SpongeBob knocks on Squidwards door after waking up. He woke up because he heard a loud noise, a gunshot noise, from the house of his next store neighbor who he always came to his house and drive him wild every single day.
He worked with him at the Krusty Krab and he did lots of things with him there like sell the pizza that a costumer ordered then he defended him for, did many things on their friendship list while thinking SpongeBob was going to explode, and helped each other not to be scared of the Hash Slinging Slasher.
SpongeBob enters the house and doesn’t see him anywhere. “Squidward” he calls the first time as he walks up the stairs for the first time. “Squidward?” he calls the second time as he opens the door to his room and then he sees it.
Squidward with blood all over him face and over his room. SpongeBob thinks this is some kind of joke as he looks at him more and then he realizes.
“SQUIDWARDDDDDD!!!”
He goes grabs his shell phone and call the ambulance and then he hangs up on the phone. He goes to Squidward. “Hey bud” he says as he sniffles.
SpongeBob cared for the octopus but he missed out on his concert that night since he had to do somethings with Patrick to get ready for their fun adventures they were going to do with Sandy the next day. That is not going to happen anymore. He also heard that his friend got booed at his concert too by the fish in Bikini Bottom. What kind of fish would do that to such a poor guy who worked so hard for his concert he had been waiting for.
“It”s me, SpongeBob I’m here I promise.” He starts to cry as he looks at him a lot more. He later finds out from Patrick that there was some kind of thing called the “Red Mist” to come over and make them do bad things to themselves.
A few minutes later the Sponge starts to sob but not like his normal sobbing like when he stubbed his toe or when Mr Krabs yelled at him or when everyone made fun of his ideas for Pretty Patties, it was a cry that meant that he was deeply depressed by what he had just seen and realized.
The Sponge cries for a couple more minutes while he holds the bloody octopus. Then the doctor come and they put him in to get him ready for his funeral. He watches his friend get driven away from him and then he goes back to his house and washes his body. Gary realizes that he just saw his friend like that and then in bed, Gary comes and snuggles with him to make his feel much better and not let him think about it anymore. “Thank you Gary” he says and then he falls asleep.
The next morning SpongeBob is on a cliff with Patrick and he talks about their grief together. He later forgets what he is talking about and the Sponge laughs a little as they watch the sunrise go up.
