Chapter Text
Izuku Midoriya hated a lot of things. It included his childhood "friend" Katsuki Bakugo, his unbelievably strict mom, Katsudon (which he'd never eat even if his life depended on it), and Heroes. So fucking much.
But, he absolutely despised All Might over everything. His weird ass hair, personality, actions, et cetera... They all made him want to throw up. No wonder Izuku found himself hating that damn bastard ever since he was a child.
It was weird, since he absolutely loved Villains with their shenanigans and All Might was the most feared one out there. Shouldn't he have looked up to him especially..?
In the boy's perspective, absolutely not. He thought the best Villains had to be extremely intelligent, manipulative and ruthlessly calculating. All Might was just some stereotypical maniacal brute to his eyes and if it weren't for his infamous Quirk, he wouldn't even deserve that title. How pathetic. What a horrible excuse for an all-powerful Villain, Izuku's mind would tell itself while sneering at All Might merch.
So, when the said person passed on his stupidly overpowered Quirk onto the soon-to-be high schooler and chose him as the heir to the throne after getting impressed by his outrageously arrogant attitude flipping off a sludge Villain, Izuku had mixed emotions. One side of his brain told him that he should make himself look like a failure just in spite of All Might — while the other told him to be as wicked as possible so that even his "current mentor" would fall onto his knees and beg for mercy.
Then, once Izuku uses his new Quirk to conquer all of Japan, he'd kill All Might. What a great plan, he thought. As expected from the magnificent and amazing Izuku Midoriya.
In the last few weeks of middle school, he didn't even have to try signing up for a Villain school. Being the successor of All Might meant that he instantly got approved to Japan's most elite Villain academy, U.A. High without even needing to take an entrance exam or whatever the hell Izuku saw the others doing there. Ironically, the school's name was an inverted wordplay on the term "Hero". He found it rather amusing.
For now, he'd accept the invite. Izuku had much more than just world domination on his mind, after all.
To be honest, Izuku was pretty impressed by the architecture of U.A. High as he paused his steps in front of the entrance. The entire building was shaped like an upside-down U and every inch was covered with red tinted glass that contrasted nicely with the perpetually gloomy-looking sky of the area.
He fixed his perfectly quintessential tie again for the hundredth time this morning, frowning at his black uniform with red accents. Sure, it looked badass and cool, but this was the uniform of a school associated with All Might. Just the thought of the Villain made his smile vanish into thin air.
Izuku started making his way across the imposing black barrier wall surrounding the school that was apparently meant for defensive purposes. And, when the school staff means defensive, they mean shooting anyone without warning if they try to enter.
The teenager heard a bang as a short arrow was launched towards his head at a very high speed. He swiftly tilted his head and dodged the sharp object without even flinching a bit. Izuku had dodged things way too many times in his life — especially at home.
"...The school needs to improve their security system. Damn, what the fuck was that? One out of five stars," Izuku mumbled a quick negative rating of the U.A. Barrier under his breath as he rolled his eyes at the arrow on the ground. He flicked a part of his lilac-colored bangs out of his eyes before picking up the arrow to attack someone later if needed.
As Izuku continued walking, he heard more arrows getting shot behind him, followed by surprised yelps and cursing. It seemed like his fellow first-years had also dodged the attacks, but just barely.
He smirked to himself. Losers.
