Chapter 1-A Wake Up Call
Ciel awoke, his head fuzzy and his memories not all there. His eyes zeroing in on the ceiling above him. This wasn’t his room, it wasn’t any room he was familiar with either. He closed his eyes, attempting to remember just what the hell happened. Flickers of what happened ran through his mind. He’d been out at the movie theatre with Elizabeth, they’d just reached his car at the top floor of the parking garage when he’d seen Elizabeth look behind him before she gasped and everything went black. He went to prop himself up and it became apparent just how dire his situation was. The sound of the chains clanging as it moved drawing his attention. A look further down his body and there are also chains on his ankles. He nearly starts hyperventilating then and there if not for the other thing that catches his attention.
There, in the furthest corner of the room, in the shadows sits a man. One he’s never seen before, the man is tall, dark hair, eyes dark. There’s a slight smile on his face as Ciel notices him. He’s sat on an armchair, his leg crossed over the other, hands clasped together on his knees. Looking so calm Ciel nearly forgets he’s supposed to be panicking.
“W-What the fuck do you think you’re doing?! Release me this instant! My father will kill you for this!” Ciel shouts, the threat of his father the first thing he can think of. If anyone could get him out of here alive it would be Vincent. Oh god, what would his poor mother think? And Elizabeth… No. She was with him that night… He sits up, glaring daggers at the man.
“What did you do with Elizabeth?! You fucking bastard! You better not hurt her!” He shouts, his fists clenched in anger. The man merely laughs at his rage. Yeah, easy to laugh when you’re not the one chained up. Piece of shit. He gets up in one fluid motion, His eyes never leaving Ciel’s as he crosses the room closer and sits in the armchair next to the bed. The two like opposing magnets, the man steps closer, Ciel scoots away as far as the chains will let him. Getting a closer look at one another Ciel sees his eyes aren’t black like he thought they were, but a dark reddish brown. He doesn’t like the look in them as his eyes rake over his form, he fights a shiver. The man finally talks, and his voice is deathly smooth, so matter-of-fact it washes over Ciel like a bucket of ice water as he takes in what it means for him.
“I wouldn’t worry about your cousin. I have no desire nor need for her. I already have the thing I want.” A pause as he looks Ciel straight in the eyes as he says this. “I wanted you.”
Ciel fights the urge to throw up. His eyes blur with tears. Tears of frustration, of anger, of loss of his life. This psycho was surely going to kill him. What happened before that was what he was dreading. There were hundreds of stories out here about what happened to kidnapped people. He’d never thought it would be him though. He figured being dead right now would be better than anything else that would happen to him. He turns towards the man again, and he’s just sitting there, watching him. Amusement clear as day in his eyes. He scowls. How dare this man. How dare this piece of shit think he have the nerve to just take him from everyone and everything just because he wanted to. How dare he sit and watch as he was chained to a bed like he was a fucking insect in a terrarium.
“Just kill me and get it over with already! I’ve no desire to play this fucking game with you!” He cries. He cannot see the man’s expression from his tears. But he can hear him, and it only fills his stomach with dread.
The man cocked his head to the side, confused.
“Why would I do that? After all that effort I put in to finally have you? Rest assured Ciel, you’ll come to appreciate me. I just got you, and I have no intention of letting you go so easily.” He says, he shifts forward and cups Ciel’s face, stroking it lovingly. Ciel cringes as far back into the headboard as he can but it’s not enough. Ciel grimaces as the man does another pass with his thumb around his cheek before pulling away and walking over to the door. If his fate wasn’t sealed before, it was now. How was he so sure? Well. If the beeping of a code on a number pad wasn’t enough, then the finger print scanner and retinal scanner were all the more over the top in the way the man proved his escape was futile without a single word. The door opened and the man throws a glance at Ciel before he exits, he smiles once more, and Ciel closes his eyes; a tear rolling down his cheeks. The door clicked closed as the man stepped outside of it, locking Ciel in with nothing but the clothes on his body and his thoughts.
