Song Ga-eun had never expect her relationships could last more than a month, what with her contamination OCD and the extreme reactions that comes after it. But in the last few years, she made irreplaceable bonds among the people at her favorite restaurant, Yummy Fried Chicken, and join the Magpie Tower, a fantasy-like volunteering organization, to help the aimless and the hopeless like her.
And in these years, she met someone so similar, yet so different, to her.
Shin Yoon-seok. A kind and meticulous doctor. An understanding and caring garden hobbyist.
Her handsome and charming boyfriend, who managed to casted her doubts and fears away persistently without faltering about his feelings for her, and Ga-eun had never loved a man as much as him.
Gods above knew she probably saved the universe in her last life to score such an incredible man!
This is why, she is going to give him the best anniversary gift a woman in her prime could prepare.
Ga-eun looked over herself in front of the full-body mirror. She was currently donning a set of lacy, black bra and underwear. Along with the fit are a pair of fishnet stockings and platform stiletto heels.
She have to admit, the internet wasn't joking around when they said it's the sexiest fit to seduce a man.
Grinning victoriously, she felt increasingly confident that Yoon-seok will not take his eyes off her throughout the night. It is the best present any man could ever ask for in a relationship! She must-

"Speaking of the devil..." she thought as she reached for her phone.

Ga-eun smiled softly as she glanced down at her phone. It was still a surprise that an introspective individual like Yoon-seok to always include emoticons in his messages like her outgoing best friend Ha-yeon, but it was a welcoming one.

Around an hour?
"Enough time to get myself sort out." She hummed excitedly, albeit with a hint of nervousness, as she replied an 'okay' to her boyfriend. Looking over herself once more, she wore the black swing slit dress that she laid across the bed. The slit was low enough that her entire right leg can be seen but it was still decent enough to not let her more intimate surprise to get discover.
"I can do this," the germaphobe pumped herself up with a clenching fist, "Or else I am not Song Ga-eun."
~~~~~~~~~~
"Is something wrong, Ga-eun?" Yoon-seok frowned in concern as he passed a clean napkin to his girlfriend, "You have been spacing out countless time during dinner. Are you feeling sick?"
"Whu-" she blinked out of her stupor, her grip on the napkin went tighter, "No! I am just-" she looked at anywhere but her boyfriend before standing up suddenly, startling the man.
"I have a gift for you! Wait here!"
"Ga-eun! Wha-"
"I'll call you once I'm done!"
She rushed back into their bedroom, not without wiping off the grease from her hands before dumping both the napkin and her dress into the cleaning bin. Looking over herself once more in front of the mirror, she took a deep breath before lying down on the bed sideway stiffly and mustered what she hoped that expressed sexy.
"Yoon-seok-ah~! You can come in now~!"
The door opened immediately, and in came her dashingly handsome boyfriend, who looked confused at first before his eyes went wide in shock.
Ga-eun smiled even wider, pleased at the reaction she received. Before she could continue to speak, Yoon-seok's sudden frown made her heart stood still.
"Ga-eun-ah, who gave you this idea?" His questioning tone was filled with concern, taking off his black formal jacket and covered his girlfriend with it, "Your smile looked very forced. You are clearly uncomfortable."
Her hands reached to her cheeks, only just realizing her jaws were clenching tightly this whole time. Her built-up confidence was demolished upon that bitter realization. She clenched tightly at the jacket and huddled herself into it, not wanting to face Yoon-seok at all after this ruination of a surprise.
Song Ga-eun screwed up, her luck had been used up and this is the moment where Shin Yoon-seok finally realized what a waste of time she is and ask for-
"Ga-eun-ah, having sex isn't a requirement. I love you for your heart, not your body."
The inexperienced woman was startled out of her anxious mind, glancing towards the gentle man who gazed at her fondly. There was no subtle irritation or annoy in his eyes, Ga-eun was confident in her dissection of emotions, but it was still too hard to digest what he meant by that.
Sex isn't a requirement? Preposterous. How would they have a child, their proof of their love, otherwise?
Yoon-seok sighed softly as he bend down slightly to pushed her hair carefully behind her right ear. He then sat closed to her, his arm wrapped gently around her shoulder. Ga-eun couldn't resisted as she laid her head against his shoulder, glancing away from him with conflicting feelings.
The silence went on for a while, though it was not suffocating. The quietness of their surroundings briefly allowed them to gather their thoughts.
The woman spoke first.
"My maternal uncle and aunt married for love. I still remembered how happy both of them were when they were exchanging their rings," the image of two youths in love crumbled as they aged, "But as years goes on, my uncle got annoyed because my aunt couldn't get pregnant. He eventually cheated on her with a younger and prettier woman that gave him a son." She sighed wistfully, "The last time I saw my once aunt, it was at her funeral. She left behind a suicide note, stating she wished she was reborn with a body that was capable of having a baby."
He squeezed her shoulders in comfort, "My condolence."
"It's fine. I wasn't particularly close to them because my father doesn't really want to associate further with his divorced wife's family." She snuggled closer, "But that note really impacted me. I don't want to ended up like her."
"You wouldn't." Yoon-seok pulled the startled woman onto his lap, making sure their eyes stay connected to each other before he continued, "Song Ga-eun, remember what I said to you those years ago?"
"A romantic relationship doesn't have to be confined to tight embraces or gazing from afar. I enjoy plants, and you dislike dirt. That doesn't mean we're not a good match. It just means we can try growing hydroponic plants together."
"You're not weird; you're unique. Do you still remember the lines from the script?"
"What if I said that a girl like you is just right for me? Your past self, your present self, your future self... All of you. You can reject me once, twice, a hundred times... But I will still choose to be by your side."
How could she ever forget?
The strong woman that dominated the office with an iron fist sniffed uncontrollably before embracing the love of her life tightly, her tears instantly soaked his good shirt.
The attentive man who fell in love at first sight doesn't mind, his arms wrapped the jewel of his heart around protectively.
"...Even if we don't have a child?"
"Even if we don't have a child. If you want one, we could always opt for In-Vitro fertilization."
"Even if we don't have sex?"
"Even if we don't have sex. We already forgo kissing, so it should make sense we can forgo sex."
"...Oh."
"I know, you silly girl." His cheek rubbed her forehead adoringly, "You definitely gave me a shock back there."
"Shut up." she shyly punched his chest, "At least tell me I looked sexy?"
Yoon-seok leaned back to inspected her outfit seriously before goofily beamed at her, "You are very sexy, Ga-eunnie! I'm so lucky to love you!"
"I'm the luckier one to love you, Shin Yoon-seok." Ga-eun giggled affectionately before examining her boyfriend jestingly, "It's really unfair that we have this conversation with one of us nearly naked though, don't you think, Yoon-seokkie?"
"Aigoo~! Just say you want me to be sexy like you, Ga-eunnie!"
Both of them laughed jovially as the woman removed herself from his lap so he could strip himself down to his boxer, which coincidentally matched her color. At that discovery, they laughed even harder, not even stopping when he helped removing her heels and stocking, until they covered themselves with their blanket.
Pulling each other closer, they gazed at each other, fond smiles on their faces until they fell deeply into their slumberland.
Sex is society's way of love
But for people who don't need that act for love
They see intimacy as cuddles near a warm fire
A movie and hot chocolate with marshmallows
Sometimes being taken advantage of
You'll realize you don't need to fit into society's way of love
Run as far as your heart guides you
Run to the person you love who accepts you
