Chapter Text

Ray was late getting to Yolo. He was supposed to meet Sand 20 minutes ago but since he is no longer allowed to drive until he completed his community service hours, he had to wait for a ride share.
He didn't want to keep Sand waiting any longer, so Ray rushed his way into the bar scanning the room for his boyfriend.
Ray still wasn't used to the idea of having a boyfriend, he'd never really felt the need for one before Sand showed up. His entire relationship with Mew was a complete disaster romantically, so it was safe to say Ray never actually had a boyfriend before.
Sand on the other hand was made for relationships. He was loyal, caring and loving and always put his entire heart into everything he did.
It didn't take long for Ray to spot Sands' signature leather jacket.
Ray's heartbeat sped up thinking about finally getting to see Sand. Ray was almost embarrassed to admit it, but whenever he wasn’t around or near Sand for the last couple of days, he felt this overwhelming sense of loneliness.
Ray was happily making his way to Sand, too oblivious to see Sand wasn't sitting alone. Before reaching the table Ray saw Boeing sitting entirely too close to Sand.
Ray had already heard from Mew that Boeing was hanging around Top, at that time Ray didn't really care about Boeing and Tops history, however Ray had forgotten that if Boeing was Tops ex, then that meant he was Sands ex as well.
Ray's entire mood instantly shifted. Ray could feel a sudden burning in the pit of his stomach as he watched Boeing leaning into Sand.
He couldn't see Sands' expression since he was turned away from him, however he could see the flirtatious pouting look on Boeing's face. Boeing was smiling up at Sand with a hopeful look on his face. It was at that moment that he saw Boeing reach over and place his hand on Sands' thigh.
Ray was seething.
Ray was no stranger to feeling jealous, especially when it came to Sand. His boyfriend was hot, caring and extremely charming so it wasn't a surprise random guys and girls would come up to him asking for his number. However Ray was never worried about that except this time it wasnt some random stranger from the bar it was the ex that got away. Ray knew Boeing was still a sensitive subject which made him worry even more. `
Ray felt a bit of panic as he got closer.
Would Sand break up with him to go back to his ex? Was Boeing trying to get Sand back? Would Sand give Boeing another chance if he offered?
Ray's mind was racing. He didn't want to lose Sand.
A wave of possessive anger rushed over Ray as he made it to the table.

He didn't care that Boeing and Sand were in the middle of a conservation; he pushed his way in between them, moving Boeing away from Sand.
Ray sat down, closing the distance between him and Sand. He linked his hand around Sand arm making clear he was marking what was his.
“Ray!” Sand exclaimed, startled by the sudden movement.
“Hey! Watch it! ” Boeing yelled.
“Oops. Sorry. I was just trying to sit next to my boyfriend.” Ray said, making sure to emphasize the last word.
Sand rolled his eyes and smiled at Ray's very subtle attempt.
Sand felt a bit awkward but deep down he always knew Ray was the jealous type even if he wouldn’t admit it out loud.
Boeing looked up at Sand surprised.
“Boyfriend?” Boeing asked.
“Last time we talked you didn't mention a Boyfriend.” Boeing continued.
This time Ray answered, turning his head to face Sand.
“Last time??” Ray asked, annoyed by the fact this wasn't the first time Sand was meeting up with his ex.
Sand let out a dramatic sigh.
“Boeings making it sound like more than it was. He saw me coming out of Yolo a few days ago and stopped me, but like I said that night, I’m not interested in getting back together.”
Ray should have been happy with Sand's answer but it just made him even angrier knowing that Boeing had offered himself back up to Sand.
Ray turned to Boeing, “I think Sand has made it pretty clear that he doesn't want anything to do with you.”
Boeing smirked. Ray couldn't really see what his appeal was. Sure Boeing was attractive but his personality was trash. What did Sand ever see in him?
“Has he tho?” Boeing responded with a smirk.
“I know you still have feelings for me, Sand,” he continued. “You still look at me the same..with those pretty brown eyes.”
Sand looked away from Boeing, muttering asshole under his breath.
Ray was not going to sit here and let Sands fucken ex rile him up. Ray got up from his seat, grabbing Sands hand, pulling him along.
They made it out of the bar, Ray making his way towards the parking lot.
“Ray…Ray” Sand called out, but Ray just kept walking.
“Ray.. stop pulling me” he continued. Sand was stronger than Ray, if he really wanted to escape Ray's hold he easily could have.
“Ray!” Sand yelled once more.
Ray turned back angry and frustrated.
“What!” Ray yelled back.
“Just stop for a minute”
“‘No!, not until we’re back home”

Sand let himself be dragged towards his bike he had parked a couple hundred feet away. He smiled looking at his shorter boyfriend pulling him along.
Sand knew Ray was angry. He was angry too, but Boeing was the same asshole he had been towards the end of their relationship. Sand did not like confrontation, and he had previously told Boeing they weren't ever getting back together.
However Sand found it funny how Ray had referred to his apartment as home. Ray got on the bike without saying another word and didn't say anything until they made it to Sands apartment door.
Sand unlocked the front door, opening it wide letting Ray in first.
Ray huffed as he walked in, turning on the room lights, leaving his wallet and keys on the kitchen table and taking off his shoes, placing them by the couch.
Sand saw the entire scene play out before him, and while he knew Ray was about to be annoying as fuck he couldnt help find it adorably cute how Ray looked so comfortable in his space.
Sand waited for Ray to start speaking.
“I don't like Boeing hanging around you.”
“I know,” Sand responded.
“Do you still love him?” Ray asked, his eyes blazing with emotion.
“No. I don't love him.” Sand said confidently.
“He wants you back, Sand…and if you don't deal with him, then I will.” Ray said seriously.
Sand was used to Ray's jealous antics, however he felt Boeing had really gotten under Ray's skin.
Sand moved closer to Ray, enveloping him in his arms. Rays tensed as Sand arms wrapped about him, however he quickly softened and relaxed in his boyfriend's arms.
“Ray… what's going on? You're usually not this jealous.”
“I don't want to lose you, Sand.” Ray said tears were forming in his eyes.
“Why would you think you would ever lose me?” Sand asked, confused.
“You have a type of Sand!” Ray explained.
Sand looked at his boyfriends more confused than ever.
“Your type is assholes.” Ray said, his voice breaking.
“Boeing is hot, charming, and doesnt give a fuck about anyone but himself. He's selfish, conceited, and thinks he's a god's gift to the world.” Ray states.
“Wow you got all of that from a 2 minute conversation?”
“Sand I know you” Ray started. “I'm just like him! Don't you see that your type is guys who are not good enough for you!” Ray said the tears were finally coming down.
“Baby, don't cry… Ray… You are nothing like Boeing.” Sand said. This was definitely not just about Ray being jealous.
Sand brough Ray to the couch, guiding him until Ray sat on his lap.
“You're. Nothing. Like. Boeing” Sand said, emphasizing every word.
Ray was crying, “But I am!” he exclaimed.
“Sand, how many times did I hurt you before this point? How many times was I selfish and treated you like you were my second option. How many times did you have to forgive me?” Ray said.
“Look we didn't have an easy beginning but I love you Ray.”
“And I love you too! But all those times you forgave me, what if… what if … what if you decide Boeing deserves forgiveness too.” Ray said.
“Ray…shhhhh….shhhhh.” Sand said, rubbing his back in circular motions.
Sand finally understood why Ray was so affected by Boeing.
“Ray, we've talked about this before, everything that happened we've worked through it. You want to know the difference between you and Boeing.” Sand asked.
Ray looked up expectantly.
“Ray, no matter how many times you have fucked up, no matter how many times we argue and fight, you always apologize when you have to. The reason I'm able to forgive you is because you actually apologize. Unlike Boeing who was an asshole and never once apologized for anything he ever did. I know you're working through things and I'm so proud of how far you've come. And even if we fight and even if we get angry with each other, I know that once we cool down you come running back to me ready to apologize and find a solution.” Sand finished.
Ray was silent.
“Now,” Sand continued. “Does Boeing being here annoy the fuck out of me, of course it does. But I promise you I would never go back to him, even if you weren't in the picture Ray, I made my peace with Boeing a long time ago. However, that doesn't mean I'm just going to go around punching all my exes, you know I hate confrontation.”
Ray wiped some residual tears from his face, with Sands t-shirt.
Sand laughed and rolled his eyes.
“Use your own shirt you dick.” Sand tells Ray playfully.
“I can't.” Ray sniffles, “This is Prada.” Ray states finally smiling at Sand.
“I'll talk to Boeing later.” Sand states sighing. “I‘ll make sure he understands this time.”
“Can I come?”
“I don't think I could stop you even if I said no.” Sand chuckles.
“You're right you wouldn't be able to stop me.” Ray responde. “I'm coming but I'll wait until you're done talking to him.”
“Ok.” Sand said, kissing the top of Ray's head. “By the way, have I ever told you how hot you look when you're jealous?” Sand whispered into Rays ear making goosebumps rise on Rays body.
Ray blushed, hiding his face in the book of Sands neck.
“Stop trying to seduce me and just take me to the room already.” Ray said, muffled by Sands' neck.
Sand gave Ray another reassuring kiss before picking him up in one swift motion and making his way towards his bedroom.
“You know, what my favorite thing about making up with you is? How needy you get when we have sex after.” Sand said to Ray who was still clinging to his body like a koala.
They made it to Sands bed clothes flying in all directions.
“Sand..” Ray whispered, before they spent the night entangled in each other's arms.
