Chapter Text
Lumine awakens, her senses dulled and confused. As her surroundings come into view, she realizes she is in a hospital room. She turns and sees her brother Aether, slumbering soundly in a chair beside her bed. The first thing she noticed, was his smooth honey blond hair. Aether's honey-blond hair and golden eyes had always been the envy of his peers. It was as if the sun had kissed him on the head and bestowed him with its warmth and radiance. Everywhere he went, people couldn't help but stare at him in awe and admiration.
Her tense body immediately relaxed at the sight of her brother. With a quick survey of her surroundings, she attempted to make sense of the situation. She needed to understand where she was and what was happening so she could take appropriate action.
Lumine slowly sits up in the hospital bed, her body feeling weak and sore. She takes a deep breath feeling the oxygen fill her lungs, steadying herself before trying to swing her legs over the side of the hospital bed. A sharp pain shot up her legs, causing her to wince in discomfort. Aether wakes up by the sound of sheets moving Aether is taken aback as he notices that Lumine has woken up. Lumine had been in a coma for an extremely long time and even the doctors couldn't do anything about it.
They always seemed to talk about how "She's going to wake up soon, if you keep paying we will put more effort into our medicines" or "She's doing fine we just had to check up on her heart rate". But he knew, Aether knew that it was all a lie. He didn't care though all he wanted was for his sister to be in a safe place. A place where she could be away from all the danger and threats.
But right now, he only stared in shock at Lumine. Aether and Lumine locked eyes and suddenly Lumine could feel a sharp pain in her head.
"Where am I?" Lumine croaked out. Aether didn't respond though, he stared at her as if he had seen a corpse come back alive. (Which is basically what happened)
Before Lumine could say anything else Aether sprang up from his chair and ran out of the room, from a distance you could hear him shouting, "Doctor! Get me a doctor!"
After a few minutes of Lumine just staring at the door, Aether came back with a young-looking doctor and two other people. One had dark green hair with teal undertones at the roots. He also had a purple marking on his forehead the shape of a diamond and the other was a tall man with amber eyes and yellow pupils. He had flaunting dark brown hair tied in a long ponytail reaching down to his waist.
In Lumine's opinion, these two men were very handsome. Like really handsome. It's not every day that you get to see such fine men like them, she thought.
The shorter man looked at her with doubt in his eyes and Lumine opened her mouth to say something but she coughed up blood with each word she tried to say. This made Aether scream out in shock.
"Lumine! Are you okay?" Aether quickly ran to her side and grabbed her by her arms. Lumine could hear his heavy panting, which probably happened because he was running around like a madman. Lumine looked beyond Aether's head and saw the doctor looking at her uninterested. This confused Lumine, Isn't he meant to be checking up on her or something? She was in no place to judge but this guy should get fired.
"Tighnari can you check up on her, Please?" Aether pleaded to the so-called 'Tighnari' which stepped forward with slow strides. Once he was stood next to Lumine he looked at her in disgust. I mean sure, there was blood on her face but other than that why would he look at her like that?
"Uhm, are you gonna check up on me or not?" Lumine said, her voice cracked in the middle of her sentence.
"Mhm." Tighnari said.
He didn't even move an inch from his spot which gave Lumine the time to look at his features. He had fair skin, chin-length dark green hair with black roots and light green streaks at the front, and pale-pupiled eyes that faded from brown to green. He also possesses large, pointy black ears and a fluffy tail in two shades of dark green.
Oh, so he's a furry. No wonder he doesn't know what to do. Lumine turned to look at the two men who didn't move or say a word. When she looked at them once she thought they were handsome and all that, but right now? They were both looking at her the same way that Tighnari did. Aether turned to see what Lumine was looking at and all he saw was Xiao and Zhongli smiling at him. This did not go unnoticed by Lumine
What the hell? They are such two-faced bastards!!!
