Summary:

The Schweiden Adlers lose a match and subsequently a tournament - the consequences are dire. Ushijima Wakatoshi, veteran ace of the Adlers, finds himself torn between loyalty and his own self-interests as the Adlers pivot to a new direction. With his heart in Sendai and his support system crumbling around him, will Wakatoshi take a chance on his own happiness?

Notes:

This work has been a labour of love and terror - I signed up during my Masters year (no, I don't know what possessed me!) after having surgery on my wrist (yes I know) and needing to write something, anything other than my dissertation. Unsurprisingly I had to set the story aside whilst I finished my degree and picked it up again in time to sprint to the finish. And here it is! My angsty, fluffy love letter to UshiTen with fabulous artwork by Jin. Jin's progress photos and the unflagging encouragement from Jin and Whale, marvellous beta supreme, got this story to its end.
