Work Text:

Last weekend was rough. Getting drunk enough that she starting crying like a baby coming home from the bar in front of her family? Almost embarrassing. She knew she would need to explain herself eventually. Azriel gave her enough questioning stares that it wasn’t going to go away.

Oh well. That can wait. For now she is at the bar in one of her favorite red dresses, and she is drinking happily by herself. The alcohol doesn’t even burn as she sips it. The band is playing songs to dance to, but she doesn’t quite feel like dancing right now. She likes to dance with people; not all alone.

About the time she’s thinking about how lovely it would be to have someone to dance with, a beautiful female comes up to the bar next to her. Clad in a lovely, form-fitting dress. It was a deep burgundy, almost black color, and as the female turned towards Mor, she could tell it matched the female’s eyes. Mor must have missed her ordering them both drinks because the next thing she knew, the bartender was handing them two of the same drinks.

“Hey, I hope this isn’t too forward, but would you like to dance? This is my favorite song.” Mor’s heart stutters for only a moment before answering, “Of course!” Mor had definitely heard the song before, but didn’t know it as well as this female in front of her. “I’m Mor. What’s your name?” Mor asks over the music. “Call me Lisa,” she responded.

Lisa. What a beautiful name.

They take their drinks and make their way onto the dance floor. Lisa leads the way, and Mor is enraptured by her confidence. They begin to dance. Soft skin brushing against each other as they bounce and sway to the rhythm. They dance closer and closer together as they sip on their drinks.

She’s so pretty, it hurts. Mor looks down at her soft lips and thinks what she wouldn’t give to feel them against hers. She looks back up to meet Lisa’s eyes and realizes Lisa had caught her staring at her lips.

A smirk plays across Lisa’s face, “Like what you see, beautiful?” Mor shrugs, “Too hard to resist a glance,” and smirks back at her. Lisa falters slightly, her confidence winning back over as she says, “I know what I like. You wanna go waste some time?”

“Lead the way, Lisa,” is all Mor can say before she’s being led to a booth in the back section of Rita’s. They sit down in a rush and Lisa’s basically sitting across Mor’s lap. This is more of a public space than she’s used to being with a female. But she’s been hiding for so long, and the feelings, they’re not gone. She decides this is step one of coming out. Making out with a stranger in the back of a bar- good idea, right?
