Summary:

"... Do you think someone'll ever make you feel that way, or…?"

"I dunno. I hope so." Luffy wants to experience everything the world has to offer before he dies. Why would something so hyped-up be an exception?

Nami squeezes his hand so tight right then, and her voice takes on this gravelly tinge to it that nearly makes her too hard to understand. But he hears her. "Well, if…"  She takes his hand and pulls it up to her face, making him cup her cheek, which is so, so warm that he nearly recoils. "If you ever wanted to try…"

Work Text:

“... You sure you’re not mad at me?”

“Oh, give it a rest, Luffy.”

“‘Cause if I did something wrong, I can try to fix it, y’know,” he tells her. “I can fix stuff sometimes.”

Nami’s facing away from him in the darkness, her quiet voice reflecting off the wall when she grumbles, “Nothing to fix.”

It’s impossible to even try to read her when he can’t see her face, but obviously something's off here. It's been off ever since they turned the light out. Luffy's tired as hell, extremely ready to let the sound of tonight's frigid downpour take him to sleep, but it'd be uncool to conk out without figuring out whatever's up with her. Plus his body finds the sensation of solid ground beneath him too suspicious to let him doze off, yearning for the sway of his hammock and the swell of the sea beneath.

A flash of lightning from behind the thin curtains illuminates the back of her head, her orange hair tied in a loose frizzy knot he's never seen her wear before. Luffy counts out the time until the thunder booms amid the barrage of rain against the roof and windows. Maybe she's still mad they had to spend so much money to get the whole lot of them in the inn tonight. "Aren't ya glad we aren't out on the ship right about now? The waves'd be throwing us around like crazy, even docked. In the freezing cold, too."

"Yeah, sure."

Her tone is flat. Luffy's sluggish mind runs through a list of things that might be troubling his dear friend. He doesn't smell, does he? No way— he took a bath right after she did in order to get the chill out of his bones, scrubbing out his skin and his hair with complimentary floral soap that smelled good enough to eat. It did not taste all that good.

They've already been over the most obvious reason she could be ticked off right now, but he'll reiterate anyways. "Hey, I'll tell you again: if you really want the room to yourself, I can go knock on doors till I find one of the other guys to crash with."

"You're gonna go around knocking on every single door in the middle of the night? That's the dumbest idea ever. You'll get yourself beat up."

"Damn, you're right... You wanna check again if the reception lady might be back? To ask which room numbers everybody's in?"

"I already told you after I went down— the sign said said she wouldn't be back till sunrise."

"... Well, sorry it wound up this way."

"It was my fault."

"Yeah, it was," Luffy laughs. "Dunno why I apologized. You and your big ole suitcase."

Making it into the nearest marina of the nearest island was a struggle even for the Thousand Sunny; by the time they got there, most of the surrounding ships harbored there had sunk. As soon as they'd thrown down the anchor, everyone had to take turns timing their exits so they could clamber onto the dock when the ship bobbed lowest with the insane swell and crash of the huge waves. With raincoats draped over their heads and a night's change of clothes in their arms, Luffy watched as his crewmates took off down the dock onto solid ground toward the welcoming sight of what must be some sort of quaint fishing town made out of a cluster of wooden lodges around a currently-flooded plaza.

Nami took forever to pack. To be the last one off the ship, Luffy had to wait outside the door to the girls' quarters clutching onto the walls to keep from keeling over with the waves until she came out with this huge wheeled trunk— she made him carry over his head so it wouldn't get in puddles, which didn't make sense since it was getting wet anyway.

Conveniently, the town's only inn wasn't far. The receptionist told him and Nami that the soggy group that'd just come in had all been shown their own rooms, but there was room left.

Nami totally flipped, shrieking over how much it'll cost for so many different rooms, how Robin was supposed to wait out for her so that they could bunk together like always. And then the receptionist clarified: the storm had every pirate, sailor and fisherman in the area seeking refuge. There was one room left.

Sweet, one less to pay for, then, Luffy said as he slapped her between her shoulder blades. The gesture squeezed a bunch of rainwater out of her coat and soaked them even more. Nami didn't speak to him again for around an hour after that.

"Luffy?" Nami asks away from him in the dark in a different voice.

"Yeah?"

"Why didn't you offer to sleep on the floor?"

He narrows his eyes at the back of her head. "Why would I do that?"

Nami lets out an immensely annoyed sigh that even Luffy can read as she wriggles around in the blankets to turn and face him. Her cold foot makes contact with his shin for a second. "There's implications here," she tells him quietly. There's a fair gap between them, but he can still smell the mint on her breath. "There's no way you're too dense to know that there's implications."

"With what?"

"With—" And then there's this big pause where her voice drops even quieter after like she's scared someone's eavesdropping. "... you being in my bed."

"Your bed?" Luffy laughs at a normal volume. "It's just as much yours as it is mine right now. I thought you said you didn't mind."

"... I don't." Another pause. "I don't know why I don't mind. But there's… y'know, the bathtub, or that chair…"

"You think I'm gonna offer to sleep in a wet bathtub or a chair with no blanket on a night like this when there's a warm bed big enough for the two of us? No way." He only just now realizes that he's being inconsiderate to his friend. "Unless you want me to," he adds. "Then I don't mind."

"I… no, you can… ugh. Just, like… imagine if Sanji saw us like this."

"If Sanji—?" Oh. For the first time since they got here Luffy puts the situation though Sanji-Vision for a second like he has to sometimes when he can tell stuff's flying over his head. He's currently in a hotel room alone in bed with Nami, her in skimpy cotton pajamas and him with nothing but his shorts on, both of them fragrant and damp from their respective baths. If Sanji was in his shoes right now, he'd lose so much blood out his nose that they'd need a medic. "Aw, you're right..." Luffy snickers; for the first time in ages, a slight hot-prickling sensation of embarrassment rises to his cheeks, sheepish that he hadn't realized sooner that it had been the bed situation troubling her. "I'm sure he'd understand, though. He knows I don't think like that."

"At all?"

"... Hm?"

Nami's been fidgeting quite a bit all this time, but she's sort of still now. Except for her foot. Her foot's nudging against his shin all cold and soft. "You still don't think about that kind of thing at all?"

A flash of lightning illuminates Nami's face for a second. He does not know what her expression means, but it's all intense for an instant.

"Uh… what kind of thing?" He realizes this is the type of conversation he really has to work hard to read right.

"The kinds of—" Her voice cracks. She has to clear her throat. "The kinds of things people think when they're in bed with each other."

The next clap of thunder rattles the windows. Okay, he'd read it right. This is a really weird development, though— he would've pinned Nami as the crewmate least likely to ever want to participate in guy-talk. "... You're asking if I ever think about sex?" he asks, scratching his temple. "Seriously? You wanna know?"

"Yeah, I… yeah."

Luffy laughs out loud. What a strange night. If she really wants to know: "Not much, but sometimes, sure."

Lightning flares up across the room again to reveal an expression he most certainly can read, one of utter and complete shock with her jaw dropped and everything, hand pressed to the side of her face as she lays beside him. "For real?" leaves her mouth all airily.

Finally Luffy's brain aligns itself with her path of thinking, sex and beds and men and women sharing beds— oh, it's wild to get this embarrassed all at once after not feeling the emotion in ages, the hot-prickle from earlier multiplying across his face till he's nearly dizzy. "Not right now, though," he clarifies, backing up near the edge of the mattress so that there's even more physical space between them. "Not at all right now. No need to worry."

"... Not at all?"

One wrong word and she'll slap him over the head and send him to the tub, he knows it. "Not even a little bit."

"So you think I'm ugly? Is that it?"

Whoa. "What?" In the next flash of lightning he sees her covering her eyes with her hands, her face all scrunched up. "Nami, where'd that come from?"

"You think I'd let any of the other guys on the crew get this close to me in a million years? I've never— it's— I thought you'd… I don't know... I don't know. Never mind."

"No, c'mon, what do you mean? Not even Chopper?"

"Ugh…!" Another ripple of thunder. "You'll never get it."

"Try me, try me. What makes you think I think you're ugly?"

"'Cause we're this close, and it isn't even crossing your mind…"

"What, like it's crossing yours?" He stifles a laugh at the thought of his pal Nami or any girl remotely like her considering sex with him just because they happen to be sharing a bed. There are some weird outliers, but mostly women don't look at Luffy and Luffy doesn't look at women. That's just the way it is.

But then Nami's dead quiet for too long to the point where the smile leaves his face. Something's definitely off.

"... I thought it'd be weird, being like this with you," she says softly. "But it's not. It's nice."

"Really?"

"Yeah... I— honestly, I haven't felt this safe in ages."

His smile perks back up, happily surprised. "Aw, I'm glad," he tells her. Now's a good time to scoot back in and lay a friendly hand on her raised sleeve to show there's no harm, patting it as she lays on her side. "I feel safe with you too."

Before he can pull it back, she puts her small cold hand over his. "So you really do think about it?" she asks, voice weaker. "Just not with me?"

It? Oh, sex again. "To be fair, not really with anybody," Luffy reasons. "Like, sure, I whack it sometimes, but never with people in mind."

He hears her cringe against the pillows, shoulder tensing under his hand. "Don't be gross."

"What? You asked."

Even reprimanding him, she's still holding his hand to her. "... Do you think someone'll ever make you feel that way, or…?"

"I dunno. I hope so." Luffy wants to experience everything the world has to offer before he dies. Why would something so hyped-up be an exception?

She squeezes his hand so tight right then, and her voice takes on this gravelly tinge to it that nearly makes her too hard to understand. But he hears her. "Well, if you…"  She takes his hand and pulls it up to her face, making him cup her cheek, which is so, so warm that he nearly recoils. "If you ever wanted to try…"

It might just be him, but it's like the downpour gets even louder right then, ringing in his ears as the statement ricochets in his brain. "... Me?" He asks, suddenly numb in his hand. "You and me?"

Nami doesn't answer. She just moves his hand to her mouth and presses a soft kiss into the back of his palm, lips just as hot as the rest of her face. His whole hand's buzzing right away like it'd fallen asleep. But he can feel everything.

"O… kay," goes Luffy, his own voice muffled in his ears like he's underwater. "I thought, um… I thought…"

"Thought what?" Another press of her lips. He swears he feels the slightest tip of her tongue flick out against his knuckle.

"Uh…" He loses his point for a second at the realization that she's kind of getting the back of his hand all wet right now. Luffy's always charged toward uncertainty, forever in pursuit of the unknown— life stays full of surprises that way, the way he likes it. He's considered the past couple years to have turned him worldly, but now there's this whole completely unknown world laid right out beside him treating his hand like an ice pop. This white-hot unfamiliar pulse spikes through his body with each lick, and his mind reels to catch up with how great it feels. He's suddenly thinking about things he hasn't felt before, secrets he doesn't know. "... I thought you'd kill me if I ever creeped on you."

"You couldn't be a creep if you tried, Luffy…" She moves his hand down to the side of her neck, which, like everywhere else, is silk-soft and scorching to the touch. "... I really think it could be nice…"

Here comes that lightning he'd wanted. He gets a split-second flickering look at Nami blushing hard as hell with her eyes shut tight as she nuzzles into his touch, stray orange locks spilling out of her bun and onto the pillows.

There's one of those little wooden racks with all the big sliding beads on it clacking away in Luffy's brain right now trying to measure out what his next move should be. The sight of her in the flash, the feel of her neck in his hand— even the smell of the soap in her hair is starting to mess with him the way only rare dreams do. It's the weirdest, newest thing he's felt in ages, finally attaching a person to that shapeless longing in his gut that he only deals with when he genuinely has to. There isn't enough room in his head right now to fit thoughts of what could go wrong, but he's really banking on the fact that the bond between them is unbreakable; there's no way nakama could ever get tripped up over something as dumb as this. Everything'll probably be fine.

Nami. Who would've thought?

"... Yeah, I'm down."

He tries to say it casually, but it cracks high in the middle more than he would've liked. He pats around on the nightstand behind him for his hat just to show he means business, but decides against putting it on in case the straw scratches her. He's sure she knows that he doesn't know the score here. Hopefully she'll show him.

He rubs her neck gently with his thumb to try and be friendly, but for some reason it makes things kind of tense. Her throat jerks when she swallows. "Nami." The name already feels different in his mouth. "Tell me what to do."

"Touch me," goes the voice of a very different Nami from the proud one who throws back beers and counts bills nonstop back on the ship. She takes her hand off his on her neck, throws her arms out, digs her nails into his biceps and pulls him straight in by his forearms so that he's right on top of her beneath the covers, rough enough to really startle him. "Touch me everywhere…"

He's on her, now, pressed entirely flush to the sweet warmth of her skin, inhaling her sweet mint breath. Everywhere, right off the bat. Cool. He's breathing shallowly when he asks, "Coulja be more specific?" In seconds he's wondering if he's ever been this hard in his life, and if she can tell against her thigh. He wonders if she likes it.

"Anywhere you want," she offers, which doesn't help. Well, actually, it does: her waist's so small that he's always thought it'd be kind of satisfying to hold her there in his hand and pick her up like a cup. There couldn't be a better time than now to see what it’s like, minus the lifting.

Luffy grabs her firm by her waist too quickly with both hands. She gasps loud, so he yanks his hands away. "You okay?" He asks, spooked by both the sensation and her reaction. Holding her for a second like that just gave him another new feeling like he'd inhaled flames.

What a relief when she grabs his wrists and pulls them right back to where they were, his thumbs brushing the skin near her hipbones as he clutches onto her. Nicest of all, she puts her arms around his bare shoulders to hold him tight to her in a real embrace, so much hot skin pressed up against so much hot skin. "You don't have to ask," she whispers close to his ear. "I'll tell you if I'm not okay, okay?"

Luffy nods jerkily, trusting her like always.

His palms trail around, up and down her sides, stroking her bare midriff all over, skimming his fingers up her abdomen and over her navel. He really can't get over how her skin is about a trillion times smoother than his— he never really thought about how calloused and rough he must be all over. Must not bother her, though, as Nami lets out a very quiet, very agreeable noise when his hand slips higher near the hem of her cropped button-up.

He can read her reactions completely now, even in the dark, even in the unfamiliarity of it all— it's all primal and physical here, no mental games he has to decode. The way she writhes around against him, squeezing him tighter in her arms each time his hands reach someplace new a hundred percent confirms that she's getting exactly what she wants from him right now, not to mention the sounds she makes right in his ear with that soft mint breath, gasps and sighs between short shocking presses of her lips to his earlobe like she'd done his hands— he wonders how well he'll be able to remember her voice like this when he gets a moment to himself after this. It's the first thing to ever make him feel really actually perverted.

"Luffy," she murmurs. "Higher."

Okay, boobs. No problem. He's seen them before. He's even seen Nami's. Honestly, he's sort of frustrated with how fuzzy the memory is, having never revisited it before. He remembers being shocked and only kind of interested, giving off an exaggerated reaction to make Usopp laugh.

Luffy feels the lightning flash through closed eyelids— damn, a missed chance to look . All he can do is try to remember what she looked like back then, back when she dropped her towel for them. His hands slide up the bottom of her shirt, and she scratches his back gently with the tips of her nails, somehow comforting him and riling him up at the same time. Up a little bit further and his hands sink straight into heaven.

"Haa," goes Luffy as thunder rolls. His spit feels too thick in his mouth. "Aah."

They're the softest things he's ever, ever felt, softer than dough or mochi or anything else tasty, enticingly giving way when he sinks his fingers in— oh, now he gets the hype, because something about this is making his dick go crazy — and yet again, she likes it when he touches them, clinging onto him and writhing, wiggling her hips against him— he really shouldn't've slept in just denim, but he starts to grind back against her anyway, the slightest relief outweighing the discomfort.

Then something hits something at the right angle. The pressure cooker in Luffy's brain dings, eyes opening wide. Suddenly he's got an appetite.

"Need to— need you in my mouth." The words tumble out of his mouth too quick, almost involuntary, laced with something he's never heard in his own voice. "Need my mouth on ya. Let me taste."

"Luffy..." Nami's chest shakes under his hands when she laughs. How lucky— lightning goes off so that he can see that bright smile he loves so much, grinning so hard that her red cheeks dimple and her shut eyelashes twitch. "You're crazy…" At this point in time this is true. She nudges his hands down, and he reluctantly pulls them out from under her shirt so she can— wow, she's taking it off! That means—

The mattress creaks slightly when she raises herself up beneath him to take the sleeves of her unbuttoned shirt off both arms. He lowers into a collapsed plank above her, ducks his head down to her chest and latches his mouth onto her.

This feeling here, this is what people get lost chasing, isn't it? This is why Sanji is the way he is. It's whatever this hot fog rolling over him is when he licks at her, sucks on her, tastes the dull sweetness of her soft skin on his tongue. She obviously likes this as much as he does, running her fingers through his hair, shaky and gentle, scratching his scalp when his teeth graze her nipple. He never understood how it was possible for so many pirates to supposedly lose sight of their dreams in pursuit of women, but it's starting to seem kind of fair if this is what this kind of thing is normally like— thank goodness the woman he gets to try this with is determined to lead him straight where he needs to go.

Luffy gasps for air when he takes his mouth away, having too much fun to remember to breathe. Then he goes right back down for seconds, scrambling to knead and kiss and lick both of them as much as he can. Her skin gets slick with his spit and he tries to lick it off, leaving more. He's breathing with his mouth wide open after, trying to take in as much air as possible, so his tongue's just kind of lolling all over her in strokes. Nami's quick breaths and constant cane-sweet noises practically drive him to delirium, and Luffy knows enough to know that they haven't really even done anything yet.

"Hey," she pants at one point, and Luffy stops with his tongue stuck out. "I said 'everywhere,' right?" She pats around for one of his hands, his palm slightly sticky from licking and then touching her. She takes it by the wrist, and he can tell from the ensuing pause that she takes a second to think it over before parting her legs just slightly and pressing his hand right between her thighs. "Here, too, okay?"

The crotch of her pajama shorts isn't covering what's supposed to be covered, the fabric pushed aside. Luffy's got his hand firmly cupped around just about the strangest, most enticing thing he's ever touched, scorching-hot, slick-wet, absolutely impossible to try to visualize. "Can I taste it?" he asks without thinking. "Let me taste it."

"Ah..." He swears he feels something in his hand pulse at the request. He really wants to put his mouth there. "I actually…" She puts her other hand on his cheek; it's trembling. "I was hoping we could kiss."

Without hesitation Luffy swoops down to hungrily put his mouth on hers. Her chest is wet and sticky against his. Right away she makes this sound into his mouth almost like a yelp, pulling him off by the hair. "Oh, way too much tongue!"

"Ah. Sorry," he breathes, buzzing from how clean and fresh her mouth had tasted. It's like she was designed to make him go berserk. How had he not considered this? How did he never even think to want this?

"Idiot," Nami sighs, ruffling up his hair before placing both hands on the back of his neck. "Try again. Close your mouth. Go slow."

"Got it..." It's hard to focus with his hand still between her legs, rubbing against the searing wet seam of her as she moves her hips, but he pulls in close until their noses bump, nuzzling into her to best guess where her lips are in the dark.

Something seems very different when he does this, when he hesitates to kiss her and just waits there breathing her breath so close rather than crashing down upon her. Something's fluttering in his chest that he can't identify when their lips finally gently meet. The pleased hum she lets out buzzes against him as her hands go up into his near-dry hair to soothingly comb through it, and he starts to see these wild blurred colors behind his eyelids when she deepens the kiss, bright and vivid and blending into each other.

Kissing is fun. It might be the most fun he's had this whole time. It's like this whole way of communicating without words, giving and taking and pushing and pulling just based on how the other feels against them. He figures it's okay to use his tongue again once she uses hers, and he laves it past her lips and gets to taste mint again, savoring it like it'll end soon. Hey, maybe it might— honestly the mere feel of her in his hand has him wishing he'd bothered to bring spare shorts in the commotion. And the way she's rocking herself against it is so obvious, so desperate unlike any Nami he's ever seen, whining into each kiss and scratching between his shoulder blades. He wonders if she's close too. That would be hilarious.

"K… keep it there," she keens, reaching to press his stiff hand down even firmer against herself, rolling her hips up and down with purpose— his hand is getting unbelievably slick, mouth watering just thinking about it. "Right there…!"

Luffy realizes right then that he might make a girl cum on the first try without even really doing anything, and the girl is Nami. Sanji would poison him a million times over for this.

She's fully clinging around it with her thick warm thighs now, squirming and sighing between kisses that make the colors in his head brighter and brighter till they're almost neon, all scattered pinks, teals, yellows and oranges. And then she's scratching harder at his back, breathing quicker, starting and stopping to get his name out, and then—

"Oh… oh, no way, I—!"

These gorgeous, fluttering moans start to leave her lips as she twitches and spasms and pulses underneath him, bucking and winding, hiccuping with each breath. He figures this is what getting electrocuted might feel like, scared to really move his hand at all for fear of spoiling it, keeping it completely rigid and hard so she can get the pressure she wants as she does all the work.

It's like the lightning's on his side tonight. He gets this absolutely insane image of Nami mid-breath looking right at him with her jaw agape and her orange hair strewn everywhere, knocked out its bun, chest shiny and perky and full and round, red everywhere like she's blushed all over. Her lips look swollen and plush, and her eyes look glittery and dark. Everyone's always talked about how stunning Nami is; Luffy's always just looked at her and seen Nami. What a joke. She's like art. She's like the sun or something.

"Huh," Luffy pants, audibly confused. "You're beautiful."

"Aaah," goes Nami, coming down from it right with the thunder, shivering some more as she starts to relax. She sounds exhausted. Was it really that good? "I wanna do it… I wanna do all of it…"

"All of it," Luffy parrots. "You mean stick it in? I can't do that. You know I can't do that." He really really really would like to do that right now though. There's no way what's against his hand now wouldn't feel like pure bliss on him. When he thinks about it too hard the throbbing ache almost turns to genuine pain.

Nami's voice gets a little shaky again. "Robin told me about… Chopper has…" Robin and Chopper? What the hell do they have to do with this? "... There's this type of medicine he can put in tea where if you drink it right after— the morning after, I mean— nothing bad'll happen."

Slowly she unclenches her thighs enough for him to take his crazy-wet hand away. "Nothing bad?"

"Yeah, she's been taking it for months, and… nothing's happened."

The abacus-type thing in his brain has long since busted in half, beads rolling everywhere. Too much new information tonight. In the dark she can't see him lick one of his fingers— oh, that's so nice, that's nothing like he'd expected, that's delicious. He barely holds himself back from licking the rest of his hand for fear she'll taste it on his lips. "Who's Robin been doing it with?" he asks as a dazed afterthought.

"Uh, Franky? … Did you not know? It's been ages."

"Huh. Nope." He'll unpack that later. The information to note here is that someone he trusts more than anything just told him there'll be no consequences if he does what he wants to do most in the entire world right now, so nothing else really matters at all. "Can I take my pants off now?"

"Yeah, I was gonna," she replies all frantic, and then they throw the covers off and both just start giddily scrambling to tear the rest of their clothes away— hot damn is Luffy excited for the main event. He won't last, of course, which he knows is bad manners, but it looks like she already got off so he won't have to feel too bad about it. Crazy that she got off. Sanji says that's supposed to be like the hardest thing in the world.

Once all their clothes get thrown somewhere else in the dark room, Luffy's too hyped to waste any time. She pulls him in by the neck for another long kiss as opens her legs wider, fitting him between them so he can shuffle in as close as he can till— he's touching it— his dick's touching it, it's so wet—

"Where's—?" Nothing's giving way when he holds it and pushes forward. Nami simply snickers. "How do I—"

"Here," she says all jittery, brushing his hand away and replacing it with hers, her small, soft, warm hand, leading him even closer into the slick heat where her legs join— again, it doesn't seem like there's any sort of entrance there. "Ah… it's… give me a second…"

She lets go of it so that she can— oh, what is she— okay, there's definitely an entrance there, because she's putting her fingers in like it's her job. She's— wow. She lets out her voice a little bit here, mostly just rain, mostly just the insanely wet noise it makes when she pulls them in and out. It takes him a second to realize she must have been too tight for him; she must be trying to open herself up now. This must be what she does when she's alone, too. That's too much. That's too much to even think about.

The sound of it is too delicious for words. He honestly can't believe how bad he wants this with her, how every other instinct in his brain has been dialed to a mute besides the few that've been telling him this whole time to get as close to her as he possibly can. It's so different— it's so new. There's a thrilling new need to taste every inch of her skin, inhale the damp floral smell of her hair till his lungs burst, drink her down till his tongue can't remember anything else. He needs to see what it's like in her. "Hurry up," gets pulled from his throat like it'd been yanked out with string. "Hurry up and let me…!"

"Okay… okay, it should be okay...!"

He scoots all the way in as close as he can— she holds him firm in her slick hand and strokes him a bit and gets him slick too, and he has to dig his teeth into his tongue to keep from ending things right there— and she presses him into heat after that, into pure radiant heat— and she throws her arms around him, and he pushes in slow with his hips—

That's

"Ahhhhhhh..." An even newer voice keens out of Nami's mouth with another, "No waaay..."

He's half in her. Everytime she moves, every time she breathes he can feel it. It's such a snug fit even just starting out that he feels like he has to check in despite his trust in her; when he asks if she's alright he can't even hear it in his own ears, his voice drowned out by rain and their pulses.

Nami's voice is still loud and clear through sharp breaths that'll end this quicker than both of them would like. "Feels good," she tells him sincerely. "Feels so good...!"

That might be the greatest news Luffy has ever heard, because when he bucks forward and presses fully into her the shock of it sparks something he's never felt anything close to, a new high he immediately knows he'll stay craving, a level of satiation that elates him so bad that in the moment he actually just busts out laughing, which is hard with how heavy the air in his lungs has gotten. So tight, so molten, so perfect and enigmatic and soft and fragrant and tasty—

"Oh, that's unreal...!" He wants to see! What the hell does it look like, him all the way inside her right now, pulsing and grinding with her movements? "Nami, this is wild!

Out of nowhere she slaps both hands on his face and yanks him in close and kisses him basically just as bad as the one he'd given her in the first place. That's it. That's literally all it takes. Kissing like that while he's in her— that's the closest he'll ever be able to physically get to another human being, and it's his trusted crewmate who'll be by his side till the end. How incredibly fortunate he is. How lucky for this storm.

He wants to kiss forever, but he has to break before he suffocates. The yell he lets out when he cums is loud enough that she clasps a hand over his mouth even while she clings her thighs around him and writhes in pleasure. Lightning flashes while his eyes aren't open and thunder bellows practically right after; the window panes shake in their frames. If he were to describe it himself, he'd say it felt like his soul was being shot out of his dick. It's that intense. He jerks his hips into her to take the edge off when it starts to wane, finding more hot depths, moaning some more behind her hand. That's it. That's it.

All at once he collapses, folds into her, moves her hand so he can give her one last good kiss before his entire body gives out. With a lazy thumbs up that she can’t see, he mumbles, “That was a feast...” He can feel it dripping, still inside her. She laughs at him— the last thing he remembers before passing out cold on top of her is the lightning illuminating him her smile one last time. The thunder doesn't wake him.

It might be the nicest morning Luffy's ever seen.

Waking up naked and alone in a brightly daylit room he doesn’t recognize only confuses Luffy for a second before he realizes where he is. The nakedness and soreness graciously proves it wasn’t a dream, and he’s confused that he’s by himself– where’s that lovely crewmate of his?— but decides to go check out wherever the hell they are out the window.

The room's furnishings are nicer than he'd expected; he hopes Nami didn't get conned into renting a more expensive room. Out the wide window he finds a rather scenic view of the coastline and the marina containing the best ship in the world, surrounded by the busted remains of its inferiors. There isn't a cloud in sight. Seabirds fly and perch on the shabby-shingled roofs around them and caw as they hop through huge puddles on the shiny cobblestone. He's in a great mood, energized and entirely rejuvenated. Very ready to start the day.

"Luffy!" goes Nami as the bathroom door slides open behind him.

"Hey, come check out this view. I had no idea this place was so—"

"You can’t be in the window like that!"

"Oh, yeah, sorry." He turns around to face her—

Holy shit, she's beautiful. And not in a mysterious, late-night, one-second-snapshot sort of way, no— she's beautiful in a tangible, real, all-the-time way, those sweet brown eyes, those shiny long waves of tangerine hair, that figure wrapped up in a yellow sundress that accentuates everything he suddenly wants to see.

With his feet planted in place he reaches across the room, picks her up by the waist like a cup and reels her in to hold her as close to his body as possible. She starts giggling and kicking and wriggling as he carries her back to the bed, putting her down so that her back's slouched against the headboards. "Quittit!" she laughs. "You overslept! We gotta check out!"

"I gotta check you out…" Luffy's saying nonsense just to kiss her, finding her mouth just as entertaining as it'd been last night. So it wasn't a fluke. He really does like girls now. Girl, rather. He likes Nami. He really likes Nami.

Nami likes brushing his hair when she's kissing him, and he doesn't brush his hair often, so the sensation's certainly enough to get him hard again. She notices and flinches. "Ah, weird! It can just go up right away like that?"

"Well, yeah. I can kind of make it do whatever. Wanna see?"

She cringes some more and shakes her head. "Not at all!"

Aw. He's kind of let down. "Alright. Whattaya wanna do instead?"

"I wanna check out of the inn! We get charged if we're out late."

"Fiiine." He knows Nami doesn't mess around about money, so he doesn't put up a fight. He just gives her a kiss, rolls off her and starts looking in the mess of bedsheets for his shorts as she packs toiletries into her massive suitcase. He wills his dick down and faces away from her while he puts them on to keep himself from getting distracted. Suddenly he remembers something that makes him sweat. "I slept in?" he realizes as he pulls a pant leg on. "Did you get that tea yet?"

"Yep. Very bitter."

"Awesome. So we're gonna do that all the time now, right?"

"What?"

"What we did last night. Can we keep doing it even when we're back on the ship?"

"How?"

"Well, I dunno. How do Robin and Franky do it?"

Nami grumbles. "I have to spend an hour every Tuesday night out on the lawn deck."

"Well there ya go. Just tell Robin you need her to do you the same solid."

"... I guess, but that’s embarrassing…"

“Who cares? We’re all friends here.” His shirt should be around here somewhere on the floor too. There it is. "I bet I could do it better next time," he reckons as he pulls on each red sleeve. "Way better."

"C'mon…"

"And you gotta let me put my mouth on it next time."

"Luffy."

"What?"

"You're being dirty!"

"I'm not being anything! I'm just saying!" He picks up his hat and secures it on. Then he looks at her, beautiful as ever. "There. Ready to go."

Something's wrong when she meets his eye. "... Are you sure this is okay?" she asks.

"Of course. Why?"

"No, no— think about it. Really think about what's at stake here if we end up hurting each other."

"Why would we hurt each other?"

"I just mean, like. These types of situations. Feelings can get involved."

"Oh, I bet. I felt crazy involved."

"Seriously, it was an impulsive thing for me to do," says Nami, looking down at the wood floor. "... I'm sorry for being selfish…"

"Selfish?" Luffy laughs. "That's hilarious. You melted my brain up. I dunno if I've ever felt that good in my life."

"Really?" Nami asks with big eyes. "In your life?"

When he really goes back and thinks about it, there are probably more impactful achievements of his that should be higher up on the list, but they all seem to kind of pale in comparison to last night. "Yeah, really." He loves the way she's started to look at him. "I don't think you have anything to worry about, Nami," he says, giving her a reassuring smile as he looks deep into her eyes from across the bed. "We weren't ever gonna hurt each other before, so why would we start now?"

Nami's gaze softens even more. "You sure it wouldn’t distract you from your dream?"

"You're part of my dream, Nami." A member of the crew that'll have each other's backs through thick and thin; isn't that one of the only things he's ever wanted? "Now we've just got a new good way to pass time together."

Something about what he's just said seems to hit Nami hard, as she just stands there staring with a smile growing across her face.

"C'mon," she says, locking up the clasps on her luggage. "Waste anymore time talking about it and we'll miss the complimentary breakfast."

"The what?"

"The c—"

Both Nami and the massive trunk are wrapped up in Luffy's arms in a second. She squeals in delight as he throws the door open, slams it behind them and books it carrying them down the stairs for what he now reasons is his second favorite indulgence on earth.

The many omelets from the buffet after working up such an appetite confirm that, no, food is still number one.
