The soft moans he let out when you finally cupped him over his jeans made you smile to yourself and chills run down your spine.

You pulled back to whisper in his ear, “Eager beaver tonight, eh?” You couldn’t stop yourself from nibbling on his ear lobe, pulling on his earring, the way you know he liked.

“Quokka,” he puffed out his cheeks, “never a beaver.” He deadpanned and rolled his hips up against you. His dick already fattening up, “Come on, flower, you’ve got a dare to do…”

You licked a strip from just behind his ear down his neck before moving your mouth back over his. Jisung gave no resistance when you gently stroked his bottom lip with your tongue, politely asking him to open up.

You could kiss Jisung for hours, in fact, you have. You like kissing, and Jisung just so happens to be very good at it. You aren’t in love with each other by any means. At lest you didn’t think you were. He was your best friend in the entire world, your safest place, your comfort. There was nothing in your world that calmed you down faster than the combination of Han’s touch and the smell of his fancy cologne his dad buys him every year for Christmas. Vanilla and citrus meant Han, and Han meant home.

Jisung’s hands moved from your waist to your back pockets. Moving your hips in the rhythm he wanted. You let him. Afterall, he knew what you like best too.

You vaguely registered the whistles and catcalls coming from your friends in the circle. When you finally popped the button on Jisung’s jeans. Melody let out an ungodly shriek right before she fell into a giggling fit.

“Think Melody discovered a new kink.” You laughed as you pulled away to focus on getting Jisung out of his pants.

And that’s when you heard it. Three loud booms on the front door followed quickly by the deep “BPD OPEN UP” right before the door was kicked in. “We received a tip about an underage party at this residence.” The officers stormed in. “You all know the drill, line up against the wall for the obligatory sobriety test before we take you all in.”

There he was. Your great nemesis in life, Officer Reyes. Fun sucker extreme. He’s arrested you three times at these parties in the last six months. Well arrested isn’t the right word. He takes you back to your father in handcuffs who then slips him an indistinct amount of bills before he unlocks the cuffs and goes on his merry way.

You pulled your hand out of Jisung’s pants, rolled your eyes mouthed a “you’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” and climbed off his lap to take your normal position in the line to fail the test.

Jisung stood next to you, pants still undone, still sporting a semi. “You know it was Seungmin.” He mumbled in your ear.

You just crossed your arms over your chest and nodded when you realized the little shit was nowhere to be found.

“Well, well!” Officer Reyes stared at you in his rearview mirror. “If it isn’t my favorite frequent flyers.”

“Shut up”

“Stop gloating” You and Jisung spoke over each other.

Officer Reyes continued to monitor his backseat while navigating the traffic of the city. “What is this, MIP number 6 for you Mr. Han?

Jisung huffed, “You’d know, you’re the one handing them out like candy.” He fidgeted with his cuffed hands in his lap. You hooked your ankle over his.

“That’s true, but this time I get to add indecent exposure and public lewdness”

“Public lewdness!” You quipped. “We weren’t in public. And why even waste your time. Our dads are just going to pay you to say we weren’t there.” You rested your head against the warm glass of the window. The ride seemed to be taking longer than normal. Officer Reyes made wrong turns, missed streets, and sat at every red light possible.

Officer Reyes didn’t respond as he pulled into his, practically assigned, spot at the front of yours and Jisung’s building. He took his time unbuckling his seatbelt, getting out, and letting you both out of the backseat. He marched both of you by your upper arms into the building.

The elevator ride to the 25th floor was silent. Officer Reyes stood between you and Jisung and shushed you anytime you tried to talk which led to giggles. The metal of the cuffs started to irritate your wrists and you really wanted to talk to Jisung who looked like he’d been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

The elevator dinged when it finally arrived on your floor and ending the ride from Hell. Officer Reyes resumed his grip of both your and Jisung’s upper arms and walked you towards your door first, as usual.

Officer Reyes administered the law enforcement protocol 3 hard knocks with the back of his knuckle. “Don’t you ever get tired of this y/n? I know your father is.”

You gave him your best doe eyes and a petulant shrug.

Your door opened slowly, and you could have honestly been knocked over by a feather. For the first time, it wasn’t your father who opened the door open to greet you from your escorted walk of shame. It was your long-time nanny. You noticed your father sitting on the plush white couch shaking his head, fishing out bills from his wallet.

“Nanny!” You rushed to give her a hug before you realized you were still handcuffed. “Daddy.” You greeted as he walked towards Officer Reyes, bills extended.

“Thank you for bringing my daughter home, she won’t be troubling you anymore.” He said with finality.

“My pleasure, as always Mr. Kim.” You mocked your father’s facial features and statement behind Officer Reyes’s back to Jisung.

Officer Reyes finally released your cuffs. You noticed what looked like pity in his eyes. “Don’t worry,” you patted his forearm, “I’ll be fine.”

“Y/N,” your father said in an oddly gentle tone. “Tell Han Jisung goodbye.”

“Goodbye. Han Jisung.” You dropped your voice to mock your father and saluted your best friend.

Jisung smiled so big his eyes disappeared.

You didn’t know it at that moment. That would be the last Han Jisung smile you’d see. If you had known, you’d have saved the mental picture.

You had no idea what was in that concoction Melody served at her party last night. What you did know was that you slept like the dead last night. So, imagine your surprise when you woke to find your room completely void of all your personal belongs. All the pictures of you and your friends gone. The tiara you wore for your seventeenth birthday, gone. The painting of your favorite flower Jisung gave you for your birthday, gone. All that was left were three suitcases by the door. All completely full and zipped tight.

Your hand reached for your phone…which wasn’t on the charging pad next to your bed.

You sat up, the covers pooling around your waist, rubbing your right eye with one hand and the back of your head with the other hand. “What the fuck?” You croaked.

Your bare feet hit the cold hardwood floor and you slowly started padding your way to the kitchen, well, you’d have to stop in the bathroom first. Which was where you noticed everything in there was gone too. You couldn’t even wash your face.

After taking a quick shower to wake yourself up for the argument you were definitely about to have with your father, you shuffled out to the kitchen. Still dragging a travel brush, the only brush left in your bathroom, through your hair.

Seungmin was at the counter, spoon in his mouth, with a bowl of cereal and a muffin in front of him. Your father stood with his arms crossed and his mouth in a line.

“What time is it?” You grumbled at the snitch.

“A little after 9:00.” Seungmin didn’t even look at you, he looked over your shoulder at your dad.

“Morning, Daddy.” You grabbed yourself a muffin. “Can we just get it over with?” You gently leaned against your father’s chest, slowly wrapping your arms around his waist in a hug. “What do I have to promise to get my stuff back?”

Your dad patted your back, rubbing circles on your shoulders. “You aren’t getting it back this time, petal. Last night was the last strike.”

You huffed, “Yeah, sure.” You said sarcastically.

“I’m serious, y/n. That’s the last time Officer Reyes will bring you home. You blew your last chance.”

His hands dropped to his sides and he reached for his morning paper.

You backed away from him in shock. “You’re joking, right.” You felt your face turn red and tears rush to fill your eyes. “Last night was nothing!”

“I can’t do this with you anymore. I will not continue to allow you to behave this way. I’ve let it go on too long. Seungmin’s parents have agreed…”

“Give me my phone!” You cut him off with your foot stomping against the tile.

He took a deep breath, “You, Seungmin, and Nanny Tia are leaving on the family jet in 3 hours. Make sure you eat a good breakfast.”

“Daddy, NO!” You begged. “You can’t do this.” The first traitor tear fell.

Seungmin still sat at the counter, silently picking at his muffin, not looking at you or your father.

“I promise, I’ll be better!” You attempted to hug your father again, he held you back at arm’s length. It looked like Seungmin’s bottom lip quivered. You realized what was next.

“I know you will, my love.” Your father squeezed your shoulders. “In Seoul.”

You all out sobbed. “Please, please, please, Daddy! Don’t do this.” You fell to your knees squeezing yourself to your father’s knees.

Seeing you on your knees begging your father is what finally spurred Seungmin in to action. He came over to you, grabbed you by your arms and hauled you to your feet. “Come on, y/n, don’t make it worse.” He tucked you under his arm. Which gave your father the opportunity to leave the room.

You took a deep breath, gathered all your tears and in a voice barely above a whisper “At least let me call Jisung.”

“I told you to tell him goodbye last night.” Your father responded, completely emotionless as he sat down and flicked his newspaper open. “You will not speak to that boy again.” He said with such finality.

Your lung caught on a sharp inhale.

“Seungmin?” You looked up to him your eyes swimming in unshed tears.

Seungmin had always looked up to you growing up. You were his perfect big cousin, his role model. Sure, you made terrible choices, but your entire group of friends did too. You were the smartest person he’d ever known, confident, talented, went after what you wanted, and you were above all else, always put together. He didn’t know what to do with you when you were like this. Literally shattering to pieces under his arm.

So, he did the only thing he knew to do. He hugged you tight and told you that you would both get through it together as you sobbed into his shirt, soaking it with the tears for your friends, your life, and the only home you’ve ever known. While your father read the fucking newspaper.

You slept most of the flight.

You had just been sent out of your own world.

You felt a kick to your ankle on about hour 10 of the 15-hour flight.

“Psst” Seungmin nudged you harder. “Y/N,” he whispered a little louder.

“What!” You opened one eye and hissed at him. Pointing to Nanny Tia so he’d get the idea not to wake her.

He tossed his backpack to you. “Check the front pocket.” He mouthed and pantomimed a point. “But don’t take it out.”

You did a quick Nanny check to ensure she was still asleep, then followed Seungmin’s motions and pulled open the front pocket. Just when you thought you had no more tears left, some slid past your eyes. In the front pocket of Seungmin’s backpack, wrapped in old issues of Sports Illustrated sat the framed picture of you and Jisung from your seventeenth birthday. You had that jewel encrusted tiara braided into your hair, and Jisung pressed a kiss against your neck with his cheeks puffed up in full quokka mode.

“Seungmin,” you whispered as you tucked the frame back into Seungmin’s bag. “How did you beat Nanny Tia to it?” He reached across the aisle for his bag.

“I snuck in and grabbed it as soon as I got back. He was already on the phone with my dad when I got home.” He shrugged at you like it was nothing.

“And you’re okay with just…picking up and moving to Seoul, after all this time?”

Seungmin inhaled, “It’s not like we have a choice. I’m choosing to make the best of the situation.” He smiled his soft smile at you, the one that doesn’t show his teeth. “Plus, it’ll be nice to live with my parents again, and I think you’ll like living with a mom.”

Your mother had died in a freak accident when you were 4. She was running meaningless errands, those that housewives to the extremely wealthy run. You don’t even remember the story they told you of why your mom was in that building. The building with the faulty elevator. The elevator that fell down the shaft at a such a highspeed, your mom died on impact with the ground.

“We have Nanny Tia.” You countered. “I think this woman will follow us to college.”

“Nanny Tia is following us to the grave,” Seungmin joked. “But, Nanny Tia doesn’t count as a mom, you’ll see.”

*Three Years Later*

>Seungmin<

Can’t wait for you to land! I miss my agi :’(

You left a week ahead of us!

.

When’s the last time you left her for a whole week, hmm???

Valid Point. Touching down in an hour.

The guys and I will be there

You’re going to love them.

And be in classes with 2.

Don’t worry, I told them how amazing you are.

You’re a nerd.

Don’t make me regret applying to your school

Fuck off, you know you missed me.

He was right, you really did miss Seungmin when he left for college back in the states. Your almost four-year sojourn together in Seoul turned you from cousins to siblings. Not to mention, he was a great help when it came to raising your daughter. When you were growing up, he complained all the time that he wanted a baby sibling.

It’s not like you would ever have had to raise her on your own. You had access to your family’s infinite funds, Nanny Tia would be with you for the rest of your life, and not to mention, Seungmin’s parents. Who were supportive of you as soon as you arrived. Your previous behavior wasn’t held against you at all. They were excited to be taking a turn at raising the next generation of Kims. Their support continued when you discovered you were pregnant 3 months later. It was so bizarre to you, how your father and uncle could be completely opposite. You thrived in Seoul with a family. Who knew all you needed was enforced rules?

True to his word, your father found ways to keep you from contacting Han Jisung once you arrived in Seoul. All your social media had been wiped. A brand-new phone awaited you on your desk when you arrived. Logistically, you knew your father wasn’t some seedy overlord who could see everything you do on your phone or internet. But that didn’t mean you trusted him to not put trackers or app tracers on it to alert him if you sought out Jisung. It was a bitch setting up a new email account, your name had already been taken a thousand times over. So, you had to go with a mix of your name and birth year. Your old email was so much better.

Sure, you felt guilty sometimes for not finding some way to contact Han. To at least tell him he had a daughter. It’s not like he could do anything from the other side of the world. And it wasn’t like you needed financial or emotional support from him.

Seungmin asked a few times if you wanted him to figure out a way to let Han know. But something about the way Seungmin changed toward you in Seoul made you tell him no. You wanted to protect him. You didn’t want your roles to reverse and Seungmin be the absolute wild child now that he was back in his own home. You were certain no one would go easy on him if they caught him contacting Jisung for you either.

Around the time Fleur was 6 months old, you decided it was better Han didn’t know.  He would just blame himself, and you didn’t want that. Someday, if your paths crossed again, you’d show him everything he missed. You’d introduce him to your little Fleur.

Fleur was your magical little piece of your best friend you got to keep. She looked just like him, the chubbiest little cheeks, and big brown eyes. She was the tiniest little thing too. Not like she had any other option, you and Jisung were both small framed. You even named her for him. He had always called you Flower. He said it was because your dad only saw you as the pretty little petal, not the whole flower. He saw the whole you.

Thanks to the timing of your unexpected move and your pregnancy, you ended up repeating your junior year. Then after you finished high school, you took a gap year to spend raising your daughter.  Which meant your baby cousin Seungmin was now a year ahead of you school wise. He got accepted to a great arts school back in Boston and encouraged you to apply too. Which is how you ended up here, on the tarmac of Logan International being pickup by your cousin and his 3 friends. With your 3 year-old daughter and nanny in tow.

Of course, BCoAS required all incoming freshmen to live in the dorms, unless there were extenuating circumstances, like a child or money burning holes in parents’ pockets. Seungmin had chosen to live on campus his freshmen year. You did not have that option. Your father purchased a condo near campus for you, Seungmin, Fleur, and Nanny Tia of course.

Nanny Tia was non-negotiable. You and Seungmin were both double majors. Seungmin was in year two of vocal performance and finance (because vocal performance wasn’t practical). You, on the other hand, followed your father’s advice and double enrolled in dance and art. Your father always drilled into you, “If you’re good at something, never do it for free.” His thought process wasn’t that different rom yours. You wanted to do what you were passionate about, that way it would never feel like work.

You carried your toddler down the small steps of your father’s private plane. Nanny Tia carried the diaper bag and your backpack. One of your father’s lackies would deliver all your luggage for you. All that was left was for you and Fleur to find Seungmin.

You were ushered into the private arrivals terminal where you laid eyes on Seungmin and his three friends. One of which had to be the most gorgeous man you’d ever seen in your life. Your jaw dropped and your pace slowed to a stop. Slowed may not be the proper term. Nanny Tia ran into your back you stopped so suddenly.

“Y/N!” Seungmin called. “Bring me my baby!” He ran over to you, his friends following behind.

“Seungmin,” you turned away from his grabby hands. “You’re going to make her cry.” Much to your chagrin, your daughter was making grabby hands back at Seungmin, not even a threat of tears. “Ugh, fine.” You shifted Fleur from your hip to Seungmin’s chest.

“Guys, this is Fleur!” He turned around so his friends could see your baby.

You rolled your eyes. “Thanks, baby cousin.”

“Sorry, sorry!” He bounced Fleur on his hip. “This is my cousin, y/n. The mother of my favorite human. She’ll be in some of your classes.”

One of Seungmin’s friends cocked his head and stared at you. Almost as if stringing the words together he wanted to use.

“Y/N, this is Hyunjin,” he pointed to the tallest of the group with almost shoulder length blonde hair. “Felix,” he used Fleur’s chubby little finger to point at one of the slightly shorter men with dark hair and freckles.

They both gave slight waves and greetings. Hyunjin asked if it was okay for him to take Fleur’s hand. You liked Hyunjin.

“And this tyrant,” He nodded his chin at the beautiful man with dark hair falling right at his cheeks, who was still staring at you with his big brown eyes, “is Minho, most people call him Lee Know.”

“What do you prefer?” You stared right into his eyes, challenging his stare.

He blinked at you three times and shoved his hands in the pocket of his oversized hoodie.

“Umm, Minho.” His voice was softer than you expected it to be.

“Minho it is.” You smiled up at him. “It’s nice to meet you all! Seungmin has had nothing but great things to say about you all.”

“It’s so nice to finally get to meet this little one!” Felix smiled at Seungmin spinning around with Fleur.

“And you of course.” Hyunjin added. “He just talks way more about the baby than he does you.”

Minho was back to silently staring at you.

“So,” You reached out to take your daughter back from Seungmin. “How did you all meet? Seungmin doesn’t dance.”

Nanny Tia led the way out of the terminal, searching for the car service your father ordered. Unfortunately, you knew whatever car Seungmin arrived in would absolutely not have a car seat.

Felix was the one to answer from behind you, Hyunjin being too busy making silly faces at Fleur. “What! Seungmin definitely dances. We were roommates last year and I drug him to a few of our dance practices. Lee Know doesn’t allow lurkers so Seungmin had to participate.” Felix let out a deep chuckle. You did not expect his voice to be that deep.

“Minnie!” You bumped your shoulder into his, “Since when do you dance!”

“What?” He huffed at you. “Like it’s that hard to be shown how to dance.”

“It’s not,” you were a little defensive. “You never let me teach you anything!”

Seungmin split off from you to join his friends at a black jeep with dark windows. You were right, definitely no car seat.

“Are you going straight home?” He nodded at the Lexus meant for you, nanny, and Fleur.

“Yeah, gotta get her on her routine.” You answered while you buckled her into the car seat.

You felt Minho staring at you.

“Is it okay if I bring the guys around? Or are you putting her down?” Seugnmin asked.

“The flight was weird, I don’t think she really knows what time it is,” you slid into the car next to your daughter. “They should be good to hang out for a bit!” You smiled.

As it turns outs, Seungmin befriended a great, and talented group, of people. They were a blast to hang out with and they were always beyond respectful when games nights ended up at your place. They all understood you had boundaries because of your daughter and not a single one ever pushed them.

Your daughter, on the other hand, pushed the boundaries every chance she got. Hyunjin, Felix, and Minho all placated her when she approached them for attention. They never got upset when she climbed in their lap while playing games, or even when she took the controller from their hands.

“You should bring her to rehearsal.” Minho announced one night during a dinner Seungmin and nanny had cooked.

“What’s this? Minho inviting someone to rehearsal.” You teased.

“We need to start teaching her young.” He smiled across the table at you.

“Rehearsal is after bedtime. She would be a terror, you all wouldn’t get anything done.”

He grabbed Fleur’s chubby little hand and wiped mashed banana off of her palm. “This one could never be a terror.” Minho used a very soft voice every time he spoke about Fleur. “Plus, if you bring her to rehearsal, I finally get to make you dance.”

Hyunjin threw his head back as he cackled. “Lee Know hyung has been jealous ever since you placed in my group and not his for Madame Frete.”

“Very Jealous.” Felix poked Minho’s side. You noticed his ears turning red.

“Aw, Minho,” you patted his arm. “If you want to dance with me, all you have to do is ask.”

“Okay,” Minho dropped your daughter’s hand and locked his eyes on yours. “I want to dance with you.”

The heat that rushed to your face actually burned when you noticed the way he looked at you.

You’d settled into a rhythm back in Boston. Your schedule was hard but not impossible, thanks to Nanny Tia and the three bonus babysitters. You were doing great in all your classes. It didn’t hurt that Hyunjin had already had them all and was a great help.

Having a social life wasn’t something you expected when you decided to double major with a toddler. But this group Seungmin created made it so easy. Fleur was great too, so easy. She loved everyone she ever met and everyone loved her. You never worried about her when you left her with Nanny Tia so you could go out one night a week to let loose with your friends.

“Thanks to fucking Hyunjin, I have extra assignments to do.” Seungmin complained at you after he threw his bag on the couch.

Fleur made grabby hands at Felix. He, of course, picked her up and cooed.

Hyunjin sat next to Seungmin on the couch, shoving and tickling his sides. “Come on Minnie,  you’re going to have so much fun!” He teased. “3RACHA is great, all vocal majors want to work with them.”

Minho pulled you by your waist to sit on his lap in the chair. “No more space,” he shrugged. You smiled to yourself. Minho had been working his way into your comfort zone for months now. It was nice.

“Not me!” Seungmin whined. “At least they asked Yang Jeongin too. He’s solid.”

Felix searched for Candyland, “What’s 3RACHA want two vocal performance majors like Seungmin and IN?” Felix questioned from his pillow on the floor with Fleur. “How did they even know about them?”

“Hyunjin’s big mouth.” Seungmin kicked Hyunjin’s shin.

“What!” He and Seungmin were all out wresting now. “Changbin’s my roommate and asked if I knew anyone. And I knew you both.” Hyunjin sat atop Seungmin’s chest, flashing a look of pure victory.

“Why wouldn’t they to work with Seungmin? His voice is top tier.” Your hand rested against Minho’s knee. He drew circles on your shoulder blade. That was new and it definitely had your stomach doing flips.

Minho huffed out a soft chuckle, “3RACHA make rap tracks. They were told to start incorporating vocals or they’ll start failing.”

“Where’d you hear that?” Hyunjin finally climbed off Seungmin to join the game of Candyland Felix started with your daughter.

“From Chan when he asked me if I’d sing on a track with him.”

“You sing?” You sound around on his lap, slightly shocked. “Let me hear!”

Hyunjin scoffed, “Honestly, I’m more surprised Chan is going to sing.” He groaned when he pulled Plumpy’s card from the deck.

“Lee Know sings all the time, y/n. You’d hear him if you ever came to rehearsal.” Felix grinned at you.

“But then I’d be subjected to drill sergeant Lee Know…unless you’ve rethought your no sitting and watching rule.” For some reason, you couldn’t stop yourself from booping the tip of his nose.

“Nope.” He swatted your hand away, “You come to my rehearsal, you’re dancing.”

You caught yourself leaning back against Minho’s chest while you watched your friends let your daughter beat them. Seungmin and Hyunjin constantly arguing about the lack of strategy to the game and hoping the other one would pull Plumpy.

Minho never pointed out that there was now plenty of room on the couch now that everyone else was crowded around the table entertaining your daughter. And you weren’t saying anything either.

“This is nice.” Minho commented while staring fondly at the game in play.

“What, them finally playing a game on their level?” You both laughed.

“You sitting here.”

“Oh yeah?” You raised an eyebrow.

He twirled some of your long hair around his finger. “Let me take you out.”

You felt your face flush. “Take me out where?”

“On a date.”

You turned to look at him again. “Minho, I have a kid.”

“What!” His jaw dropped. “Since when?” He smiled at you.

“That doesn’t bother you?”

“Why would it? You’ve never hid her from me.” His head tilted

“I don’t know, Minho.” You shifted to hide behind your hair.

“What don’t you know? Do you not know if you’re interested in me?” He tucked your hair behind your ear.

You pinched the flesh of his arm. “I don’t know how it would work.”

“That’s the easy part. I show up here, we leave together for dinner, which I pay for by the way, and dancing. I bring you back here at a respectable hour, and then I go home.”

“I know how dates work,” your eyes rolled. “I mean for Fleur. I can’t casually date. What if we go out and things change between us, and you just stop coming around?”

Minho took a deep breath. You could tell he was picking his reply carefully. “I would never do that to you, or her. Friends first. Always.” He offered you a pinky.

You reluctantly hooked your pinky in his.

“Is that a yes?” He smiled.

You sighed at him. “It has the potential to be a yes.”

“I want to throw a party!” Seungmin whined one Sunday morning.

“Excuse me? Who are you and what have you done with my cousin?”

“Come on, y/n! I know you miss it. And we have the perfect place to throw a party.”

Nanny Tia brought breakfast around to you, Seungmin, and Fleur.

“The perfect place!” You huffed. “We live with a three-year-old and our childhood nanny. Not exactly the wild vibes from the past.”

“Have nanny take her to a hotel just for a night!” He begged. “I don’t even want it to be a full out rager or anything. Just our friends, like you used to take me to before Seoul.”

“Seungmin…”

“And the 3RACHA guys so I can get to know them. I promise, that’s it. You know I never ask you for anything, ever.”

And that’s what did it. Seungmin actually never asks you for anything, ever. Which is only made worse by the fact his entire life had been altered by the choices you made. And he seemingly took every change in stride with a smile on his face.

“Nanny, take Fleur to father’s next weekend, please.”

She gave you a small smile and nodded her agreement.

You recalled the conversation that got you here, crowded around your coffee table pulling cards from a circle to see who had to drink out of what cup. Hyunjin on your left, Minho on your right, and Seungmin directly across from you sandwiched between two of the infamous 3RACHA. Chan and Changbin apologized to Seungmin as soon as they arrived that their third member, J, wasn’t able to make it.

Seungmin seemed at ease with the two older guys. You couldn’t believe he actually participated when Felix chose him as his drink mate on his first draw of the game. Seungmin looked happy which made you happy.

Chan pulled a 2 and made Changbin drink.

Felix pulled an 8 and chose Seungmin to be his drinking mate.

Hyunjin pulled a 3 and had to take a shot

You pulled everyone’s favorite, the 6, and everyone drank.

Minho drew the infamous Jack, now every move he made had to be closely monitored.

Changbin pulled the first king and sneakily poured the first liquid into the King’s cup.

I.N drew a 7, which you didn’t see, so you had to drink when you didn’t point to the ceiling.

And then it was Seungmin’s turn. Unfortunately, he pulled the 10. Triggering your least favorite and most favorite drinking game within a drinking game.

“Never have I ever!” Everyone shouted in unison.

Seungmin looked across the table to you and smirked. You knew he was coming for you with that one look. Oh boy! “Never have I ever been charged with public lewdness.” He actually winked at you, the little shit.

You flipped him off and obediently took your drink. Minho turned to you with eyebrows raised. “Oh, do tell!” He poked your ribs.

You shrugged into your shoulder. “Doing rich kid shit with my friends.” You Shrugged and caught a surprised look of recognition on Minho’s face.

You could tell by the looks on their faces that wasn’t an acceptable answer.

“Ugh, fine! Seungmin called the cops during a game of truth or dare. My best friend at the time was indisposed while I was in his lap.”

“If you’re going to tell the story, y/n, tell the whole thing. She was dared to jerk him off, and there’s the public lewdness.” He threw his head back in laughter.

“Doesn’t matter anyway!” You stuck your tongue out at him, it was dropped when Daddy dearest sent us to Seoul.”

“You guys are fun!” Changbin drug Seungmin under his arm and rubbed his knuckles against Seungmin’s scalp.

No other impressive revelations emerged during the first round of never have I ever, but a lot of additional shots had to be taken. Everyone’s cheeks were flushed by the time it was time for the next card draw.

As per usual with this game, there is no winner but the clear loser was Minho. As the deck dwindled down to nothing, the last card on the table fell on Minho’s turn. Everyone knew what it was.

“If you don’t flip it, you don’t have to drink it.” Your speech slurred just a tiny bit.

“Just get on flip over it!” Hyunjin completely slurred his words and they definitely weren’t in the right order.

Minho flipped the last king and had to chug the King’s Cup

“Sucks to suck, man!” Felix egged him on.

“Do it fast,” you gently rubbed his thigh. “Makes it easier.”

You caught Chan glancing at you and Minho from across the table. A look of fondness and also contemplation. You didn’t know Minho had a roommate until he showed up with Chan and announced they lived together. But they made sense as roommates.

“Alright!” Hyunjin slapped his hands together before standing up, “dance break before next game starts!” He immediately started dancing to whatever had been playing in the background.

“Great time to debut some new tracks.” Changbin plugged his phone into the aux.

“Water break first.” You grabbed Hyunjin’s hand and drug him to the kitchen.

You held onto each other and stumbled in front of the fridge. You had not intended to get this drunk tonight, but everyone was having such a great time. And if you were being perfectly honest, you missed letting loose.

Minho had followed the water train to the kitchen. He literally dragged Felix in tow. “You should have brought this one, he’s worse.” Minho sat Felix on one of the barstools which he immediately started to spin. Minho had to grab him before he fell to the floor.

Felix was a lost cause. He ended up sliding to the floor just for the fun of it after Minho caught him for the third time. “Y/N?” He looked up at you while sprawled out on the floor.

“Do not throw up on my floor, Felix.” You scolded.

“Pft! I’m soooo good right now.” He patted the tile and sat up. “Is that old best friend Fleur’s dad?”

The worst part of drunken nights with friends, drunken questions, and drunken confessions.

“Felix,” Minho kicked Felix in the calf. “You can’t ask that. Drunk or not.”

“Don’t act like we don’t all want to know.” Hyunjin added while continuing to dance by himself.

You had to make a choice. Tell them all and let your most guarded secret out of the bag, or not say anything. You knew they wouldn’t pressure you or be upset about it. Minho wouldn’t let them. These guys had wormed their way into your life and you were so glad they did.

“S’okay Minho.” You leaned into his side, he put his arm around your shoulder. “Yes, that is Fleur’s father.” Minho pulled you closer, resting his chin against your head. “He doesn’t know.”

“Will you ever tell him?” Hyunjin asked from down on the floor. He wanted to create the starfish squad with Felix.

“If I ever see him again, of course.” You shrugged.

It wasn’t a lie, if you were to see Jisung tomorrow, you would tell him. You had no idea where Jisung ended up for college. You knew his dream college had always been USC surely, he ended up out there.

“Did you love him?” Minho stared into your eyes.

“I did, yeah.” You swallowed and met his intense gaze. “Our timing was, just…off.”

Everyone else came stumbling into the kitchen, “I thought it was dance break time!” Seungmin pulled you away from Minho, back toward the living room.

“You heard him, guys. Let’s dance!”

You had to give it to the 3RACHA guys. They made great music. Each song lent itself to a different dance style. You, Hyunjin, and Minho danced until the rest of the group made you stop to play truth or dare.

Lucky for you, no one was out for blood. Seungmin dared Felix to lick Changbin’s foot. Felix dared Hyunjin to give Lee Know a lap dance. Hyunjin dared I.N. to sing the hardest song he knew, I.N. dared Chan to kiss Hyunjin, he took a shot.

When Chan called out Lee Know, he chose truth. “What’s going on with you and y/n?”

The room went silent. Everyone stared at the two of you.

“Uh…” He rubbed the back of his neck. His ears reddened. “It’s, complicated.” Minho continued.

You glanced at Seungmin, his face was unreadable.

“Complicated, eh?’ Chan questioned

It was at that moment, you realized Chan, and most likely Changbin, didn’t know about your daughter. The guys all protected you. These guys you hadn’t known until four months ago, valued you as a friend and more than a girl with a kid. Seungmin found a great group of friends.

“I have a daughter.” You spoke up, “she’s three and a half.”

Changbin’s eyebrows shot up while Chan stared at Minho.

“Is she here?” Changbin questioned

“NO!” Hyunjin shouted angrily. “Y/N is a great mom, she wouldn’t have a party with Fleur here.”

“Changbin didn’t mean anything.” Chan held up his hand in defense of his friend.

You smiled at Hyunjin’s protectiveness, “It’s okay. She’s visiting my father this weekend”

“They all hang out with you and her?” Chan asked a little confused.

“You know,” your words escaped with a chuckle. “The difference between my three-year-old and this group of college guys, not that different.” You laughed. “She keeps them in line.”

“Especially in Candyland.” Seungmin added.

“They have yet to all beat her.” Minho chuckled

“Hey!” Felix defended himself. “We let her win…most of the time.”

Seungmin pulled out his phone, “You should see them when we go to the park. Ridiculous.” He scrolled to a video of Hyunjin and Felix running with bubble wands while Fleur drug IN after them. “A tornado of chaos.”

“Sometimes they demand to watch her while I’m in rehearsal. And she likes them, so it works out. I like to give Nanny a break, she’s getting old.”

“So, what’s complicated then?” Changbin asked you and Minho.

“Y/N doesn’t want the normal to change.” Minho started.

“We’re working on figuring it out.” You said at the same time.

Felix let out a loud yawn, quickly followed by IN. They were sweet guys, but total early risers. IN announced he was calling it a night, Felix agreed to share an Uber.  You were also getting tired; it had been years since you’d stayed up this late partying and talking with friends.

“I’ll start cleaning up.” Chan said as he gathered the red cups.

Seungmin started covering all the food and taking it to the kitchen. Minho gathered all the bottles and cans for recycling. Hyunjin had long since passed out on the couch. Felix and IN each gave you a hug on their way out to catch their uber.

“Want us to take Jinnie with us?” Changbin asked Seungmin. “Between the two of us, Chan and I can drag him out to J’s car.”

Chan patted Hyunjin’s chin the gently rubbed his cheek, “Hyunjin. Hyuuuuunjin.” He cooed. “J’s here, you gotta get up.”

Hyunjin was dead to the world.

“Don’t think he’s moving.” Chan stood up, pulling Hyunjin’s arm around his neck and looked at Minho. “You comin’ Lee Know?”

“I’m not getting in a moving vehicle with Hyunjin like that.” Minho looked disgusted.

“Bin’ll  hang his head out the window.” Chan said nonchalantly, like that was normal.

You and Seungmin laughed. At least in your back in your heyday of partying, Seungmin never had to hang your head out of a car window.

Eventually, Chan and Changbin got Hyunjin completely off the couch and onto his feet. Which was honestly generous. They were holding him up and dragging him out the door.

“This was great.” Changbin pulled you into a one-armed hug. “Thanks for inviting us.”

“Maybe we’ll catch you at the park sometime.” Chan said over his shoulder.

“That would be fun!” You called and shut the door behind your new friends as they dragged Hyunjin out to the car.

You turned around and watched Minho slip on his jacket and shoes. A tired look in his eyes.

“Minho?” You asked. He looked at you with his wide brown eyes.

“Mmm?” He was tired, there was no question about it.

“Truth or dare?” You clasped your hands behind your back.

“Dare.” A mischievous smirk took over his face.

“Stay with me.” You grabbed his wrist and walked him to your bedroom.

He eyed you questioningly. “We’re drunk.” He pulled you towards him and rested his forehead against yours.

“Not that!” You were embarrassed by what he thought. “Just sleep.” You promised.

“Okay,’ he agreed, “but I’m sleeping on the floor.”

“Sure you are…” You spun on your heel and pulled him down the hall.

You woke up the next morning to a throbbing headache and an empty room. Minho must have left, he always told you he was up with the sun. You noticed a full glass of water and three ibuprofen on your night stand. Definitely courtesy of Minho. The boy who refused to sleep in your bed. A smile crossed your lips as you tossed back the pills and drained the glass. The water was already helping your headache.

You entered the kitchen, freshly showered, with damp hair and your comfiest sweats and a sports bra. Funnily enough, you were certain they were Jisung’s from back in the day.

“Heyo, Seungmin!” You called, hoping he had a worse headache than you. Imagine your surprise when you rounded the corner and saw no one other than Minho standing over your stove cooking eggs and French toast.

“Shhhhhh!” Seungmin shushed you.

“She lives!” He slowly looked over his shoulder, his eyes opening wider than normal when he noticed your outfit. He quickly turned his attention back to his skillet. You noticed his ears turning red.

“Minho, you’ve danced with girls in less.” You laughed.

He grabbed his hoodie off one of the stools and tossed it to you. You caught it with ease and slipped it over your head.

“I thought you left.” You said while sliding onto the barstool, your hand cradled your chin while you watched him cook.

“I needed to run something by you guys.” He shrugged, sliding a piece of toast out onto a plate.

“Coffee first. Then conversation.” You said as the plate slid closer to you, followed by a large mug of coffee.

Seungmin made an incoherent noise.

“Chan put us on the guest list for 3RACHA’s performance at Hudd’s tonight.” You slid your plate over to Seungmin in an attempt to get him up. “J felt really bad about not being able to meet Seungmin last night.”

“Seungmin’s not 21.” You said nonchalantly while pouring syrup over the new plate Minho brought you.

“Doesn’t matter, we’ll be on the band’s list.” He stole a bite of your toast even though he had his own perfectly good plate. “Felix, and Hyunjin too.”

Seungmin groaned and finally sat up. “Fleur comes back Monday morning.” He grumbled.

“Then I guess we’re going to Hudd’s.” You stuffed another bite in your mouth and rolled your eyes at the two boys in your kitchen. Seungmin groaned and put his head back on the counter.

Hudd’s was everything you expected it to be…a dive club near campus. That didn’t stop you from wearing a backless dress, you still wanted to impress. The stage was a decent size, which meant the dance floor was small. All the tables were crowded together against the walls to make more space. A lot of people come out to see the 3RACHA guys perform.

Luckily, being on the band’s list secured you one of the only three booths in the club. You and all your friends squeezed into the u-shaped bench and slowly, very slowly, sipped on drinks while you waited.

Everyone laughed at Seungmin every time he pouted at his hands.

“Definitely don’t miss that!” You teased your cousin.

“Go wash them off in the bathroom?” Felix suggested with a shrug.

“Don’t think it works that way…”Minho trailed.

You and Seungmin had somehow ended up on the outsides of the booth, the perfect position to go to the bathroom to give scrubbing the stamps the ole college try. You grabbed Seungmin’s wrist. “Come on, let’s at least try.” He followed you to the bathroom with a perma-pout on his lips. You handed him a bottle of sanitizer from your purse and waited for him outside the door.

You took the time to observe the club. There were A LOT of people here. Chan and Bin moved equipment around on stage. You offered a small wave when Chan looked up and smiled. There was a third person with them, messing with sound equipment wearing a black sheer long sleeve shirt and black pants, with wavy hair. That must be the mysterious third member.

You pulled out your phone while you waited and scrolled through pictures of Fleur. Although you were enjoying your free weekend, you did miss her.

Five minutes later, Seungmin returned to your side with very red hands…and only slightly faded stamps. “I had enough to drink last night anyway,” he mumbled.

“Sour grapes much?” You chuckled and pinched his side as he stormed past you back to the table.

“Ahhh,” You heard Chan call. “And here they come!” His arms were held out to his side, pulling Seungmin under one of them. “This is Seungmin, doing us a huge favor on the track with Innie.” He reached for you with his other arm. “This is J…”

“Han Jisung?” You gasped and your stomach flipped

“Y/N?”

You and the father of your child spoke over each other.

Seungmin’s eyes almost popped out of his head as his jaw fell open.

“You two know each other?” Chan asked excitedly.

Jisung pulled you away from Chan and to his chest, “This is her. My high school best friend.” He picked you up and spun you around, his hands on your bareback shooting sparks through your nervous system. “The one who’s dad literally sent her away, never to be heard from again.”

You watched as all your friends in the booth put the pieces together. Jisung calling you his old best friend, shipped away, Seungmin standing there completely dumbfounded, and you not saying a single word, eyes so side you could feel your contacts drying out. They figured it out. They knew who Jisung was to you.

“I…I…” You stammered, then took a breath and swallowed. “I have to go.” Jisung sat you back on your feet. You turned in a panic.

Jisung grabbed your wrists. “What, don’t go!” He searched your eyes. “I just found you.” His eyes searched your face.

Your friends all sat in the booth, frozen in time. The four months they had known you, they had all also known him. They were put in a difficult situation; you didn’t blame them for freezing. They had known Jisung longer, and appeared to be good friends with him. If you had to guess, he lived with one of them. Going purely off the looks on everyone’s faces, you guessed he was Minho’s third roommate.

Thank god for Seungmin, your ever loyal cousin. “Han.” He said firmly, “She’s taking me home, I got sick in the bathroom.”

Jisung let you go without another word, and you pretended to take Seungmin home. Even though everyone knew Seungmin was the one taking you.

“See you around.” Jisung called as Seungmin ushered you from the club.

***

Seungmin lead you into the comfort of your apartment. “You know I didn’t know, right?” He asked. “I would have told you if I knew.”

You patted his cheeks. “Minnie, it’s okay.” You smiled, “I was caught off guard. And it was weird watching literally everyone figure out who he was to me.”

“Yeah, I think we made it pretty obvious.” Seungmin slumped unto the couch, you followed quickly after, flinging your feet in his lap.

You stared up at the ceiling. “I have to tell him.”

“You have to tell him.” Seungmin agreed. “You can come with me to their studio on later this week if you want.”

“I appreciate the offer, but I don’t think this is something to be told while he’s producing a track for a grade.”

“He won’t care, it’s you.”

It was actually a brilliant suggestion, and so kind of Seungmin to offer.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” You asked. “Are you sure, I don’t want to take away from your amazing voice, Minnie.”

“It’s Jisung, he’s heard it before,” he countered.

“You got me there.” You kicked at his chest. “Alright, I’ll come. Now, I feel bad about how we left tonight. Think we should have lunch in the park with the group?”

Seungmin grabbed your foot, ready to tickle. “I think that will smooth everything over.” His hand descended on your foot.

“Okay, truce! You bartered with your demon spawn cousin.

>ChaChaCha-Chat<

Lunch in the park Monday! Be there or be square.
