Chapter Text
Putting the last plate into the cabinet, Genos wiped his hands on a dish towel, glancing over to where his teacher sat. Saitama was laying in front of the TV on a half-unfolded futon in nothing but his boxers, fanning himself with a manga volume and muttering about the heat as he tried to splay his limbs appropriately to maximize contact with the cool wooden floors.
"It's so hooooooooot," Saitama groaned, flopping off the futon and pressing his face to the floor.
"The temperature today is expected to reach thirty-eight Celsius degrees," Genos responded as he walked over and sat at the table where his notes were stacked.
"I wonder if I could punch the sun," Saitama mumbled against the floor. Genos restrained himself from explaining why that was not only a bad idea but also an improbable one, considering the distance.
The cyborg used the time to glance over his teacher and take stock of the slick sheen of sweat covering his skin, accentuating the dips and curves of his muscles. The bald man finally sat up, scrunching his nose as his sweat-sticky cheek peeled itself away from the floor. He looked over at Genos, squinting at the cyborg and eyeing him up and down. "You aren't even hot at all are you?"
He sounds sort of jealous Genos thought fleetingly. "No, Master. My internal temperature is highly regulated by my cooling systems." Saitama just nodded, picking up his manga and flipping through it for a moment before seeming to give up and using it to fan himself again. He seemed finished speaking so Genos turned his attention to his notes, or tried to. His teacher kept moving though, fidgeting?
Genos felt sorry for the man, certain that the heat was the cause of his discomfort. He wondered if he were to buy air conditioning for the apartment if Saitama would refuse to use it. He could offer to pay the difference on the electricity bill perhaps?
"Genos." The cyborg looked at his Master to let him know he had his attention. Saitama looked... odd. He almost looked sorry for having spoken, seeming to change his mind about what he was going to say.
"Yes, teacher?" Genos said finally, hoping to prompt him into continuing.
Saitama's lips thinned for a moment before he took to biting at the inside of his cheek, clearly thinking hard. After a moment he gave in and scooted up to the table. "How do you feel when... When we.. you know. Do stuff?" He asked, not avoiding looking at the cyborg but keeping his head turned to not look at him head on.
The question seemed innocent enough though Genos realized from his teacher's demeanor that he wasn't talking about just any "stuff" that they did together.
"I feel good, teacher. I enjoy doing stuff with you." It was true. He may not have admitted it out loud as of yet but Genos was quite a bit... Not necessarily "in love" with his teacher but certainly "in like" with him. Feelings of admiration combined with the pleasant discovery of how calm and, dare he think it, safe he felt with the man. Accepted. Saitama was Saitama, and he treated everyone the way he treated them without prejudice. The simplicity was inspiring. A man who became a hero because he wanted to. And he wanted to because he wanted to help people, barely sparing a thought for getting credit for his heroic deeds (or not, as the case typically was.) Truly, the man was a beacon of--
"No I mean. HOW do you feel? Like. Not having skin and flesh and all." How did he feel not having skin? That. Was an odd question, even for Master. "I do not think about it often. I am grateful for the body I have because it gives me the strength I will need to get revenge on the cyborg that destroyed my town and murdered my parents. I asked Dr. Stench for this so it doesn't make sense to dwell on what I used to have versus what I have now, meaning my strength--"
Genos wasn't even startled by the 'BANG' of Saitama's forehead cracking against the table, though he was curious if it was another secret training technique. Perhaps to fortify the human skull against blows to the head. He made a mental note to make a note of it.The cyborg was perplexed by the serious expression adorning his Master's face when his head finally rose from the table, though it did also add fire to the 'head banging as training' theory he was working on.
"Genos."
"Yes Master?"
Saitama was quiet for a long moment and Genos wasn't sure what to expect. "You do not have flesh."
Yet again, it was weird for his teacher to point that out but Genos would play along. "I do not."
"You don't have flesh but when we do stuff, you seem like you can feel it. How can you feel it?"
Oh. Genos glanced away from the man, trying to figure out how to explain it succinctly. "I get... data input." Genos started, noticing Saitama's eyebrows beginning to furrow. "I have sensors all over that feed into the nerve centers of my brain. I get input from pressure plates, thermal readouts, monitors for humidity and changes in wind speed and direction--"
"So you can feel a breeze?"
Genos frowned. "Not exactly... The sensations are mostly muted. I have senses, touch, taste, smell... but... they are less than what I remember from when I was fully human. When I feel things... it seems less in the moment and more remembering how they felt?" The explanation wasn't exactly right, but then again it wasn't wrong either.
Saitama looked concerned. "I think," Genos said quickly, "that if I wanted him to, Dr. Stench could improve what I am actually able to feel as sensations. It's something that would take time though..." The cyborg paused, considering ending it there but then deciding his teacher deserved to know "Actually he has told me that he can before, but at the time I was far too impatient and I felt it was unnecessary... all I needed to be was strong, I didn't need to be able to feel things..." He finished, slightly ashamed of remembering himself at that time.
"I see..." Saitama said quietly and Genos wondered if his master, too, was upset at remembering how detached from his human side Genos had made himself in the name of revenge. The silence was awkward and Genos found himself wishing he hadn't admitted all that he had.
"So when we... do those things... you don't even get anything out of it do you?" Saitama asked quietly, looking at Genos with a strange expression. He looked... Sad? Guilty?
"What?" Genos asked dumbly, not really understanding the question and too distracted by the expressions on his teacher's face.
Saitama definitely looked guilt ridden now, and embarrassed. "I can't believe this... All this time I've been.. Feeling good. Really good, Genos," he said seriously, locking eyes with the cyborg. "And you've just... I don't know what I thought. You... Seemed to like it when I touched you... And you touched me. I thought you were getting off, too."
"Master--"
"I can't believe how selfish I've been. Just whenever I felt like it and you went along with it. God. I really thought you... I didn't know it was just me the whole time."
"Master, I'm sorry." Genos finally said. Saitama's eyebrows shot up at that.
"What on earth are you sorry for? I'm the one feeling good while you have to... Just sit there. And make me feel good."
Make him feel good...? "Master... Surely you don't think I've been doing anything that I didn't want to do?" Genos asked, opting to let his feelings on not physically feeling go for the moment.
Saitama looked embarrassed again. "No.. I mean... I know you're okay with it. It's not like I'm forcing you... but I... Don't know... I guess I don't understand why you still do it if you can't really feel it."
Genos knew his master wasn't trying to be mean at all, was used to him saying what was on his mind, but it still felt like a jab at his mechanical body and it's lack of human-level physical sensation... But no, nevermind. That wasn't important at this moment since, after all, there was nothing he could do about it until he saw Dr. Stench again.
There had to be a way to make his master understand why he still wanted to do those things though. At this point he was afraid the man would refuse to be touched now, knowing there wasn't actually anything he could do to give the cyborg the same physical pleasures.
"Master, do you want to make me feel good?" Genos asked, tilting his head slightly.
Saitama looked vaguely offended, "Ofcourse I do."
"If you could make me feel good... Physically... Without deriving your own physical pleasure at the same time, would you?"
"You mean... If I got you off without getting myself off?" Genos nodded. "Yeah, I would do it,"Saitama said, looking a little confused about the line of questioning.
"Would you feel happy seeing me feeling good?"
"..Yeah," Saitama admitted, the lightest touch of a flush gracing his ears as he finally seemed to understand where this was going.
"I'm glad to hear that, Master." Genos said, smiling softly at the man. "I, too, feel happy seeing you feel good. I like watching you. The way your muscles tense," Saitama was definitely blushing now and Genos allowed himself a small mental smirk, "and the way you blush to your ears." He could tell the man was fighting to avoid looking away and covering his ears, his pale skin and the way it lended itself to easy blushing being a source of embarrassment. But he also knew if he went a little further he would get to see more.
Genos let his voice drop an octave. "I love seeing you twitching around me when I'm inside you, how your eyes get watery when you're on the edge... And when you tip over.. Such an intense look of concentration."
Saitama was red as a beet now and avoiding eye contact, "Okay, okay. I get it please shut up now."
Though he heard the request, Genos wasn't finished yet. Seeing Saitama flustered made him brave. He scooted closer to his teacher and was pleased when the man didn't try to move away. "I would love to see it right now."
Saitama tensed. "You... what?"
It was really quite hard for Genos not to smirk as he leaned closer, letting his nose brush lightly against the shell of the other man's ear before whispering hotly, "I want it now, Saitama."
“Ah.” Saitama pointedly looked away, face burning. “Okay then.”
