Have Yourself A Very Werewolf Christmas

All a werewolf wants for Christmas...

Notes:

This is for all fans of Werewolf!Lucas

Work Text:

“Have a good Christmas, you two,” Ros called out as Adam and Lucas left the Grid.  “See you in the new year!”

They called out similar greetings and then departed.  With the full moon a few days after Christmas, they’d planned to enjoy Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at home, before driving down to a cottage they’d booked on Dartmoor on Boxing Day.

When they arrived at the cottage, Lucas did the unpacking, while Adam set about his plans for Christmas for the werewolf.  He knew exactly what the werewolf wanted, which made it easy, but carrying it out was going to be somewhat harder, since he’d been unable to share his thoughts with Lucas.  No-one, not even Lucas himself, knew quite how much the werewolf retained following the transformation, but it seemed wiser to Adam to keep his ideas to himself.

The transformation happened in the early hours of December 27th, with the first thing Adam was aware of being a loud snuffling in his ear, which indicated it was the werewolf which was now on the bed.  He was glad he’d sorted everything out in advance.

The day was spent out on the moors.  There was no snow, and it wasn’t quite as cold as some years, but Adam enjoyed the walk with the werewolf bouncing around as if he hadn’t a care in the world, which was probably true.

In the evening they watched a Christmas film and then Adam told the werewolf that he needed to go to sleep, or Father Christmas wouldn’t come.  He’d already explained that Father Christmas knew he wouldn’t be around until after Christmas Day and therefore was making a special trip out for him.

Once he was sure the werewolf was asleep, sprawled out on the rug in the sitting room, Adam went upstairs and got dressed in the Santa outfit he’d borrowed.  Then he crept back downstairs, carrying an old pillowcase into which he put the werewolf’s presents.  He slipped into the sitting room and spotted the werewolf opening one eye.  He shook his head and the werewolf put a paw over his eyes and pretended to be asleep.

Adam laid the presents out and then slipped back out of the room.  He had a strong suspicion the werewolf had been watching him again, but he didn’t look back.  Back in the bedroom he hurriedly removed the Santa outfit and packed it back in his suitcase, before climbing into bed and switching off the light.

A few minutes later he heard the sound of steady paw steps coming up the stairs and shortly afterwards the werewolf leapt onto the bed and settled down.

The next morning the werewolf woke him by bouncing round the room, yipping excitedly.  Adam groaned, looked at the time and, somewhat reluctantly, got out of bed.  They went downstairs and then into the sitting room, to see the presents still lying where Adam had left them.

The werewolf bounced round the sitting room several times and then opened the presents which were all loosely wrapped to ease the process.  Finally, he sat down and gave one of his happy howls.

All he’d wanted for Christmas had been for Father Christmas to deliver some presents to him.
