I Could Make Our Circuitry Explode

Summary:

Very, very early days with Sendak and Hepta.

Chapter Text

Haxus’s mission has run into several major snags, and it’s only Sendak’s faith in him that’s keeping him calm. Well, that and having Hepta around. Haxus and Sendak aren’t a true dyad, almost no one really is, but they do stick together a lot more than is standard in the Fleet. Sendak hasn’t had anyone else spend this much time in his quarters in… ever? It should bother him, should prick at his territorial instincts, but instead it’s very soothing.

Every sleep shift they share, he has Hepta’s graceful little form curled up in his arms, and whenever they wake up together he gets to see the kit all sweet-faced and sleepy-eyed. That dusty, sunny quality to his scent that he shares with Haxus and every other scaled Galra Sendak has ever known is another comfort.

Their next recreation shift doesn’t line up exactly, but Sendak is pleased to note substantial overlap. After a long day of actually being productive and fitting in as much petty revenge against Tahk and Jurn as he can, (the real stuff will have to wait until he has Haxus back and more time to plan) he returns to his quarters to find Hepta already there, rolled up in the bedding and rocking in a way Sendak would recognize even without the delicious scent that’s filling the room like fog.

Where Haxus smells like bad intentions and the smoke of some rare tree, Hepta is… honeyed, that’s the old word for it, when someone is sweet but not truly floral, something stickier and sharper winding through their musk. Sendak shudders, unable to help opening his mouth a little to taste the air.

“I can give you privacy if you want it, little one,” he says, and Hepta squeaks in surprise, and then chuckles, sitting up and poking his head out of the blankets, all wide eyes and pricked ears. Ancestors help Sendak, he’s so cute.

“Good evening, Commander,” he says, blushing. “And, I—it would be all right. If you wanted to watch.”

Sendak chuckles, unfastening his chestplate and shoulder guards. “You are very pretty, ensign,” he says, pulling the seat from his workstation around to offer a good view. He settles into it, and Hepta’s flush deepens, but he smiles, and unwinds the blanket. Sendak smiles back, and raises the temperature of the room, since scaled Galra are so easily chilled. Hepta is a soft, grey-blue color, and of course he’s even smaller out of armor. Lithe and delicate and adorable, and Sendak purrs softly, making himself comfortable as Hepta does the same, leaning back on the pile of blankets, legs open to reveal a sweet little sheath gleaming with slick, and his cute, blunt cock with its high, rounded knot, much bigger than Sendak would have expected.

“Like what you see, Commander?” he asks, and where from Haxus it would sound absolutely wicked, Hepta says it like there’s really some doubt.

“I do,” Sendak tells him. “Very much. Why don’t you show me exactly how you grip that pretty knot?” Hepta whimpers, and wraps one hand around his knot, the heel of the other pressing on the spot between his sheath and his hole. Sendak shivers. “I like that, too,” he finds himself saying, something he hasn’t admitted to anyone besides Haxus in… well. He has lost count. Not that Throk didn’t figure it out on his own, the conniving little bastard.

Hepta smiles at him, panting. “I’d love to watch you do this, Commander,” he says, and Sendak chuckles.

“Perhaps another time,” he says, feeling amused and affectionate and fond.

Hepta is still young, so it doesn’t take him very long. He seems to like a slow, firm touch that gets faster and faster, and he makes the most adorable little whimpering noises, and the way his ears droop does something to Sendak that may prove fatal. He shivers, the craving to lap up the gleaming wetness on Hepta’s inner thighs rising to a desperate hunger. But he hasn’t asked, and the poor kit has not been asked enough, for anything.

“O-ohh, sir,” Hepta breathes, and then lets out a string of filthy curses as his head tosses from side to side and his thighs shake.

He wails when he comes, and both hands move to grip his knot, squeezing in rhythmic pulses, and gently pulling as he bucks and shudders his way back to stillness. Sendak shudders, unable to take his eyes off of him. After a moment of catching his breath, Hepta blinks his big eyes open again, gazing at Sendak with an expression he can’t read, scent… complicated.

“You are delectable,” Sendak tells him. “And you are under my protection whether you allow me to taste you or not.”

“I… I… wh-what about your mate, sir?” Hepta whispers, one hand still gripping his knot. Haxus does have a reputation, and Sendak can’t blame the kit for looking a little scared.

“Letting me touch you is not the same as letting him touch you. You owe him nothing but respect, as someone who belongs to me.”

“...I will need time to think, Commander,” Hepta says softly, and Sendak smiles.

“Of course, little one,” he says, and Hepta blushes, hopping up from the bed to bathe. Sendak shivers, stretches, and then, once he’s sure the bathroom door is shut behind Hepta, buries his face in the bedding for a long moment, basking in that rich, honeyed scent.
